There are expectations when one opens a book with the word "Master" in the title. There's the hope that the book will be hot but not gratuitous; that the special dynamic of Master and submissive will be represented right but not watered down; that there will be character building and solid storytelling behind all of the D/s 'flash". Well, Demetri and Katherine's story delivered on every one of these anticipations and more--and in the space of a novella, at that. I was moved, touched, turned on, and turned inside out by this quick read, which I completed in one sitting but sighed over for hours to come. There is so much to love about this book--but most importantly, for me, was the strength of these two characters. So beautifully done. I loved every word.

Ahh finally got around to reading this book. I am not... no, I wasn't disappointed in this book. I also glad that it didn't take me long to finish this book. I liked the story even though it was short. I was glad of that. Plus, that gay Lennox was horrible; the nerve of him to track Demitri and his sister (especially) his sister every move. Since; he raped her. Plus he had the nerve to say he cared and liked her., I had to make a face...

Because he almost raped Katherine... I was glad when Ronan rush into that room like a knight with Demitri behind him... I was praying for Demitri to hurry up and come just, so Katherine doesn't get raped. That's one thing I had when reading books "a woman getting raped or a child" I can't take that... my heart can't since I am not a fan. I couldn't even write a book like that...

But end the end, Lennox got taken away. I hope In the book with Ronan and Adriana let's say I pray that Lennox doesn't pop up in there story... because he should've died.

P.S. I do hope that Demitri's sister Adriana gets her own story since I want to know what's going on with her and Ronan.

Amazing

Let me just say that I have really enjoyed every Misadventures book that I have read so far.
This book was a short story between Katherine ( Daughter of the Attorney General and BFF of Charlotte who we met in Misadventures of the First Daughter), and Demetri (Club owner of Crave we met briefly in First Daughter).
This was a sizzling hot steamy romance that even had a bit of suspense mixed in. You definitely don't want to miss out on reading this Misadventure!

After finishing Misadventures with the First Daughter, I knew I had to dive into this one.

Crave is a club mentioned in the previous book and is a major setting for this one. Our H/h, Demitri and Katherine, met then and this book has some timing overlap. Upon meeting, Kat was like putty in his hands, in a truly submissive way, but Demi's dark past keeps him from committing to anything beyond lessons to teach her submission.

Dark and Dominant, Demitri is a strong character, but not an asshole. He loves his family and cares deeply for Kat, no matter how hard it is to express. And Kat has a secret up her sleeve. Their chemistry is great, though this is just a novella, it packs in everything you need.

So worth the wait!!
It was perfect, I love it, it was short but sweet and to the point, sexy as hell of course.
Everything I could of imagined it to be and more, Meredith and Michelle sure kept me on the edge of yes, no, what will happen and holy hell!!

I'm a big Meredith Wild fan, so after some other duds in this particular anthology set, I thought 'Finally! A book I know will be great.' After all, I loved the 'Misadventures with the First Daughter' book and once I realized this book was a sort-of spinoff I knew this one would be interesting. Unfortunately, this book was a disappointment for me. Not because it didn't have potential, because I would probably have given this 5 stars if it were a full-length book like the First Daughter book. I probably would have given it a better rating had we actually gotten to read about their feelings developed. Instead we get one prologue and then it fast forwards to a year later after they've been 'seeing' each other off and on for a year and feelings are already in play.

This book was just way too short to feel any sort of connection with the MC's. The suspense plot wrapped up way too quickly and I was left wondering why it was even included to begin with since it didn't really add much, other than forcing Demitri to express his feelings. The epilogue was pretty much non-existant. We don't know how her parents reacted to her moving in with Demitri. We don't know what happens to Lennox. We're just left with him putting a collar on her a few days later and that's it. I looked to see if maybe there was another Misadventures that is yet another spinoff on this one where we may get a peek into their lives, but I didn't see that either. *sigh*

Again, most obviously love this, but for me, I just wasn't feeling any connection other than a purely lust one with these two.

5 ⭐ I loved it. I’ll revisit it like an old friend. This book is moving right into my favorites category. I would recommend it to everyone, even people that don’t ask. I’ll one click this author’s work in the future. For a few hours, I belonged to the author’s world and not my own.
4 ⭐ A great read. I’ll probably reread again when feeling nostalgic. It was very enjoyable, not portable magic. I would recommend it to a friend.
3 ⭐ I liked it. It was a nice way to pass the time. I doubt I’ll reread it. I’d recommend it to someone asking for a specific genre. Thanks for the memories.

Misadventures with a Master is Demetri and Katherine’s story. They are the secondary characters from Misadventures of the First Daughter. To follow along with their story it is not essential to read Misadventures with a First Daughter, I however decided to re-read it. I have enjoyed every Misadventures book and Meredith Wild and Mia Michelle do not disappoint with this one! After reading Misadventures with a Master it will leave you saying Yes, Master and begging for more!!

Misadventures with a Master by Meredith Wild and Mia Michelle was a novella in the Misadventures series. The series was written by various authors with a steamy flare and can all be read in any order as a stand-a-lone.

I’ve taken a hiatus from formal reviews for awhile but a couple quick thoughts: I liked the characters (Katherine and Dimitri) but it was a slow build and as it was a short novella, it was hard to get much depth. And from the master perspective, it wasn’t a traditional dominant - sub development. There were so many facets to the story that I wanted more and would have loved a full storyline exploring the many conflicts from not only Dimitri’s past, but also Katherine’s family. But all in all, it was quick, written well and entertaining.

I really enjoyed reading Misadventures With A Master. 🖤 It was short story about Katherine and Demitri. It’s was a very steamy read but it had some suspense to it. Let me just say that the Misadventures books that I have read I loved them all. ❤️

The Misadventures series is one I look forward to reading each time a new take on it releases. I'm also a fan of Meredith Wilde. However, this book was a disappointment. The plot was so thin and flat as to be nearly nonexistent. The characters were so one-dimensional and uninspired as to be utterly unmemorable.

I was really looking forward to this story after being introduced to these characters in the previous installment of this series. Unfortunately, this book was a disappointment.

We start the book at the first time the MMC and FMC interact, but, for some unknown reason, we don't even get that entire night. It fades to black pretty quickly and then the story skips ahead one year.

You find out the FMC has been taking "lessons" from the MMC for a year, but he refuses to have sex with the FMC. So, we don't get the entire first night they met, the first "lesson", their first kiss or the development of their feelings for one another. We just pick up one year later after getting a brief glimpse of the night they met.

Due to this choice, it was difficult to be emotionally invested in these characters or to understand where their motivations and feelings were coming from. The MMC is struggling with his feelings, telling himself he's not in love, but he can't focus on anything because of the FMC? Okay, I guess? I haven't a clue how their interactions have gone over the past year, so I am not feeling his struggle or feelings. The FMC is tired of waiting for the MMC to take her virginity, so she is going to the club to find another "master." Okay? I don't know what all has gone on between her and the MMC, so I have no idea what to think about this. Maybe it's disrespectful to the MMC? Maybe it's not? The year prior would shed light on their dynamic, but it's not included here.

Overall, the execution of this story isn't the best. If you like suspense, this might be worth it to pick up because of the suspense in the story, but the romance is significantly lacking.

They met at his BDSM club. Although they then see each other for a year, he doesn’t have sex with her yet because she’s still a virgin. However, the person who raped his sister and murdered his parents is back in town. He breaks it off with her because he doesn’t think he is in love with her even though he is. Also, he is worried about the power her dad, the attorney general, has because her dad can destroy his club business. However, when she goes out looking for a new master, he claims her and takes her virginity. When she is kidnapped by the bad guy, the male lead saves her. Although the male lead wants to kill the bad guy, he doesn’t, and let’s the authorities take care of him. One thing that annoyed me was that although they show in the last scene the male lead collaring the female lead, they never talk about how they work out the complexity of them having to deal with her controlling and dismissive parents. He worried her dad could ruin his business, and they never talk about how that is resolved. The male lead simply says, although the attorney general has many friends in high places, the male lead also has many friends. The side couples in this story are the female lead’s best friend, the daughter of the POTUS, and her bodyguard and the male lead’s sister and the male lead’s best friend.

This book gets your blood flowing!!!

Seriously, I loved this one. Demitri is a beautiful Czech Adonis who owns a sex club. Katherine is the daughter of the Attorney General. You wouldn’t think they’d mix but maybe that’s exactly why they do.

Katherine wants to explore who she really is. The side she has to hide from her family. The side that wouldn’t fit into the political circles her family blends with. Here she find Demitri. The man she wants to be her master. The man she wants to claim her.

Demitri finds Katherine to be intriguing and a challenge. As soon as he finds out who she is, though, he keeps her at a distance. He can’t cross that line, but would it be worth it?

On top of these two adorable people you have Ronan, Demitri’s best friend and a CIA agent, and Adriana, Demitri’s young sister and a survivor of some horrible crimes. They are such good secondary characters and I adore them both. Adriana has an amazingly sweet heart and Ronan is just the comedic relief you need.

I loved that this story had a great storyline as well as the steamy moments to go with it. So much love!!!

I loved this. The general consensus is that Kat and Demitri had some seriously hot almost chemistry in Misadventures of the First Daughter, also by Meredith and Mia. We got just barley a glimpse of what Demitri does to Kat just by a single look, such a tease! Well it was worth it and even tho this wasn't a full length novel, Master definitely gave me everything I wanted! Some heartache, some drama, lots of hotness, and an HEA! WHAT more could a girl want? I loved Kat so much more than in First Daughter. I think she was portrayed as the party girl always getting her friend into trouble, when in truth she was always just looking for love and acceptance. Demitri was definitely smoking from the start but super mysterious. I loved that we got to see his true personality and heart in this. I adore them as a couple and I think Meredith and Mia paced this Novella perfectly! And HELLO it takes place at Christmas time which is my fav!! Throw in a pet name like Kitten and I'm certainly a goner! So, everything like I said!

Katherine was brought to a sex club a few times by her friend and finds out what she wants but until she meets Demitri not who. They start a D/S relationship but have not have intercourse. Katherine is a virgin and can not wait for Demitri to take her. But he is hesitant because she is Attorney General's daughter and he thinks he does not deserve her.
Her parents do not deserve her, they forget her birthday too often and her Dad gives her a curfew of midnight if she wants to continue get their financial support but not their respect or love.
Finally they consumate their relationship when she goes in his sex club and makes herself avaiable to any man.
Meanwhile Demitri has to deal with a violent ex friend who wants him to launder money andwill do anything to make him do so.

Misadventures with a Master, follows Misadventures of a First Daughter. I've been anxious to read the story of Demitri and Katherine since ending First Daughter. This was a hot, steamy and far to quick to end read.

Meredith Wild and Mia Michelle, are a collaborating duo that I'd love to read more of.

As with each book in the Misadventures series, this one gets the 5 star rating it so deserves.

To Sir, with Love....

Katherine and Demitri's story was so worth the wait. I knew this was going to be super hot, super sexy and I was not disappointed. I had an image in my mind of what Demitri looked like and Meredith Wild and Mia Michelle nailed it. I am a sucker for an accent, and I found myself reading this story in my head with one. Demitri was a Master through and through. From the moment Katherine saw him a year ago in Crave, she knew what she wanted, to be his slave.

Demitri found Katherine so refreshingly different from all the women he was accustomed to. His desire was to train and mold her to prove to her she could be everything she dreamed of becoming. But as time passed, the lines blurred and he found he wanted to be much more than just her teacher and mentor.

I have been WAITING forever for this book, ever since I first was introduced to Dimitri and Katherine in Misadventures with a First Daughter.   When I found out this book was going to be in a Luvbooks box, you bet I had to order one!

Katherine and Dimitri's chemistry is seriously OFF THE CHARTS in this novel.  She the daughter of the Attorney General, him, a Dominant at one of the hottest sex clubs in DC.  When their worlds collide, fireworks explode from every page!

Dimitri knows only one thing--Control.  But when he meets Katherine, his world gets tilted on its axis, and suddenly, Dimitri realizes he is no longer in control of the one important thing he holds dear--his heart. 

This was a page-turner novella for me, and I am so glad Dimitri and Katherine's story has been released!

I have read several of the misadventure books and always love them. This one was no exception. Katherine’s whole life changed after one night at Crave. She has been sheltered and suffocated by her father and his political ambitions her whole life. She has finally found something just for her. Demitri keeps Katherine at a distance no matter how much he wants to keep her close. He needs to protect his sister above everything else. Plus bringing her closer could put her in danger as well. Or at least that’s how he feels until Katherine stops returning his calls and puts an end to whatever they have been doing. This book was a great read. I sucked in right away. There is a bit of angst, romance, and danger in this book. I highly recommend this book. I can’t say enough about the characters.

I have been waiting for this book to be released for what felt like forever!

It was worth the wait!

WARNING: This book has scenes discussing rape and attempted rape.

We have all heard of fifty shades, the boom into the Dom/Sub relationships kept behind closed doors (mainly!). Well this is a fantastic novella indulging readers in this world.

I enjoyed learning about the main couple and feel there should be a second book - for Adriana and Ronan... hopefully that wish will come true (fingers crossed...!)

Another fantastic book in the misadventures series, all of which can be read as stand alone’s.
