Jerry Cole is a gay author who lives in California & enjoys writing love stories. Jerry has been writing fiction since he was a child. As a young adult, he worked as a freelance writer in the evenings & on weekends. Jerry started writing gay romance stories several years ago, but initially just for his own entertainment & occasionally sharing stories with his friends. In the summer of 2015 he published his first gay romance short story on Amazon. Overwhelmed by the positive response he decided to quit his “day job” & took up writing gay romance full time. When he’s not writing steamy M/M romance he enjoys globetrotting, watching movies with family and friends, working out, & being dragged down the road by his two Great Danes.
A low angst, leisure walk through the formation of an unexpected relationship. Our photographer, Ben, 29, is on a fashion shoot in beautiful Belize, where he meets a charming restaurant waiter, Ryan, 26. Ryan also owns a surf shop with his best friend. Ben and Ryan cab see there is a chemistry between them and begin to spend their free time together. By the end of the shoot, they both want more, they want a chance, so the decision is made to try a long distance romance. The sexy times are light, but frequent throughout. Ben works out of his LA home and travels a lot, but they make time to meet up and make it memorable, each "good-bye" getting harder. We see them navigate the ups and downs, no dramatic peaks and valleys, fix problems that arise, and get their histories and wishes told. It's a lovely, gliding romance, including friends, Ryan's family, and for Ben, who lacks family, he finds an accepting one. There is a side story of Ryan's best friend and Jaime, too. You'll stroll along with our men and feel abundant contentment. I've read many Jerry Cole books, and this is a different style of writing from this author. We get true love, true partners, and true happiness. ENJOY !
Ben and Ryan click immediately, but they do not know if a long distance relationship will work. They have many battles to face, and Ben does not want to leave his only family. A good read with no extra drama.
The very popular California author Jerry Cole’s publications are over ninety, and as Jerry’s repertoire grows his dramatic ability increases. PICTURE PERFECT LOVE, his newest novel, adds a feather in his cap as a writer of authority.
In this new novel Jerry explores the romance – and complications – of long distance romance, played out in a very clever manner between a photographer in California and a waiter in Belize. The way he weaves the art of photography with dreams of beautiful ‘elsewheres’, finding a picturesque stage on which to focus his lens, makes this story very successful.
Ever expanding his polish of prose, Jerry’s new story is pungent as well as interesting and satisfying – ‘Photographer Benjamin Reeves appears to have it all. He has a successful freelance photography business, a home on the beach in Southern California and a best friend who supports him through all of it. He does miss the love of a family, but he and his best friend, Jamie, have built their own. Ben travels to the world’s most beautiful places for his job and enjoys it. This is a fine, insightful novel exploring the impact of finding love afar and dealing with the distance – and Jerry makes it works very well.
This book is so different from Jerry’s other books. It is about family, fried-ship and love. Ben and Ryan meet and find, that they have strong feelings for each other. The only problem is, that Ben has to go home after his assignment is done. This starts of a long distance romance and both of them are determined to make it work. This beautifully written story kept me up all night. I absolutely loved the book.
I read a complimentary advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
Sometimes, I found a book that not only is good but helped to make my day better just by reading it. This book is like that. A really sweet love story, in which I could find many amazing characters that found their forever after some angst situations that solved aided by the love they have for each other. A great reading!! I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
I stopped reading at their third encounter when they were *buying a house*. The story overall was not a bad one, but the writing needed some serious checking, as well as some plot points. And it was extremely fast-paced, as in, as I said before, by the third time the main characters saw each other, they were buying a freaking house together. The synopsis had great potential, though
This story was smooth and sweet. The characters draw the reader in and the building of the relationships was solid enough to care about and follow through with. I felt the connection and would say it was warm and caring.
Another great book by Jerry Cole. I absolutely loved Ryan and Ben and I didn't want their story to end. A bonus love story with Leo and Jamie was great too. Loved it!
