A good overview of the sensory therapy. The crux is to identify which case is it though, and this is dealt with terribly quickly (just a few paragraphs). If you know what is the case though, you’ll be provided with long lists of exercises that can be used to address the needs of a child.
One thing that comes to mind when going through pages is how modern civilization deprived our children of usual stimuli. Jumping, eating in a funny way. Some of the exercises look like a regular life of a child.
I picked this book up because I have sensory processing issues myself, and I was curious how it can be treated in children. This ended up being more of a manual for people who work with children rather than a nonfiction book, so I didn't read the whole thing. But it's very nicely designed, laid out, and has some interesting activities.

This book was really great. Briefly explains each type of SPD. Also, she explains the OT’s role in healing and to work a long side your child’s OT. This book gave me really good things to bring up to my child’s OT. The second part of the book is filled with easy at home activities. Highly recommend this book!
