Fear follows the Coronavirus. But the Amish know that greater is He that is in you than is in the world…
The Millers have their hands full. A large family and even larger worries. The virus hits a weak point for Joseph and Ruth Miller; their history with illness grips them with worry. As talk spreads and routines change, most of the community continue to be who they are and move forward with their lives. Trusting God, life continues on. Yet the change warrants vigilance and new precautions.
But not all changes are unwelcome. Caleb Fischer, born and raised Amish, left to study medicine. Now he returns years later to a different Amish community, and Eve Miller takes notice, and the two quickly become close, but not without difficulties.
Despite it all, the Miller family stays united and strong, despite their added worry for their youngest with her own medical history. But as events unfold and the virus advances, new relationships are formed, and love may blossom in the strangest of times, and places.
And for some, they’ll never be the same again…
Read this warm, romantic, Amish tale of family, perseverance, and love, by Emma Maas today.
Continuity errors in the first paragraph followed by joseph not Joseph. And the error trend was on. This is the way every book I have tried of hers goes. Filled with errors. And the "typo" errors are inexcusable with the technology available today.
I quit before the end of the first chapter...I won't read another Emma Mass book for a long time. No, I don't recommend.
Good book enjoyed reading, nice clean read, coronavirus from Amish perspective, quite a thought.
I would recommend this book from people teenage to senior adult. It is a nice quick clean read. I enjoyed it during my Sunday afternoon read time. I thought it was a great read. Simple good story easy to understand quick smooth read.
There is very little mention of the Civic virus. It is used to able a doctor who was raised Amish to me an Amish girl and be brought back into the fold. This is a very short story. Not one of Emma Maas's better one. Seems hastily written.
A short book of current virus times. A former Amish man is a doctor. He goes to the Amish community to help. Eve and her family live in the community. A quick romance. Will Caleb no longer be shunned and able to go back to his former life?
I'm a nurse by trade and I really enjoyed th is storyline. It is a sweet story and easy to understand and read. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Caleb had left his Amish family and community to become a doctor. He never dreamed that he would be invited to come back until he met and fell in love with Eve.
A quick and easy read, the premise of this novel is enchanting yet the writing is amateurish and this book needs to be edited. But for a fast, feel-good read with some information pertaining to the Amish community and way of life, this is a great way to pass the time.
I didn't like it but I've never read anything by that author before it wasn't I don't think written good at any rate I won't be getting any more by that author
This was a good read, but the time was out of line. Since the virus only happened a year ago, there is no way they could have went over two years since the virus started.
I enjoy reading Emma Maas' books. I was pleasantly surprised with this quick feel good story dealing with a mild view of the onslaught of what we now know as COVID-19. The story moved quickly and we got our happy ending. I was surprised at the errors though. I don't know if it was edited? I don't recall reading a book of hers with this many errors. That took away from the story for me being that it was only 67 pages. I gave it a 3.5 but rounded it up to 4. Of course I'll be back for more of her writing. I like her story telling.
