Read aloud this book in one sitting. The illustrations really caught our eye for some reason in this book - such absolutely adorable faces by Bo, the main dog character. I do really love this series and so do my kids. It’s no Sophie Mouse, but absolutely in that vein. The two barn cats fit all the cranky, snobby, mean cat stereotypes and I don’t always read all their dialogue because they are a bit ruder than I’d prefer for my little kids. Looking forward to the new release!
3.5 stars. I like this series, but its just okay. I think from here on out I'll let my daughter read it solo because I don't feel like I'd have the FOMO that I did with the critter club or sophie mouse! In this one, Bo is trying to learn to herd sheep. Again, he realizes his limitations and capabilities, as well as the sheep's. Overall, cute.
We did this as a read aloud and it was cute! Black and white illustrations and large text make for an easy chapter book read aloud. Bo is a cute puppy learning to work the farm. One of the animals is mean to him, but apologizes for it in the end after realizing he was wrong. There are also a couple uses of the word “darn” which may bother some parents.
This was another good one about the good dog! Bo continues to learn how to be a good friend and reach his goals/ fulfill his potential with some help from his farmyard friends. Very good story and illustrations!
Eleanor Age 9: Loves the animals and little puppy. He wasn't good at everything but then he wanted a sheep and his friends helped him how to learn sheep and climb rocks.
Book#3 in the series, my son and I really love Bo Davis the dog!! In this story, Bo plays hide and seek with Puffs the sheep. Puffs isn’t very good…until, Bo is supposed to herd the sheep to the barn for shearing, and he can’t find Puffs!
Bo has a sheep friend named Puffs who wants to find a game Bo isn't super good at. Meanwhile, Bo finds herding the sheep challenging. Nanny Sheep is there to help. Very nice installment to the series.
