But Rafe’s grandmother, Olivia still hopes that something will tear Rafe and Neva apart. Hazel’s new assignment means nursing someone back to health … and there’s history between them. Love this series... please tell me this is not the last book! Emily Harvale has created such a cozy vibe with this delightful series. This series is interlocked with the Merriment Bay series with many characters crossing over into both. I read the latest books from both Series back to back and I think that really enhanced my overall enjoyment. Emily does a good job of recapping previous books in the series, but I do believe the stories are best enjoyed if you read all the books in the series. Additionally you’re going to want to read them all, these are charming stories packed with fabulous characters and an enchanting setting.

This story focuses on Neva and Rafe, Who got together in the previous book. Their relationship is going swimmingly until Rafe’s ex Pippa shows up. I think the storyline I enjoyed most in the book was Jo, Neva’s bestie. I liked her blooming relationship with Ed, and this is why I need another book in the series I need to know what happens between them. A misunderstanding, a break up, an Epiphany, an engagement, a wedding, new love, fish and chips, and Gin. Love spending time with these characters. Reading an Emily Harvale book is like spending time with good friends.

This has been a great series so far which just gets better and better. Neva is a character who I have enjoyed getting to know. More so in this one as we see a different side to her which I loved.

As with any romance story, the path to true love is never an easy one. As Neva and some of the characters are about to find out. I thoroughly enjoyed myself being back at Wynter House with characters who have become a lot like old friends. There is lots going on though that threaten to ruin a few different relationships.

The story pretty much starts off from where the previous one left off and wedding plans are definitely in the air. We get to meet some new characters, with some main characters from the previous books being very much in the back ground. It gives other characters though a chance to shine and have to say Jo is such a fun one that stands out in this one.

The way this book ends had me grinning like a Cheshire cat as it was very upbeat and I couldn’t help but get caught up in all the celebrations. There is one particular little surprise that really warmed my heart.

A Wedding At Wynter House is a great escape from real life. Who doesn’t love a bit of romance? I know I sure do. It definitely brings the romantic out in me. It’s a bit like a modern day Downton Abbey with a lot of it set in a big house and the different threads to do with the different characters. An entertaining and heartwarming read.

My thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for asking me to be on the tour and to the author for a reader’s copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

The Wyntersleap series is intertwined with that of Merriment Bay, with the same characters appearing in both and they blend very well together. However, the two series can be read independently and relevant events are caught up in each book.

Rafe and Adam have just broken the news to Olivia about the discovery in the cellar at Devon Villa and, as expected, she isn’t taking it well. Olivia is more concerned about a brewing scandal than anything else. She was even more horrified to learn the hitherto unknown family members have been invited for Sunday lunch.

[quote] ‘Dear God. Can this fiasco get any worse? First you allow the villagers and other riff raff to run riot through this house, then you acknowledge those people as relations and now you’re inviting thieves into our home.’ [unquote]

A lot has happened since the Christmas flood, not least the blooming relationship between Neva and Rafe, although things don’t run quite as smoothly when someone from the past turns up unexpectedly. So, there are romances that flourish and one that flounders. Olivia gets a good talking to but will it alter her attitude?

Jo is more in evidence in this episode and brings humour into the story with her unique viewpoint and antics. We also have more of an insight into, and understanding of, Adam’s character with relation to Rafe and previous events.

Emily Harvale’s books are peopled with likeable characters, romance and feel good storytelling. I’ve enjoyed this series, catching up with the characters and imagining the lovely locations.

Just finished reading this with a massive smile on my face.

I'm a huge fan of both the interconnected series of Wyntersleap and Merriment Bay, and am completely hooked on their stories and determined to see their final outcomes. As a result I can't comment properly on whether this does work as a standalone, but it does give a lot of reminder info in the first half of the book to catch up the Rafe and Neva fans, on the big happenings in the previous Merriment Bay book. So if like me and you are reading both, there is some repetition from the other viewpoint, possibly more than in previous books.

This concept of an interlinked series by book 3 is really intriguing as it makes me realise just how much has happened to the characters over such a short time line. It's very impressive really, just how Emily Harvale can include so much into such a short space of time.

I found this book really got going and started showing me the real new things, to me, at 50% at which point I was fully immersed back into the Wynter family and loved every moment of it.

There's a blast from the past, a new romance, a massive personality transplant, engagements and not necessarily whose you may think, and hot air balloons amongst the key highlights of this story. And there are even a few surprises along the way too.

I'm now itching to stop saying how great this book is and to delve straight into the Merriment Bay finale as I am curious as to the ultimate culmination of these interlocking series.

This is another fun packed story that I'm amazed just how much Emily Harvale can pack into it. Fast paced and never a dull moment, I really loved it.

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This is a short, sweet read which carries on from the end of New Beginnings at Wynter House and tells you what happens next to all the familiar characters, including some of the Merriment Bay ones. As you would expect not everything goes according to plan and a face from the past causes huge ripples in Neva and Rafe's relationship. Emily Harvale is a great storyteller and you are carried along as the story unfolds. Olivia, my favourite , is back on form and certainly makes her presence felt.

There are more touches of humour, the introduction of a new character, Ed, and some foreshadowing of where the characters are going to go next! Even Neva's niece, Sasha reappears. You also find out a little more about Rafe and Adam's relationship and I am sure there is more to come for both brothers, perhaps in Merriment Bay. With a lively cast, some sweet moments and a huge surprise at the end, this is up to Emily's great standard.

In short: Wedding Bells look set to ring out.
Thanks to the author for a copy of the book.

Neva & Rafe are still wrapped up in their newly found love, Adam & Hazel are loved up too and Jo is feeling left out and in need of some manly attention!! Everything is going well, everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day with some unexpected and lovely surprises and then things start to fall apart……

Rafe’s ex-wife turns up out of the blue, as gorgeous as ever, which sets Neva on edge and causes some earth-shattering truths; Hazel is called to care for someone from her past ~ someone that might affect her relationship with Adam; and Jo receives a saucy text from her ex. But will they let their pasts come back to haunt them and affect their futures? And who will end up tying the knot at Wynter’s House in the end?

I adored this, and I think this is my favourite story in the Wyntersleap series. The story takes us on an emotional rollercoaster and at times I was so unsure about what would happen to some of my favourite couples. They all seem to be going through a testing time and not all of them will come out the other side…… But it does end with a wedding and it’s so heartwarming and lovely. It’s full of happiness, celebrations and a bit of heartbreak, but will make you smile nonetheless.

All our favourite characters are in it, and it’s great checking back in with them. Olivia is her usual moany self although we do see another side to her in this…….I was delighted to see Jo finally starting to find some happiness……and with someone unexpected. And I was over the moon for some of the characters to finally get a happy ending!

Obviously these books overlap with the Merriment Bay series, and I would say that if you are reading those too, there is a lot of overlap to begin with and I kind of felt like I was re-reading things from before; but it was a wonderful reminder and it didn’t put me off (as I love that series too).

As always I love the setting. Wynter House sounds grand and amazing, and I can’t even begin to imagine what it must be like living there! Wyntersleap and Merriment Bay sound as gorgeous as ever, and it always makes me want to pop there and meet the hilarious and somewhat eccentric locals! And I loved that there was a wedding a Wynter House – yay!

Overall, this is another fabulous, feel-good novel that will set you on a bit of a rollercoaster but bring you a happy ending. It made me smile, laugh and worry, and I can’t wait to see what comes next. If you’re looking for your next fun, enjoyable, quick and heartwarming read then check this out! You can read it as a standalone as there is background within, but I would say that it’s best to read the previous books first ~ they’re fab too! Highly recommended by me – fab book and series.

I really enjoyed this book. It brightened up my early mornings (I love a good read over breakfast) and it put a smile on my face as I shovelled down my granola.
The author grabbed my attention from the start with a family dealing with the revelation that their name, Wynter, is linked to a murder in the 1800's,  an affair involving Rafe's father which has resulted in the arrival of Cat (Rafe's new half-sister) and her daughter Kyra, and a load of village gossip. By the end of the third chapter I was hooked.
I thought the arrival of Rafe's first wife, Pippa, brought good romantic tension to the story and it got me shouting from the kitchen table. You will have to read to find out. Also the deeper insight into Rafe and Adam provided yet more intrigue.
I have to say Olivia (Rafe's grandmother) is hilarious and I want to go back and read more of her.

This is book three of a three book series, the last book, and what a joy and entertaining story it has been. I’m absolutely loving this series, full on entertainment and drama.

I said it in my review for book two but will say it again here as still holds true. This story is very well written, the setting sounds truly beautiful, so much so that I wish it were real so as I could visit. Author Emily does bring Wynter House and it’s village truly alive though, with the way she details and describes it, as she does with the town of Merriment, which also sounds truly beautiful and a great place to live/visit.

Anyway I have absolutely loved this series and will miss all of the characters immensely, although I'm excited that I'll get to meet some of them again as I understand that the Merriment series are linked, so I'll definitely be reading that series shortly.

This is book three in the Wyntersleap series and interlinks with her merriment bay series. I've come into the series a bit late, so I wasn't familiar with the characters or the town. I did however find it was okay as a standalone.
This story has it all. A dead body is found... Old flames. New romances. Exs. Adventure. New beginnings. Weddings and some engagements. Plenty of celebrations. It's a shortish read and one I really enjoyed. I love the little town, the community and Wynter house. A perfect read with the best ending of all.
I will have to go back and read the previous books of this to see what happened before and link it all together. This is a light, easy read and it was just what I needed. A well deserved four stars from me.

I don’t know what Emily Henry puts into her books but once you start reading them, you can’t stop. This was the third book in the series and it didn’t disappoint. I loved the drama of Olivia I forgot she was so mean, I loved Neva and her love for Rafe, I loved how Jo was so desperate to find someone like Neva did and I loved how all the characters are intertwined. Honestly I can fly through these books.

I loved this book so much. In these times of uncertainty this is just what we all need a good book that you can get lost in. It was just a shame it had to end. Now onto another of your books Wedding Bells in Merriment Bay, which links characters in this series. Thank you for keeping me sane while we all stay safe😍

I really enjoyed watching Neva and Rafe's relationship develop only to find his first wife reappear to put a spanner in the works. I found Neve's friend Jo hilarious and was shouting in my head 'don't reply to his texts.' When she goes to the chippy I was laughing aloud - the first meeting is so funny. Add in Olivia, Rafe's authoritarian grandmother, and you have another winner.

I have been a fan of Emily's work for a while now. I haven't quite caught up with every single book that she has released but I am getting there. I read the synopsis for 'A Wedding At Wynter House' and it certainly sounded like another fabulous read from Emily Harvale. I was absolutely spot on because I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'A Wedding At Wynter House' but more about that in a bit.
As soon as I started to read 'A Wedding At Wynter House' I felt as though I had been reunited with old friends in the shape of the characters in this book. I can honestly say that I didn't dislike any of the characters although I could have quite cheerfully slapped one or two across the face with a wet flannel for the way they were going on. I was completely under this book's spell from the moment I first picked the book up until I read the very last word on the very last page. I read this book in one big reading binge, which is pretty rare for me. Usually I am easily distracted and I find it hard to concentrate but not with this book I wasn't. I think that I had taken to the characters so well and I cared about what happened to them that I just couldn't stop reading. The pages turned at a rate of knots and then all too quickly I reached the end of 'A Wedding At Wynter House'.
'A Wedding At Wynter House' is well written but then I have thought that to be true of all of Emily's books that I have had the pleasure of reading and reviewing. Emily has one of those writing styles that reads more like a conversation between friends than an actual book. I hope that makes sense. She has a way of grabbing your attention from the start and then draws you into the story. Emily writes so convincingly and realistically that the characters seemed to leap off the page and they seemed just as real as you or I. I felt that I was part of the story and that's thanks to Emily's superb storytelling.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'A Wedding At Wynter House' and I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Emily's work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

Again a book by Emily Harvale I adored!

Neva and Rafe are happily in love even if Rafe’s grandmother Olivia is still hoping for something better for Rafe.
And also the latest additions to the family (Cat and Kyra) and not really welcomed by Olivia…
But when Rafe’s ex – wife suddenly appears, Neva is afraid she will Rafe to Pippa. And even the other couples or want to be couples are facing some struggles…

I don’t know how she does it, but Emily Harvale wrote again a beautiful chapter in the Wynter House saga!
As usual, I started reading and I found myself between friends.

Rafe and Neva are just the perfect couple, and even if they know that it’s going a bit fast, they know their feelings are the real thing and their love will endure everything

But when Pippa appeared, I must be honest, I was so disappointed in Rafe’s behaviour. I understand that once you loved that person, and those feelings are hard to ignore, but just NO RAFE, YOU DID NOT BEHAVE IN THE RIGHT WAY!
Right then I was totally agreeing with Neva…
And the way Neva was facing even Olivia, I found right there and then my inner cheerleader!

Yet I enjoyed reading how the family was coping with all the changes. Despite everything on their plate they were still the people I fell in love with from the very start.

It was funny to read about Jo and her attempt to being seen by Gavin. Yet something is lingering out there, and I promise, you won’t see that coming! Even I was surprised, and even if it wasn’t what I wanted to happen, somehow it was perfect anyway.

Only 1 tiny remark about Adam… I didn’t like how his storyline went, so I hope that he’ll get what he deserves anyway! (I hope I’ve not put a spoiler here!) I sense that there is so much more about him than we know, so I truly hope he will get his own story (hint hint Emily! 🤣)

But so nice to read about my friends in Wynter House and Merriment Bay again! And lovely to see how these storylines entwined to a perfect mix and made me love these books even more!

This is one of those feel-good romantic comedies that just warms your heart and puts a smile on your face. I have not read the previous books in the series, yet I had no trouble getting into the story. True, there are a few references to the previous books that I couldn’t understand. But this made me want to pick them up and find out how it all started.

The characters are so charming that you immediately like them from the get go. The author blends the emotions well with the story-lines. On one hand, I was invested in the drama between Rafe and Neva and Pippa. On the other hand, I was laughing out loud with Jo’s antics, and her meetup with Ed. Jo and Neva also share a very nice friendship. Moreover, I loved Olivia and thought she was fantastic. I also loved Hazel and Adam and wanted to read more about them. On a side note, I also liked the side plot of the corpse buried under Devon Villa. The story was just entertaining throughout.

However, I would have loved if the story was longer. The plot is very fast at times, where if you miss a line, you a miss a lot! It would have been so interesting if Olivia and Pippa were more prominent in the story. Moreover, since I have not caught up on the series, I would have loved this book even more had I read the previous books.

Overall, “A Wedding at Wynter House” is sweet and charming and made me a fan of the series. I’m going to start reading all the previous books to catch up on what happened.

Although not much time has passed since the last book in this series, you might already know that this series is very much wrapped around another that follows the characters and dramatic happenings at Merriment Bay. There’s been some real drama going on there, and I did wonder if I might have missed out a little by not reading both series in tandem. You’ll catch up though – the early part of the book is perhaps slowed down a little by that, as the author fills in the gaps, but she really does need to do that.

But it was lovely to be back with these wonderful characters – and they’re all here, plus a few new ones (some less welcome than others). I will admit I haven’t always been Jo’s biggest fan, a bit too “in your face” for my liking – but I really loved her storyline in this book, and so will everyone else. The unexpected return of his wife, the love of his life, causes a few issues for the relationship between Rafe and Neva – a bit of anguish, but always with some laughs among the tears and relationship advice from Jo. Adam and Hazel… well, you’ll find out what happens there. There’s a new romance too – and it’s one I certainly didn’t see coming. And Olivia’s still disapproving of everything that’s going on, making her feelings known – but there are a few surprises there too.

This book, just like the others, is full of love and romance and has a few gorgeous moments that make you fill up and get really tearful and fuzzy. The characters are so excellent, and time spent at Wyntersleap is like revisiting good friends: the setting is as beautifully handled as ever, and when the humour comes to the fore, it’s very funny indeed. This is a light read, lovely storytelling, a perfect escape, and really good fun amid the moments of drama – and I must say that I thought the ending was absolutely perfect.

I’ve really enjoyed this series, and I’m so glad I finally discovered Emily Harvale’s books.
