Jenny is back in America, but this time she is looking to settle down.
Or is she?
Rogue has gone house hunting with a purpose, but what is the house for?
Having learned the lesson that you keep your friends close, but your (potential) enemies closer - Jennie has the SIA pulled up close against her chest.
Are they truly full of politics and red tape as she suspects?
Jennie has to deal with a new paranormal creature, this one wants to dine on her flesh.
There are a lot of the little creatures, but what they don't have in size they make up in quantity.
Now Jennie must figure out how to get the construct they creature to heel, can she do it?
This book has a little bit of everything. Southern horrors, clueless government agents, New York mafia and others all battling against Rogue and her motley crew of human and spectral allies. A unique world with elements reminiscent of the best from the Victorian code of conduct, weird West technology replaced with spectral science set in today's world. This series is a fun read for anyone that wants to read something completely different from the current urban fantasy selections. This book can be read stand alone but it is better if you read the series in order.
I have really enjoyed this series and would hate for it to end. But after reading Michael Anderle's authors notes, I get the feeling this was the end. Would enjoy reading more either from this series or even a new series written in this world. Maybe Jennie could open a branch on the West coast? 👻 🕺 🕴Swashbuckling movie stars from the past helping out? In the meantime I'm off to read the latest Steel Dragon 🐉 book. Thanks Michael for sharing your unbelievable imagination with us! 🌟💖
There is a reason Michael Anderle is one of the best. He has a way of writing...he pulls you in to his world where you get to live with his characters and he is a master at making you feel every emotion on a level that few can match. You really ought to start reading his books, you won't be disappointed.
Jenny and her crew are kept busy chasing after evil and establishing her court. There’s misdirection and darkness at work, but Jenny won’t back down. There’s a lot happening, keeping the readers on their toes as well as the characters.
I loved this entire trilogy. The growth of the characters. The uniting of the world's paranormal/spectral agencies. All very well developed and believable.
