I suggest reading the Salvation Series by Corinne Michaels before reading books in the Society, but it is not a requirement.

Desolation is a standalone book set in The Salvation Society series and tells the story of Mari and Landon.

 

Desolation was such a good Romance read and I really enjoyed reading Mari and Landon’s story. I also really liked a bit about Ryder again. I really loved Tori Fox’ White Creek series and Forgotten Pieces was such an emotional read. I think that Desolation also was a bit emotional because it talks about our main characters’ pain and demons, but it was also a bit suspenseful because you want to know who is Mari’s problem.

All the things that Landon’s been through, doesn’t make his life easy. I felt really bad for him. But besides that, I think he was such a great character and I couldn’t stop smiling because of him. Mari had quite a few secrets, and she was really reluctant to opening up to Landon. I’m really glad she did open up to Landon because they’re just so cute together!

Desolation was a good and enjoyable Romance read. I was having some troubles with a reading slump and because of that, it took me a few days to finish Desolation. I think that if I wasn’t having a reading slump, I would’ve finished this book sooner!

I was hooked from page 1. Mari and Landon shouldn't want each other. Both are in very different places in their life, and both fighting battles both on the outside and inside. But the spark they have around each other can't be ignored. The heat is off the charts, the suspense keeps you turning the page and the swoon moments make your heart melt. Also, if you are a fan of the Salvation Society, plenty of your favorites make appearances to take you back to the world of Cole Security.

Tori Fox did a fabulous job writing in Corinne Michael’s Salvation World. Mari and Landon had found a connection, initially with attraction but became so much more despite all the obstacles keeping them apart. Desolation had me needing to know all the things. I enjoyed this pair and seeing characters from the Salvation World.

Landon and Mari have a connection they can't seem to break, but she has secrets and it will take Landon fighting tooth and nail to discover it. When her life becomes in danger can they find out the truth before it costs her, her life? And can you find love when you least expect it?

HOLY HELL Desolation was a fantastic story. We all know secrets don't make friends, but they definitely add something heartracing to our stories, and Mari has quite a few secrets of the dangerous variety. Landon has had some devastating things happen to him which had him building walls in steel & until Mari, no one has even been able to put a dent in them. His demons are vicious which had my eyes springing a leak since the pain was palpable. These two have a powerful connection to get the sparks flying in all directions but she has things she's hiding, and he's got a tight hold on any heart thing. And to make matters even worse, danger has come for Mari so will Landon be able to keep her safe in order for a shot at a happy ever after?! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Honest arc for review . I was completely blown away by this book , in the best way possible . Tori is such a very talented author and quite frankly one of my favorites .Desolation is a great addition to the salvation society world . I was so very curious to see how Desolation Would play into the salvation world , and was pleasantly surprised .I could not help falling in love with Landon and Mari . After losing his job and best friend , Landon is all about avoiding any emotional connection . Mari , is running from her past , and the last thing on her mind just like Landon is avoiding any emotional connection.But when these 2 meet , their is no denying the off the charts chemistry or the connection they feel . , what will happen next , welll you need to read this amazing book to find out . I was hooked , devoured it fell the first page .what a wonderful addition to the salvation world .

A great addition to the Salvation Society World. Landon wants to avoid any emotional connections after he loses his job and best friend. Mari is running from her past and like Landon isn't looking for an emotional connection. Their secrets can break them, but they can also lead each other to salvation if they let them. I really enjoyed this one and the characters Tori added to the Salvation Society World.

The characters have depth and both have their own inner struggles and past hurts but together, it seemed they were meant to be. This was my first book by Tori Fox and I really enjoyed this book! If you enjoy a great female character with some sass and feistiness then you will want to meet Mari. Landon was a great alpha character and I really enjoyed the connection they had from the beginning. They both have secrets and there are elements of suspense surrounding them during this book. Desolation is a great addition to the salvation society!

I really enjoyed this story about finding love when least expected. Both Mari and London are not looking for a relationship for different reasons, but when they meet the attraction is immediate. They also have secrets and when these lead to danger, will they be able to survive it? Together?

This is on the darker side of the salvation series. Not too dark though, just right for readers in between. The mystery, secrets, and tragedy in these pages felt all too real. Landon and Mari both have travesties they've dealt with. This story is how they overcame those and let love in.
