When Cassandra Berry gets offered a shitload of money and a place at any college of her choice, just to con a man and getting pregnant with a said man, the answer seems pretty straight forward; Yes.
- But Harry Xavier Devon is no mere fool.
With two millennium prizes on his back and renowned around the world as the next Newton within mathematics, Harry easily sees through his brother's ploy to have a woman seduce him and get her pregnant when he himself can't have children. His brother in desperate need of an heir for his business empire, but Harry has no intentions of playing the scapegoat.
Flipping the play against his brother, he pays Cassandra double the money to continue lying to his brother that they *are* having sex. He thinks he's gotten his revenge when it suddenly appears he's gotten more than he bargained for.
Cassandra is no shy woman, or as previously thought, just a money-grabbing whore.
Stuck in the same house together for a whole summer could prove to teach the mathematician that some things can *never* be calculated...
I'm not someone who re-reads books. Like I could count on one hand how many books I've re read since I started reading 3 years ago. Only three (and that includes this book right here). Last time I read this book, I loved it ngl but it ended with an open ending so I was sure I would never rr this book again. Last night I found the author has written the sequel of this book (The professor) on wattpad, I immediately dived into the book. Finally these characters will get their happy ending. Anyway I started it but it was confusing bc I couldn't remember details from 1st book so that lead me rereading the first book.
Least to say, I didn't sleep until 3am and even then I only slept for 3hr max and woke up to finish the book — it was that addicting. Sure there were some things I didn't like now (back then it didn't used to bother me) but I still loved both books.

now I'm gonna tell the part I didn't like in the book -
[this is self note to me, you guys can ignore it]
hero(Harry) who is a mathematician genius worked with a woman(Catarina) who was very smart and brilliant (remember this is all before he even met heroine, meaning it happened in the past) they got closer and started dating. See, he and his brother has a rivalry going on. His brother is a great manipulator but it irritates him that he can't manipulate Harry. Anyway, Harry knew that Catarina wants money but she won't get it from him and he knew that she would end up leaving him for his brother soon. So he actually made it happen. He introduced them and not even few weeks or maybe months later they announced they are together.
Idk if you guys understood what I said above but what I didn't like how he compared his ex with Heroine. It pissed me off so much and I HATE when hero compare their heroine with their ex lover. The fact didn't help that both have similarities. Like same hair color, same eye color etc

I always come back to this book. Probably have like 4 times now cuz it’s too good. i hate the ending tho but other than that i love Harry and Cassandra sm!!! Harry needs to shut up sometimes cuz all he does is give her speeches.
The 14 year age gap was not my fave but I still liked the idea of them nonetheless. Thank god for the nickname because I don't think I could read a whole book with the love interests name as Harold. The end was a little sad but it left plenty of room for me to make my own ending :)
I legit cried at the end because the book was coming to an end😭😭😭. Great book. If you're looking for a good read, you definitely gotta check this one out
Yall I've been coming back to this books for a hundred times and everytime its coming to the end of the book, it still gives that same bittersweet feeling but man Im inloveee with this !!
If you're into smart ,absolutely fine man, knows how to ✨treat✨ you well, then this is for you , happy reading ! Xx ❤️
This might be my favorite book of this author. The love interest is so mfknfnjrjkgnkjrngka. He's so smart and I love the main girl too! The plot was very cool, never thought I'd like it.
