Pregnant and disgraced, soap opera star Laura Munro's life is in shambles.

After ten years of working her butt off in TV and movies, a rage-filled incident with an intrusive paparazzo threatens not only her career, but her dreams of becoming a documentary filmmaker. Hoping people will forget, Laura takes leave from her soap opera role and escapes to the small Catskill Mountain town of Love Falls. The public needs a break from her, and she needs a safe place to have her baby.

She just didn't expect that "safe place" to be on the side of a deserted mountain road.

Dylan Wilson exists only to help others.

Three years ago, a car accident stole Dylan's wife and her joy. Her job as a 9-1-1 operator is the only thing that drags her out of bed in the morning. When she meets Laura, she feels a spark of something she hasn't in years. And later, when she responds to Laura's emergency call, that spark fans into a flame she can't resist reaching for.

Dylan knows all too well the pain of loss. Falling for Laura, someone who doesn't belong in her small-town world or her small-town life, could be a sure path to heartache. But despite her misgivings, she flutters to Laura's luminescence, unable to turn away.

Has Dylan found the one who will burn her to cinders or the one who can finally melt the ice around her heart?

Don't miss the sexy, sensual, joyous first novel in the Catskill Crew lesbian romance series, complete with a progressive and artistic small town, fun side characters, and a deep romance that will tick all your boxes.

Kindle Unlimited read. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and it's host of characters and I am looking forward to the next in the series.

There is some emotional angst, but it is played out realistically.

The couple actually end up communicating well despite a few bumps, which those still felt relatable to me and not drama for the sake of it.
One of our couple also seeks therapy for her issues.

I appreciate a book that doesn't just think love automatically equals a perfect relationship. I felt like we really got to know our couple in the midst of the relationship and beyond for a strong foundation of their Happily Ever After.

It maintained an appropriate amount of drama and tension for the relationship to blossom and for the characters to grow and connect.

So if you're into that, give it a go!

My friend lent me this book and to be honest.. I didn’t really like it.

The characters aren’t necessarily bad characters but they’re written in such a simple way that you don’t really get a grasp of them. The author did not do a good job at developing her characters in my opinion. They were just really… boring?

It could also just be me but I’m getting so tired and bored with the whole guilty widow (is there a word for the lesbian version of this?) plot. Maybe if this book had brought something special to it I would’ve liked it more.

I didn’t really like the main pairing together- they just didn’t click for me. Laura is too selfish and kind of all over the place with where she wants to be in life and Dylan is just too… GUILTY and a bit of a coward.

Too cliche, plain writing and nothing really special.

But remember what I always say, what may not be for me could totally be for you.

It's hard to get into a book when you just don't like / can't connect with the MC (Laura). She just didn't rock my boat and I didn't trust her. The other MC (Dylan) was a star so I had to double blink to see the two together. Sad, really.

I absolutely loved this book! I can’t remember the last time I stayed up until 5:00am reading a book. I could not put it down. The characters, storyline, and the romance were so well written. This book goes down as one of my top five favorites. You will not regret reading it! I am looking forward to reading book 2 when it is released.

A book about two people who fall in love. They are very different people coming from very different backgrounds. They have both come out of their relationships and our worry of getting into another one. Laura is an actress who has been attacked by a paparazzi and is violent towards some

An actress who wanted to be a journalist.

A lot of words, two ladies in love, a love that did not feel strong and was doubtful until the end.

Sweet romance

It was a really cute story. I loved the growth of the main characters, and the build up of the romance. I’ll be reading more from this author.

Enjoyable and different!

Laura is a pregnant and disgraced soap opera star who high-tails it out of the big city to seek refuge in the small Catskill Mountain town of Love Falls. Although Dylan, a 911 operator, loves to help everyone in her town, she cannot get back her spark, or joy of life, since her wife died in a car accident three years prior.

I loved the budding relationship between the main characters and enjoyed the cast of supporting characters very much, especially Skylar. I relished the honesty and truth she brought to the friendship, as well as the humor.

Anna Cove's descriptive writing sucked me right into the pathways of the leading ladies. What Laura went through on the mountain ride to her cabin made her a hero in my eyes. Wowie! And, although Dylan was a passionate, fierce and faithful friend, I could really feel her heightened senses and emotional pain throughout the book. Great writing, Anna!

Also, I enjoyed the shout-out you have to Cara Malone's wonderful book, The Beginning of Everything. I think you two should co-write another book together. You're a dynamic and funny team.

I really enjoyed Melt My Heart and eagerly await Skylar's story next!

I had to stop reading at chapter 8 because the dialogue was so unbelievable. Each situation was getting more and more absurd.

I was as excited to read Anna Cove’s new book, Melt My Heart!, as she seemed to be to complete it. The characters she created in this first in a new series featuring the Love Falls community, nestled in the Adirondack Mountains, were immediately brought to life with just the right balance of bold stereotypes, witty sarcasm, and a full dose of broken spirits. While this is the longest book this author has penned to date, I think she has more to say about these characters she loves and I know that longer books are in the future to capture all the nuances and depth of characterization she knows and feels for them.
Many books in this genre seem to follow a predictable formula and the “moments” characters share become predictable. This novel still shared much of these expected moments and mixed it with a bit more volatility and some unexpected moments too. As a first in a series, the author has created secondary characters who are developed just enough to show interesting back stories and unexpected moments that make the next books enticing.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and am disappointed I will have to wait to discover more about Colleen and Kell who have an interesting story to explore the challenges of family acceptance along with Jo and Olivia. Where Skylar’s gift will take others in the community as well as her own relationships. The whole crew team affords areas for growth in this burgeoning series and I for one am looking forward to making new friends!

This was a story that grew on me as I read it. It is set in Love Falls - surely a perfect name for a setting in a romance book!
Laura - a pregnant soap star with a reputation for trouble rents a cabin in Love Falls to live and give birth in - trying to keep a low profile.
Dylan is a 911 operator, youth club volunteer and all round good egg. But she does not do people. And having lost her wife she certainly doesn't do relationships.
Needless to say their paths crossed. Dylan was the 911 operator when Laura went into labour and fell.

There is a lot of story between there and the end of the book.
There is a lot of processing of grief, fun and romance mixed in with the usual misunderstandings and lack of communication .

There is no epilogue but the last chapter is set 1 year later than the rest of the story which shows them progressing in life and love.

I enjoyed this.

Laura Munro is lying low both due to her pregnancy and her temper. Dylan works as a small town 911 operator in Love Falls and is getting burnt out.

When Laura ends up going into labor in her car, Dylan talks her through it while guiding a ambulance to her. After a few days, Dylan sneaks into the hospital to check on her... and Laura thinks she's a intruder and attacks her with a water pitcher. Oops.

The two become friends, then Laura gradually falls for Dylan, who is waryvof falling for a actress. Worse, there's what might happen once Laura goes back to work.

Good, but kind of mid. Didn't blow me away at all. 3 out of 5 stars.

I liked it.

I enjoyed this book. The romantic leads were developed slowly and carefully enough that I did not feel like they saw each other across a crowded room and leaped into the nearest supply closet to consummate their burning hot pyre . . . er . . . desire. I liked that the protagonists did
not get together sexually until after the first third (half?) of the book. I also enjoyed meeting other characters from the town. And my most favourite parts: HEA and no cliffhanger!!!!

I read this book in under 48 hours. The story kept my attention, with the bits of humor, drama, emotion, and intense written chemistry between the two characters. Although the relationship between Laura and Dylan seemed to develop quickly, I liked how they each had her own issues to deal with. The conflicts seemed to be resolved relatively easily (I am not sure how Laura got over her anger issues so fast, and then apparently a little bit of therapy for Dylan went a long way?) but I am glad there were roadblocks.

Two ladies but with problems of their own meet each other in a unusually circumstances. A 911 widowed operator and the other trying to manage her phone on the side of a mountain while delivering her baby. The mother known in Hollywood has a bad bedside manner in dealing with people. Case in in point she knocks out the 911 operator when she comes to visit at the hospital. So leads the story, albeit weird start leads both needing each other to overcome each other fears. Enjoy!

It is average

It is good read in bits like somewhere it gets good somewhere it felt like lost its essence.
The laura is B grade celebrity pregnant lost in life and holding by a thread on her career and Dylan is a 911 emergency operator who has lost dear one in past both are lost trying to find life with each other. Cocept was good so much potential but it is a swing and miss for me.

It's a silly thing, but I grew up just outside the Catskills and reading about Rondout, and Overlook Mountain... remembering Route 209, the Hudson, weekends in the city... even Albany made this such a special read. I loved the chaos and enjoyed the forests. These two hot-headed women made an interesting pair- learning curves were plentiful, but enjoyed the HEA. Very excited to finish the trilogy:)

As in a lot of romance novel the caracter talk about beeing interested into each other really fast, when in reality they dont know a lot of each other appart for some interaction and physicality, for me its a problem, I would have like them to interact more before the kissing start to happen, appart from that I really liked the caracters, the story and the way it is written, its a good book and i recommand reading it

Loved this book about a troubled, pregnant soap star who moves to a small town to escape the media attention.
There she meets a grieving 911 operator who is definitely not looking for love. Sparks fly.
Really good leading characters and an interesting plot to keep you reading right to the end. Would highly recommend.

I always enjoy Cove's books and this one did not disappoint. An interesting story line that's not too angsty. These two women are easy to pull for and like. I read this one in one sitting and loved it. The other characters are great, too and I can't wait to see how this series progresses. I received this as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.

Dylan's overwhelming grief and Laura's escape from her acting life create an exciting read and a slow moving (kinda) romance. Secondary characters, Skylar, the hilarious Mayor Kells, and the folks of Love Falls have stories to tell and I await to see those stories in subsequent books in this series.

Romance done right. No false angst, no weird hold-ups to try to make the relationship more interesting. It moved at such a good pace, and there was a relatively even push and pull between them as they tried to figure out what they could be. Their chemistry was very good, although, I definitely enjoyed Lauren more as a character than Dylan. Enjoyed very much and will read the sequel!

A very good and readable romance between two women. Dylan is a 911 caller who helps Laura (a disgraced tv celebrity) give birth in a car on the side of mountain road. I liked this book dealt with the issue of grief and how you can find love after losing a spouse. Both the MC and supporting characters were well written and fully formed. The plot was nicely paced too.

Sweet Romance

Dylan is a 911 operator and a volunteer with a gay youth group. She lost her wife three years ago and hasn’t recovered. Laura is a soap opera star hiding in a small town while she has her baby. Will their hearts heal when they connect with each other? Start of a great series.

Perfect title

The title was perfect, Laura was able to get right into to Dylan's heart and her head.

Neither one of them saw the other one coming and the feelings they felt for each other were so powerful they prevented them from straying to far from what was important, thier newly formed family.

A great starter book for this series. A difficult subject matter of falling in love after your partner has died and all the grief and guilt that go with that. As always Anna Cove writes sensitively and knowledgeabley about all the characters in the book and sucks you right in so you feel you are a part of the community she is building here.

Two different characters, one goal

Interesting characters and background. As you read and learn the how, when and why of the characters you realise you're wanting them to make it, and to make it together. You're hoping for their happily-ever-after.

This was a sweet romance with likeable characters - I particularly liked Dylan - and a fun setting. I enjoyed watching the characters grow and the backing cast of characters were great too, especially Kell. A lovely domestic book, perfect if you're looking for a feel good read.
