Come celebrate Easter with Corduroy in his new holiday board book!
Corduroy is ready to celebrate Easter. Join him as he enjoys the springtime weather, decorates Easter eggs, and prepares for the arrival of the Easter Bunny.
Don Freeman was a painter, printmaker, cartoonist, children's book author, and illustrator. He was born in San Diego, California, attended high school in Missouri, and later moved to New York City where he studied etching with John Sloan. Frequent subjects included Broadway theatre, politics, and the circus. He was also a jazz musician, and the brother of circus entrepreneur Randy Freeman.
In this gentle, colorful story, the beloved teddy bear shops for sweets, colors eggs, and shares an Easter picnic with his pals.
Humane-minded families will appreciate that when Corduroy visits a farm to collect some eggs, he meets some baby animals--but he does not bring home any. Thankfully, the live-animals-as-Easter-gifts trend seems to be waning.
This is a simple and cute little cardboard copy of Corduroy celebrating Easter. It talks about dying eggs, showing off Easter baskets, jelly beans and chocolate, and egg hunt, and a picnic with friends. This is a great non-religious book to read about Easter.
This is a simple but not 'basic' board book for young readers (or in my case a 3 year old listener) My granddaughter loved looking at the illustrations in this book where Corduroy gets ready for Easter and is always thoughtful of his friends.
