A collection of touching short stories from Hayane Dento

Hmm, this really puts me in a love-hate relationship with this manga.
I’m annoyed that it’s an anthology, but at the same time, I love it because every story in it is so enjoyable to read. I like all of them, and that almost never happens. Honestly, I’d love to read full-length versions of each story in this anthology.
I have mixed feelings about this one. The first story, Fragment of a Flower, had a good premise, but wasn't long enough to actually make me care for the characters. Also, it just kind of ended. I was expecting there to be more story, since it was just starting to really get into the emotional stuff, but then it just ended. The second story, The Calm Sea Behind the Door, was fine. It was a oneshot and there wasn't a whole lot to it. The third story, Dining Table of Liars, was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the characters at the start, but it actually ended up being kinda cute. The final story, The Road Back to the Paddy Fields, was amazing! The story was just so sad and beautiful. The first 3 stories were fine, I wouldn't recommend them, but I wouldn't discourage you from reading them either. And I highly recommend the final story, definitely give it a read!
I typically avoid anthologies, since they never really work out with me. There are three completed stories, The first story is so delicately written, you feel vulnerable with the characters even in the limited time span you have with them. I have to say that the first one really was my favorite and the followed up short stories couldn’t compare to it at all …so it actually took the fun for the rest of this manga away from me. I don’t say they were bad but the frost story just put my expectations too high.
This has got 神率 of 55.9% on Chil-Chil. Overall 4-5⭐️
This is Hayane Dentou sensei’s debut BL manga, a compilation of four short stories. I gotta say this artist is pretty talented, with original ideas and distinctive drawing style. She likes to play with the concept of time, such as memories from distant past and reunion after a long period of time.
I bought this book solely because of the last story! Highly recommended!

This story reminds me a bit of 小松‘s それから、君を考える, but with a happy ending!
