Uncover the stories and heritage of the Celtic saints and follow in the footsteps through the unparalleled beuty of the Cornish coastline and countryside.
While staying in Marzion, Cornwall, in September 2018, my wife happened to notice a post on a Facebook Celtic Spirituality page about this book. The next day we went to a service at Mounts Bay church, along with our traveling group (Celtic Journeys). We were amazed to learn that the author was the Rector at the church, and, fortunately, he was offering the book for purchase. We bought a copy, and Rector Marns inscribed it for us.
The book is a multimedia experience of maps, texts, photographs, and illustrations, and a joy to read and ponder. It is full of interesting details about lives of the Celtic saints, the history and geography of Cornwall (as well as other Celtic nations), and the Cornish language. It is very well put together, and the maps are an experience in themselves. I was a little worried that reading it outside of the context of the actual walks on the pilgrimage might be of little value, but I was wrong, especially since the writing style and design are so artful. Now we just have to find a way to return to Cornwall from America to complete some of the 16 enumerated walks!
