A felon's daughter. A abusers victim.

That's how I have seen myself the last ten years. Not Anymore. That night was the last straw. I’m starting over but not somewhere new. I'm going back to where it all began.

How many times in your life do you get the chance to flirt with four sexy bad boys? Exactly! So when you do, you go for it!

Enter the steamy Sons of Fortune. The four oldest sons of the Saupoudrer crime syndicate. Gearing up to take over for the heads of the families in charge, they were not suspecting me to show up and throw a wrench into everything.

The daughter of former Navy Seal turned felon, Frank "Old Man" Underhill. I was struggling daily to deal with my demons. They helped me embrace them. I might slowly be going crazy, and they might be dark and twisted, but I would forever live in the chaos and shadows just to be near them.

It's never that easy, however. Not when people want to control you or kill you. Will we get our crazily ever-after, or will we be ripped apart before I can find out how wild life can be with the Saupoudrer boys?

I'm Ayida Underhill, and this is how I won my life back.

This book contains strong language, sexual situations, violence, death, and reverse harem relationship. It also mentions past physical and emotional abuse.

Reborn In Blue

Stars:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

WHY CHOOSE (RH) mafia romance.
TRIGGER WARNING- domestic abuse, torture, sexual assault.

I always get nervous when reading a new author or a debut book. I want every author to succeed and I want to love every book. Well, I didn’t have to worry about that at all with this book.

Reborn in Blue, was EASY to love. The characters were unique, the FMC was sassy and BADASS and the story was set in one of my favorite places. I love the banter between characters and the feeling of unity that you get. These guys are a family and nothing comes between family (Not even a straight from the depths of hell bird by the name of Donut).

Mafia romance is one of my favorite type of books to read. I crave the darkness of it all. With Reborn In Blue there was plenty of darkness, blood and gore but in between that darkness you get humor, love, action, suspense and a lot of hot hot sex.

By the end of the book, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next. The book ends in a way that leaves the story with endless possibilities. I can’t wait to see what MJ Knight has in store for Ayida and her boys. A fabulous start to a new series!

I think that my tastes are simply too dark to enjoy this book like I should. When I read “Mafia” my first thought is always: blood, gore, psychos.

And while this book does have a bit of blood and gore, it lacks the bit of “psycho” that I was really hoping for. The FMC is strong and snarky, and I even don’t mind her vulgar words and over-use of foul language. Her being a Dom to Holden was also refreshing as these types of stories are usually surrounded by the men being the Dom.

However, every single one of these men read more like teenage boys blushing and giggling over a crush instead of the hardened criminal Mafia men they were supposed to be.

Not even Holden had the darkness I was looking for. In fact, I think Donut the bird was the darkest character in this book. I felt like if anyone could kill someone ruthlessly, it would be him.

To be frank, I would have dropped the book half way, except that’s when Donut made his appearance and those chapters were too hilarious to pass up. Sadly, as soon as it shifted focus, I found myself skipping pages and only reading the conversations between characters just to see what was happening.

This book was way too “instalove” for me. Ayida went through years of an abusive relationship, and yet in less that two weeks (two weeks that were time skipped so we didn’t even see the build up in relationships) she suddenly decided she was in love with the boys. I understand everyone experiences trauma in a different way, but for her character, I found it didn’t make sense.

On top of that, there wasn’t really any... plot. For being a Mafia romance, it was more of just Ayida fucking around with the guys. The only time she even did work was in the first chapters. After she meets the guys, the talk of the Mafia and business just disappears for her.

I, unfortunately, wont be picking up the rest of the series. I think my expectations were too dark, and because of that, it made me unable to appreciate this book the way it was intended.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It had a witty and sarcastic kind of humour that I loved and all the characters were amazing. I loved Holder's character a lot because of him being a submissive in bed. I have read books with female Domme's and submissive men but never in a Reverse Harem so it was refreshing. I think I loved Donut the bird a lot though 😂♥️

Ayida/Blue is the daughter of a criminal boss who ran away from home and straight into the arms of a guy whom she thought she loved but he abused her. After years of abuse, she finally snapped, beat him and came back to her father. There she met the Sons of Fortune, that is, Holder, Cole, Fletcher and Clint. Now, since she fought for her freedom, she wants to enjoy it too and who better than four guys who are sex on a stick. But will it turn into love?

For me, the 'insta-love' was problematic. I couldn't understand or feel it since Ayida JUST came out of an abusive relationship after a long time. And she felt that she was in love with the guys very soon after being intimate with them.
Also waiting to see if the crazy killings caught up to Ayida's psyche and has a bad effect on her in the next book. X

*Spoiler Alert*
Dark, Bloody, sexy as hell with a touch of laughs. Oh boy Ayida is one hell of a bad*** female lead character. Traumatised and with PTSD from a violent, abusive Ex Ayida comes home. Bringing her back into the fold of her fathers business as part of the New Orleans - Saupoudier Crime Syndicate. Not something she wanted to be involved in but something she takes to way too easily. This new life also involves The Sons of Fortune - Clint, Cole, Fletcher and Holder. The sons of the leaders of the syndicate and the future leaders of it too. Omg i absolutely loved this book. Yes its violent in parts but thats mixed in with plenty of sex and laughs. Just a totally brilliant read and with that cliffhanger ending im dying for the next book

Blue is a complex character for sure. The daughter of an ex navy seal and ex felon her upbringing isn't conventional. When her mom dies she runs off with a much older man when shes still a teen , who ends up abusing her severely. After 5 years she snaps beating him badly going back home. She ends up with four heirs to the criminal organization. This book has some sick twisted stuff happen, a very snarky heroine who goes bat shit crazy at times.

This book was great! At first I did not know how much I was going to like the book, but then I started reading and was sucked down the rabbit hole called Reborn In Blue. It keeps you waiting on the edge of your seat to see what is going to happen next. It also has a great amount of romance. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series when it comes out.

I liked this story, i felt like it had a great potential but i also felt like it was hushed, like the fact that Ayida just got out of an abusive relationship and jumped into another with the guys! I liked the way they helped her with her PTSD and the way they cared about her.
Again, I feel like this could've been a REALLY GOOD story, like one of 2020 bests, if it wasn't so 'hushed'.

Reborn in Blue is the first book in the Colors of Corruption series. Ayida is our bad@$$ FMC and we learn what events have formed her tough as nails exterior to build the woman she is today. She has endured a pretty rough and abusive past and suffers from PTSD. When she is finally able to take control and get away from the situation that has been her life for the past 5 years, she turns to the only place she has ever known - home with her father.

Holder, Cole, Fletcher and Clint are the ones that Ayida gets to start this new chapter of her life with, thanks to her fathers order. They are known as the Sons of Fortune in the Saupoudrer crime syndicate. These are the men next in line to take over for the head family, along with Ayida now that she has returned home.

The dynamic between these 4, eventually 5, changes when sex and feelings start to build. Everything is going well, until it’s not. There is a threat against Ayida, one that doesn’t surprise her when made known - but there’s more to it than that. For every action, there is a reaction and Ayida is prepared to face it head on. She is stronger now than she has ever been, but will she be able to handle the situation she is forced into and the chain of events that kick off as a result?

This is an amazing, dark, sexy, bad a$$ book! I loved it! Blue and her guys are nothing short of fantastic! There is plenty of action, intrigue and sexiness in the awesome storyline, and the ending, ugh, I’m so sad. I absolutely consider this a must read. I cannot wait for book 2!

This book is fast paced with lots of sexy time in between the action. Aiyda grows into herself after being repressed from an abusive ex. The boys are fighting heart and duty. The one thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the big grammatical errors in the dialogue. This was used to have the characters using a southern accent since the story is set in Louisiana, but wasn’t present when the characters were narrating their chapters so it didn’t come off as authentic to me.

Reborn in blue was a great start to a series. MJ knight wrote a dark romance RH mafia story that just sucked you in. I love all the MC’s Ayida, Holder,Clint, Cole, and Fletcher. There was some dark twisted things that happened, and the love and sweet things. I laughed and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

WOW If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This book knocked me on my ass. It’s gritty and hard hitting and sexy as f&ck. But it’s also sweet and funny and romantic in a dark kind of way. I love the FMC and her struggles and victories are inspiring even in a mafia setting. The men are wonderful and broken and perfect for her. Her dad is awesome and I know he’ll be a big part of what happens in the next book. I just can’t wait to read the next one. Cliffhanger- beware.

Trigger warning- this book has themes of domestic violence, ptsd, and violent themes.

Man this one brought the steam. An adult dark reverse harem that did not make me cringe throughout. Ayida flees her abusive relationship to return home to her mafia supporting father. She quickly rejoins the money laundering business and the boys start training her to take her fathers place in the organization. Sexy flirting ensues with all of the guys and they start a no strings foursome only missing Holder. They help her cope with the PTSD from the abuse and then all fall for her. Holder was definitely my favorite of the bunch and I was so happy when he entered the fold after all the holding back. That car scene With Ayida and Holder whew just so hot. Its rare that you get to see a submissive male in a RH but I loved it.

What an amazing book. I can't tell you how many times I looked like a mad woman laughing at my phone while reading this book, the split scene in the beginning, and the donut scene... Damn girl that was hilarious 😂 I know you're a new author but the plot was awesome, the characters, everything was spot on. The guys all look badass but they're just a bunch of softies for blue, and that girl? What a badass chick, I want to be like her when I grow up 😉
Thank you so much for this beauty, can't wait to read what you bring next 💗

This book started out strong, then took a nosedive off a cliff. The story is lacking. The main character went from being a strong, badass bitch, to a sex obsessed fiend. The other characters aren't believable either. Their original descriptions, personalities disappear as soon as sex is on the table - 3 strong tough men basically dropped everything in their lives for sex, leaving 1 holdout, and for all I know, he changes too because I can't bring myself to finish this book.
Read if all you're interested in is smut. Stay away if you like a story with string characters.

I received an ARC copy of this book and it was awesome.

I have to say I loved the men way more than Blue.

Blue returns home after escaping an abusive relationship. She gets her life back together and her dad start teaching her about the family and how it works. She gets trained and starts meeting the boys. Holder, Clint, Cole, and Fletcher. She hits it off with all of them off the bat except Holder. Starting a relationship with the three, the abusive ex shows up and tried to hurt her, but she kills him! Leaving the warehouse where it happened after she finally gets together with Holder! They are hit with by another vehicle and Blue is kidnapped. A slimy thug runner and another boss ransom her for money, drugs, and weapons. The boys and her dad show up and exchange is made. The slimy thug tries to shoot her and her dad protects her, getting hurt, says goodbye, and Tells her some last words. Her mother was murdered. The boys kills everyone in a fire fight and she kills the thug and so called boss.

After the funeral, she is taken to meet the family heads and decides to take her father’s place. The end! *Spoilers*

The book was great and had me hooked from the beginning!

There wasn't a lot of character or plot development, and what there was felt a bit immature and cliche. It was also really hard at time to know who was talking or doing what. Details and events were kind of just thrown at us, never really written in a way where I could get into the story. For each character we were kind of just told a few shallow facts about them and then *bam* on to the sex we go. The main "unique factor" was that one of the men was on the submissive side of the spectrum but even that didn't really work for me as we went for 0 to 1000. From platonic to full domme-sub type play and it just didn't really read as natural, healthy, or realistic in any way to me. Felt more like a box being ticked. Then literally at 94% done the author decided to throw a death in there with a plot twist, it was sad but also more so frustrating because it again just felt like another box being ticked and wasn't really neccesary. The whole 2nd(?) climax felt random and uneeded, it's only purpose to fulfill the "dark" part of the title real quick before the ending. Then the final "plot twist" at the end of the epilogue only served to make me roll my eyes. I was so excited about this book from parts being paraphrased on tik-tok but it's safe to say I won't be continuing the series

A gray Mafia story.

I didn't expect this book to be more of a light dark green then a dark read. I guess when you look at the the cover of the book and the title you would think differently. You have the main female character blue who escaped me abusive relationship she beat her ex almost to death. She then came home to her dad old man and he is one of the heads in the mafia. He teaches her a lot in the few months she's there and she be friends the sons of the other heads. The lightness on the story through me off because it's Mafia but the story really flows together and she attacks on all four of the men and pretty much nothing that happened or spicy and hot but there's really no darkness in this. I was thinking more killing, torture, blood. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of that but not written in a way a dark story is written. This book is light and carefree to a point.
It's a new twist on Mafia stories.

Aiyda, aka Blue, is a kickass heroine! She has lost and been through so much in her life, but she only let it make her stronger and more determined not to let it happen again. The Sons of Fortune have met their match in their Blue Demon. They have a lot of pressure from their parents to be the best so they can one day take over the crime syndicate. But when trouble comes looking for Blue, they have choices to make...stand with her, or let her go. She has choices to make...fight for her life, or let it go.
I truly enjoyed the multiple aspects of personalities of the men in this RH story. I loved how Blue learned to trust herself and others. I will say the ending got me! I nearly cried, but I was happy with the overall outcome. I am ready for book 2!

I liked the concept and the characters but it’s definitely way too short to accomplish everything in a satisfying way. I don’t usually mind instalove but since the MC came out of a long term abusive relationship it felt really unbelievable that she didn’t have any lingering hang ups and immediately jumped into a relationship with 3-4 guys. And mastered self defence after a few weeks - timing is unclear and it was mentioned later on that the guys were helping to train her but I would’ve liked to have seen some of that to both show their developing bond and her growth as a character.

I’ll definitely check out other works by this author but this just didn’t do it for me.

Ayida and the Sons of Fortune
This book is Hot Hot Hot! I have been on a kick lately with reading short but hot and spicy books and this book hit the spot for sure. It has just the right amount of spice and plot to keep you wanting more. Ayida is a complete and total baddy and I am here for her energy. I like all her boys but Holder is my favorite. Those two just complete each other so well. She doesn't judge them and they dont judge her while also helping each other to cope with their traumas. Such a good book.
