Giving it 2 star because the story is not bad but translation is so bad, seems like the translator has used google translator for translating rather than their skills.
I don't like the Chinese names and pronouns used in this book. I started reading this on Facebook and it was all English. I really enjoyed it but I had to pay for it. I would like to read more but not in Chinese. It is very confusing.
The story line of this book is really great. Unfortunately, the editing was terrible. Not sure if some of the pronouns were lost or confused in translation or what but it was very disturbing and hard to keep up with the references person. One moment Jian Ran would be referred to as a "she" then the next time or in the same sentence Jian Ran would be a "he". It made my heart smile for Jian Ran to meet someone like Qin Yue even if it was arranged. It is great that the author is able to capture both Boss Qin as well as the new husband Qin who actually begins to fall slowly in love with his wife. I like that he has her back no matter what or no matter who has wronged her. I was very astonished to find part 1 ended so abruptly. Can't wait to start part 2! I sure hope the author finds an editor to clean up the mistakes (the mistakes are very distracting and takes away your focus of the details).
I started reading this novel a few years ago, but I still haven't finished it, I stopped somewhere at chapter 400+ because the story is so long. The story is until chapter 1000 but I'm gonna say I already read it cause I don't think I'll be continuing this anytime soon, but I definitely wanna finish reading this, though I may have to start from the beginning cause I need to refresh my memory of the events.
The translation needs work, there are times where I'll get confused who is being talked about, and the pronouns get mixed up, it didn't help that the story was in 3rd person but I just pushed through and read between the lines so I managed to tell in the end what the narration and dialogues are saying. The story has potential and entertaining for me, I love the romance between Jian Ran and Qin Yue. Qin Yue is such a green flag and I love him.
I was introduced to this story on a Facebook ad and was intrigued. I was excited to find it here. The storyline was fun and really hard to put down. It is a Chinese story that has been translated into English. I wish that they would have spent the money and time to have the grammar checked properly with an English copy editor. The inconsistency of masculine and feminine pronouns is very frustrating. Looking forward to book #2.
There are so many grammatical mistakes, the book has been transliterated to English, hence the sentence doesn't make sense in most places. But the story seems nice. Not purchasing other parts as the author will keep on dragging the story as it is done in this volume.
The story is OK though it ends abruptly. Additionally, the novel is a translation from Chinese to English which is done without a proof read. It doesn't make any sense.
The story line has potential to be a great story. It’s just painful to read. The grammar is horrible. The use of he, she, him and her is all wrong. Most has to be read more than once to figure out what it should say.
I don't know if this book wS translated or judt that aweful. The constant back and forth of the "he" "she" pronouns for the same named person was infuriating. I never new if the characters were men or women.
