Valerie Milner finds a place for herself managing the office at Stephens Construction, and the three brothers who are her bosses. They've become her family. Except things are changing. Her feelings for one of the them is becoming decidedly un-friend-like. She's gone down that road before, and she's not losing another friendship simply to scratch an itch.
Hiding his feelings from Val is becoming more difficult for Andrew Stephen. Not only is she his best friend, but he's also her boss. The whole thing has bad idea written all over it. Unfortunately, his libido has other plans. Late-night fantasies are keeping him awake and daydreams are distracting him from work. When he finally makes his move, Val enforces the friend zone.
All bets are off, though, when Val gets caught in the crosshairs of an unknown stalker. Drew steps in to protect her, and those lines Val didn't want to cross with him start blurring. Now it's not only their lives—but their hearts—in danger.
Shea Brighton has immersed herself in the fictional worlds of her favorite authors for years, never thinking she'd join them in their story-telling journey. However, life leads you to places you weren't expecting. That's what happened to her a few years ago, and her writing pursuit began.
Shea makes her home in Virginia, having left her native New York years ago. You can usually find her watching some sporting event on TV (though baseball holds her heart), visiting a certain Mouse, winery hopping with her friends, or curled up with a book.
Val works for the Stephens brothers and is basically a friend to all of them, middle brother Drew seems to insert himself into her life more than the rest of the family. I enjoyed the chemistry and connection between Val and Drew. The story line is well done and the suspense underlying plot will continue. I enjoyed the banter and family dynamics in the book, so easy to relate to the situations as well as the characters. The book has family, friendship, drama, a crazy company saboteur and a stalker that is after Val. Great Book.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I really enjoyed this story. This is the first book I have read by Shea. It is the beginning of the Stephens Brothers series and is Drew and Vals love story. They are close friends who find out what they truly desire is right in front of them. The storyline is well written with some drama and suspense along with the romance. The characters have great chemistry between them. You also cannot help but like all the brothers. I look forward to the next book in the series.

This was my first read from this author. I am not the biggest fan of the story being written in the third person, however I loved the character of Valerie. I thought she was very funny. I liked the story and I will follow this series. 4.5 stars.

A good introduction to the Stephen's brothers series and it starts with middle brother Drew and co-worker, family friend, and best friend Valerie. The story is sweet, funny, romantic, steamy, with some twist and turns, mystery, sad at a times and an absolute binge-worthy.

This is my first time reading this author and I loved it. It is not a standalone but each book features a brand new romance between one of the brothers. This is the middle brothers romance, Drew with family friend, co-worker and bestfriend Val. These two have something very special and Val is afraid romance will get in the way while Drew understands she is the love of his life and wants everything. Meanwhile someone is after their company, Val and is stalking them. This story has it all. Bestfriends who find love, hot scenes, a stalker who is after Val, Danger and a big mystery that is not solved but continues in the next book with the next brother,

This is a new author for me and as a start to a new series...I thought it was great, I loved it so much and got lost in the wonderful story. I am so in love with the Stephens brothers, they are all wonderful and made me fall for them for different reasons. The connection and chemistry between Drew and Val was so good and believable, they made me smile and sigh so much; I love that they started as friends.
The story is sweet, sexy, romantic, sad, funny and was woven with suspense and mystery. I am assuming that with each story we will get a bit more of the puzzle until the final book of the series where we know everything....I have no idea what will happen but am so ready to find out - roll on book two!!

Great introduction to the Stephens Brothers, also referred to as the Hotties by Val's best friend. Great story and character development. A fun read! I loved the dialogue between the brothers, and the heat between middle hottie, Drew, and Val. Looking forward to more books in this series!
In Case You Didn't Know is the 1st book in the Stephens Brothers Series. I would definitely place this in the friends to lovers genre, with a bit of a slow burn feel. Please note that the slow burn feel is implied, as we are given the background of the Stephens brothers.
Drew Stephens' feelings for his best friend Valerie had changed. He no longer looked at her will feelings of loving friendship, but with lustful intent.
Val thought of the 3 Stephens' brothers has family. She was closest to Drew. He was her bestfriend and she loved their playful relationship. Things were changing. She started to see him in as more sexy way. She wanted more than friendship. But didn't want to totally lose Drew or his family if they didn't work out.
Drew was going to make his move. He started to make his move. Then in a turn of events no one expected Val was and danger and Drew vowed to protect her.
If you are ready to read a suspenseful, lust filled, friends to enemies romance. Look no further. Enjoy reading about Drew Stephens, but this is just the beginning. We are introduced the 2 other brothers during this book and I am excited to know that each has their own book.
Valerie works for the three Stephens brothers in their construction company as an Executive Assistant. She is independent and a strong female lead who gets along the best with Andrew, the middle brother and their relationship evolves into something deeper with lots of steam! There is intrigue and suspense in this storyline which keeps the reader's attention. The characters are relatable and likeable. An enjoyable read.
