I have now read books 1-7, and here are my thoughts. It was a great idea, but mediocre execution. Many of the plot twists I was able to figure out before they happened. Some story lines are just completely dropped leaving us hanging. And goodness me all the FREAKING TYPOS were like someone used talk to text for the whole book and never went back to check. Overall I found it to mildly entertaining and only went as far as I did because I am stubborn like that.
I am very disappointed that she has introduced as one of her magical creature "Ents" created by JRR Tolkien in the Lord of the Rings Book. I am not going to continue reading this series because of this. To me it is offensive to use the creation of a genius like JRR Tolkien in this mostly frivilous and not very original series.
I'm really enjoying this storyline but the spelling and grammar are annoying. Could be a really good series but the mistakes are taking me out of the story.
Finally she gets pregnant by who is the father and will she be able to fight the w. Will have to start the next book in the series to see who the father is and how she will handle it
I am really hooked on this series. Lorena manages to get herself into a lot of " different " situations. In this book Lorena is engaged to Sean from the land of Fae. She finds herself with no memories of her past thanks to Titianna, the Queen of the Fae. She finds herself falling in love with Ewan who will be King of Fae, and Lorena would be queen. Somebody wants her dead. She finds out the truth and manages to escape from the Fae by Jenny. She finds out Wei is gone due to Titianna's anger. She really managed to screw with vampires head. Lorena vows to find Wei because despite all the different feelings she has for all her boyfriends Wei is her soulmate. Wait until you read the cliff hanger in this episode of House of Vampires.
I know from other stories that I have read about the Fae there is a consensus they are sneaky and complicated creatures. However, Snow has brought before us a new well and perception. They are just as vulnerable and sneaky to each other in their quest for power as they are to the human world. I never thought I would get through this one feeling sorry for or rooting for certain Fae. Some situations have given the Fae a chance to show their deep compassion and love for each other and the outside world. It also shows that the deeper their love, the more magical they are. It was a subtle lesson which is good considering this battle has just begun. And the cliffy to this one is momentous!
Man things went to hell real fast! Lorena helped the wolf's and they helped her...but as she turned to go met Jenny and Alan at the car she took a wrong turn! A real bad wrong turn! She ends up in Fae/Unseelie land with her memories wiped and believing that Ewan found her and he!ped her! Truth be his mother ,who rules EVERYTHING he does has takes her so Edwan can marry her, be the father of the prophecy child and Queen Titania will rule all! But these people, ALL of them don't know who they are messing with!!
The stories just keep getting better and better!! I don’t know wich one I would pick if it came down to my favorite but this book 5 sure comes close. Of course I have a few more to go, too. Lorena sure can get herself into some fixes!!! Every time she turns around something different is happening to her but hey, that’s what makes for an excellent read. Read the series and find out for yourselves what I am talking about!
House of Vampires book 5 by Samantha Snow is a 4 ⭐️ read. Lorena wakes up in unseelie she has no memories of her past but her dreams are of a different life, she’s engaged to marry Ewan, the prince of the unseelie but in order to get to her wedding day she must travel around all the fae realms, but someone is trying to kill her so she has that to deal with too. I really enjoyed this one, I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough I’m dying to find out how it ends.
This was quite an adventure through fae lands. I really enjoyed seeing how she tied Vlad's disappearance into this book. Although...I'm still not positive of what happened to him; I think it will be explained in the next book of the series which makes me exciting (for the first time) to move onto the next book.
House of Vampires 5: The Puzzle by Samantha Snow brings more connections with the Fae. With the land of the Fae comes so much drama, hate, betrayal, heartache, and destruction that it's a major turning point in the storyline. It will keep you hanging on till the very end and make you want so much more.
All I could think as I read this installment is that our dear Lorena has fallen into a giant rabbit hole. The beginning of the book dragged a little as I grew tired of the pretentious Fae. The second half of the book was on track and very exciting. Definitely looking forward to the next installment.
Fae, such vile people. Can’t lie but are devious to a fault. Trap you with fairy food and manipulate you in every possible way. All about power and politics. Almost every single person and creature is submissive to royals. They are truly evil. Especially in the Unseelie court. Trying to escape is almost impossible but not for Lorena.
It just gets more exciting as the pages turn. I mean, I wish I could give some kind of fancy review of the book to let everybody know how great it is. And make them wanna read it as much as I do. I'm just not that person I can say. This is one of the best series that I have read in a long time. And I would definitely recommend it
Uses there for their, male pronouns for women, plural for singular. For the love of heaven someone SAVE this otherwise excellent story. It's giving me a headache. Do not people know how to use spell and grammar check?
I really had not seen that coming and man was I thrown for a loop! As I said it before This series gets better and more in depth with each book! I can't wait to see where it goes for all involved!
The Puzzle is absolutely amazing. It is so full of fantastic twists that it will keep you on the edge of your seat for the entire story. I can't wait to see what might happen next.
Lorena can not get a break.Every time she turns around someone is kidnapping her. This last time they nearly killed her.Her mom saved her but Wei may be lost to them forever.
This is the 5th book. So far they are all extremely interesting and worthy of reading. This one introduced some new people into the mix and I absolutely can not wait to read the next.
I am absolutely loving this series. I can't put my kindle down. There is not much in the way of sexy times but there is a lot of heat and innuendo. The level of intrigue is top notch.
Definitely like the storyline here. Loved the spicy. You can see the character definitely grow into who she's truly meant to be in this book. I really enjoyed the different settings of each of the men. And then the fantastic ending. Well done
This was so so good. It even made me cry just a little. So much was going on in the book. But man it is so worth it. Need to read. Going on to the next book
Best book so far even if she pulls from a LOT of other books to make this book. I am impressed that the book doesn't feel like a rip-off even with all of the nearly direct scenes from other books.
