“There are two kinds of people in this word; people who take and people who get taken from. I don’t intend to be the latter anymore.” –Law CallowayThey say friends make the worst enemies, but what about family? The Calloway family secret was supposed to be taken to the grave. Now that Raquel knows the two feuding families are intertwined in more ways than one, and the man she loves is presumed dead, she has to figure out her next move. Whatever she decides, she has to be careful. After all, she’s carrying around his family’s biggest secret, along with what happened to Nashiya. Will Raquel succumb to the fast and dangerous life of the man she loves as part of her vengeance against Dallas, or, will Derrick, the one skeleton from her past, spill the secret that unravels everything?Everyone thinks that dead men tell no tales, but that is a deadly mistake. Now that the people Law loves and those who hate him the most think he’s out of the picture for good, he can make his moves in silence as he continues to lay out his plan on the path to ultimate respect. He plans to leave no stone unturned when it comes to getting Detective Mason and the Price family off his back for good, because this time around, he’s playing for keeps. In the blink of an eye, Blaze finds himself faced with new responsibilities, and the weight of the world is on his shoulders now that he thinks he’s the only Calloway man left to redeem his family’s name. With a baby on the way and a new relationship blooming with Nevaeh, he has to be more mindful of the moves he makes. Thinking with his mind and not with his gun for the first time may be one of the hardest things he’s ever had to do.Even with Nashiya gone, Dallas still held up his end of their final bargain by giving Law a wedding gift he’d never forget. What he doesn’t know is he may be playing right into Law’s hand. Dallas has his own ulterior motives in this cat and mouse game, and wants proof of the information Raquel revealed to him to save her life. Because now he knows the Price’s and Calloway’s were more than just enemies, they were family. In the finale of this ride or die love story, everyone is seeking their own revenge by any means necessary. As secrets come pouring out like rain, will love conquer all, even when it’s foundation is shaky? For both families, it’s not the beginning of the story that concerns them, it’s not knowing how it will all end.
I swear I loved this series! Through the many obstacles thrown their way, Law and Raquel seemed to weather them all. Dominique held a grudge that should've been let go of a long time ago. He played everyone because his stupidity wouldn't allow him to forgive and accept the fact his mistakes led to him not having the one he wanted. Dallas and Darius were trying to do whatever their father asked not knowing how deep the situation was. Dallas did pull a bitch move at the funeral and it was only a matter of time he'd find himself in the same situation. Blaze was still a hot head and Camille told him some things that he was long overdue to hear. His reaction once learning the secret that got them in the predicament had me thinking he truly was unstable. The situation with Nevaeh was crazy because you never know what one is going through when they can't accept the fact things are done. Raquel stepped up in a major way and had to learn a lot while dealing with Law. I loved how a break helped them to realize what it would take to fix their problems if they planned to be together. Once all the turmoil came to an end some happiness came about and in the arms of a savage is where Raquel found her happiness.
Blaze and Naveah just didn't have that chemistry. I didn't see their relationship or lack their of going anywhere. He needed time to grow. Raquel was nerve wrecking this whole series. Law I loved him throughout it all. Let's see what's up with Blaze and Camille. Kind of felt dragged out I skipped some parts.
I enjoyed this book and series. There was so much drama. I feel like the parents held on to a secret that should have been exposed years ago. Why would Dominique hold on to hate for Mrs. Calloway for so long when he treated her badly. Raquel worked my nerves because she was so self righteous. She had ever excuse for the dirt and killing she did and keep her secrets but disrespected Mrs. Calloway because she melted her own secrets. She had a choice is killing Derrick. I hate Naveah lost her life and didn't have the opportunity to see baby Aramani grow up. I guess Camille and Blaze will have their own story. Law was pretty cool, Shiyah was crazy for no reason. I hate they never knew she was behind Wolfe's death.
Very well written and so entertaining and I loved it. It picked up right where the last one left off with more action, lies, secrets and the suspense was everywhere. Loved the storyline, plot and the flow was awesome like no other. The characters and this family had me from the first book and I still can't get enough of them. This whole series has been great and so hate to see it end. So glad that love overcame it all for Raquel and Law. Prefect ending to a great series. Amazing job KL Hall and can't wait to see what next from you. Highly recommend this series.
i must say i really enjoyed reading this series. from start to finish i was all in. Raquel and Law’s story started off crazy, but ended wonderful. throughout everything that happened they managed to find their way back to each other. the. there’s Blaze. i was hoping he would get it together for “Heaven”. it just sucks that it was snatched away from him, but everything happens for a reason right? their mom’s secret was the last thing i expected it to be. i’m just glad that everyone was handled and Raquel and Law were able to finally have their dream wedding.
This was my first time reading this author and It will most definitely will not be my last time..These series was mine blowing from part 1 til the end of part 3...Law and blaze was really true savage dudes I really felt bad in the beginning for Raquel I thought she was gonna be gone but when law started getting to know her I knew that was true love that they both was missing..Blaze was a wild dude its sad it took for nevaeh to pass for him to get his grown man on..I love the ending...Great read!!!
Oh wow.....what can I say.....I fell in love with this book from page one......Law was nothing but the truth....I loved his swag attitude and straight forward get it done manner....he calculated planned and executed his plan like a boss....I like how there was no back & forth with shiya and Raquel....Blaze turned out to be a stand up guy too.....however I kinda figured Heaven as he called her, wasn't gonna make it....also so glad their mother got to live to see her grandchildren......
This book deserved a five star because K.L. Hall did an awesome job this book was great from beginning to end it flowed from page to page I'm so glad that Law and Raquel was finally able to get their happy ever after also Blaze finally grew up I would love to read Blaze story of him and Camille great job and keep up the great work looking forward to your next book.
I gave this book a 5 star because i loved everything abiut this series. Im so sad this had to end id love more of them their relationship was beautiful and im happy wveryone that died did and didnt stop them from getting their happy ever after. I would love to read about blaze and camille that would be dope and i was sad about naveahs death well done kl hall another show stopper i lobe all ur books cant wait to see what next.
This whole series was sooo good! The Calloway and Price family feud was deadly and its a shame that the kids was killing each other over their parents beefs. I’m glad Law and Raquel ended up telling each other everything and they were able to get their happily ever after. It’s a shame when Blaze finally tried to get it together he had to suffer the lost he dealt with. Maybe him and Camille can make something happen. Loved this series!
This series was filled with drama and unexpected twists. The obsession these families had with each was ridiculous and I was glad it finally. The book shows that some secrets should not be kept. One twist that I did not expect was Niveah or Heaven. I really expected her to be on some snake "Ish" but not so. The author put a twist on the ending of this book and brought Camille back. I liked her for Aston. This was a good series overall.
Love it from the beginning to the end. I couldn’t put my tablet down till I read all three parts. This series’s had me crying, laughing and snapping at the same time. Fingers crossed you do a spin off with Camille and Blaze. Also, I would like to know what happen to the other friend that Camille had a Fallin out with. I would recommend this series to my group of friends.
Great series...Secrets, lies and unnecessary deaths. Mama knew that secret was going to create Chaos. Classic children paying for their parents mistakes..Raquel got on my nerves most of the time...but she always tried to do the right thing, glad she her happy ending w/Law. Was glad to see Blaze mature and grow into his own. Law was an upstanding man from beginning to end.
I have loved this series from beginning to end.Youtook me on a ride and gave me it all.Love, deception, murder boss niggas and you turned a good girl into a ride or die for a boss and Law got his wife and Justice. You should do a spin off where blaze and carmilla get together
Let me just say I enjoyed this series from beginning to end. Absolutely nothing about this story was predictable. I went through all the emotions of cursing yo ass about these characters to crying with them. GREAT job on this banging ass series & I def would recommend it
Well written entertaining action PACJED...I fell in love with this STORYLINE ,characters and the family dysfunction yes this series was off The chain OUT FREAKING STANDING
This is the first series I read by KL HALL and I loved it from the very first book. Safe to say I will be reading more of her work. This book was full of drama and love perfect mixture!
I was NOT disappointed! Law made some power moves as usual. Blaze was still off the hook, & his actions or lack of may cost them. Raquel & Camille seen the true definition of besties! This book was a page turner!
I would recommend everyone who loves urban stories to read this series. Never a dull moment and action filled. I love Law and Raquel's story. I think Blaze's story is just beginning with Camille.
I'm mad there mother should have told them the truth and maybe they wouldn't even be where they where at hating each other. But law was the man her didn't play bout his family. Like the series
Great ending for a great series! I wish they would've found out what really happened to their brother! Sorry about Angeles mom! I felt like she was dirty and just had not showed it yet! Great job I can't wait to see what's next from you!
This was a great series. I'm kinda glad that the main characters didn't get a lot of bad things happening to them. Wish I could've learned more about if Camille and Blaze had a relationship
This was one great series, from book 1 to book 3 , this series just got better and. The story line just flowed and held my attention through each book. I loved the brothers relationship.I also loved Law and Raquel relationship, Law was bae.
Raquel was actually Bonnie to Law's Clyde. They overcame the craziness of the family secret and still became husband and wife. I felt so bad for Blaze to see what happened to his baby momma. I can't wait to see what Blaze and Camille and up.
This series was one of my favorites the characters was so funny at time snd crazy the next but one I know is Law was giving Racquel up for nothing or nobody. No matter what he said he was on her ass lol
This one was better. I really wanted Blaze and Heaven to work. The mom’s secret did not make sense. She should have told them. I also wanted Law to find out Shiyah put the hit on Wolfe.
