Vanilla Vendetta Murder is a dish best served cold, sweet and vanilla… The last thing spy extraordinaire Charlotte Mission wanted was an early retirement in Gossip, Texas. As an ex-spy, the inn is about as exciting as runny cupcake batter. But Charlie’s got no choice. It’s hideout in her grandmother’s inn or risk discovery by the rogue spy who’s out to make her pay. Her ex-husband.
Strawberry Sin What’s worse than Gossip? How about a murder…
Spy-in-hiding, Charlotte Mission, is determined to keep her nose clean—after nearly being exposed to the man who’s hunting her, her ex-husband, she’s not interested in getting involved in another murder investigation. That is until the local librarian is slain and her ex-spy grandmother is fingered as the one whodunit. Charlie’s got to solve the mystery before grandma’s secret stash of weapons—don’t ask, don’t tell—is discovered, and they’re both carted off to federal prison. Or worse. But that’s not going to be easy, what with another agent snooping around, a literal fire to put out, and a new kitty shelter to run. She must solve the case before grandma goes to jail. Or breaks out of it.
Cocoa Conviction Chocolate and Easter go hand-in-hand. Apparently, so does murder…
Charlie Mission, spy-in-hiding, has just gotten used to the ‘normal’ life in Gossip, Texas. She’s helping her butt-kicking grandma look after the inn, baking cocoa cupcakes for the Easter festival, managing the kitten menagerie at the Kitten Foster Care Center, and avoiding her ‘babysitter,’ Agent Smulder, like he’s come to steal her

I like good mysteries but so many have profanity that I just shut them down. I like these books because you can actually enjoy reading them. I would recommend them to any one who doesn't have to have cussing to make a good story.
Charlie is a spy from a family with more than one spy. On the mostly friendly side unless you cross her is her Gran, who still kicks butt even as a cat rescuing senior.
On the less friendly side, Charlie’s ex husband went rogue. He’s hunting her, and out for revenge.
A cover has Charlie in an animal print skirt wearing and mousy persona, clearly a hard sell for her
A curious cast of friends, neighbors and a not so friendly competitor or two populate a quirky town both ladies have come to love.
As they work to keep the town, themselves and their cover identities safe, lethally humorous adventures ensue.
I more than got my money’s worth with this $0.99 trio. Charlotte,a spy, is forced undercover at her grandma’s Inn after she turned in her double agent husband. Now, the not-so-good maid spends time wondering where her ex is and tracking down local murderers in the town of Gossip with her Gamma also a retired spy. In a former museum turned Inn/kitten rescue combination, and grandma’s hidden war room in the basement, this series is not the normal cozy murder mystery. It is a hilarious new twist.
This was a fairly good series, but it could have been much better. I just couldn't warm to the protagonist. She spent way too much time either whining about being in hiding and the ugly clothes she has to wear or bragging about what an excellent spy she was. If she was really that good, you'd think she would adapt better to ugly clothes and have done much better at pretending to be a maid.
Three stories about Gossip, a charming small town. Charlie's feisty grandmother owns the Gossip Inn and Charlie is keeping a low profile there. She is hiding from her ex husband. Mysteries and murders follow her and she fears that it is her ex. who has found her. Lots of kittens as well as Cocoa puff the resident cat. Perfect for the reader who loves cats and kittens.
Engaging cozies that can be read in a day or so. Charlotte and her grandmother, Georgina, are trying to keep a low profile but murders keep messing that plan up. How to maintain hiding as a spy when murderers have other plans is the central theme n these stories.
Great summer read. This has been a great distraction during the pandemic. Cozy mysteries such as this have made the months a lot better. Really looking forward to finding the next episode.
These like most of her other books these are fun reads. Nothing really special about but if you are looking for fast fun reads these will fit the bill.
Charlie, a spy, and her grandmother, Gamma, an ex-spy, are hilarious. They have wonderful chemistry together. Both try to solve the murder of one of their guest. Charlie is determined to solve this case without blowing her cover.
