My brother is an idiot; he's getting married.
And I’m in charge of getting things together since our folks are gone.
Lucky me. The guy who thinks love is for the birds and worn-out 80s songs.
I honestly don’t have time for this drama. I run a billion-dollar company, have women to entertain, and am working on my plans to rule the world.
No, seriously.
And yet, when you least expect it, life kicks you in the balls.
The beautiful, snarky woman that runs the flower shop is perfect to help me pull off this wedding.
Just seeing her sends my head spinning with possibilities.
She’s perfect. To play my fake wife for an event I have coming up as a side deal.
My ex-wife will be at the event, and I sure could use someone to show her how well I’ve done since she ripped out my soul.
So my curvy new friend gets my ring and a chunk of my wallet before agreeing to the deal.
Funny thing is, I’m not so interested in taking it back by the end of the adventure.
I’m willing to go all in on what might be the best decision of my life.
And I’m demanding the same of her. No maybes. No I-don’t-knows.
No fear of what might be or might not be.
Open your pretty pink lips and utter the words.
Say you do.

This is one of the most Unromantic books I've ever read!! This book shouldn't even pass as a romance book!!

Let's see :

- H was a software billionaire and h was a florist. The book from the start to the end made completely no fucking sense.

So H's brother is getting married and he isn't rich like H and refuses to take money from him so as a wedding gift he asks H to plan his wedding which H does where he meets the h as she is the florist for the wedding.

- H had an ex, who left him for some other billionaire geek who also happens to be ex of our h, so you see these was just so random and unnecessary.

- Then the book stretches on and on with unnecessary talks between h and her best friend April who hated marriage and didn't belive in it and I swear I skipped every single chapter where she and her daughter interacted with the h.

-h was insecure from the start to the end of the book and her insecurity increases when she meets H's ex where H takes h as his fake wife to make his ex jealous and let me tell you, this was at 75% in the book, so basically he is still in love with his ex this far in the book.

- At the party where H takes h as his fake wife, his pov says it's only because his ex would think that he was still hung up on her which he actually is, but he wanted to show it to his ex, so his brilliant idea was to bring h as his fake wife.

- At 85% of the book, H and his ex are together alone in the bar, she touches, his pov keeps saying that how great she looks, her rack is magnificent and how amazing she is and blah blah blah.

-But then I don't know what happens at 90% of the book, H has a sudden change of heart and he is like I was never in love with my ex, it was she was beautiful, sexy, had great rack, was a nice lay and what not, and let me tell you he is saying all this to h as he confesses his love to her!!

That's not it, he even goes as far as telling h his ex's history about how his ex's parents died, how he met her when she was fifteen, how much he took care of her, how she had turned to alcoholic or that he still had number of his ex's sponsor who takes care of her when she gets drunk, and let me remind you'll this again, he is saying all this when he was confessing his just found love to the h.

- And don't even get me started with the h. She was a complete doormat with a capital D. She was annoying, irritating and insecure as hell and her conversation with her best friend, good God!!! I never skipped so much in a single book!!

- So in conclusion, this book was one of the most disturbing and unromantic book I've read this year.

I don't usually judge the author by their single books, but I don't think I will be reading anymore books from this author, maybe in future when I'm in a mood or feel like I need to read something that would make me angry and irritate, I will pick up some of this author's book.

This is the first book that I have read from this author even though I have several of his books on my Kindle. I am not sure what took me so long to start to read his work. I loved this story. Luna and Cyrus were so good. Each had a different take on marriage. She was ready for it and he didn’t want to do it again after being burned once. They were both very attracted to each other and their chemistry was so good. They decided to be friends with benefits which had to turn into a fake relationship to please others. Soon enough the fake relationship became real and these are my favorite type of stories to read. I love watching the couples realize that love was right there if they would just open their eyes and look clearly.

I can’t wait to read more of his work so that means it is time to go back through my Kindle and move his books to the top of my TBR list. Loving his work so much.

I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Slow Walk Romance

I don’t have much to say about this other than the male main character hated the idea of marriage and the female main character loved it. They ended up working together to put together his brother’s wedding. Stuff happens, dragged out to make an entire book. Two stars.

Esperé como 80% del libro para llegar a lo que dice la sinopsis o sea fake marrige, que fue casi totalmente irrelevante y duró 2 páginas locas. ash
I could have lived without the first 20% of the book. Literally nothing happened.
I had hope for this one.
The premise came at 80- ish% I was pissed. Wtffffffff i hate when that happens, I really don't like that. Anyways I thought the inner monologues were a little too long but still, it was okay.

You let me be vulnerable with you so we can be strong together.

I was intrigued to read a romance by a male author. I would say it was fantastic up to the last quarter of the book. Don't get me wrong, it was good. I think it was more my tastes than anything. It turned to sappy for my taste.

I loved how these two enjoyed each others company, became good friends, laughed and joked together. I also found it a bit odd that a woman would turn over the wedding planning for her own wedding to her future brother-in-law. Hmmmm.

The honesty in enjoying sex and the company of each other was nice to see. It was not one-sided, each had a stake in what was happeming. I liked how the POV swit he'd with the name of each chapter so we got to see the romance from each head.

In the end, had they communicated......you know where I am going with that.

All & all a solid 4.0 stars!

I wanted to like it.

I got this book because all the good reviews.. and I wanted to like it but I have to admit I skimmed it quite a bit. It drags on and on. Chapters of small talk and people doing and saying the same thing over and over for no reason. Like do I really need to read 2 separate chapters about why the lead females friend thinks marriage sucks? Or do I need to rehash that same subject over and over with the Male leads same opinion in several different chapters? Or how about the other Chapters about nothing pertaining to the book? So, I skimmed ALOT. Then about 45% through I gave up, it just couldn't hold my interest anymore. Shame.

A surprisingly really cute book with adorable chemistry between Cyrus and Luna. It was an easy, quick read and something I’d recommend if you’re looking for a good, free book.

Not sure the Goodreads/book summary does it justice though 🤷‍♀️

Wow where do I begin with this book? Well first its another fantastic hit and has all the right feels. Rogan works for Ben who is ceo until he has a heart attack and ends up passing away .cora is now ceo for her dads company but has secretly had a crush on Rogan and now he is a little jealous at first but one night of passion can ruin his career . They try to fight of the attraction they have for each but when it's found out whats going on can they survive the bored room investors? This book is absolutely fantastic and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Absolutely love this book.

Much better then the last book of his.

Weston apparently has upped his game in writing since the last book I tried to read. That book I gave up about 30% in. This was well written and such a nice happily ever after finish with just enough of the expected angst prior.

DNF 20%. Heroine is a pushover and hero “helps” her by making sure that her flower delivery is done right and in time. Argh... I still fail to understand how any small business women owner is not capable for handling such menial business issues 🤨

Say You Do

When you are soured on love and marriage, after being married and cheated on and left for someone who has more money. Determined to never give in and fall for anyone again. Now his brother is getting married and they are in need of help planning their wedding. He is finally convinced by his brother to help with planning since they are both working during the daytime, and his schedule is more flexible. The florist has been burned as well, so is perfect to help him, they both have same negative thoughts for marriage. Awesome story about how they both have their own options change, attitudes, and their relationship status. Beautifully written story.

***3.5*** ... rounded down because I didn't like that neither of the two leads took the initiative to fix things in the end.

But otherwise, this was a cute read. Some odd unbalanced things, though. Like ... FMC offers - for free, out of the goodness of her heart - to plan the wedding because she enjoys it and is good at it. But then, MMC enjoys and is good at business. Why can't he offer to help her out, for free, out of the goodness of his heart when she's struggling with that? How are these two things different?

And there were times when I just wanted to slap them both. For two such alpha personalities, they were amazingly chicken shit when it came to discussing important things. That's why the brother stepping in, at the end, pissed me off. Are they going to need a mediator for the rest of their lives together, too? So yeah, I rounded down.

Say You Do. This book was exciting! I loved this story. Cyrus agrees to help his brother with his wedding plans even though Cyrus doesn't believe in marriage. He recruits Luna the florist to help with the plans. While making plans, they become attracted to each other and decide to do a trade that makes them friends with benefits. Things change after they take a trip to Italy. Now their hearts are in danger. This is a book you will want to read. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. I loved Luna and Cyrus's story. Planning a wedding brought them together and they became best friends. A few benefits here and there but his heart was not available for love. A fake marriage, a jealous ex and another ex. No shortage of drama and a few twists. This was a great story that was well written with complex, likable characters. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.

Cyrus and Luna meet by chance and form a friend's with benefits to love as time goes by. Their characters are strong and realistic, the story flows fluidly and I loved watching their relationship grow and develop. It's well written with descriptive and detailed scenes. Another great read by Weston Parker. I would recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

Luna learns that her boyfriend -- with whom she had been discussing marriage -- is already married. Fast forward 2 years and her floral business is struggling. Cyrus, the wealthy software magnet turned investor, visits her shop to help plan his brother's wedding.

This is a convoluted meet cute.... and it kind of goes downhill from there for me. Luna is described as a Snow White and Cyrus as an a-hole. If you can stand that match up then you might like this story.

Something cute and light...

This was cute. It's odd though bc the way Cyrus was portrayed, I thought it was a woman who wrote this trying to sound like a dude. So...his parts were a little extra to me. Didn't always sound like a man's voice imo.

But overall, it was cute. Predictable bc I figured out the connection btwn their exes from the moment Cy said why his wife left, but again, it was cute.

Amazing!

Once I started I couldn't put the book down. Luna and Cyrus just click when they first meet. The chemistry between them is fiery and they try to do the friend zone with each other. It's totally ineffective as the chemistry overwhelmed both of them.

I didn’t connect with either of the MCs. Things you expected to read more about were just skipped over and I don’t know things moved so fast and the plot...climax felt disjointed.

Spoilers (rants) ahead

First off I’m not fond of quirky words coming out of an adult’s mouth ie; shimmy meat?! Really. In an 18+ book. If this was a YA book about a high schooler, yeah okay, otherwise please no. It has become a pet peeve of mine lately, it’s been coming up too much in other books I’ve read.

While I do love a good fake relationship trope, this was too unbelievable, inconsistent, predictable, and cliched right from the beginning for me.

First, you have Luna, cash strapped flower shop owner who can’t afford to hire an employee (but suddenly finds the money later), so wedding obsessed that she’s making plans to a guy she dated for two years but has never been to where he lives in all that time. Take a wild guess how that went down. Then she meets a hot stranger(H) who sizes him up to see if he’s marriage material and offers to help him plan his brother’s wedding (wedding obsessed remember). Then with her friend’s help, concludes that a no-strings-attached deal with the H would be perfect. I swear my eyes almost rolled out of my head when that deal was purposed because she’s wedding obsessed and practically had a ring on his finger, at first sight, remember.

Cyrus (H) is a billionaire. You know you have a better chance of winning McDonald’s Monopoly game grand prize than becoming a billionaire. Personally, I’ve never heard of anybody winning it. Yeap I looked it up. So that must be one heck of a security app. It’d been more believable with him being a millionaire. Anyway, he uses the f-bomb every other word, thinks he walks on air, has scorched earth when he was married, vibes to him. Agrees to no-strings $ex knowing the h’s wedding obsession. Oookay.

Then we have Peter. The catalyst for this whole story and Cyrus’s brother, who wants his marriage phobic brother to help plan his wedding since he and his fiance have no time and there are no parents or friends apparently, to help do it. Now I’ve never planned a wedding but know people who have and it was the couple that did it themselves, well mostly the bride and her friends but still. Now if my wealthy sibling offered to pay for the whole event . . . I’d say thank you for the wedding gift. But no, Peter wants Cyrus’s time, because Peter doesn’t have any. After all, as a plumber, he must be working 24/7 (no Peter is not the owner) instead of Cyrus who is running his own billion-dollar company that employs people who count on him for their livelihood. Makes perfect sense. None.

The thing that nearly had me quitting this book at 33% (out of all the books I’ve read I have only DNF one) was when suddenly Peter could take a day off to answer questions Cyrus has about Peter’s wedding. Really?! If you can take a day off to answer questions plan you’re ownd@mn wedding dude!

Like most people who read, I want to relax and escape for a short time, this book did the opposite due to the reasons stated above and more. While this wasn’t a fit for me, I will continue to read from this author.
