AW Hart – Gunslinger Bk 7 - Killer’s Ghost – Reviewed 6/11/20 – Read 6/10-11/20
Must save Abby, she is so sick, burning with fever, we need to get her to a doctor….

When Abby gets so sick with fever she cannot stay on her horse, Conner holds her on his. Hicks heads them to the closest town of Bishop Falls looking for a doctor. When they arrive, they are confronted with the mayor of the town Reginald MacArthur, who tells them the doctor is up at the mining camp. The doctor has been fighting a fever outbreak and the people are terrified of it happening again. The last one took the lives of many of the folks.

On the way up the trail to the camp, above them, they hear a commotion, then a body falls on the road. It has been crushed and torn apart. Continuing to the camp they locate the doctor, but he is unsure what is wrong with Abby. The doctor tells them about the recent murders that some are saying are the result of a monster-sized, ghost-like, being that is part of an Indian legend. And now the story begins….

What did I like? As always, I am fascinated with the two series that Wolfpack has put together under the name of AW Hart. These authors are just incredible in the way that they pen the ongoing stories. Each so different and yet so much alike. Adding the torment of being twins was ingenious, Conner cannot bear to see Abby sick, and the thought of her death is tearing him apart.

What will you like? Incredible action, intense mystery, romance, and legends all lead to the danger the boys are drawn into. The intricate mystery, the tyrannical mayor leading the town, the brutal killings and crushed bodies make them believe that it is not a legend, but that someone is responsible for everything that has happened! All roads point to the mayor of the town. Excellent read and another great to add to your Western library.

Another Marshal story!!!

If you haven't read this series, you need to start with book one and read the entire series. Each book in the series is a better story as it's previous one.

Not as good as it could be.

Again the author used grammar for the un educated westerners that was not authentic to the setting. How could they think words they couldn't have known? It spoiled the story.

Slow moving at times, and the ending was sort of bazaar. Not the kind of book I usually read. The only reason I didn't put the book down is that I wanted to see who the girl finally selected.
