The instant I lay my eyes on Leah, I know she’s my destiny. The heated sparks between us are palpable. Then we discover the truth about each other, and our worlds are turned upside down. But no matter how crazy this all is, I know we’re meant to be together. Now it’s up to me to make Leah see it, too.
This was such a sweet read, these characters were destined to be together. Highly recommended read especially before bed.
Leah and her daughter Anna are spending the day on the beach before she leaves for work when suddenly Anna vanishes when she finds her with the most delectable man she has ever seen but makes no move. Leah wanted a family but couldn’t find the right man so decided that she would have a child alone so she doesn’t expect any man to want to get involved with a single mum but their chemistry is something she hasn’t experienced before could what they have be real or will he decide that a ready made family isn’t for him?
River wasn’t expecting to meet a little girl who stole his heart with one look but then once he sees her mother he knows that this day was meant to happen but he chickens out at the last minute. Hoping he hasn’t missed his chance he visits a bakery he sees Leah working in and finally asks her on a date. But how will he react when he finds out about Anna’s parentage and has this ruined his chance at real happiness?
This really was sweet, steamy, romantic and surprising too. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book a solid 4*read.
Another sweet and steamy quick read. This one comes with a possibility of a fated meeting as truths surface. I enjoyed it and the extended epilogue. I enjoyed this as part of the Big Hot Alphas box set 4-6.
River is the sixth installment in Kate’ Hunt’s Big Hot Alphas series. In it, she chronicles the romantic journey of Leah and River. Leah is a single mother raising a young daughter, Anna and running her own little bakery. Leah wanted a child and used a sperm bank donor to conceive her little angel. River is an underwater welder and a surfer. Destiny brings them together on the beach when little Anna’s beach ball hits a sleeping River. Sparks ignite when Leah and River see each other. How long will it take them to fall in love? Will it make a difference that Leah is a single mother? How will Anna adjust to River? To find out what unfolds, you must read this delightful BBW and alpha male romance.
I totally enjoy curling up on my sofa in the afternoon or evening with one of Ms. Hunt’s Big Hot Alpha males. I enjoy her writing style and the way she masterfully uses literary devices such as characterization, dual POV, dialog, and descriptive language to weave her romance tales. Although the plot is a basic boy meets girl, boy falls in ove with girl, and an HEA ending, each installment is different enough to keep the readers attention. I also enjoy how Ms. Hunt takes one of the secondary characters and sets them up as a lead character in the next installment. Likewise, I appreciate when she uses previous lead characters as secondary ones thereby giving readers a glimpse of life after a HEA. This is a nice touch.
A chance for love and family! This is about River and Leah. Leah is at the beach with her daughter Anna and River is there laying on his board when Anna’s plastic ball smacks him on the head. I love how Anna demands her ball back, but then starts crying as she realizes her mom is not around. Leah runs toward her as she has been looking for her as she turned her back to her for a minute. River immediately takes in Leah and just minutes ago was thinking he would be a lone for a while. Well Leah takes in River too and loves what she sees but has a daughter to think of first. River decides to go into the café that he spotted them walking into and decides to join them. The story goes on with their love affair. The question is not answered is who is Anna’s father? Was it fate that brought River the love of Leah and Anna?

First things first; I really like the cover of this book! River is book six in the ‘’big hot alpha’s’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. River is a man that wants love but is yet to find it. When he helps a young girl he never expects to fall for the girls mother. The chemistry between River and Leah is clear to see and I liked them together. They made a great pair. I loved the twist of fate in this story. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
This was a short but sweet story. River thinks he has everything he needs in his life, and it’s too late for him to meet someone now anyway. Then a little girl, Anna, almost loses her beach ball in the ocean, but River rescues it and then meets her mom, Leah. Leah owns a bakery. She believes that she has everything life can give her and doesn’t need a man to be happy.
Yet meeting each other lets them both feel what may be missing in their lives. Will they find that being alone is not the best way to find happiness and family? Will they discover a HEA after all?
I really enjoyed River, book 6 in the Big Hot Alphas Series by Kate Hunt. River is so at home in the water that not only is he a surfer but he works as an underwater welder. He has everything he could want but someone special to share it with. When he meets Leah and her adorable little girl, he knows he has finally found the family he has waiting for. Leah has created a life for herself and her little girl all by herself and she doesn't need a man to be happy. But meeting River, everything changes. She wonders if River will be happy being with her and her daughter. Great read.
Leah's daughter disappears, chasing her ball on the beach. No problem, though - Anna is safe with River. He knows what he needs in his life - a good woman. She's a single-mom who owns a bakery. There's no man in her life - she used a sperm bank to conceive Anna. Could River be her father? Is he game for a ready-made family? This is a really sweet story, nothing over the top about it. Two really nice people meet and begin their journey to a very happy ending.

Leah thinks that she doesn’t need a man in her life to be happy. But, then through her daughter she meets River. Can these two find what they thought they never wanted? Read to find out and enjoy.

This is an awesome sweet little shortie. It’s about a more mature couple getting together and falling head over heels. If you want a quick, satisfying read before bed that will leave you happy and ready to dream of love... this one is for you!

River is happy with his life, or so he thinks. Leah is happy with her little girl. She doesn’t miss a man in her life but meeting River changes that. Well-written, short, romantic, a story that will leave a smile on your face. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Who knew getting hit in the head by a beach ball would lead you to a beautiful woman? River sure didn't know what hit him when he looked up at Leah. It was like being smacked by love. When they discover something about each other will it make them stronger or have them second guessing a relationship?
How unbelievable is it that her sperm donor turns out to be the sexy man who found her little girl on the beach. From first glance River was drawn to Leah and the feeling was mutual. Getting to know each other they find out River had donated sperm to the place she went to have her procedure done. I am really enjoying these short stories.
This was a fantastic single mom romance! Leah and River were great together. Their chemistry was through the roof even though they both weren't looking for love. This book has 1 twist that had me shocked and it was awesome! I highly recommend this book and this series!

..the sea is going to be the only woman in his life.............until he meets his angel on the beach
RIVER is the sixth book in the Big Hot Alphas series and is the sweet, sexy, romantic and deliciously hot story of River and Leah. River is thirty-eight years old, has a degree in mechanical engineering and works as an underwater welder. But salt water runs in his veins as he cannot get enough of the water as he also surfs and owns a sailboat. The only thing that could take him away from the water would be the right woman but he has not found her yet, so for now "the sea is going to be the only woman in his life." Leah is a single mother to five/six year old Anna and a bakery shop owner, Boulangerie Macaron. Anna has no "father" because Leah decided to go the sperm bank route to have her. Based on her history of bad dates and worse relationships but wanting a family she made the decision to just do it alone and has been happy since. One late afternoon at the beach River stays after doing some surfing with a friend. He relaxes and falls asleep only to be whacked in the head by something a while later. It turns out to be a beach ball that had gotten away from a little girl, who gives him a hard time as she wants it back from him. When he notices that there is no adult around he asks her where her parents are is informed she has no father but she just about breaks down when she cannot see her mother. Just on the cusp of it all melting down a woman comes running down the beach calling for the child. When River really looks at the woman he is floored and has his breath taken away as she is the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen. She introduces herself as Leah and thanks him several times. But he lets them walk away from him instead of asking to take her out. It seems he is more than a little rusty when it comes to women. As River is packing up his truck for the day he is thinking about Leah when he looks up and notices she and Anna are in the shop by where his truck is parked. It may not be his type of bakery but he is going to knock the rust off and get to know Lean better.
I really loved this story and how organic and realistic both the story-line and the characters felt. Yep it is an insta-love short story but it is not OTT and had great details with a slower burn that when the fuse is lite it really explodes. The story is really well written and completely delightful to read. I recommend this book to other readers whether you are already a fan of Kate Hunt or would like to discover a new author to add to you list.

I really enjoyed this read. River, Leah and Anna story is unlike no other story I've read. I was hooked the fist page. This is an easy flow read and so. worth reading. I highly recommend this read.
Well, this one was a interesting read! Had a nice little twist! I enjoyed this short romantic instalove story. The characters didn’t give up on each other and stayed committed to one another.
Loved River and Leah. They meet on the beach and widh there was more time. When River finds her again a little later, he asks her out. Loved them. Loved the little twist there was to their relationship. I was hoping they would have gotten the answer to it.
River really loves the ocean, and he feels the right woman will be what takes him away. He doesn't have high hopes of meeting anyone. Leah met him shortly after her daughter Anna wandered off, and she found her with him. There was an instant attraction. River's mind was made up the moment he saw Leah. Thanks to Anna, they were able to connect in more ways than one. This was the sweetest love story. It had a consistent flow. The characters had amazing chemistry.
I enjoyed reading this book! I so Loved the instant chemistry between River and Leah! I know whoever reads this book will enjoy it! I definitely recommend it to others!
Two people find love at the beach. River loves everything about the ocean. He meets Leah and her daughter Anna. Little sparks fly and they soon begin dating. Its sweet and romantic. They are adorable together. All three of them. I enjoy these short stories.
I loved River & Leigh's book. It was a steamy, intriguing read that gave me all the feels. I received an arc copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Love stories that includes cute kids. Enjoyed picturing the ocean, surfing, and how they met. This story sure did have a little surprise to it too. Very nice read :)
