It was just supposed to be a fling, so they agreed to no last names—a decision Mitch regretted the moment he woke up to find Tess gone. When Fate gives them another chance, they dive headlong back into their affair to find out whether there’s more than simply heat. But when Tess ends up pregnant, he’ll have the biggest fight of his life convincing her that their fling should be forever.
A Lot Like Christmas (Book 11)
Hannah's waiting tables at Wishful's Dinner Belles diner and dreaming of getting an interior design business off the ground. What better way to practice and show off her skills than with some holiday decorating? Jaded Ryan, an Army medic on leave, and his cantankerous great uncle, Percy, are desperately in need of Christmas cheer—and a referee. Can Hannah's warmth thaw these frosty hearts?
Dancing Away With My Heart (Book 12)
After a high school trauma hit like a ton of bricks, Lexi has spent years avoiding her best friend, Zach. Now she's back in town just in time for the high school reunion she never planned to attend. All she wants to do is get through this with her secret—and her heart—intact. But what if 10 years is just the right amount of time for Zach to finally get a clue?
Kait Nolan is a RITA® Award-winning Mississippi author who calls everyone sugar, honey, or darlin', and can wield a 'Bless your heart' like a Snuggie or a saber, depending on requirements. She believes in love, laughter, and that tacos are the world's most perfect food. When she's not writing, reading, working the evil day job, or wrangling family (both the two-legged and the four-), you can find her obsessively watching The Great British Bake Off.
This is a great box set of Kait Nolan’s romances. She’s an author who never disappoints. This box set includes the following books:
You Were Mean for Me First thing I want to say is would the Campbell clan please adopt me? They are amazing, supportive, and all around wonderful. Okay, on with the review.
You Were Meant for Me is another delightful entry in a charming series. This volume finds Tess Payton and Mitch Campbell paired up in Wishful. It’s sweet and hot (not too much detail there, but enough), tender and warm, and all around a book that will leave you feeling happy and protected.
Tess and Mitch do their best to keep their romance, which started in Scotland, secret from their family and friends in Wishful, until the secret gets out. Then the clan joins together to help the lovebirds work through their problems and find a way to move on together. The ending will have you laughing and crying at the same time.
My one complaint about this book is that Tess, who grew up in Colorado, sounds, in my reader’s internal ear, just as southern as any Mississippi native. It’s not a big thing, but it would occasionally pull me out of the story.
A Lot Like Christmas
My wish this coming holiday season is that I get to move to Wishful. Yup! Wishful seems like such a welcoming place that I’m ready to pack up and move. May I, please?
No? *sigh*. It’s only for the characters the author chooses? Darn! I guess I’ll need to live through them. It’s no hardship, I assure you.
Ryan Malone is home on leave from the army. His main purpose in returning stateside is to check on his Uncle Percy, an 80 year old living in his own.
Hannah Wheeler was an interior designer living in Atlanta, until she had an accident. She moved to Wishful to live with her sister, the baker, while she recovered. Now, she’s working as a waitress at Dinner Bells. When Ryan shows up outside the restaurant, looking for all the world like a homeless veteran, it touches Hannah’s heart.
That first encounter will prove the start of another Wishful romance. As with all the Wishful pairings, Ryan and Hannah will have you cheering and jeering, pulling for them to get over their insecurities and give love a chance.
As always, you come away from this Kait Nolan Book smiling. And if we readers are lucky, there’s another couple or two presented in this volume upon which she can expand. I’m so happy I came across this series and this author. These books present a town where we’d all like to live and people we’d like to know.
Dancing Away With My Heart Lexi and Zach had been best friends in high school, at least until a major misunderstanding occurred between them. It’s now ten years later, and life brings them back together, but that misunderstanding remains stubbornly held in place. Can they overcome it? Can they find their way back to each other as friends . . . and more?
This is another lovely Wishful tale by Kait Nolan, part of an ever-growing series. This book, like the others of hers that I’ve read, has such heart. The characters are real and you empathize with them. You want to be there with them, part of their circle of friends, so you can step in and help them realize and overcome their blindness.
Lexi is artistic and stubborn, and she’s worked hard for the last decade trying to build her photography business in Texas. She’s at the point where she’s ready to open her own studio when her mother, in Wishful, has an accident. Lexi comes to her mother’s aid, and in doing so, crosses paths again with Zach. It’s an uncomfortable situation on her part, but he’s thrilled she’s back. To him, they’re still best friends. But he’s an oblivious guy and doesn’t realize that he did something that caused Lexi great pain during their senior year in high school. She’s held that hurt for all these years, and he doesn’t have a clue. He’s still there to offer help where he can, and he invites Lexi to work with him at his very successful Wishful photo studio. They’ll be thrown together more than Lexi would like, but she could use the money. Will they be able to overcome what’s hung between them for all these years? This is a Wishful: Where Hope Springs Eternal book, so I doubt it’s a spoiler to tell you that they most likely will. I mean, what else would you expect?
This book is a sweet, easy read. I could see it happening in real life, and enjoyed the way the characters eventually were able to resolve things, but not without adding more misunderstandings into the mix. Kait Nolan’s books never disappoint, and this one was a delight to read. It took minor characters from another book in the series and turned them into main characters in their own right. The ending made me laugh, in a good way. I give this book an A+. If you enjoy light and humorous romance, this might be the book for you.
This box set is definitely worthy of your time if you enjoy southern romances. I definitely enjoyed all three books and highly recommend them.
I received a free copy of this box set from the author. I appreciate her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review express my true and honest reactions to reading these books.

Wishful Romance Volume 4 is comprised of book 10-12 in the Wishful series. Love this series!
You Were Meant For Me...Tess and Mitch, meet overseas, have a hot week romance, mother’s new husband’s daughter, fate having the last laughter.
A Lot Like Christmas...Ryan and Hanna, a secret Santa, decorating a home, spreading holiday cheer and optimism and overcome their fears to find happiness.
Dancing Away With My Heart...Lexi and Zach, 10 year high school reunion with the theme from senior prom, a second chance to make it a night to remember and repair their relationship and finding a HEA.
You Were Meant For Me The author takes us back to Wishful , and it’s nosy but lovable characters. This story belongs to Tess Peyton and Mitch Campbell. They met in Scotland by chance , had a weeklong affair and on the last day, Peyton disappears. Peyton leaves with her memories and Mitch is left heartbroken. But fate interferes when back in the US, they meet again in Wishful where her father has recently married Mitch’s aunt. The surprises continue with one that will change their lives forever. I have to confess that as much as I loved Mitch, it wasn’t until almost to the end that I finally warmed up to Tess causing me not to enjoy this story as much as the others. That said, it was still a good story filled with family, small town living and two strong characters faced with life changing decisions. You Were Meant For Me Once again, the author gives us another wonderful and touching story in her Wishful Romance series. This one belongs to Delta Force medic Ryan Malone and interior designer Hannah Wheeler. Hannah moved to Wishful after an accident in Atlanta to stay with her sister. during her recovery. Doing better and hoping to restore her career, she is working as a waitress at the local cafe. When she sees through the window a man that looks like a homeless vet, she invites him in for coffee and pays for his meal. Little does she know that he just going back from overseas with the intent of checking up on an adopted elderly “uncle”. As their friendship develops Ryan’s walls begin to come down and he starts questioning his future . A reality of many deployed troops experience. The plot was engaging, the characters complex and though at times heartbreaking it was also a heartwarming story. Kudos to the author for another great story in this series. Dancing Away With My Heart Few authors are able to write novellas successfully. Ms. Nolan is one of those talented authors. The story of Lexi Morales an Zach Warren is a sweet, touching romance about lost dreams, the heartaches of young love and the possibility of second chances. It’s also a story about friendships that last a lifetime. Not only are the main characters well developed, but also the plot engaging. Though it’s a standalone, if you have read the previous stories in the series, you’ll get a chance to “visit” with them and see how they are doing. This is another winner in this series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Wishful Romance Volume 4 tells three beautiful love stories set in the backdrop of small town Wishful, Mississippi. Kait Nolan skillfully uses humor, Southern charm, community and love to craft this feel good book!
You Were Meant for Me
Who doesn’t love the thrill of a vacation romance?
For workaholic overachiever, Tess Peyton, a few days with Mitch, a hot and handsome stranger, while in Scotland is exactly what she needs: all fling, no strings, no last names! However, at the end of their interlude, both find themselves wanting more.
Back to reality…
Her dad has remarried and she is jet lagged, overwhelmed and not excited to meet his new wife and her large extended family in Mississippi. She doesn’t count on him being a member of that family!
Kait Nolan does it again! She had me cheering for a happily ever after for these two complicated yet well written lovebirds! Will they pick up where they left off? Will it be awkward? Will they find the love they’ve both been wishing for in Wishful, Mississippi?
This is a must read, all the feels, standalone romance but many beloved characters from the Wishful series appear in this story!
A Lot Like Christmas
I absolutely love this book and the way it still makes me feel good just thinking about it! It's a standalone story set in Wishful, Mississippi. Hannah is so sweet and kindhearted that she buys soup for a man she believes to be homeless. Ryan is on leave from the Army to check up on his aging Uncle Percy. Things are not quite as they seem. There is so much warmth, kindness and love radiating from this book and sparks do fly! The main characters each have personal issues to overcome and Kait weaves these so well into the story!
After reading this, I want Hannah to be my new best friend! She is so genuine and deserving of receiving the love that she puts out in the world. Percy is like that wonderful old neighbor who we all grew up with and Ryan? A true hero who takes chances with his life but not his heart!
For those of us who have read other books in Kait Nolan's Wishful series, many fun and quirky characters reappear, like the Casserole Patrol. It leaves the reader wanting more Wishful adventures!
Dancing Away With My Heart
Dancing Away With My Heart is a stand alone sweet, sentimental story that perfectly captures the angst that is teenage unrequited love. It's also another delightful visit to Wishful, complete with everything we've come to love about Kait Nolan's books: small town camaraderie, well written characters, humor and true love finding it's way through obstacles. Teen aged Lexi Morales is hopelessly in love with her best friend, Zach, who loves hanging out with her but has absolutely no idea of her feelings. He thinks she asked him to prom as a joke and she buries her feelings even deeper and laughs along with him. Everyone can see how perfect they are for each other, except of course, him. Ten years later, she comes back to town and finds that her feelings still haven't changed. Zach? Well, Zach hopes to rekindle the friendship, offers her a job opportunity and is genuinely confused as he begins to see her as something more than a friend... However, there is a golden opportunity to right a ten year old wrong. Are they both willing to take a chance on love this time? Can she fit her new self into her old dress, her old life and her new place in his heart?

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. LOVED this book. We meet Tess, business woman at the father's firm, is flying into Wishful from London to see her father Trey and his new wife Sandy. Shes happy that her father is happy but cant see past the failed marriage of her parents. Mitch, architect extraordinaire is in a funk...a bad one since returning from Scotland...and the reason is Anna...his one wk fling and now he cant sto thinking of her...esp the way she snuck out in the middle of the night. Tess is overwhelmed with her dads her new family at th family dinner but what shocks her is the laugh all too familiar and when those eyes turn towards her she is shocked. Mitch is shocked t see Anna and when she trips he jumps in to help her but the weird this is that trey calls her Tess and her calling him dad...holy crap on a cracker! Mitch is shocked in a good way....its fate that she is here! They are both still attracted to one another and when a work opportunity comes knocking its bitter sweet when Granny suggests Tess stay with mitch. They both agree to start where they left off...but at what cost...love or heartache?
We meet Hannah, an interior designer who moved to Wishful last yr after having a seizure while driving. She wants to get back into the swing of things and working at the diner is great but its not what she loves. While decorating the tree with utensils she notices a man at the window...he looks scruffy and homeless. She invites him in for a coffee and smtg to eat. Ryan is cold and grumpy but when he sees a beautiful woman decorating a tree, his interest is peaked. Elf girl has him intrigued and to think she thinks hes homeless. Hes in town to check up on his uncle percy and is on a LOA from delta force. Percy knows Ryan is there to check up on him. When Ryan opens the door he sees Elf girl...both shocked but eleated. Hannah tells percy about that she was sent to decorate his house. Percy obliges and sets things in motion. Getting percy out of the house and socializing again will be good for him. Will a dance between Ryan and hannah turn into more? Both know hes on limited time. Or will Ryan push her away..keeping himself from wanting more.
We meet photographer Lexi, who is home to help her mom after her fall. The town is full of memories..good and bad. She is hoping to stay clear of Zach...her high school bff. But while at the Grind...she hears his familiar voice. Zach cant believe his eyes...Lexi is in front of him in the flesh and at that moment he realizes how much he has missed her but she seems different. Last yr of high school she started to run from him and he didn't know how. Lexi is perplexed when zach offers her a job helping him while shes at home which she accepts. Can working together bring back their friendship? Will zach find out what happened all those years ago? Will Lexi forgive and forget?
So, this collection contains books 10 through 12 of the Wishful Romance series. They're the last ones available, but the author hinted at more coming in the note at the end of the last book though, which was just published last year, so I'm hopeful even though I'm finished with both the Wishful Romance series and the Wishing for a Hero series for now. So, before I talk about the individual books in this collection, I will add my disclaimer that there is some sex or the promise of it in all three stories, but it's more natural and less over-the-top than that of many secular romances.
Without further ado then, You Were Meant For Me is the 10th book in the Wishful Romance series, and it was a well written and sweet romance novel with good character development. This one was one of my favorites of the series, partly because the emotional twists in the plot were so heart wrenching but also because it was so great to see Mitch, the flirtatious ladies' man, finally get pleased by real love.
Next, we have the 11th book of the series, A Lot Like Christmas, which was a well written and sweet romance novella with good character development. Getting to know Hannah, the waitress at Dinner Belles, better and see her meet her match was cute. There's a lot of family Christmas fun in this story along with the emotional and steamy moments, and I really enjoyed it a lot.
Last, Dancing Away With My Heart is the 12th book of the series, and it was also a well written and sweet romance novella with good character development. I enjoyed getting to know Zach, the photographer who had had cameos in previous books, and meeting his high school best friend, Lexi, who had moved away after high school Learning their backstory and watching the tension between them was both interesting and emotionally wrenching because I really wondered if they'd get together for how dumb Zach was acting most of the time.
Anyway, I have had such a great time reading all of these wonderful romantic stories in the Wishful Romance series and the Wishing for a Hero series, and I truly hope there will be more stories set in Wishful.
You Were Meant For Me: How can a story be both sweet and hot at the same time? There are few stories that can pull off that trick, and this is one of them! It’s evident from the start that Mitch and Tess are ideal for each other, and it’s fun to see everyone in Wishful, one after the other, noticing their obvious attraction, even while they’re trying to deny it. But there are obstacles to overcome, including the barriers they put up of themselves, in their misguided attempt to do things in the “right” way. I won’t reveal how they come to their senses, but of course there’s a happily ever after! As an aside, I loved the organization in this story as well—mention of stationery had me drooling over some of my own favourite items. Also, I love the way most of the couples and important characters from previous books are all mentioned, with updates on their lives. As usual, though, any of the Wishful stories can be read as a standalone—though I can’t imagine reading only one!
A Lot Like Christmas: I’ve never watched Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel but all the small town romances set in Wishful, even the ones not set at Christmastime, have that kind of cosy feel. Not that bad stuff doesn’t happen to the characters, but the little town itself is such a wonderful community. Ryan and Hannah find their way there through no initial desire of their own, but the town captures them, even more so after they meet each other. I usually don’t read romance that often—because how many couple’s love lives can you really be invested in? -- but the community feeling of these books ensures that I’m never tired of them. Each story is a standalone, yet has references in the background to the other couples and to the same secondary characters around town; it’s fun to drop in on their lives, and always satisfies that feeling of I-want-to-see-more that you get after finishing a happily ever after romance. I can’t wait to catch a glimpse of future-Hannah-and-Ryan later on. I even want to know what happens between Percy and Betty—and Duke!
Dancing Away With My Heart: Once I’d started this story, I couldn’t put it down! I kept wondering how these two would ever break down the strong barrier of friendship they’d set up between them, to realise they could be something more. Those moments of almost kissing were breathless. I’m glad their friends were there to support them at least. And even though this story can be read as a standalone, for fans of the Wishful series, it was so lovely to be part of Tara and Jace’s wedding. A double helping of romance!
You Were Meant For Me Another book I loved. I always enjoy catching up with characters from past books, and I was able to catch up with quite a few characters. I felt bad because Mitch has always been such a flirt, but since he got back from Europe he was only moping around. His large family and friends were giving him such a bad time. Little did they know he had met the woman of his dreams. I loved it when Tess saw Mitch with her father’s new family. It was funny how they both tried to pretend they didn’t know each other. It is really hard to keep things quiet in a small town. I loved that Mitch’s grandma was the one to help the two be together without questions. I felt bad that Tess did not have a traditional family, but both parents loved her dearly. Since her and her parents were real close, she only had a portion of what happened between her two parents which colored her views. I felt bad that she didn’t think she had a good foundation for a relationship with Mitch. The two made such a good couple. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
A Lot Like Christmas
This his is a wonderful story for Christmas. I loved how upbeat Hannah is even though she has a couple of things she is struggling with. Her decorating skills sounded so wonderful. I loved how Rylan softened up some after meeting Hannah. I am sure it is hard to look on the bright side of life after being so entrenched in the fighting going on in Afghanistan. He has such a good heart to ask for time off to check on his Uncle Percy who is not blood. He and Percy have a tendency to spar a lot, but with lots of love. I loved watching Hannah and Ryan fall in love. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of the book.
Dancing Away With My Heart I just love these Wishful books. This is another great short story in the series. My heart went out to Lexi when Zach couldn’t see that Lexi wanted more than just a good friendship in high school. He made a big mistake that he didn’t even realize. She has been away for ten years, and is now home helping her mother for awhile. I loved how excited Zach was to see her. It is funny how we can let things from high school carry through to adulthood. This book touched my heart, and I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
You Were Meant For Me - My favorite book in the series so far… Tess went off plan and spent an incredible week with Mitch in Scotland. Since it started as a fling, they didn't exchange last names. When Tess meets her father's new extended family in Wishful, Mississippi, Tess is shocked to see Mitch in attendance. Mitch is thrilled to find Tess in town. Tess wants to keep their relationship secret until they know where it is going.. This is my favorite book in the series so far. Tess and Mitch are such believable characters. Tess is a strong independent woman, who doesn't understand why things don't go according to plan. Mitch is a warm caring man, who doesn't want to scare Tess away. A Lot Like Christmas - Restoring the Christmas spirit…Will Hannah's evergreen cheer thaw their frosty hearts and remind these two that the most important part of the holidays is family.. Hannah always looks at the bright side. Hannah mistakenly thinks that Ryan is a homeless vet when she spots him walking into town. Hannah's kindness to Ryan and her Christmas decorating reminds him of an elf. Hannah wants to help Ryan and his uncle Percy find the true spirit of Christmas. As Hannah and Ryan work together to help Percy, they also draw closer to each other, but their fears of loss might hold them back. This book can easily be enjoyed as a standalone, but I enjoy it more as part of the series. This book is amusing, sweet, and a little bit steamy at times. I recommend this book and series. Dancing Away With My Heart - Second chance in Wishful…When Lexi's mother breaks her ankle, Lexi has no choice but to go back to Wishful. Lexi has avoided running into Zach on her previous trips home, but now it is inevitable. Unknown to Zach, he was part of the most humiliating part of her life. With a reunion around the corner, Lexi doesn't want to revisit her high school experience. Zach being clueless drove me a little crazy but this was still a wonderful second chance romance. I highly recommend this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I love these books and this series. I highly recommend this box set. When I pick up a Wishful book, I know that I am getting a good story. All of these books can be enjoyed as a standalone, but are richer stories for being part of a series.
MItch and Tess are probably my favorite couple in Wishful, which is saying something since I have met a couple in this series I didn’t like! Beyond the surprise baby storyline, which can be hit or miss for me in general, I love the idea of two people meeting while on vacation and experiencing that instant click. For each of them, it wasn’t just a week long fling, but something meaningful that left them both sad and a bit heartbroken. I didn’t appreciate how the family treated Mitch at first, warning him off Tess like they did. They pigeonholed him into the playboy role and wouldn’t let him grow. Regarding Tess’s relationship with her parents, while their unsuccessful marriage soured her in the institution and love in general, I was happy to see the affection both had for her.
A Lot Like Christmas
Not sure if I love this book more because of the grumpy hero or the Christmas setting. Okay, it’s both of those reasons! Hannah is cheerful and perky, still recovering from some health issues but trying to get on with her life and build a new life and business. Ryan the exact opposite personality, a bit grumpy and taciturn. He’s got some demons, but he’s clearly a good guy, taking leave from the military to check in on his uncle. His mission is to make sure Percy could live alone and it was back to his unit. As always, the citizens of Wishful add a bit of color and humor to this book, as well as Christmas spirit. One of my favorite holiday reads!
Dancing Away With My Heart
As a fan of friends-to-lovers romance, as well as the Wishful series by Kait Nolan, I was excited to read Lexi and Zach’s story. While Lexi has been living with hurt feelings since high school, Zach’s been missing his best friend and doesn’t understand why she backed away from him. I can totally understand Lexi’s heartbreak, but she needs to be brave and share those feelings with Zach. And while Zach is super excited to see Lexi again, he’s clueless as to the more than friends connection with Lexi.
Great characters, an easy read that I couldn’t put down and lots of romance are exactly what I receive every time I pick up a book by Kait Nolan. You can dive into the series at any point, because although they exist in the same world, each book is a stand-alone.
You Were Meant For Me I love Wishful. And being a Northerner myself, I adore when I get the chance to see Wishful through the eyes of an outsider. Tess and Mitch pretty much took this story and ran away with it. There were so many times I wanted to take this pair and shake some sense into them With one running scared and the other trying to bulldoze through, I’m so impressed that the author was able to corral them into a common outcome. My favorite part of any Wishful novel has got to be the interactions within the Campbell clan. They’re pushy, and nosy, and opinionated, and the whole lot of them just have so much love to give. Now that we’ve finally read Mitch’s story, I have no idea what’s still to come, but I can’t wait to get my hands on it no matter what it is. A Lot Like Christmas There is nothing at all quite like a Wishful Christmas. I’m a sucker for a military hero and I simply ADORE Wishful. Pair these things together and I’m happier than a cat with her own garden full of catnip. Hanna embodies the Christmas spirit I wish I could maintain. Her unrelenting delight in the season is awe inspiring to witness. Being in military service and having seen and done what he has, Ryan’s a bit more cynical about the season. So, what happens when the burned-out army medic is forced to spend time with the holiday elf? A Christmas miracle. And in case you didn’t already realize, keep the tissues handy because, like me, you’ll probably need them before you get to the end. Dancing Away With My Heart There just aren’t any words to explain how very much I love Wishful. I don’t care if the stories are long or short, I want to read all of them. Zach and Lexi are adorable and tragic together. High school best friends that maybe could have been more at the time if one of them hadn’t been a blithering idiot. I loved watching Zach as he started realizing what he’s been missing in his life. But it hurt my heart every time the pair of them retreated behind their defenses rather than own up to their feelings. I know I’ve made it to the end of this part of their story, but I hope this isn’t the last we’ll read about Zach and Lexi. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
Wishful Books 10-12 "You Were Meant For Me', Tess Peyton & Mitch Campbell, their story begins with a chance meeting in Scotland where he saw her singing karaoke. They spend a week together touring the country and sharing a bed. One morning he awakens to find her gone, he is heartbroken since he has quickly fallen in love with her. He returns to Wishful to continue his life, but is no longer the happy flirt everyone knows. Tess arrives in Wishful to visit her father, who happens to be married to Mitch's aunt. Neither of them were aware of this before. She is very reluctant to become involved with him again, skittish due to her parents divorce and she doesn't believe in true love. Mitch is determined to show Tess true love can last forever. Karma has a surprise for them, he is overjoyed, her not so much. Tess is not one of my favorite Kait Nolan characters.
"A Lot Like Christmas" Hannah Wheeler & Ryan Malone's story. Ryan arrives in Wishful from Afghanistan on a mission to check on this uncle Percy. Ryan encounters Hannah at the local diner as he arrives in town after a long trip. She is an interior designer presently living with her bakery owner sister. She thinks Ryan is homeless, so she invited him into the diner to warm up and offers him coffee & food. The Casserole Patrol is a group of three older ladies with their fingers on the pulse of Wishful. With their involvement in Christmas prep, they manage to get Hannah to volunteer making Percy's home a Christmas showcase. Ryan is suffering from PTSD from a mission gone wrong, he has very high walls built around his heart. But his "Elf Girl" as he calls Hannah helps break them down. Love this story, love the characters. One of my Favorite Kait Nolan stories.
"Dancing Away With My Heart" Lexi Morales & Zach Warren's story. Lexi returns to Wishful to help her mom after an accidental fall resulting in a broken ankle. Lexi has avoided Wishful since she graduated from high school after her best friend Zach unknowingly broke her heart. He is clueless as to why she vanished from his life. Gotta love Zach's guy friends that finally call him on his cluelessness. Another happy ending for Wishful. I received this collection as an ARC for a honest review.
YOU WERE MEANT FOR ME: Tess and Mitch had a hot and heavy love affair in Scotland and she vanished with no hope of ever seeing him again, a fact she regretted almost immediately. But fate and the town of Wishful have a way of giving you just what you need when they brought Tess and Mitch back together again...in a very, very close kind of way. I enjoyed You Were Meant For Me plenty. It wasn't my favorite in the Wishful series but it was still enjoyable. I liked Mitch better than Tess because he was sure of what he wanted and didn't really care what his or her family thought about it, and that fact alone is what made it hard for me to appreciate/enjoy Tess. But Wishful love stories have a way of pulling you in and tugging on your heart in an undeniable way and Tess & Mitch's story was no different. A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS: I really enjoyed this story, at least 90% of it was fantastic for me. I loved being back in Wishful and seeing old friends and I am a sucker for a good friends to lovers story, and this one has a hint of second chance love in it too that I could not resist. The whole story was fun and light but for some reason right towards the climax, I didn't feel it. I guess I wasn't as big a fan of Zach as I thought because it was all strangely dissatisfying, not the story, just how things came about. I wanted Zach to have to do more or something for Lexi and he just...didn't. Still, it was great being back in Wishful and I read through this in about one day. DANCING AWAY WITH MY HEART: I really enjoyed this story, at least 90% of it was fantastic for me.
You will love reading this series if you believe in romance!
If you believe in fate and romance then You Were Meant For Me by Kait Nolan is the book to read. Six weeks after having an romantic chance unforgettable affair in Scotland, Tess Peyton comes to Wishful to be with her father. Mitch Campbell hasn't been himself since his European vacation and is invited to his Aunt's house with the whole Campbell family to meet her husband daughter, Tess. What are the chances fate had a hand in bringing them together again! Surprised and then they try keeping their first meeting secret from her dad and the Campbell's. You Were Meant For Me is romantic and full wonderful characters in the small town of Wishful. A Lot Like Christmas is a beautifully written story of the romance between Ryan Malone and Hannah Wheeler. Ryan looks homeless when Hannah sees him outside the diner on a cold winter night and brings him in and pays for a coffee and soup. Ryan, a Army medic, whose borrowed truck breaks down outside of the town of Wishful is in town to check on his Uncle and access him whether he is ok to live alone. When they meet again Hannah is decorating his Uncle's home for Christmas as a gift from one of his late wife Uncle's friends. A Lot Like Christmas is romantic and full of unique characters in the wonderful town of Wishful. It is beautiful story of finding love and the Christmas spirit, and one you will thoroughly enjoy reading. I loved Dancing Away With My Heart! Lexi returns to the town of Wishful after 10 years to help her mother and runs in to her best friend Zack. Zack doesn’t understand why Lexi stopped being his best friend and is clueless yet he wants her to work with him in his photography business. Kait Nolan wrote a wonderful story of best friends, misunderstandings and second chance love. She is one of my favorite authors and I love her characters in the town of Wishful

I have been provided with a review copy of Wishful Romance Volume 4 (Books 10-12): Small Town Southern Romance (Wishful Romance Boxed Sets) by the author via Booksprout for an impartial review. This box set includes the following titles You Were Meant For Me, A Lot Like Christmas, and Dancing Away With My Heart.
You Were Meant For Me
This is a book in the Wishful Romance series and we finally get to see Mitch who we have previously met find his happily ever after. This book was just wonderful. I absolutely loved this story and this book was just cleverly written. I just didn’t want this story to end it just captured my attention and had my emotions all over the place. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.
A Lot Like Christmas
This novella is a part of the Wishful Romance series and I just absolutely loved coming back to this world and meeting some new characters as well as seeing some beloved characters from the past books. This novella was just such a quick and easy read and I just couldn’t get enough of it. I just fell in love with Ryan Malone and Hannah Wheeler and their journey together was just beautiful. I was just crying at the end of this beautiful story. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.
Dancing Away With My Heart
This novella is a part of the Wishful Romance series. I really enjoyed getting to back into this amazing world with its awe-inspiring characters. I just really enjoyed this story and getting to go along for the ride. I loved getting to see Lexi Morales and Zach Warren find their way to each other. It was just such a beautiful story and I was sad to see it end. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories from this author.
You Were Meant for Me - A fling that turns into so much more. Loved Mitch and how he loved Tess. She frustrated me somewhat. I understand about how the past can tarnish our views of the present and future but come on - give the guy the benefit of the doubt. I did like that the angst was short and how their family and friends rallied around them both. Would love to visit Wishful and hope this series never ends.
A Lot Like Christmas - Hannah and Ryan have an unusual first meeting. She is so adorable and has such a loving, giving heart. He is jaded by his job but loves his family. Uncle Percy was a hoot and I loved his "love story" too. Two people with sorrow in their pasts come together to help others. I liked how their relationship developed and each of them grew. I love Wishful and the author makes me feel like I am a part of the town.
Dancing Away With My Heart - I loved this book!! I would give it 10 stars if I could and I don't even give 5 stars very often. Lexi and Zach were best friends then she asked him to prom. Let's just say things didn't go the way her wanted. Fast forward 10 years and Zach is still pretty oblivious to why they drifted apart and he wants his best friend back. Wow just wow. Lexi is so sweet, adorable, cute and clueless to how guys see her - but she still only wants Zach. Too bad he is still clueless - loved how his friends reacted to his cluelessness. The ride was awesome but the ending was amazing!!! This is one book I will keep and re read - I don't do that very often. This author just has a way with words and I have read almost all of her books.
Here's what I love about Kait Nolan: her characters. Many times when I'm reading a series, by the time the next book comes out how many months after the previous, it takes me a couple of chapters to remember who some of the characters are and what their story was and what their relationships are to other characters. But not in Wishful! It's so easy to slip back into that little town like you never left. Every single character might not be in every single book, but there's enough mention of them all throughout the series that it's easy to remember every last one of them. Mitch we've known from the very beginning - and I just knew the town flirt would be a big soft marshmallow deep down, and I loved every single word of it. I'm not going to give away anything more than that, so take the leap and read this one for yourself I don't remember a mention of Hannah in previous books, but it doesn't matter, you definitely feel like you know her by the end. No Wishful story would be complete without the Casserole Patrol! Honestly I don't know what I liked more, Ryan and Hannah or Percy. Even though there was a lot going on in this story, I always want more. There were a few great lines that just made me crack up. Book 12, This was such a sweet friends to more story. Even though it was pretty short, it still felt complete. This one deals with a lot of lesser mentioned Wishful residents. In fact, I don't remember a mention of Lexi or Zach before, but we have seen most of their friends crop up in other books. This was just sweet enough to satisfy my need for more of Wishful. Can't wait for the next installment
You Were Meant For Me-This is another wonderful story about the town of Wishful. . Its about family , love, and friendship. Tess and Mitch had a two week love affair and didn't tell who they were. Tess left and Mitch was heartbroken. When Tess came to Wishful to visit her father and his new family she got a surprise. Mitch was Sandy's nephew. Lots of surprises and fun. Kait Nolan does a great job and I highly recommend reading this book. I was given a copy of this book and this is my honest review. A Lot Like Christmas -Another wonderful story taking place in Wishful. These stories have people caring for each other. Hannah Wheeler is a waitress and does decorating. She is helping the town decorate for Christmas. She meets Ryan Malone as he was walking by the diner and thought him homeless. She asked him in and bought him food. When he left he left a big tip. Come to find out he was a sergeant in the special forces in the Army. He was in town to help his Uncle . I loved the story and that it is a series. I recommend reading this book. Dancing Away With Me -Lexie Morales,a professional photographer, left home right after highschool because her best friend broke her heart. She had asked him to the prom and he thought she was joking and asked someone else. She was heartbroken. Her mom fell and broke her leg and she came home to help her. .I loved the story and characters. This is a short story and easy read. I would recommend reading this book.

You were meant for me: Tess believed that she had to lock her emotions away in order to take over the family business. When she meets Mitch on holiday she doesn’t want to be herself, she wants to be carefree and spontaneous, and in so doing loses her heart without even realizing it. Mitch, on the other hand, coming from a big family that openly shares their feelings, realizes what he has long before Tess. When he meets her again at a family gathering he sets his heart on winning hers. This story is wonderfully written with two people from two totally different families (emotionally) coming together to show each other the best of both worlds.
A Lot Like Christmas: With the opening chapter, you are struck by the big And pure heart that Hannah has and her optimism is contagious. Both Ryan and Hannah are hiding behind their fears, and don’t realize it until it gets “thrown” into their faces by the people they love. The characters were so real and could easily be one of your friends. Both are so lovable that you feel you have a vested interest in their future.
Dancing Away With My Heart: Could not put this book down - literally read it in one night. Loved the dynamic between Lexi and Zach, even after 10 years of not seeing each other, they just seem to click. The way Kait writes makes the characters totally believable and you are rooting for the couple to find love.

I always enjoy returning to the small southern town of Wishful and its quirky inhabitants, and stories like those in this boxed set are why.
"You Were Meant For Me" is another wonderful addition to the Wishful series. Mitch is a(nother) swoonworthy hero, fitting in really well with the other Wishful heroes I've met so far, and Tess is a likeable, relatable heroine. A minor drawback for me was that Tess's personality is so much like Norah's, that - while it makes for an interesting dynamic between those two - it felt at times like a bit of a déjà-vu. Countless bonus points, as pretty much always, for the Campbell clan, this wonderful, messy, brilliant, meddling bunch of "good people" who everyone would love to have in their corner.
"A Lot Like Christmas" is a wonderful (if a bit short-ish) addition to the Wishful series that has all the things I love about Kait Nolan's books: Southern small-town charm, likeable, "real" characters struggling with real problems without too much melodrama, a swoonworthy romance story with a dash of humor - the latter not only but also served by the Casserole Patrol.
"Dancing Away With My Heart" hits the swoony spot! - Favorite tropes? Check! (best friends to lovers + high school reunion) - Favorite small town? With a lovable + quirky cast of characters? Check! - Perfect combination of swoon-worthy, funny, and sexy? Check!
I love this series, and I'll always come back for more!
You Were Meant For Me (Wishful #10) I’m not good at reviews as I do not like spoilers , however, I will try not to reveal too much
Mitch, drop dead gorgeous architect, and womanizer, and Tess, wealthy no nonsense businesswoman, meet in Scotland , fall in lust at first sight . Tess leaves without a goodbye.
When the two meet up at a family dinner in Wishful, they can’t decide if it is luck, fate or just coincidence, but set out to explore their feelings for one another without letting anyone know they met previously..
A beautiful love story, l really enjoyed every word written and will definitely keep this one in my (to read again) pile .
A must read from Kait Nolan, as usual , a truly feel good story.
A Lot Like Christmas (Wishful #11) Loved the characters and the interaction between them . As usual, the Casserole Patrol was on form. All of Kait Nolan’s characters become your best friends, can’t wait to read the next Wishful story
Dancing Away With My Heart (Wishful #12) Once again an enjoyable visit to Wishful, this time to meet Lexi and Zach. Kait has written a great Friends to lovers novella. Though There were times I wanted to slap some sense into dumbass Zach , could he not see Lexi as anyone other than his best buddy ? With a little help from friends all ends HEA Love your work Kait

I REALLY really love this series. Of course, I already read all of these books before but I still re-read them this time anyway because I still enjoy reading them! And here are my review for each books...
You Were Meant For Me: Wow... Kait has done it. Mitch is one of my favorite character and I'm grateful to read about his story, finally. And to say, I'm not disappointed at all. This book is funny with Mitch's family and friends and sweet and hot with Mitch and Tess's chemistry. It's a second chance romance. Tess has her own issue about marriage and in her perspective, her situation with Mitch isn't different from her parents. And I also understand that the Campbell Clan is a bit overwhelming but in the end, Tess fit into Mitch's family just fine!
A Lot Like Christmas: OMG... I love Ryan and Hannah. Their story is so cute and so into Christmas season. I love how Kait wrote it a bit funny that make me smile and chuckle in some moments. Really recommended to you all.
Dancing Away With My Heart: Lexi and Zach's story is one of my favorite books already and it's a best friends second chance romances. The book doesn't have any steamy scene at all but I feel hot while I'm reading it because Lexi and Zach's chemistry is off the charts so it's easy to give 5 stars for it.

This compilation of Kait Nolan stories is wonderful! "You Were Meant for Me" - This story was good enough to eat. I always love visiting the fine folks of Wishful. It's just a good ol' southern sojourn in the land of happily ever after and Mitch's long-awaited love story was a solid addition to the series. The characters had depth and appeal and as always, the small town/big family of support and well-meant interference was a great back-drop. Highly recommend. "Dancing Away with My Heart" - This is a short story I started one evening and finished in the middle of that night when I couldn't sleep. It is a wonderful, emotional story of friends to lovers, second chances, forgiveness and healing, and reconnecting to your roots in the loving arms of family and friends in a small town. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. But that is always my expectation when reading a Kait Nolan story. "A Lot Like Christmas" - This was a touching tribute to the power of the holiday spirit and kindness to thaw 2 hearts numbed by war and grief. And a bit of sizzle helps to melt one of those hearts as well. I really liked these characters and love that secondary characters look to have a second chance at romance as well. Kait Nolan never disappoints! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I read all of these books and love them. YOU WERE MEANT FOR ME This is a really enjoyable second chance romance. Tess and Mitch only wanted a one night stand and ended up with too much chemistry together. I like small town stories, and a series in the same small town is even better. You can't help but fall in love with the town and all the friends and family. This story is well written and keeps your interest. The characters are intriguing and lovable. I recommend this and look forward to reading more books from this series.
A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS A wonderful Christmas story in the small town of Wishful. The story line will get you in the Christmas spirit and give you a warm and comfortable feeling. The characters are loveable and interesting. They fit so well into the Wishful community. If you haven't read any of the prior stories from this small town you will want to after this intriguing story of small town friendship and giving. I recommend for a captivating story to make you look forward to the holidays anytime of year.
DANCE AWAY WITH MY HEART This is another great story set in the wonderful small town of Wishful. It is well written with loveable and captivating characters. I enjoyed reading and recommend.
Kait Nolan has a way with words! Just the right amount of humour, steam and a bit of swearing where required, I found myself not being able to stop reading, and at the same time dreading coming to the last page. These three books aren't just variations of the same storyline and characters, as is so often the case in a collection of the same author. Each hero / shero had their very own personalities, and while the location remains the same, there is a different background to each story. The only thing distracting from a 5 star rating for me were some flashes of 'too good to be true' in the main characters and in 'You Were Meant For Me' the quite incredible coincidence of meeting again on the other side of the world. But then, that's fiction ~ or fate... These were the first books I read by this author. There are some references to other couples' previous stories, however rather than leaving a vacuum in the story for the uninitiated, it made me want to catch up on earlier books ~ which I have already downloaded!

You Were Meant For Me Mitch and Tess had this whirlwind romance, but they still seemed so connected and had this awesome chemistry. I didn't understand why they felt the need to keep it a secret. Maybe I missed something.
I did understand Tess' hesitation after her big surprise. Communication would have resolved a lot of issues but it didn't happen that way initially. Mitch and Teas did finally reach their HEA in a rather unique way.
A Lot Like Christmas A sweet, romantic holiday story. Three people, each carrying their own baggage, come together at Christmas. Everyone brings something special into the relationships and help to heal one another in the process. Ryan and Hannah find love, and both help Percy to get past his loss.
Dancing Away With My Heart This was my least favorite of the 3 books. I didn't like Lexi. Zach spent most of the book being clueless through no fault of he own. I thought it was interesting that when the lightbulb moment occurred for him, and he tried to address it, he still was made to feel at fault.
I felt like it wasn't fair that Lexi knew what was wrong, held on to it and let it simmer for 10 years, and Zach had no idea what was going on.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book received via Booksprout.
I always love the Wishful books. This collection includes three really special novels:
You Were Meant for Me is one of my absolute favorites! Tess and Mitch’s story is heartfelt, poignant, comical at times, and so very touching. It is worth reading, and one I would have read in one sitting if I had the time. I didn’t want to put it down! It is a definite MUST READ!
A Lot Like Christmas is a Wishful story about Hannah and Ryan - how they met, fell hard and fast for each other, came apart, and finally got their wish! It’s a wonderful Christmas story that can be read quickly. Makes you want to move to Wishful for the people, the love and the fountain!
I’m never disappointed with a Kait Nolan book, and Dancing Away With My Heart is certainly no exception. I absolutely love the Wishful stories. Lexi and Zach have been best friends forever, but this is not your typical friends to lovers novel. It is so much more. It takes a whole “village” for this connection to occur. Spectacular reunion!

I have read all of Kait Nolan's books. She has to be one of my favorite authors because of how she develops the characters and the story lines. She has created this imaginary town called Wishful which can be any small town in the US. Her description of the town, its characters, the stores, the history make you want to go there. I can see Main Street in my mind. I can hear the conversations at Dinner Belle's and see Mama Pearl who knows all. I can even see the three blue-haired matriarchs called the Casserole Patrol and imagine their smirks and nosiness which add character and charm to the town. I am re-reading the books in this volume and will likely do so again. This review is not about any one book, but all three. It's possible I have not yet read Book 12, so I'm looking forward to that one, as well as her new book currently in process. You can never go wrong reading one of Kait's books.

Kait Nolan is fabulous!!! See her name - buy her book! The stories in this volume add to the already great stories in the rest of the Wishful romances. The stories are connected as they all take place in the quirky town of Wishful, Mississippi, but each can be read by itself. Nolan does a great job of giving you just enough information about past characters and storylines that you are not lost if you have not read the previous books. (But I would definitely recommend reading all of them - they are that good!) This volume covers three different tropes while entwining all aspects of romance stories: book 10 (You Were Meant For Me) = fate; book 11(A Lot Like Christmas)= love heals all wounds; book 12 (Dancing Away With My Heart) = high school friends finally find each other. Each is well written with great storylines that will capture your heart.

I can't get enough of Kait Nolan's books! I love the romance, the stories, the small town living, the mystery in some, and her style of writing just draws me in. You Were Meant For Me was the first of her books I read and I loved it so much I went and bought a bunch more of her books! I loved reading Mitch & Tess's story, I received this book free in an email. They introduced me to Wishful and it's wonderful characters. A Lot Like Christmas and Dancing Away With My Heart were amazing books to read and I have to admit I was a bit disappointed the series ended…maybe or maybe not ended? I definitely recommend box set of books, and if you can, read the first 3 volumes which tell stories about so many of the inhabitants of the town Wishful. They are wonderful to read together, but they all work as stand-alones, too.
