Schooled by the harshness of Djaromir, Warlord Sparx of Fyeir believes women to be a distraction he can’t—and won’t—allow himself. His focus needs to be on the city he rules and their progress into the future, not on coddling a sensitive human female. As warlord, he’ll do his duty and help match his men to their future brides but has no intent in joining their happily mated ranks. Then, he sees Lucy.
One glance at the sweet little female and his fate is sealed—whether he wants it to be or not. Burning with the need to claim his tempting mate, Sparx tries to hold strong but can't resist his powerful attraction to the newly arrived, fragile female. He can only hope the risk is worth it in the end.
Nicknamed “Lucy Goosey” for her tendency to wreak havoc in almost any situation, Lucy had begun to wonder if her streak of unfortunate catastrophes would ever end. Unlucky at literally everything, she knew a change was needed if she’d ever get what she wanted out of life.
Crossing her fingers that Earth was the jinx, Lucy and her best friend take a leap of faith and catch a ride to the distant mining planet advertising for mates. She knew it sounded absolutely bonkers, but she’d give just about anything for a chance to have what seemed to only happen in romance novels. Considering the chaos that normally follows her around, she’s holding her breath in hopes that maybe this time will be different.
On the harsh world of Djaromir, surrounded by dangers at literally every step, is it possible that Lucy can feel safe being her normally clumsy self? Will she find her happily-ever-after in the massive arms of the imposing Warlord or will her bad luck mean a one-way ticket home?

A sucker for dirty talk, both the sexy kind and the type that leads to the discovery of new curse words, Leora catches all the craziness in her head on the cracked screen of her laptop. Squeezed into a small workspace in her Florida garage, this author uses her imagination *and cannabis* to explore the worlds she has created.
Her work has been praised extensively by her mother—who pinky promised to read the sexy parts with her eyes closed—and ignored by the rest of her family. Some critics have made compelling statements about her work such as “foul mouthed woman” and “nothing more than porn”. When asked for a comment regarding those reviews, the author’s answer was, “f$&% yeah!” with an enthusiastic nod and accompanying finger guns shooting in the air.

Cute and sweet. I'm enjoying this series because they're quick short little reads, light hearted, and many times the author's sense of humor has me snickering.
Big shout out for the King of the Hill nugget in this. "I don't know you. That's my purse!" is one of my favorite episodes of all time. Bobby Hill's nut kicking bonanza. So freakin' funny!!
This second installment in the series had my plus sized heart so happy!
We have a female lead who is clearly plus sized, and was called a fatty by one of the other women in the party arriving on Djaromir. Sparx however, gives her the nickname Tiny, and loves everything about her. This romance is the kind of plus sized rep I loved to see. You see her learn to love herself through his love, and it made my heart so very happy.
Leora Gonzales writes the best insta-love, fated mate, spice-fests out there. If you don't agree, well, you're entitled to your opinion, but you're wrong. Fight me.
Sparx and Lucy are fantastic. I can totally relate to Lucy's clumsy nature, as I too trip over nothing often. Off to read the next one!!
Hot aliens, soul mates and hot sex. This tale is sure to please. Lucy and Sparx make a great couple. It warms your heart to see them get their happily ever after.
Great read that continues the stories that began when Phaeton brides were kidnapped and then rescued by the Djaromir miners. I am enjoying this continuation of their story and also that of the Phaeton Warrior brides.
I so loved this book and can’t wait for the next book! Sparx and Lucy were awesome but then you add in the bff Rue laugh out loud hilarious! Can’t wait for Matrix and Rues story! So love this series!
This was a fun read. Lucy and Rue are hilarious. Everyone needs a bestie like Rue!
I was worried about Tabitha. I thought that she would cause trouble for Lucy and Sparx's relationship. I was happy that he only saw Lucy, even before he accepted the fact that she was his mate.
Matrix and Rue's story should be great. I'll be watching for it to be released.
I hope that we learn what happened with Jamie and even evil Tabitha. I'm also curious about who Colby mated.
