And then, there was one…

Jack is happy to see his two older brothers mated and settled in Grizzly Cove, but he’s definitely the odd man out—the lone bachelor of their tight-knit family. He takes a job and a mission to track down the problems at a paper plant in Pennsylvania. There’s magic afoot there, and Jack’s special sensitivity to the dark arts will help him crack the case where others have failed.

She’s a practical girl…

Kiki is trying to adjust to her new job, but when she stumbles on something that sets her senses tingling in warning, she doesn’t know where to turn…or, who to trust. Her down-home upbringing in the traditions of the farm folk of the area, she knows simple ways to protect herself from evil, but will it be enough?

Together, can they shine a light against the darkness?

The new guy from corporate is altogether too handsome for Kiki’s peace of mind, and he actually seems interested in her. Dare she trust him? Jack isn’t sure about anyone at the plant, but something about Kiki makes him want to believe in her innocence. When her life is put in mortal peril, they will have to work together to end the evil threat and save not only their own lives, but that of nearly every person who works in the plant. Can they do it? Or, will the darkness win and douse their light forevermore?

I love reading Bianca D'Arc stories and I love all of the Tales of the Were. Black Magic Bear is one of her best IMO. I love how the relationship between Jack and Mimi unfolded, and how Mimi gained so much confidence in herself through the love and respect and admiration Jack always showed her about her abilities.

So looking forward to reading Purfect; the next in line of the series.

OHHH!!! so many surprises in this book!!! 🤩

Thank you for bringing back a few of old book characters!!!!!😍

Harper Sagtikos 😍even if only by phone call with Jack... ”

“I was Gus’s teacher, though I still have much to learn myself,” the powerful voice replied. ”

Excerpt From: Bianca D'Arc. “Black Magic Bear: Tales of the Were (Grizzly Cove Book 16).”

ALSO, BEN STEEL !!!! 🥰 it was a wonderful surprise !!! or Arch.😁.. I am so glad to see that old wolf better now after that awful black magic....to meet another branch of Llewelyn clan... 🥳 and I really hope to have a book of Helen and Jim.. 🤗”

“When Kiki looked at Jim as she spoke his name, she realized the younger man seemed a bit dazed as he stared at Helen. A shaft of moonlight cut through the night sky at that moment, pouring down on Jim and Helen, though neither seemed to notice. Kiki saw it, though, and she realized there might just be a connection there.”

Love your books

I love everyone of your books. Can’t seem to put them down, just wished they were longer and ended with more of a conclusion. For instance why wasn’t it ended as to where jack and Kiki moved to live? I would have loved them bringing in fey to help build her a garden where ever they moved? You even seem to put Jim and Helen together in the book yet the next book you write isn’t about them it goes into a different story line. I would eventually like to hear one of these were’s, mer, witch’s pregnant and bringing a child into the book that helps fight off the evil. Also your writing these books is there a order to them like do you need to start in a different series before you start Grizzly Cove book 1. Then go into book 1 of another series to make these books seems better fits?

Jack was on his own, essentially. The youngest brother bear of the three.

Jack had arrived in Grizzly Cove to meet his new sisters in law. He was friends with Ezra, who luckily had a job for him. There was something going on in Pennsylvania at one of there plants. There’s magic afoot there, and Jack’s special sensitivity to the dark arts is perfect.
Kiki is trying to adjust to her new job, but when she stumbles on something that sets her senses tingling in warning, she doesn’t know where to turn…or, who to trust. When a corporate guy from the company came to investigate things, Kiki was instantly attracted to him. Fate was at play here to see them get together. Dark magic is powerful, but there attraction is off the charts too.

This is a very well written story of a slightly magical woman named Kiki and her huge bear of a mate named Jack. Jack is hired to find out what is going on at a company owned by friends back in Grizzly Cove. They suspect evil magic. As soon as Jack entered the company, he immediately felt the evil magic then he met Kiki and he knew she was working on the side of good. He took her into his confidence pretty quickly and she was a wealth of information but, unfortunately, it was all evil. There's lots of action and some very unusual goings on. It wasn't long before Jack felt Kiki might be his mate and Kiki started to have strong feelings for Jack. They worked well together in fighting the evil black magic. The ending is wonderful and happy for Kiki and Jack.

Loved it!

I’ve been dying for Jacks addition you the series and this book did NOT disappoint! There was plenty of action and unexpected twists to keep the story interesting, and I REALLY liked Jack. Kiki seemed a bit plain to me, though I think that was intentional. There was a lot of reiteration on events in previous stories, and reintroductions of previous characters that made the story slow down in places, but I feel it was necessary to improve this story.

Black Magic Bear

Wow! This book was so exciting to read. Jack, who is a grizzly shifter, is sent to investigate the company owned by the mer who live in Grizzly Cove to see what is going on. He meets Kiki who is new to the company and who has begun to feel something is not right. Sparks fly, danger lurks in the shadows and dark witchcraft is causing havoc to the humans caught under an evil potion. This was another awesome book in this series. I loved it.

As usual, Ms. D'Arc did again. Admittedly, the books are predictable in some respects, but the surprises that poo up are significant and keep you addicted. The tie-ins with other stories and characters are superb! The story is wonderful and keeps you invested. The love is always perfect and the steamy parts too! Get your copy too!!!

Bianca D'Arc

I love this entire series. I have read several series written by this author, and I have never been disappointed. She has great characters, story lines, and exceptional steamy love stories. If only they were true could it be better. If you read your first series you'll be a loyal fan of her books.

Great read

This was a great read. Jack is a bear with a protective spirit that gets even more fierce when he meets his mate. Kiki considers herself to be not worthy in the eyes of her family. These two work together to defeat evil and find love.

This story isn't centered in Grizzly Cove. However, it has all of the dynamics of a wonderful D'Arc story. Once I started, I couldn't stop reading.

Jack finds his mate

This was a really good story, with characters from earlier tales helping out and providing background but it is also good as a stand alone. I'll try to avoid spoilers, but Jack goes out as a troubleshooter to a plant in PA. Kiki is fairly new there, raised in a family with magic but she's not got real power of her own. She does have a strong background in traditions and rituals, but went off to college and didn't want to return to the family farm, near the Amish community where her grandparents once belonged.

Kiki has no idea shifters exist so Jack has to go slower with her, but together they will manage to defeat evil, with human Ben Steel coming in to aid, as well as other family showing up.

I really liked the garden, with connections to extended family, and the extended mission John Marshall's group accepts. I highly recommend this one.

I loved it! A great addition to the story and the three brothers' storyline. I loved seeing the old characters and meeting new ones - can't wait for their stories! The plot itself moved forward smoothly, with a nice build-up, though I expected a bit more action.

Likeable characters and a satisfying story. Happy to see another bear get a happy ending. Glad there was enough chapters after the big battle to deal with all of the fallout and wrap up the story. It puts the happy into the ending for me.
