This is a first rate book on the specifics of the game of bridge: it has very well written explanations of the basic rules, bidding, responding and playing out a hand; with examples and quizzes to confirm your understanding. Can I now play bridge? Hell no; but that's not the book's fault. It's a complicated, detailed game! But, this book does a very good job of getting you on solid introductory footing. Highly recommend.
