PART I
When an old friend is discovered dead at a local ravine, Kat’s orderly life slowly starts to unravel. Her friend, Katie, had been involved with a rough crowd. The local authorities are calling her death an accident, or suicide. But Kat’s father is a local cop and has his doubts. When Katie’s body is suddenly taken by an unknown government agency, Kat knows that something bigger is at play, and is determined to find out what actually happened to her friend.

PART II
It is five years since Evie’s best friend mysteriously disappeared, leaving her family and friends devastated. Evie has tried to move on with her life. She is about to have her very first art exhibition, in a fancy city gallery. She has already sold three paintings, and her future looks bright. Until she walks home after the show, and suddenly, her life changes in a way that she could never have imagined.

PART III
It has been three years since Chloe Campbell’s life imploded. Ever since she helped the mysterious Nate free a friend from the psychiatric hospital. Now Chloe is back home, living with her parents in the suburbs. Chloe is restless, bored, and has no idea what path her life will take. Until she gets a desperate video from Nate, claiming he is on another world, imploring her to help him...again.

PART IV
Hannah Palmer no longer knows where she fits into the world. Her parents are dead, and her sister has been missing for years. An ER doctor in New York City, Hannah is used to being independent and alone. At work, she can put all of the pain of her past behind her. But the nightmare she has been having ever since her parents died in a car crash won’t leave her alone. Nor the sceptre of the woman that she once called sister, who she now knows is not from this world…

PART V
Adah’s life is harsh. Growing up in a slave camp, every day stretches before her the same as the last. The guardians who rule her life are relentlessly cruel. The only joy in her life is her beloved foster mother, Beulah, who every night tells her the same bedtime story. A story of a land faraway, in time and place, where the Jewel and the Raven battle for supremacy. A story with no end, that is yet to be written.

But Adah’s life changes drastically with the revelations Beulah tells her on her deathbed. The revelation of who her real parents were, and what they did to keep her safe. The revelation of who she really is, and what her destiny is. That the bedtime story was not a fairy tale, but a history of two worlds, and what was done to them. And that she is the Hope, who can change it all…if she can find the Raven and destroy him.
