There’s a murder in the art gallery, a dragon slayer on the loose and a nosy librarian turned sleuth.
Let the mayhem begin…
Xandie Meyers thought she’d found her place in the supernatural world when she moved to Point Muse, Maine. She even made new friends in the form of one Priss Makepeace. But instead of settling into a peaceful new life, Xandie’s dealing with rampaging zombie gnomes, bad luck, and now a poisoned dragon body has turned up in the art gallery.
The Dragon clan is snarling for vengeance and her new friend is the prime suspect.
Xandie has no choice but to let Sherlock librarian swing into action before an innocent woman is jailed for a crime she didn’t commit and Point Muse dissolves into chaos.
Can Xandie survive long enough to navigate her freaky new world? Or will things that go bump in the night have her for a midnight snack?
If you like snarky dialogue, murder and mayhem then you’ll love the next installment in Kelly Ethan’s Point Muse Mysteries, a new cozy paranormal mystery series.
Unlock the mayhem of The Dastardly Dragon Killer and the Poisoned Breath!
Xandie is settling into life in Point Muse, getting to know her cousins, making new friends, and figuring out the library. There is also a new friend, Priss, a dragon/human hybrid. But Xandie’s life can’t go on without trouble, goblins come to life, town and dragon treasures being stolen and of course, a body, this time it’s a dragon. With the chief out of town, the dragons give Xandie an “order” – find out who the murderer is. With the help of her crazy cousins, Xandie sets out to do that. But she is also getting more information on her mother’s death or is it actually a disappearance or kidnapping. Life is never dull. There’s not really any action but there are zombies, dragons, witches, shifters, goblins, imps and the talking cat. The characters and their interactions are great, often really humourous. The mystery is pretty good, I was pretty sure I had the culprit correct but it could have gone a couple of ways. This is a really fun, quick, easy read and a good series.
Having settled into Point Muse and getting to know the ins and out of the quirky coastal town that inhabits supernaturals and humans , it soon becomes clear that Xandie is a magnet for trouble. A newfound friend is accused of killing a member of the local Dragon dynasty and her new friend Priss does harbour ill feelings towards the Clan. Can Xandie help, before Police Chief Zachy "Bear" Brown returns from his training course? On top of trying to investigate Xandie uncovers more secrets surrounding her mums death and the Dragons are not so clean cut either. Fantastic sequel , a fun read, plenty of humour and just great storytelling!
Sometimes it's the ones you never think of... This one had me for a bit. Betrayal is a bitter pill to swallow, especially when it comes from your own family. So many twists and turns that you will be hard pressed to realize who the guilty party is. But with Xandie on the trail, you can bet it's going to be solved! Another fab whodunit by a fantastic author! Great read!
This is a REALLY great book! I enjoyed it so much, I couldn’t stop reading! There is more than just one plot, and the characters came to life, making it super interesting. I highly recommend this second book of the series. I will definitely be reading the Rest of the series now. Thank you for a great read!
Xandie really has her work cut out for her as The Librarian. She is also most definitely a body magnet! Her cousins Lila and Holly are hilarious and her grandmother, Elspeth, is a HOOT! This was quite the crazy mystery! I was feeling that it was all going in a certain way and then BAM! Plot twist! I loved reading it!
What a plot!!! This story wad way better than the first. Such an entertaining and engrossing storyline. Imaginative and loveable characters. Cannot wait to reach next one!
I like these stories right up until the final showdown which only seem to be possible by Xandie having a major case of TSTL (in each case I've read so far) ...
Editing is still an issue. Most of the time its odd mixed phrasing, i.e. "when will your wife would be joining us?"
This series has imagination that's both unique and fun. I love these characters with their spunky and sassy attitudes. I'm excited to read more from Kelly Ethan.
More depth with some characters while still simple reading
Got to know more about the dragons. Best character? The wacky, unconventional, hilarious, irreverent grandmother witch, Elspeth. She is the best. And the most thought out. Still too many grammatical errors for my liking.
This was such a fun and entertaining book. Kelly Ethan brings paranormal/fantasy to life. This is a fun, entertaining, easy to read book that you will fall in love with. Dragons and witches and shifters galore! Sit back for a spell and enjoy reading this fabulous book! 📚 Received an ebook from author and this is my honest, voluntary review.
This was a wonderful magical book about dragons and everything I didn't know about them lol. It was a fun book that kept Xandie on the move to try to figure out what is happening in Point Muise and what happened in the past. This is a great second book in this series.
Another scary dip and curve in the rollercoaster ride of Xandies life. Running from killer gnomes. Then dead dragon and missing dragon artifacts. Xandies got a new friend who saves her and her grandma from one disaster after another. Action packed and fast moving fun read.
