Roh'ilian Warrior #1

Caged with the Alien

Rate this book
Will she be the one to lure the beast from the darkness?

Galak, once the proud leader of his tribe, has become one with death and pain. They call him beast, and he’s earned the title. Living in a cage, being forced to fight to survive has made him the worst version of himself. Most nights, he wonders if he’ll ever find his way back again.

Then she appears, dropped into the middle of the combat pits.

He’s given an order to impregnate her or face the consequences. But he’s Roh’ilian and they don’t hurt women or take what isn’t given freely. Even the beast within won’t allow it.

Emerie, desperate for money, arrived at a research organization to participate in a medical study. With zero family to lean on, her back is against the wall. Instead of the pills she expected, she wakes up in a strange place surrounded by creatures from science fiction novels.

She’s given a choice: submit to the beast or be passed from cage to cage until she gives her captors what they want – a successful mating between a human and alien species that results in a child. But Emerie just wants to go home. Even if there’s nothing for her to go home to.

She’s seen the beast’s incredible power firsthand. She also sees how he looks at her. If he wanted to, he could take her without question. Instead, he surprises her. Is it possible the beast has a soft side? And how far is he willing to go to make sure she remains unharmed?

Caged with the Alien is the first book in a steamy new alien breeder series. No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA guaranteed!

Although I did enjoy this story I feel like there’s something off with the way the warriors speak. It feels too common, everyday English to me, not what you would expect from an alien race. Or maybe it’s just me? The story is full of action, but there are some discrepancies that the author has not addressed, like what happened to the control collar??

Not bad, but I feel like I've read this plot so many time before-and with more success.

description

So aliens capture a human female (with no family or friends to speak of so no one will go looking) and trap her in a cage with a warrior of a soon-to-be-extinct species in order to force them to have babies to keep their alien race going.

Sigh, why is it always about forcing women to have babies in these stories?

description

Anyhoo the couple has no choice but to....couple, and in turn passion gives way to real feelings. The big bad is, of course, a emotionless scientific madman and a warlord bent on using this couple to progress his warlord needs- & they must escape before baby is used as a bargaining tool ect.

Plus there was nothing really "alien" about his alien except for his skin tone- kinda want a little more sci-fi in the romance.

My question though is

eh.

El comienzo de esta serie no me pudo dejar mejor sabor. Realmente sufrí y me emocioné con estos personajes y con cada una de las situaciones que les tocó enfrentar. Me convencieron total y absolutamente.

Además, me llamó la atención la estructura de la novela, en el sentido que ellos resolvieron su relación casi desde un principio, para luego tratar de salir adelante juntos.

Para quienes gustan de este subgénero este libro es una buenísima opción.

I ALMOST GAVE THIS A PASS BUT, BECAUSE IT HELD QUALITIES THAT ALWAYS ATTRACTS ME, I THOUGHT WHY THE HECK NOT? FORCED MATING BETWEEN BOTH CAPTIVES HAVE BEEN ONE OF MY GUILTY PLEASURE FOR SCI-FI ALIEN ROMANCE.

GALAK is the known alien hero in the story, and he's kept a prisoner by the antagonist of the story who make it a point to study and trying to breed near extinct species. Galak was kept for his amazing healing capabilities. They want to replicate it to create super soldiers, and one way to keep him in line is to ensure he has a weakness. Being Roh'ilian means protecting the weaker sex, and respecting them. His meeting with Emerie was close to insta-love but not entirely. While I'm more into fierce and assholey males, Galak's sweet and decided that Emerie's his to protect immediately. While Galak is supposed to be the leader of his tribe, his strength and abilities as one is capable. I mean, his tribe got caught and look where he's at now. And, after learning that his 'brothers' were once prisoners too but got away, he regretted never being more aggressive in leaving captivity and protecting his mate better. In other words, he's a man whom one can rely on, given that he reflects on his own shortcomings.

EMERIE got abducted from Earth when she's trying to restart her life, one that wasn't glamourous and hasn't known much kindness. I think being an alien captive was the best thing that ever happened to her because she got to meet Galak - the future Father of her baby. Forced to mate with Galak wasn't a chore, not when both were attracted and attuned to each other. They needed to escape, because there's no way they're going to let the bad guys have her baby! Emerie's character is more up my alley. While she's submissive, she isn't entirely weak, though I have to point out she doesn't do much in the story. LOL. She may be the lead character, but she's no heroine, literally.

OVERALL this was a quick and easy story. Don't think too much about it because then you'll pick up on all the flaws and potholes. This kind of story is perfect when you don't have much time to delve into an intricate and taxing story. This was sweet, passionate and just right without making too much sense.

honestly i don't remember much to what happened in this. the gist really is alien and human end up in a testing facility and end up together in a mate or die.

it probably was more likable as i was reading it but i just haven't really thought much of it since.

What in the boring ass alien is this? Everyone speaks American English, like literally all of the aliens speak modern day English with the exception of 1 phrase and 1 pet name.

Also aliens that are just taller musclier humans with different color skin hardly count. He didn’t even have any abnormal traditions or features except silver skin! None of the language barrier or culture shock I expect in alien kidnapping stories lol

***** 2.5 STARS *****

Same old plot as countless other alien abduction stories, where a human female is taken from Earth, used for scientific experimentation, and then bred with an alpha from a humanoid alien species. The writing is engaging and the book is better edited than many others that I’ve read, ergo the 2.5 star rating.

Major letdowns, however, are the lack of world building and plot holes that I found really annoying. For example, we’re barely told anything about the planet they’re on, such as the topography, vegetation, climate, colour of the sky, number of moons, or even the type of food the MCs are fed in their cell. And we don’t know how Emerie (h) can so easily understand complex alien languages. Sure, I know she was presumably implanted with a translation device, but the reader shouldn’t be left to assume. There are no communication barriers whatsoever, which is improbable, considering the characters are from different species, different planets and galaxies. Galak (H) can also comprehend Americanisms and nonverbal communication, and engage in human sexual intimacies (ahem...kissing and cunnilingus) as good as, if not better, than any human male without any prompting. It’s highly unlikely that the MCs would be able to understand each other so effortlessly. Galak is too much like a human man. Apart from his physical appearance, everything about him is just like any regular guy off the street, which is ridiculous, imo.

Having said that, the book is a quick read and somewhat entertaining. I may read book 2 to find out what happens to Khocin.

I really liked this book, you have 2 very strong MC’s no damsel in distress waiting to to be saved... you do have a protective big alien however who you can’t help but adore and the fact that she saves him as much as he saves her is perfect, they very much rely on each other. The story is about 2 people being thrown into an awful situation and trying to survive their awful imprisonment at the hands of another alien species, who are intent on using them for experimentation and breeding to create the perfect warrior, they also happen to fall fall in love along the way. This is the first book I read by this author I will definitely be reading more from her and downloading the next in the series 👍

The story line/world building is interesting. The reason for the average rating is the story gets too bogged down in endless navel gazing and sex. I know that seems to be a trend but I think they’d be trying to figure out an escape and not laying around having sex and snuggling. Plus, I found it odd that they could talk and not be listened to or have guards on the floor. He’s in a cell near other aliens for years and hasn’t spoken to them..ok...maybe they don’t understand but he understands Em immediately and they both understand their captors which I also thought it odd that everyone could talk to each other...different species from different planets? Yet here on earth we have numerous languages.

Anyway, the main characters didn’t have a lot of sexy spark or I didn’t feel it. I liked them and definitely wanted them to escape which they do by accident. But this could have been better. I’m still going to move forward with the series...skimming if the next one is just as wordy as this one.

Reads a lot like some meh fanfiction. The characters are pretty quick to trust and love each other without building up from anything (just an immediate "yeah he's gonna protect me" and "woman! Must protect"), and the descriptions of the MMC's species sound like they're just a different colored buff human.

The spicy scenes were okay but there is a lot of cringe in the dialogue, which is what made me think of the old fanfictions I used to read in high school. The plot is pretty much exactly what you'd expect, not many surprises which isn't necessarily a bad thing... it's just a very straightforward read.

No issues with languages or translations, no huge differences in cultures that would lead to any kind of conflict. Not something I would really recommend to someone who likes sci fi romance but it's a quick read. I don't think I'll continue with the next book in the series.

So I wasn't sure what to rate this book. A 2.5 is what I settled on.

First I'll start with what I liked about the book. Strong sweet female lead Emerie. Hot alien guy with a good heart. Had a very good start to the story a little predictable but I gave it a shot. The romance was cute and sweet pretty fast however. The "adult time" parts of the book were good and there were quite a few. I think there was a bit to much talking during just because it became a bit on the cheesy side but not bad.

Now for the things I didnt care for in the book. First off, how did everyone speak the same language? They are aliens. You would think there would be some type of language barrier? Then there wasn't really that great of a plot. You would sometimes guess that maybe the author has some sort of surprise for you in the story but for the most part it's predictable and a bit confusing to be honest.

Then the nickname omg I hated it!! He doesn't seem at all like an alien. I can see calling her mate or some other thing but shortening her name seems too human. But maybe I'm too picky with my alien stories? Idk but it was an okay story

Emerie and Galak what a wonderful surprise 💖😊

While looking for something new to read in one of my favorite genres I came across Luna Kingsley an author I've never read before. I read the description and almost passed it up because of the breeder romance aspect that is usually not one of my favorite things to read but something about the book drew me in so I took a chance and I'm so thrilled that I did. This book was an awesome surprise. Emerie, is a young Earth woman with abuse in her last struggling to get her life back on track. She answers an add that seems to good to be true and she finds out the heart way when sneakers up in a cage on another world being fought over by a huge silver alien. Galak once a leader of his tribe a good warrior , captured in an surprise attack on his people and forced too used to horrible test and fight for his life on a daily basis for those who hurt his people. He knows something different the minute he enters the fighting out and see a woman. A strange species he's never seen but he takes one look and see her beauty. He won't allow his tormentors to heart this female he will fight to protect her. Emerie looks up after waking in the fighting pit to see this amazing and terrifying warrior tying to defend her from any who would do her harm. She's trying to wrap her mind around aliens existing and realizing she in a who!e new world of trouble. Galak and Emerie are thrown together because their captors want them to breed and create a child. Both are horrified at the fact that this is what is expected. Galak 's people respect and cherish women and he doesn't want to hurt her, but if he doesn't do what he's told Emerie will be hurt and passed around to all the prisoners . Although the circumstances are horrifying they find a connection that grows quickly and is believable. It feels natural and fluid even under their horrible circumstances. The author makes the internal struggle of both Emerie and Galak believable both want to live and escape so they do what they must they just didn't realize it would come to mean everything. I love the characters, the chemistry was fantastic between Emerie and Galak and it was the perfect combination of action and passion. There is good world building and the ending leaves you wanting to read the next in the series. I can't wait until it comes out and I will definitely be checking out her other books. So happy I took the chance.💖💖💖💖

4 1/2 stars

Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, adult intimate scenes and violence.

This is the beginning of a new series and focuses on abducted alien males and human females. Besides kidnapping, there is also torture conducted in the name of science, fighting to the death, threats, assault, rape, etc.

The story universe is started for the series and we are introduced to the Roh’ilian warriors. They were a primitive tribe that were abducted from their home planet so they could be forced to fight while different tests were conducted to learn about a special trait known to their species, in this case, it is fast self-healing. Other aliens were also captured and experimented upon.

The Beast is a larger newly crowned King of his tribe when the invasion took place and he is forced to be part of their experiments for years before a human female is “given” to him so she can be impregnated.

Beast had not given up exactly, but since her arrival, he is now actively looking for a way for them to escape before she becomes pregnant. Then one day there is a malfunction and their cage opens ...

There are a few grammatical errors but overall the story is a good escape from reality for several hours.

Being forced from two different worlds to be used as prototypes for the ultimate warrior. So Emery was kidnapped from earth and she’s put in a cage. She comes face-to-face with a human resembling alien. Regardless of his silver skin and be like mentality it’s OK. He instantly has a protection channel force that overcomes him for her. Galak’s Alien features and traits of a self healing process whenever he is injured are what they want. These scientists have been injecting serum’s in both of them and natural environment inflicting harm to test. She to breed his child. Anyway these two have created a connection he will protect her at all costs. And she will learn to depend on him in order to protect her for the majority of the evil that the scientist have come up with. This is action randomly through the story. Their need to escape is evident. Their own issues need to be resolved in order for trust to bond them. Great characters, no cliffhanger but another book seem to lead to a in the future.

Fantastic start to this new series and I can’t wait to read book 2, it’s action packed with plenty of drama, suspense, danger, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. This story is about Galak who was kidnapped from his own planet he lives in a cage and he’s made to fight to survive he has become a beast but they have thrown a human female into the middle of it all and they are forcing him to breed with her but Galak is a warrior his race doesn’t hurt women they treasure them. Emerie is all alone in this world she’s in desperate need of money she is taken to a research organisation thinking that she will only have to take pills she has a rude awakening when she wakes up on a different planet with all types of aliens, Emerie is forced into a choice be passed from cage to cage to get pregnant or submit to Galak the beast. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Galak is reduced to fighting for survival, living down to his nickname of “Beast”. He’s afraid he has lost all of him that made him honorable. Now the madmen are trying an experiment by throwing Emerie into the pit. He either has to breed with her or she will be passed around until they get what they want. But he is Roh’ilian and his people would never force a woman or take what isn’t given freely. It is so strongly ingrained in him that even the beast within won’t tolerate it.

Emerie had walked into this situation out of ignorance. She thought she was participating in a medical study but woke in a strange place surrounded by otherworldly creatures. Emerie just wants to go home. She knows the beast could take her with his massive strength. Yet he doesn’t. Is he going to make sure she remains safe? Is there any possibility of escape for them?

Emerie wants a fresh start in life, but it very quickly gets a lot "fresher" than she ever imagined! She's kidnapped by a group conducting experiments on a variety of species, and her best bet is to go along with what is asked of her. Emerie and Galak become a lifeline for each other. For Emerie, Galak represents safety and goodness among cruelty and pain. For Galak, Emerie represents a second chance to compensate for perceived failures, a kindness he's long gone without, and her trust of him starts to break through his self consciousness about women always being frightened of him because of his size.

A very interesting universe is being created in this story. It is bringing together groups of different cultures, all with varying degree of familiarity with technology. The native population embraces those who have suffered even more than they have at the hands of the colonizers.

Galak has been fighting for survival and living up to his nickname Beast. He's use to be an honorable warrior but is afraid that he's lost that trait. Emerie was abducted and now has been thrown into the pit. They give "Beast" and ultimatum to breed with her or she will be passed around to the others until she gets pregnant. Galak is a Roh'ilian and his people never force a woman against her will. Emerie was suppose to participate in a medical study but woke in this strange place. Will beast be able to resist? Will he have the strength to save himself and Emerie? I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book is completely different from the Alien Bride series in a very good way. It is darker, more emotional and dramatic and "steamier"... All in all, a real surprise from Luna that I loved. The characters have depth, and we get to see how much they have suffered and how they evolve throughout the story. The plot is well-built, the dystopian world is interesting, there is a lot of action and a lot of steam! The book is fast-paced and l think longer than the other books, however I read it in one go. I am really waiting anxiously for the next book in this series :)

Galek aka Beast and Emerie

I give this book 5 cups of steaming java, ☕☕☕☕☕. Good introduction that had me lured in to be enthralled as the plot thickens in what happened to Galek as he was taken from his home world to be used a guinea pig/fighter bec of his breed and then many years later comes Emerie kidnapped from Earth to be used for breeding. They're forced together for scientific research that the bad aliens wanted to expand on. They escape, but she's recaptured. Galek finds his old tribesmen and goes back to facility to rescue her and demolish it. Great ending to story. I am definitely looking forward to next book!

All is not what it seems

This is a great beginning to what looks to be a very interesting series. I am excited to find out what happens next.
Em goes into what is a testing facility on Earth in order to earn some money for rent and food. What is actually is, is a place that kidnapped her and took her to an unknown planet.
Galak has been kept in a cell, forced to fight, and experimented on for years. Now he has something to protect. A female like he has never seen before. He failed his tribe when they all got captured so now he must figure out a way to save her and hopefully redeem himself.

Emerie is a human taken against her will and thrown into a cage with Galak aka Beast who’s instinct is to protect her. Arlal is a scientist attempting to mate Emerie and Galak so to save his species that is near extinction, while he is also making Galak into an indestructible warrior as a means to develop the perfect warrior. Emerie and Galak are sent through numerous obstacles and struggles during this incredibly articulated story with some exotically, intense sexual encounters between the two. With every turn of the page comes some more turmoil for the couple to endure and conquer so get prepared for the roller coaster of excitement!

New author for me. I enjoyed this book and before I knew it I had read the whole thing in one sitting. THe story kept me engaged and really flowed. Luna is a new author for me and I immensely enjoyed this book. Luna put a lot of effort into this story that it was no time at all before I was at the end. Very engaging and interesting. I would recommend this book to others who want a good paranormal suspense romance romp!

Emerie is trying to make money so she can live and have food and rent so she goes to a research organization but the place does not look like it does from the pictures online. Emerie was going to do the three week study for two thousand but they want her for another. Beast is in a cage and is control by a collar around his neck. He does what they have him do because of the collar. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author.

I really loved this story and the series improves with each book.
The imprisoned human woman Charlie and Thutik, the silver-skinned Roh'ilian have a real struggle to free themselves from the Yinean who continue trying to develop the ultimate warriors. As the agonising serum take effect Thrutik can scarcely control the urge to protect his unexpected mate. I really enjoyed getting to know these two people
