Can she trust his sensual attention or will he shatter her fragile heart? Prickly Keisha Johnson has an inner soft heart underneath her tough exterior. She also has the hots for the company pilot, Shane Washington. When he turns those striking dark chocolate eyes on her, Keisha wants to melt into a steamy puddle of desire. But of course, that isn't her MO. Melting means soft. And life has taught her that being soft means getting stepped all over. Shane Washington is very attracted to Keisha. What really does it for him is her attitude and smarts. A killer combination. But she works for his boss, Jack Stone, and in business Shane sticks to a 'no frat' policy. Leftover regs from his days in the military. So he stays away from her until a favor for their boss sends them undercover and under the covers. Working together is easy and fun until they have to tell Jack that someone very close to him is the culprit.
USA Today Bestselling Author Lisa Hughey started writing romance in the fourth grade. That particular story involved a prince and an engagement. Now, she writes about strong heroines who are perfectly capable of rescuing themselves and the heroes who love both their strength and their vulnerability. She pens romances of all types—suspense, paranormal, and contemporary—but at their heart, all her books celebrate the power of love.
She lives in Cape Ann Massachusetts with her fabulously supportive husband, two out of three awesome mostly-grown kids, and one somewhat grumpy cat.
Yoga, hiking, and traveling are her favorite ways to pass the time when she isn’t plotting new ways to get her characters to fall in love.
Good story, but this was even shorter than the others. Short books have a strange pacing, and although the characters here are interesting and fun, everything happens too fast.
So, I liked the book, not loved it. Hopefully the next one is a little longer and more happens in it.
There is a problem at a non profit the Stone Family supports and Jack calls in Shane and Keisha to help investigate. Will they find their happily ever after or will the attraction self destruct?
