Alone and untouched, she’s an alpha’s perfect prey.

No woman willingly travels to the Boundarylands.

It’s where they are—the Alphas.

Faith has come to the Boundarylands looking for her sister—one she thought died years ago. She’ll do anything in order to bring her sister home…even take down the massive alpha who threatens to stand between Faith and the only family she has left.

But the massive devil isn’t afraid of Faith or her rifle. He wants something from her—something dark and primal. He craves to know if she shares her sister’s omega nature…and he knows his touch can bring her true essence to life.

Omegas may be rare, but every woman knows their fates are hellish—held captive, broken, mated, knotted, and bred. Faith is sure she would rather die than be one herself…but that certainty fades the moment she feels the heat of her alpha’s touch.

And this my dear friends is where I fucked up, see I wanted to quit at the previous book but I just continued and look where I ended up....in Manwhoresville!!!!

So
The h Faith is the sister of the previous h Hope, she too has grown up in a strict religious cult but she's a "good girl". Fpr 5 years she's thought her sister was dead until she realized that not only had her parents lied about her sister's whereabouts but also that her sister is in the dreaded Boundarylands. Our timid but plunky h, gets her family's gun and van and decides to risk it all to save her sister

Troy aka manwhore, has lived in the Boundarylands for 10 years. He's become the mechanic to his brothers but the winter has him itchy. His only respite is every Friday night when the whores come to town, he's actually excited for the coming Friday.....until a female shows up looking for her sister taking out trash cans and shooting the bar in her rage. One touch reveals that she's not only an Omega but HIS.

********
Now this might not have been so bad, Faith had a pseudo backbone and Troy had more patience thsn most Alphas....except for 2 things.

Faith has been immersed in the religious rhetoric of the cult her entire life, it's ridiculous that in so little time her faith disappears and she's asking the Alpha to fuck her. With a plot like this the author's shorter book lengths actually works against her. Maybe IF there'd been a falling out, pr a prologue or something it might've rang true but I actually found myself disgusted and I am as far from a religious fanatic as possible.

Reason #2
Now every Alpha has been with the prostitutes, it's actually ok. These are Alphas living among men with no real hope of discovering their one, so the prostitutes didn't bother me SIMPLY because it WASN'T SHOVED in my face. It was a fact and we moved on, it helped that all of the previous h's had experience too.....until we get to this one
Faith has an arranged engagement to a young man from the cult, she has ABSOLUTELY NO sexual experience! None! And who does she get as an Alpha? The ONE Alpha who revels in the situation with the prostitutes. He reminds us Over and Over and OVER AGAIN how much he enjoys his Fridays, he actually makes disgusting references such as he was lucky he'd emptied his lust out with one of the working girls a couple days before meeting the h, he'd been through the prostitute roster many times over and my personal favourite is that he tells the h it was because of those women that he knows what TO do with her. His friends actually comment that at least now he has an Omega he'll save money.....listen I almost threw up. I was flabbergasted! What the fuck is this mess? An odè to Nikki's whores? Da fuck? It was shoved down my throat so many times I wanted to tear my hair out!
Disgusting!

Oh, chica.

This one was my least favorite of the series so far. I didn't like the premise of the biggest man-whore with the most pious, naive virgin. I've always hated the argument that 'you should be happy I slept with all those women, that's how I'm so good in bed'.

This one was actually quite interesting given the FMC’s religious background. I do think that she got over all of her reservations about it too quickly, since she was literally raised in a cult.

However, it was still good and didn’t have unnecessary third act drama!

I am wondering why none of these alphas have chosen to invest in solar power for their homes. Specifically Troy, like how to you fix cars without electricity? Like I feel like you need light to see for that and an electric drill or something.

I’m kind of over the series now after my binge, but I may return if the desire strikes later.

Troy

Plot: Faith has come to the Boundarylands voluntarily, something that betas generally don't do. She's searching for her sister, Hope (who mated Maddox in a previous book). She has very harsh ideas about what an omega is, and so it is a shock - not in a good way - when she turns out to be an omega (which could, but doesn't, set up an interesting storyline about genetics). Troy has an uphill battle in teaching Faith about her dynamic.

Character development: I liked this story because in general I like m/f omegaverse, but I did not connect with either main character. Faith was very judgmental, and while it was understandable coming from her church, I don't know that she had enough time to change and grow into something else. And Troy should have been a little more understanding of where she was coming from (not philosophically, I mean from her church background). I felt like there was no connection between them and they didn't take any time or put in any effort to get to know each other. It was just a "blah" kind of feeling for me. But I'll keep reading the series, and I'm sure the next installment with different characters will be better.

Would I read more from this author/in this series: Yes

2.5 stars. This was slightly disappointing. It lacked any depth of both characters. Nothing really happened. There was no real story besides alpha meets omega and boom they are together. It would have been nice to have more story and depth. Very very bland.

I like that Faith had a backbone and Troy was very understanding - a little too understanding for an alpha though IMO. This couple is by far the most un-alpha/omega-like couple of them all so far, but I liked them both. Mixed feelings I guess?

The ex-cult member + the rough around the edges alpha. The premise was that she’s come to alpha island (it’s not actually an island, but I forget the name) to save her sister, but one touch from the MMC turns her into an omega. The actual plot is him getting her to accept her omega nature. 😏 It was incredibly porny, but NGL I was riveted lol.

SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
I really enjoyed this installment. I had been looking forward to Troy's story for a while and after the cliffhanger of the last book, I was so pumped for this one! I wasn't disappointed and this book gave me everything I was looking for. I loved the love/hate relationship between Troy and Faith and watching Faith grow as a person.

What I Didn't Like- I felt that Faith turned away from her church too quickly. Don't get me wrong, I was happy that she did, I just felt like it happened too fast. I didn't think it was realistic that she went from being brought up in a cult and having those beliefs pushed into her head daily, to giving those up that quick. I would have liked to see Faith struggle a bit more with giving up her faith and choosing a new life and way of thinking.

This a 2.5 rating for me. I just really had a hard time believing that Faith would willfully go against everything she knew to "save" her sister ( who's been gone 5 yrs ). I think this story could have used a but of a Prologue to set it up.

Faith was annoying almost to a fault. Troy was your basic Alpha who worked hard/played hard. The amount of craziness he had to endure was a bit much for me. I guess it just all seemed to cookie cutter that she immediately changed her mind after talking to her sister .

It seemed for all of her "blustering" she was still a sheep the followed the flock.

Heat level for them was actually🔥🔥🔥🔥.

Loved this

I tried reviewing 5 stars on a few of the other books but kept getting error reports. I’m so glad I was able to review now.
I love how well written these books are. I really enjoy this series. It deserves way more hype and attention than its getting.
I really adored this book. Hope has been my favorite so far but her sister Faith is pretty great to read about too.

OK, so I didn't like this one. The mesh of hard core religion just didn't pair well. There was no merging of ideals, all clashing and it was uncomfortable from the get go. I almost didn't finish it. I also didn't like the strain with Maddox at the end. Can't say I cared for Faith much at all. Too shallow.

I truly appreciate many aspects of this book and its story. It beautifully illustrates the depth of a woman's love for her sister and her determination to find and save her. It also highlights the struggle of a woman raised in a cult to overcome the lies and abuse that surrounded her.

Faith travels to the Boundarylands after discovering that her sister is not dead, as her parents had deceived her into believing. Upon her arrival, she makes a loud entrance that sets her on a challenging journey. She learns that her sister is alive and happy while realizing that the cult had only fed her lies and pain. As a result, Faith must discover who she wants to be, rather than conforming to the expectations imposed on her.

Troy is the fortunate alpha who awakens Faith's omega nature. He is shot at by her, takes her to his home, and introduces her to the concept of being an omega. Although he is sometimes blunt and harsh, he also understands that Faith's behavior stems from her upbringing and the beliefs instilled in her by her parents and the cult.

Through numerous struggles, including grappling with unfamiliar feelings about her sexuality, Faith ultimately begins to evaluate her life and upbringing. This process leads her to find herself, love, and acceptance.

While it was difficult to read about Faith's upbringing—given that cults are a very real issue—the spicy scenes added a fun element to the story. I don't want to spoil the book, but I will mention that if themes related to cults or controlling religious practices are triggering for you, it may be wise to prepare yourself, as those subjects are present in the background of the narrative.

TROY WAS MY LEAST FAVOURITE ONE, BECAUSE I DIDN'T FEEL ANY AFFINITY WITH THE CHARACTERS AND THEY CERTAINLY DIDN'T PULL ME INTO THE STORY. IF IT WASN'T AN ALPHA-OMEGA STORY, I WOULD MOST LIKELY SKIP IT.

TROY is lonely. This is the reason he's been looking forward to getting balls deep in one of the Beta prostitutes who only come to Evander's on Friday's. With the long winter looming, Troy's also feeling antsy and fidgety. BUT, one night, his life changes when Faith (Hope's sister) drives up to the bar and demanded to see her sister while aiming a rifle at Troy and Zeke, managing two shots that Ty will never let her live down. Troy pretty much abducts her from there on and makes her his mate. YAWNS...that was too easy.

FAITH is brought up by a church cult...like those typical NO SEX, NO FANCY CLOTHES, and NO FUN kind of cult that raises their children to be nuns while the parents are hypocrites. Anyway, Faith always thought her sister dead but is in fact now living in the boundarylands with her Alpha. Thinking that Hope needs a rescue, she pulls up her big girls panties and goes to Evander's with a sole purpose in mind but ends up being 'abducted' by the bad Alpha instead.

OVERALL this was okay...nothing noteworthy because the characters were both MEH to me. I guess I didn't take a personal interest to them and it just dulled the fun for me. The plot was also not as exciting as being pursued by killers and definitely no adrenaline rush there.

Troy – The Boundarylands Book 5 – Callie Rhodes

Feisty Omega sister meets determined Alpha Hottie and BOOM! Game, Set, Match!!!

Faith our FMC is on a mission. Upon discovering that her sister Hope (presumed dead) is actually alive and mated to an Alpha in The Boundarylands, sets off to free her at any cost. And what a cost it will be!

Troy, young and somewhat bored with his Alpha existence of routine and repetition finds his wishful thoughts for some excitement become a little too real when he is confronted with a gun toting Faith.

Whilst disarming her, Troy and Faith touch and thus begins Faith’s transition to her true Omega nature.

In this book, we meet an Omega who has been raised by parents in a very strict fundamentalist group. Her prejudices regarding Alphas and their nature are a very steep learning curve as she realises that not all of what she has been raised to believe is true. Faith has many hurdles to overcome as she battles her own true nature in an attempt to retain her early life teachings. This makes her a less than likeable character, but the author has written her with such sensitivity that it is hard to hold a grudge against her. It does make for some very frustrating moments between our Alpha and Omega couple, but in the end, the true nature of both wins out and we see a beautiful ending to a relationship which had an extremely rocky start.

The usual warning for steamy sex scenes (this author is very good at these) making this an 18+ read. I gave it four stars.

In this 5th book of the series we find an omega who has been brought up to fear and reject all that isn't taught by them, and an alpha with the philosophy of work-hard/play-harder. Will they ever figure it out?
Faith has come to the Boundarylands in search of the sister she thought had been lost long ago, with a surprising show of backbone, she goes against the Alphas she encounters to try to get them to take her to her sister. However, Troy has other ideas. Starting to feel tired of a life filled with work and Friday nights with Nicky's girls, he wonders if these little beta is the distraction he need that day. But when his touch wakes her true omega nature, he is not willing to let her go, no matter how hard she is trying now.
Will Faith ever see Troy as anything else but the devil? Will Troy be able to teach her there is more to life than the rules and lies that have been drilled by her "church" her whole life? Will Faith find her sister, or she too late? Will they come to learn to love each other or are there some things that are insurmountable?

Troy and Faith

When Faith learns her older sister is not only alive, but an omega to an alpha in the boundarylands, she sets out to save her.
There she runs into Troy, finds her own omega nature, and is claimed, but can she overcome her upbringing to claim him back?

This fifth journey into the boundarylands omegaverse features Faith, a woman who grew up within a cult demonizing alphas and omegas.
Instead of the tangible, physical enemies of the last few books, the enemy to be overcome in this one, is actually Faith’s own beliefs and brainwashed nature. The battle is entirely her own, as she comes to realize just how mistaken she is.

This book continues directly on from book four, and actually features the sister of the heroine of the previous book. While an entirely stand alone story, it works best when read after that book, simply because it tells Hope’s story, which affects Faith’s story.

Like the other books in the series, it’s an enjoyable, sexy paranormal romance, that most familiar with alpha/omega romances will enjoy.

favorite so far

Easily my favorite story so far and again it’s one that deviated from the standard. The background we gleaned from the small prologue for faith and the hints at her past from a previous book made her a much more investing character for me.

On top of that I think Troy has been the most likeable alpha in the series. I genuinely believe he actually loves faith while all the other alphas seemed to barely tolerate the main female leads of their stories.

Troy deviated from the brutish characterization softening with more seductive but still firm alpha lines and I found this characterization much more interesting than any of the previous male leads.

Also was happy we didn’t have a big bloody fight and a tea party pregnancy reveal in this one like we have nearly every other story because it’s just become stale. Let me hear that faith is pregnant in the next book or something.

Quick read. Faith has been raised in a strict, religious cult, ahem, church, that preaches about purity. Faith travels to the Boundarylands looking for her sister Hope whom Faith thought was dead.

I haven’t read others in the series and maybe that’s why the world building is a little lacking. You have Alphas and Omegas. You’re considered to be a beta if you’re neither. An interesting twist is that omega females only come out if they’re touched by an alpha. Alphas are shunned and live together in the Boundarylands.

Naturally Faith is an omega who is awakened by Troy’s touch. No threat to the relationship outside of Faith coming to term with her new reality.

no

be careful what you wish for. this book is as different as night and day from the previous books-and yet it still fell flat. i LOVE a virgin heroine,i don't care what anyone says. what i HATE is being preached to. i didn't come to an omegaverse book to be lectured on religion. and this book was heavy on it. so much so that it ruined my reading enjoyment. was she being chased by bad men? no. did she wear his shirt? yes,but not because her clothes were ripped. was there braking? yes. this series has such potential and each book is really grating for different reasons. i'd give my eyeteeth for 1 decent book out of 14. my opinion only. feel free to read and form your own.

A fast, sexy, and easy to follow read, I enjoyed reading about Faith and how she found herself while trying to save her sister. I thought the buildup was fun and the fact that no one was trying to kill her was cool too. This series follows a thematic formula. Some other reviewers took issue with it, I enjoyed it. Although the story has the same character formulations, they are fundamentally different, and the characters drive this series. There are some hot heat fueled days and Troy has to hope that Faith makes the right decision in the end.

A good story with likable characters!

I enjoyed the fantasy world of omegas and alphas. The prejudice against people who are different fit as did the story of a sister's grief at losing their relationship fit. I liked that the alpha was patient with his omega and cared for her needs even when he could have pushed and the story could have gone differently. I wanted to see the parents show some devotion to their daughters but that really would have been a stretch and difficult to believe.

A little harder to take

This book was kind of difficult for me. Because I felt like it was hitting really hard against people of faith. While I do under some of the “dogma” involved and things people truly don’t understand unless you’ve experienced it yourself, faith is a personal experience. I had a bit of a challenge separating the story of Troy and Faith from the negativity that filled most of the pages toward faith in general. So for me personally, this definitely was not my favorite story.

I really enjoyed this one. The big bad guy in this book was Faith herself. She grew up in a cult and she's trying to save her sister. She had to work through the cult issues to be able to find out who she really is and learn to understand her nature. This one felt rushed. I believe that's because there wasn't any action in it. However, it also had a little extra because of the family dynamic with Hope. This one is drama not action. Remember that before you read it.

Faith found out her sister was alive and not dead as her parents said. She stole her parents truck and the cult leaders gun and went to find Hope. When she got to the bar in the Boundaryland she found Troy and took two shots at him asking where her sister was. Troy got hold of her and realised she was his omega. After a bad start they eventually make it to Troy’s house but after four days Faith will not claim him. The ending is different to what I expected.

If Troy could have stopped bringing up the fact he was sleeping with the working girls (girl gotta eat) for five seconds, that would have been great. Also, I don't find it flattering AT ALL that Troy tells Faith that all his times sleeping with the working girls was practice for her. NO.

Finally, genetics or not, I don't think someone whose been steeped and raised in such a strict religion all her life could simply drop it as quickly as Faith did.

Troy and Faith

Another excellent addition to The Boundarylands series. Each novel is a standalone book but all take place in the same setting. This is Troy and Faith's story. Faith is Hope's sister. Hope is Maddox's mate. Maddox and Hope were in a previous novel. Read all the amazing books in this series. Just one question, Does Denise, Kian's sister have a tale to tell?

HEA
Standalone (read series in order)

Faith is Hope's sister (from the book just before this one), meaning she's been brain washed by the same cult. Only, she didn't have 4 years in the "real" world of betas to adjust. She came straight from the cult thinking she was going to recuse her sister. She didn't count on finding her Alpha and turning into an Omega. Troy will have his hands full trying to overcome her past if he wants a future with her.

Pretty good

I enjoyed the ending! It was a bit much with her cult attitude and I felt we didn’t get much of his side other than him condemning her, yet he feels that he has never done wrong. I just wish I got a little more personality from Troy. The grammar has gotten a little better than the previous books. Can’t wait for the next one!
