This is a romance. I have really been loving Harlequin books lately, but I just got into the Harlequin Medical Romance. I also have been loving the Medical Romance line. This book was very good. I loved the characters, and I enjoyed the storyline of this book. This book was so enjoyed to read. I cannot say it was a cute romance, but I found it a fun and fast read. I needed fun read with all this craziness going on right now. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Medical Romance) or author (Scarlet Wilson) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I received an ARC from Mills and Boon, and Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This was enjoyable but it was a rather different read, and I'm not sure if I totally liked the heavy emphasis on the medical/military aspects of the story.

Interesting premise: Ivy and Travis (both Doctors in the Navy), are both using a dating app but hiding their real identities. They nearly meet, but Ivy is hauled off to replace an MO on a navy ship. They meet when Travis turns up as the replacement SMO and Ivy's Boss on the same ship.

They get close. There's a stupid misunderstanding (Ivy jumps to conclusions), she threatens him; he resigns and they finally get together after 10 weeks.

I really liked Travis - hiding his PTSD, concerned about Ivy and not wanting to risk her career, he's really a great guy. Ivy is a different matter. Focused on her career, she has a tendency to want to be in control of herself and everyone else. I had no real sense of her falling in love with Travis and I couldn't understand her behaviour towards him. I really didn't feel I knew these two well enough to become invested in their story.

I think the heavy focus on Navy/Medical aspects was at the expense of the romance. I know this writer can write really well, but this book disappointed me slightly because the romance suffered. I would have liked an epilogue set a couple of years in the future showing how they'd worked everything out. Three and a half stars

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

His Blind Date Bride was a solid romance that flowed well from beginning to end. Travis and Ivy were fascinating characters who were believable and relatable. Ms. Wilson did a wonderful job with details about life about a Navy carrier and I found myself just as interested in learning about that aspect as I did about watching the relationship grow and blossom. I really appreciated that Ivy wasn’t your stereotypical heroine. She has a solid career in the Navy that she was passionate about and made a priority even while still trying to figure out how to add love to the equation. Travis’ struggle with PTSD was heartfelt and I appreciated the realism of the horrors so many of our servicemen and women deal with. Ms. Wilson did a great job of showing the buildup of a relationship that starts with chemistry and evolves into friendship and love. Neither character was perfect and that works for me because it made Travis and Ivy real to me. And that made the book a joy to read.

Really enjoyed this one. There was something different in it, a depth, that I didn't expect to find in a category romance - it deals with PTSD and living with it, which is a heavy topic in itself, but this was very well handled and balanced with the relationship that was budding between the hero and heroine. Aside from a few instances where I wondered about professionalism (but we're also here to suspend disbelief), this one kept me enthralled as I so wanted to find out how these two would get their HEA. The end didn't disappoint, though I would've liked the epilogue to give more about how Travis is doing after a while...but it was a swoon-worthy happy time, so I won't hold that against it

A superior combination of Navy tradition and activity on an aircraft carrier and doctors in action, doing what they are trained to do. Oh, and there's that blind date that is stopped before it begins because surgeon Ivy Ross is ordered to replace another surgeon in an emergency deployment she wasn't expecting. Also unexpected is the man who becomes her immediate superior, the new senior medical officer on board ship.

That each was expecting to meet the other at a bar for that blind date, but didn't--until he came off the flight deck--is a surprise they aren't expecting, which leads to all manner of other unanticipated actions, including his PTSD, which she can't ignore, but does.

Questions abound as they try not to mix business with pleasure while serving together as part of the same medical detachment. But the key questions that remain relate to how they will combine a family life with military service. Will they or won't they?

This is a lovely story set in an unusual setting but that only added to the story.
Ivy and Travis both have very busy lives and trying to actually go on a date is near impossible. Until they find an evening to meet, only for Ivy to be called away to work with immediate effect on her way to meet Travis. Will they ever meet or is their connection just through texts?
I don’t want to give anything away plot wise.
The characters were well written, really enjoyed the unusual setting. I can understand why relationships within this setting are hard and can impinge upon working areas.
I would recommend this book and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Oh it was a great story about military and navy meeting on a dating app( with fake profiles)and meeting each other out to sea and her supporting him to get help for his pstd disease. Also finding the right partner that has the same passion as for each other.

An interesting setting focusing on medics in the Navy is the background for Ivy and Travis' romance. Meeting on a dating app, chemistry sparks and they decide to meet, but duty calls and Ivy doesn't show. Their first meeting is unexpected and difficult as the logistics of a workplace romance on a ship are difficult and forbidden.

Both of the characters are relatable with conflicted and believably written romance. Ivy's dedication to her career, and Travis' struggle with his mental health, add additional conflict and give this story authenticity.

This is an original crossover medical/military romance.

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

The theme and setting is original - a cross-over of medical and military. The detail was terrific and a sign of good research, which is admirable in any kind of story. I liked the strong initial attraction between Ivy and Travis under difficult circumstances, which led to wonderful sexual tension, although I would like a little more intimacy. Their relationship was involved, intriguing and real. A thoroughly enjoyable book.

I found this book online for free and was really bored, so I downloaded it to read. I genuinely enjoyed it! It was well written and cute! It had good development and plot! I thought that both characters were raw and real. If you want a short feel good read, this is it!!
