Sal had woken up with no recollection of the night before a few times but never like this … in a forest … alone … confused … scared.

She scoured her surroundings, desperate for some clue as to how she’d ended up here. Fragments of conversations, snapshots of memories were all she could scramble together.

But, suddenly, none of it mattered.

A stranger.

A warning.

And the hunt is on.

Now Sal and her friends are in a battle like no other. Death and terror lurk around every corner. Can they defy the odds and live to fight another day?

Or will they fall like so many before?

Is it all a nightmare or is it for real? One thing is for sure, it’s relentless.

I was born and raised in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Wanting to escape life in a big city and concentrate more on working to live than living to work, I moved to the Outer Hebrides in the north-west of Scotland in 2004 and I have lived there ever since with my wife and dogs.

I write post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian and horror fiction. I’ve released fifty one books across six different series - Safe Haven, The End of Everything, Unsafe, Relentless, The Burning Tree and Scares in Scotland.

HOLY GREAT BALLS OF FIRE, BATMAN!!!!!

This book was a blast!!!! From start to finish, there’s non-stop action and intensity!!
I just love a story that grabs you by the balls and does not let go!!!
Bad ass women kicking ass, YES PLEASE!!! I need more of this....keep it coming.
WOW!!!

I love survival Horror....love it! Obsessed with it, really, and so, I was browsing through the books on Amazon and came upon Christopher Artinian’s Relentless. It literally said above the title “A Survival Horror Story”. That’s all it took and I was in.

Survival Horror is supposed to be brutal!! Not only does that character have to survive the villain, they have to survive mother freakin nature! It’s BRUTAL!! And I love it!!!

This was my introduction to Christopher Artinian and damn, what an impression he made! I’m super eager to check out more of his books!

Fun and fast.

I enjoyed this book it was my first from this author. It was fun and fast paced and full out action. The storyline was good and the characters were real fighters I loved their spirit. I'm not sure how book 2 can be different but I'm willing to give it a shot.

Bloodthirsty

A great fascinating read. We've all seen films with similar storylines, but this beats them by a mile. Not only was it bloodthirsty and the little surprises the women found along the way we're of sickening and horrific substance, the story was exciting. All the way through you couldn't say what would happen next, so many encounters that kept you glued to each word. My favourite character was charlie. She was a non fearing, tattooed leader with honourable ways. Sal and Lauren made me smile on how strong a friendship they had. Something only few people truly have. So many enticing and thrilling parts and ways. Then there were the blood lingering, privileged, hateful beings that wanted nothing more than to break down them friendships and cause fear and humiliation and eventually death to all of the groups. Will any get free? You'll have to read to find out!. Definitely recommend.

Traveling Book Review:

Relentless by Christopher Artinian - 3 ⭐️

Short stories aren’t really my jam, but sometimes they are. I give everything a fair chance but this all went downhill about halfway through for me. First half was cool and fun but then dragged and then there seemed no point and then it’s just what? Idk either. Writing was simple and subpar, so don’t really recommend but hate saying it’s terrible lol because honestly I haven’t written a book. So idk it just wasn’t for me.

Different than his other books

Different than his other books but I was hooked right from the beginning and couldn’t stop reading. If you like a strong female lead character this is your book

I enjoyed this book. The concept, setting and characters were believable and so well written I could see the forest and such all in my mind. The author managed to bring depth to the characters even in this very fast paced narrative of imminent death! The violence was great, graphic and gory, I loved it.

Christopher Artinian is one of my favorite authors in the Zombie genre. When I saw that he had written a book in another genre, I knew I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed.

Sal is a young woman who was out having fun with her friends as a celebration of her upcoming wedding. When she wakes up in a forest, totally disoriented and unsure as to what has happened, she is understandably confused. She thinks that her chums are playing a trick on her as part of the celebration. However, a scream of terror soon changes her mind.

I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I won't say more about the plot. You have to experience this terrifying and action-packed story for yourself. I will say that I was hoping for a happier ending, but it is a horror story after all. The writing is wonderful, the pace is extreme, and the obvious horror of the girls' situation is palpable.

I first read this book as an ebook & thoroughly enjoyed it. When the audiobook version became available, I jumped at the chance to listen to it. The narrator, Kim Bretton, is one of my favorite narrators. Her ability to bring each character to life is amazing and you always know who is speaking, even with a three or four way dialogue. Simply amazing!

If you enjoy fast paced thrillers and great storytelling, give this book a try. You won't be disappointed! I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

Relentless (A Survival Horror Story) by Christopher Artinian and narrated by Kim Bretton is a fast-paced tale of cat and mouse that I want more of! This review is going to be minimal due to spoilers. After a night out, Sal and her friends wake up in an unknown place and are immediately thrust into a sick game of survival. It’s go, go, go from start to finish. The ending- it fits but I can see how some might not like it (for the record, I liked it). You’ll get closure for Sal and her friends, but it’s also left open for the next book (can’t wait for that to come to Audible!) Kim did a fanatic job of narrating- great character voices, great pace, and perfect for the intense situation.

I highly recommend this one and while it’s not a new concept, it’s well-written and well-narrated. I was on the edge of my seat for this one and you will be too.

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: Due to spoilers, I will only say things like death and violence. Language used: Fx161, Sx54 (I’m impressed Christopher, didn’t seem that like many)

This was a simple, quick read with good characters.
It was a bit of a mixed bag for me with several sections that were tense and well written, and others that felt somewhat amateurish. I don't mean that as an insult to the author, but more of an indication of sections that pulled me out of the story because of a writing style that seemed to change in quality. More often than not during dialogue or an overuse of metaphors that made it feel like I was being spoon fed. I did note however that these occured more often earlier in the book.
Then there were other sections that were so gloriously descriptive and gruesome that had me feeling everything.
Overall this fell short of being great and was more of a popcorn read for me.

Christopher Artinian picked the perfect word, for the title of this novel, as it described this story very well. There was non-stop action from the opening pages until the end. The central protagonist, Sal, had all the character traits that I admire. She was independent, determined, and snarky. The author's descriptive phraseology drew me into the story until I felt like I was there. I recommend this book to others, but it is not for the faint-of-heart nor for younger readers. There was some foul language utilized and the descriptive phrases had an emotional impact. Kim Bretton's narration was spectacular and by giving the characters their individual voice, she added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Minor spoilers

When Sal and her girlfriends mysteriously wake up on an island off the coast of Scotland, they must fight for survival, all while clashing with a blast of ninja hunters and vicious rats. The story starts off strong and there is a early snippet where you can mentally imagine cat-sized rodents chewing your face off.

I wanted more of this, and we get a few more bits of the festering creatures, but some of the action excerpts create stodgy storyline, and the crowded gossip and excess drama between the survivalists becomes a bit tedious.

I still enjoyed this fast-paced horror novella and would recommend.

SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!

Overall decent, got through it in about a day total. Held a fair pace of lull and action. Goup A spent a little too much time bickering and talking about personal things that weren't worth the time spent exploring them. Things picked up with group B, but ultimately the end was kind of just a spit in the face. I enjoyed the fighting and gore, it was well executed, and there were a few times where the perspective would shift from protagonist to antagonist without breaks, but the flow was perfectly done and artful, I think.
Still, after that ending I wouldn't want to sit through another.

Wow, this book was intense, right from the beginning, when the girls wake up confused in the middle of a nightmarish scenario, it gave me the chills. The suspense is steady, with plenty of plot twists and gruesome moments, as the girls try to stay ahead of the 'game', using ingenuity to 'Macgyver' some weapons! I absolutely loved this book, I couldn't put it down, although I was shocked by the ending, but I definately can't wait for the next book. Kim Bretton's narration was superb as always, and a joy to listen to.

A Different Kind of Awesome. Christopher Artinian I Loved This.

This really was one great book, different from so many others, which sometimes is what I'm looking for. This is one book I definitely will recommend to others, then ending was good, but I was kind of hoping for a bit of a different way for it to go. But then you know me, as I try to always surprise the Authors once in a while with my reviews. I very glad Book 2 is ready now, so that is what I'm reading next. Christopher you ROCK!!!!! Keep the books coming.

A quick read and full of action from beginning to end. A group of girls wake up following a hen night to find themselves separated from each other in the middle of a forest. They have no idea where they are or how they got there. They are being hunted. these girls, however, are not easy prey and decide to fight back with everything they've got. Strong female characters and great banter between all of them.

Slightly disappointed

This author is one of my favourites and I can't think of anything I've read and not enjoyed. I was slightly disappointed with this but I'm not sure if that's because I expected so much more than was delivered. This wasn't a bad read but it did feel slightly mediocre and I really did not like the end. It felt like the author suddenly got fed up and wrapped the story up quickly to get it over with. I will read the sequel and am hoping for better things.

Repetitive, overly-long, and curiously flat female empowerment fantasy with a mild horror twist. All plot and no story.

While the book delivers on the relentless title, it’s all very samey. After the first fearful moments, it becomes predictable and unengaging. There is no discernible character development, something that only gets worse when the last group of characters are introduced. Disappointingly empty.

Now that was intense, It got going from page one and the circumstances as to why everything was happening the reader learned at the same time as the characters. Very cleverly written and as I said very very intense, I didn't expect the ending although I was on the right track. I want to say more but I don't want to spoil the ride for anyone else but I strongly recommend this book, an utterly brilliant read.

UNBELIEVABLE!!

Absolutely the most chilling read to date. It was non-stop from the first page to the last and you won't believe how it ends.
No spoilers here
For thriller and horror fans DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!!
This book has it all! The writing is exceptional. Move over Stephen King you've got serious competition.

Great....

Story.... Didn't like the ending, but that's just me. I was hoping for the best for the main characters, but wasn't really told what happened!!! I suppose that book two and three will make up for it! The excitement of the book is outstanding, and very surprising!!! Really looking forward to the next book!!!!

Unexpected

I really liked this one. No infected but it was different in a good way. These gifs were fighting g to their lives. I was rooting for them. It kind of reminded me of movie (The Ascent) It had the same fighting for your life vibe. While I enjoyed the book, I'm not sure if I'll read the second part of not.

Horror is right.

Awful. Pointless. Maybe that was the point. I don't know, but I just don't care for a story where the ultimate ending for the protagonists is hopeless. The ending ruined it for me.
