The more that stands between us, the more I want her.

Love isn't something I'm capable of feeling, but if a marriage is what it takes to become my father’s successor and save my family’s fortune from ruin, then it'll have to be arranged.

However, I have a reputation and for good reason. I can’t be tamed. My despicable bride-to-be couldn’t care less about it. This is all for show. It’s a marriage of convenience for her. I just need to play it safe until the wedding is over.

But then she shows up. The cute pianist, hired to play at my engagement party. Shy, innocent and virtuoso - off limits and impossible for me to claim. She’s a sweet risk and a challenge like no other. Her weak attempts at fending me off only fuel my greedy hunger.

She’ll be mine. Even if that means putting everything I’ve worked for on the line.

Brilliant. Emotionally explosive. Intoxicatingly beautiful. Heartwarming. Heartwrenching. Sweet. Strong. This story is all of these things…and so much more.

Elodie has worked herself to the bone to hone her musical talent, working multiple jobs and earning scholarships to attend Juilliard, and when she lands a potentially career-lifting gig to play piano at a wealthy family’s engagement party, the reader is tasked with deciding what and how to feel: euphoria that she’s getting her chance to showcase her talent among people who may be able to launch her career, or cringing at the demeaning class critiquing she’s subjected to by the bride-to-be, Gloria, and Kingston’s father.

Oh, and then there’s Kingston… Are first impressions right? Is he the *sshole billionaire and man-whore we initially think he is?

This story is well-written, flows seamlessly and steadily, and is masterfully crafted, delivering so much more than you expect ahead of time, and author Linnea May skillfully designs and nurtures the development of her characters throughout the story. And the twists and turns are magnificently orchestrated, not necessarily the ones you might expect, which makes TAMED even better.

So, back to Kingston. Simply put, the final impression is what truly matters in this fairytale romance, and the epilogue will leave you weak in the knees, breathless and in tears.

Yuck!!! DNF @ 57%. This was a NA book. MCs were immature and quite shallow and the Hero was exceptionally egotistical and cavalier. Both MCs didn't respect boundaries and had very poor ethics. And I didn't buy the heroine's "poor pitiful me" act - she was just as selfish as the Hero. I would not expect these two to be monogamous for each other.

This is one adventure you don't want to miss. The writing and flow of this book is done above and beyond. I absolutely recommend this book.

Hero is engaged to OW but actively pursued heroine.

Her weak attempts at fending me off, combined with those pleading eyes, it's making it impossible for me to resist.

Not to mention he sounds like a sexual predator!

She is the most forbidden fruit ever to tease me. I want her, and I always get what I want.

He was an arrogant, obnoxious douchebag!

I don't ask for permission - I never do - but she's giving it to me anyway. There's no protest. She doesn't try to fight or stop me when I lean even closer.

Elodie is a pianist who gets hired to play at this high society wedding for ... yup, the Zero and his fiance. He is a spoiled, rich, player who is only marrying OW because it's expected of him. But that doesn't stop him from seducing this girl, just because he can.

This was a slow burn because Zero has to convince Elodie to give in to their forbidden desire. She eventually caves and does willing become the other woman. There's plenty of awkward scenes including Zero's mother warning off the heroine, and the heroine playing at their engagement party.

There wasn't anytime redeemable about either character. Zero was an ass and the heroine was another spineless woman who throws her morals away for a good lay. Boo!

I really enjoyed this story! Elodie and Kingston were great characters. Elodie is on the shy side and Kingston is the alpha dominant male. Both are immediately drawn to the other and Kingston has no problem pursuing Elodie, even though he is engaged. It is not a love match on either side and so he feels no guilt. Elodie is a good girl and so has problems with the knowledge that Kingston is engaged. Kingston doesn't let that stop him and continues to pursue Elodie and lets her know that it's not a love match. I liked the way that things unfolded. I was drawn in to both characters and the story itself. The sex is explicit and is a a little kinky. Nothing too major or really BDSM. The story flowed really well and I thought had great pacing. It kept me engaged the entire time and I wanted to know how things were going to work out between Elodie and Kingston.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked Elodie pretty well. It took some time for me to warm up to Kingston, and I have a lot of issues with the fact that he was engaged when he met Elodie. I know he didn't love his fiance, but it still boarders on cheating because he WAS engaged, and that just bothers me. It took some of the fun out of the book, and made it a bit harder for me to like him as a couple with Elodie. All in all, not a bad book. But I would have liked it a lot better had he NOT been engaged to another woman. I was gifted a copy.

There were three things I loved about this book before I even started reading it. The first is the cover. It is so sexy and really grabbed my attention. Second is the title. Tamed. So it sounds like someone is in need of being tamed, which gives me the thought of wildness. Then, I loved their names: Kingston and Elodie. They are unusual. After beginning to read the book, I was hooked. I loved the story. It is steamy hot, while at the same time being sweet. The music also really added something to the story. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy, and I highly recommend it.

Sigh. That is what my heart did at the end of this beautifully written book. My heart was just bursting with happiness at the end. Elodie and Kingston's story is about finding that love does exist even though you think it doesn't. Every one wants to find the one that 'Tamed' their heart and soul.

Favorite Quote: Kingston to Elodie
"You never tried to tame me,....And yet, you did"

We all love a bad boy don't we, we think we can change them but really until they meet the elusive 'one' that's not gonna happen.
Kingston is a playboy who has to get married to save his family company, does he love her? absolutely not it's actually debatable if he even likes her.
Elodie is the young musician hired to play at the wedding. What could go wrong. ?
This is a good quick read.

Tamed by you

Kingston's and Elodie's story is so hot, that I was really scared that my e-reader would catch fire ...
Both characters are more than comprehensible on every level. Since they come from very different milieus, literally worlds collide when they meet and get to know each other.
Ms. May knows how to excellently work out differences and similarities and to awaken the protagonists to a thriving life.

I was captivated from the very first page and had to read the book in one go.
An absolute reading recommendation! Truly entertainingly written with great feelings and a great deal of hot passion.

Poor poverty stricken girl who attends Juilliard takes on a job to play her magical music for a rich billionaire who’s getting married but not for love. The H sees her and he wants her so he had her even though it may destroy her reputation and future…They hook up and she changed him with her magical piano hands and p*ssy… throw in some guy who was butt hurt over her and the fiancée who might as well didn’t exist with obnoxious parents and that’s this book 🙄… boring AF to the point it’s not memorable

I honestly regret spending 1.06 on this book.

There's a bunch of typos. The story is insanely fast. The attempt at drama is weak, and the story as a whole just fell flat.

This book had so much potential, too. Also, this isn't BDSM. Idk why it's being marketed as such, so if you're looking for that, it's not really here. We have one scene where she is tied up. And she's not even actually unable to escape.

All in all, 1.5 stars.

Elodie and Kingston come from different backgrounds and circumstances. Elodie is a student pianist at Juilliard and is hired by Kingston's mother to play at Kingston's engagement party to Gloria. From first glance there was a spark between the 2. I love how independent Elodie is and how she stands up to Kingston but at the same time submits to his Alpha tendencies. I would like to say their differences is what makes they relationship so beautifu

Elodie has worked hard and faught to get where she is; at Julliard studying Piano. Her mother abandoned her, her father fell into the bottle and she’s virtually been on her own since junior high. She has goals, she has a plan and she works hard to make her dreams become reality.

Kingston has never had to work for much in his life. He moves from woman to woman, 3 nights at a time (never more) and enjoys his life of excess. His parents are old money wealthy and kept hoping he would settle down, but he’s not interested. At. All. So, in order to prove that he’s “mature” enough to run his father’s empire, his family arranges a marriage to another wild child socialite, who also has no interest in growing up. The two of them are set to be married, even though they can barely stand to be in the same room as one another.

Elodie is hired to play at Kingston’s engagement party and in the weeks before the event, she meets with the bride and groom and their parents to settle the arrangement. Kingston is immediately drawn to the shy, bookish beauty. Her frayed dress and second hand shoes draw snarky comments from his entourage, but he sees past that and is mesmerized by her passion.

He knows he wants to have a chance with her, at least for a 3 night distraction from the wedding planning, but she doesn’t know that this engagement is nothing more than a business merger and she’s no homewrecker, so she declines. Kingston however, is very clever and resourceful and comes up with ways for them to cross paths over the coming weeks. She is baffled by his attention and certain that she is not good enough for him, but their strong attraction overrules her brain and she submits.

What follows is an extremely sexy, passionate hidden romance, where Elodie reluctantly discovers that she is worth loving and Kingston admits that real love might exist after all. He can’t imagine letting her go now that they’ve been together. Will his powerful parents allow the engagement to be broken? How will Kingston’s family ever accept a poor musician into their family? Will Elodie finally see that she isn’t worthless? Is it even possible for someone like Kingston to be Tamed

Very, very sexy forbidden romance with a happy ending that will have you swooning.

Told in dual POV. Standalone. No cliffhanger.

3.5 Stars

When Kingston Abrams is given the ultimatum to marry and settle down t take over as CEO from his father, a deal is brokered to marry well to do family friend – Gloria, one self centred utter bitch. Kingston pretty much can’t stand her, but a sham marriage will give the job he has worked towards. What he didn’t envision was his instant feelings towards the pianist who is hired to cover their engagement and wedding.

Struggling student at Julliard, Elodie Hill cannot believe her luck when she is offered the job of pianist for a well to do family. The pay is huge but getting herself out there is a perfect start for her career. On their 1st meeting, Elodie struggles with the taboo attraction to the groom to be, but the evil bride to be puts her in her place very quickly. Knowing she is nowhere near their league, she keep’s her head held high.

Knowing crossing the line and following Elodie and urges to take her like his other women is dangerous, although there is no love in their relationship, Gloria will not let him ruin this for another quick screw... What Gloria doesn’t see are the true feelings that show up. This unknowing feeling is bizarre to Kingston, women are a 3 time deal, but Elodie changes that perception. All of a sudden, the choice to marry someone he despises while letting his real love get away is a no go. Kingston will put everything on the line for Elodie.

Will this shy, quiet pianist who is magical change the play boy, rich kid into CEO and self respected business man, and will Kingston be able to show everyone, and especially his father that a loveless marriage can’t fix or make the man. Kingston will put everything on the line, to win his one and only.

My honest ARC review for TAMED
Solid 3.75 stars!

When I read a book EVERYTHING matters to me, especially the cover as it sets the tone, the names of the characters which again gives me insight to the characters we’re about to meet. I LOVED the names Kingston and Elodie, it personified the world in which the author placed them in. There were minor punctuation mistakes but insignificant to take away any focus from the story (I’m a bit a grammar Nazi). The cover was just okay for me but it is relatable and eye catching.
I was a bit confused as I was nearing the end as it seemed like it was going to continue in another book (series) but it does end here which kind of disappoints me as I felt the author could of explored the option of the story line of Kingston saving and expanding his father’s company and where Elodie fitted in in his world and how Elodie went with her career and how she handled the snobs etc. Don’t get me wrong the book does end and finishes the story in a way that doesn’t agitate you to annoyance of unresolved happenings.
This is my first time reading Linnea May’s work and I must say she writes well and I WILL read more of her stories. It was a fresh take (for me) with Elodie being a student at Julliard and I liked her a lot. It was also refreshing that she wasn’t whiny or immature or had annoying inner monologues. With Kingston at times we can see the inner bastard but he really isn’t portrayed overly so, I felt these two and their chemistry and wished for more ;)

A SEXY AND REFRESHING READ!!

Tamed was an unexpectedly refreshing book to read!! The characters were very likable, and I found their engaging journey captivating to the very end!

The hero, Kingston, is smoking hot, and he knows it! His motto is "Three times, that's it". He likes to keep his affairs shorter than short, and is just fine living the life of a bachelor. Kingston wants nothing more than to take over the reigns of the family company...and remain single while doing it. Kingston has a childhood acquaintance named Gloria whose family also wants her to settle down. Though they barely tolerate each other, they agree to marry to pacify their parents.

Our heroine, Elodie, is a senior at Juilliard who aspires to be a solo pianist. Kingston's mother, an alumna of Juilliard, hires Elodie to play at her son's engagement party. Kingston and Elodie are attracted to each other. Though she continually fights her feelings, she finds it hard to ignore the intense chemistry that draws her to the dynamic Kingston Abrams.

Read Tamed to find out exactly what happens in this captivating story! Tamed is SEXY read that will melt your heart and have you swooning!! I cannot wait to read more from Linnea May!!

Dual POV, HEA guaranteed!!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. With that being said, I always give an honest review (good or bad) :)

Simply loved this story, it is beautiful, erotic and I could not put it down. This is my second story by this author, I have read Silent Daughter that she co-wrote and again I have another fantastic story with lots of emotion, passion and tingle in your tummy sex scenes.

You can connect easily to the two main characters as we get both POV and I loved the interaction between Kingston and Elodie. She definitely Tamed Kingston as she simply wanted nothing from him, she was pure and hard working and you can easily see why cynical Kingston fell for her.

One of my favourite characters was Kingston's mother Mrs Abrams, she definitely influenced key points in their love story. I actually loved how she took Elodie under her wing like a mother would a daughter.

The erotic sex scenes are really well written and highly enjoyable.

One character that was weird for me was her ex "friend with benefits" Benjamin as I thought he would cause more damage as it was implied but in the end he was pretty insignificant to the overall story.

Favourite part for me was the Engagement party and I loved how this did not get overly ugly between Kingston and Gloria. The Epilogue ties up all the loose ends is a beautifully romantic way and I do wonder if we will have a story on his brother and perhaps see more of where Kingston and Elodie?

Received an ARC copy for an honest review...
This is the first time I've read anything by Linnea May and it certainly will not be my last.

I absoutely fell in love with this book because it was well written and kept me wanting more. Alot of time books will start out strong before going bland in the middle. This is not the case with Tamed. Once I started reading the book I couldn't stop. Her writing is very imaginative it felt as if I was there throughout the book.

To sum it up the book is about two people who are from two different parts of society that fall in love. Kingston Abrams is a very rich and powerful playboy who is set to marry someone who he could care less for. He meets Elodie Hill who is supposed to play the piano at his engagement party. Both end up with feelings towards each other. The question is, will Kingston do what his father wants and marry for business or will he follow his heart?
BTW, I love the namesleeve of the characters!

My absolute favorite part in the book is right before and after the steamy sex scene while she's playing the piano. Hot damn!

I would absoutely recommend this book especially if you like a strong, dominate alpha. *swoon!*

I will never look at a piano the same.

Kingston is a rich playboy who needs to get married to be able to gain control over the family business. Since he doesn't believe in love or relationships, he agrees to marry the daughter of friends of his family. He doesn't believe that his upcoming marriage should change his playtime. Then he meets Elodie who is hired to play for his engagement party.. He is instantly drawn to her and wants her to be his next conquest.
Elodie is studying to get her master's at Juilliard. She is very poor and works hard to graduate. Her mother abandoned her and her father is constantly drunk so she has to pay her own way. When she is offered the job of playing for the engagement party, she is thrill because it is well-paying and gives her exposure to others who might pay for her music. She never expected the groom to be so gorgeous and to hit on her. She is afraid to lose her job so she turns Kingston down.
Kingston is strongly drawn to Elodie and refuses to take no for an answer. For the first time he has to work to get a woman into his bed. Will Elodie cause other changes too?
This is a good story and I really enjoyed watching Kingston develop as a character. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my review.
