Layla There’s a new shop opening next door, and I can’t stop thinking about the bearded, inked owner with the rough hands. One look and my lady cookie melts. But his noisy renovation work is scaring off my clientele.
Can I keep my customers, my heart, and my virginity? Or will I give it all up just to feel those rough hands on me?
Kane I’ve got two weeks to renovate my new shop and get my business out of the red or it’s going to fold. Not even the sassy café owner with the tempting curves and freshly baked goods is going to stop me. But just one taste of her cookies and I’m craving more.
Can I save my business, save my heart, and get my hands on those curves, or will she shut me down?
Curvy Girls Can are short, sweet and steamy insta-love stories about women with big curves, big attitudes, and big dreams and the alpha men who are man enough to love them.
High heat, oh so sweet, and always with a happily ever after. Each book in the series is a standalone. No cliffhangers.
Banter and more Banter between Layla and new next door neighbor Kane when be sets up shop. Layla is annoyed with all the nose he's making that are annoying her customers for 2.5 seconds when they spot him working without a shirt lol.
As for Kane he has a deadline even if he wants to spend time with the sassy next door neighbor. But that doesnt stop him from little breaks for cookies and coffee ;)
No ow/om drama, no cheating, sexy times, Virgin gal and no manwhore

1.25 stars The whole low self esteem plus size girl act is gross, old and over played and I really hate it. First of all your a boss babe act like it! And also as a plus size girl it makes me feel down on myself when I gotta read this crap. The romance part just kinda happens outta no where. And the epilogue the daughter had 2 different names! Is it supposed to be Nikki or grace? Ugh so annoying. The only saving grace was the cute old lady and adorable cat.

Layla owns a reading cafe, and bakes goodies for her patrons. Kane is a woodworker, renovating the space next door for his shop, and the noise is scaring away her customers. Until he begins working without a shirt. He invites her to his grand opening, and a misunderstanding has her ducking out early, before they have a real opportunity to talk. It's nice to see the female character in the lead in this new series. Layla is strong and beautiful, a successful business owner, but she has self-doubts about her appearance. Kane is the hot hunk, so patient with her until she realizes that he's serious. Their happy ending is so sweet!

Layla owns a reading cafe, and I must say, I love that idea! Kane is opening a shop right next door to hers. She's feisty and sassy and sweet and innocent. He's a blue collar alpha, complete with rough hands, tattoos, a burly beard, and a need for order. They initially clash, as he's remodeling his shop space, which is quite loud. But day by day, Kane wins Layla over. And at his grand opening, Kane makes his feelings known. Low on drama, sweet and sexy, this fast story is well worth reading more than once!

Romance genre: insta-love Series: Curvy Girls Can Length: 42 pages
Plot: Layla runs a cafe that specializes in quiet - people go there to read their books. Then the noise starts up. She goes to complain to the shop next door, and it turns out that hot shop owner Kane is renovating his space. What's a girl to do when he takes off his shirt and distracts all of her customers?
Commentary: Kane knows what he wants, and he wants Layla. Even though she turns him down at first, he is confident enough to keep coming at her until she gives in (not in a creepy way - he just made her see that they could be good together). You could say that her customers had something to do with it though - thirsty, thirsty old women staring at the shirtless Kane!
A sexy but very noisy neighbor is bad for business but good for her heart
Layla is the first book in the Curvy Girls Can series by Sadie King. This is a cute, sweet and sexy story about Layla and Kane. These two are real opposite but yet when it comes down to their cores they fit together nicely. For a short story there is still a build up to them getting together as move from really disliking each other to can't get enough of each other. This is a great story to kick start this new series off with. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

Sadie hooked me with this one; a cafe with book readers and bookclubs and cookies! Toss in a muscled hunk who does woodworking with his hands and I was in overload.
This was a short and steamy story of two storefront neighbors with off the charts chemistry.
Throw in some sassy seniors, a cafe cat and a steamy romp or two and I left this book a happy lady.
Hes starting up a new place and doing all the work himself. His hammering is bothering her customers and she trys to work out a compromise. Then he started to come in every day for coffee and a cookie and flirting with the old ladies.. He said he would try till one day hes working outside without a shirt....lol all the ladies just stare at him...hes a very handsome devil . The night of his grand opening , hurt feelings and they work thing out.
Quirky side characters, a yummy guy next door opening a new shop, and Layla is loving the eye candy he's providing. So are the old ladies in the book club. Watching out the store front. I loved how they both skirt around the attraction they both feel, but misread why they haven't dated yet. I loved that Kane finally takes it upon himself to show her, exactly how he feels about her. Great HEA ending.
A fantastic, well developed, funny, witty, passionate, and engaging book one in the Curvy Girls Can series. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is instant and sweet. Definitely recommended.

Kayla owns a reading cafe where you can have a Hot drink, some cookies, and read in peace and quiet. Sounds heavenly. Kane buys the shop next door and makes a lot of noise. She confronts him and he likes what he sees. They play a bit of a flirt game, but she doesn't think he serious. Don't worry there is a lovely happily ever after.

Layla and Kane become next door neighbors when we buys the shop next to her cafe. When she comes stomping to his shop he can't help the feelings she stirs in him and knows he wants more of her.
The quiet of Laura's reading cafe is interrupted one day by loud hammering next door when she goes to confront het.new neighbor she is greeted by sexy craftsman Kane. One look.and Kane is.hooked he just has to convince Layla in this sweet tale.
Holy hotness!! What a great, hot, quick read!! Initially Layla and Kane rub each other up the wrong way but Kane enjoys the sass she throws at him and sparks fly!! Loved this!!
This Author sure knows what they are doing. Great characters, great storyline. A quick and easy read was just what I was looking for. The steamy romance was a wonderful read.
I am glad this book doesn't have the usual rigmarole of the couple not talking to each other or one of them leaving just to come back. I enjoyed the banter and the insta love.
