I only visited Crazy Carl’s Zoo that day as a joke. I certainly didn’t expect to walk away with a job. But Crazy Carl is gone, leaving dozens of tigers behind. His three sons need my help moving the animals to proper homes. And as ambitious as their plan is, the men themselves are even more enticing.
David is the eldest brother, a jacked athlete with steel-blue eyes and a master plan for the zoo. Anthony is a cute younger version of his brother. With his messy hair, a body full of lean muscle, and an easy sense of humor, it’s impossible not to smile when he’s around. And Jake? He’s your typical middle child with an attitude. But the delicious tattoos covering his body make it tough to stay mad at him, especially with his propensity to work shirtless in the sun...
Now we’re working together every day. Living under the same roof at night. Getting hot and sweaty--and not just from taking care of the animals. Can I resist their charm and focus on the job? Or will I truly become the Tiger Queen?

The heroine:Rachel - she just finished college with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and passed the licensing exam, and her dream job was to work in a zoo. However, she doubted she would be able to get in at a zoo fresh out of college since Veterinary jobs at zoos and animal sanctuaries were in high demand. She didn’t want to settle for working on a farm or something of that nature. She would rather not be treating patients that would one day end up being slaughtered.
The Heroes: The three sons of Crazy Carl. Crazy Carl recently died in a plane crash, and they are in charge of finding homes for all the animals left at Crazy Carl’s Zoo in Blue Lake, North Carolina since they just inherited it from their father, whom they were not close to. David - the oldest of three brothers, he owns two Cross-fit gyms in Richmond, Virginia Anthony - the youngest of the three brothers, he had a high paying computer programming job. Jake - his brothers thought he only ever thought of himself, so didn’t expect him to come help at the zoo after they inherited. He came home though. He worked for his father at the zoo for years after his brothers left town so had more experience than either of his brothers.
The Story: While looking for a job for Rachel, her roommate Ashley saw an opening at Crazy Carls Zoo. Ashley had heard of the place and how Crazy Carl actually was. She was surprised that they were looking for a vet since she had heard they never accepted workers from outside their organization and that there were rumors that the animals were mistreated and sold for exotic pets. Ashley posted Rachel’s resume and told Rachel she should try to get in and blow the lid on that place. Out them if they were actually mistreating animals. So, when they replied, offering her the job, Rachel decided to check the place out.
When Rachel stopped at the zoo, she saw how bad the place was and nearly did what Ashley wanted and report the zoo to the proper authorities. However, after finding out the brothers just inherited yesterday and planned to make some major changes to the place while they did their best to find permanent placements for all the animals, she agreed to help them.
I have said it in my other reviews of Cassie Cole books that one thing I really like is that you can tell she does a ton of research on her subjects and this one about the zoo and big cats especially was no different. She had a ton of details on the species, feeding, and habits of the animals in the story and it was a really different and interesting premise for a story. I love animals so I was all in for this one from the get-go.
This was a bit of a mental read to be quite honest. Allow me to start by saying that I cared a lot more about e plot of this than I did the relationships so I often found myself just skimming the sex scenes. Not to mention that the whole brothers thing was weird, tried to forget that as often as possible even though it was forced down our throats. Despite this, I did somewhat enjoy the individual relationships that were formed, got to say that Anthony was my favourite.
As I mentioned previously, this really descended into some crazy territory which I must say is very fitting given how much of this was influenced by Tiger King. It was all very questionable but I decided to just go with the flow and enjoy it for the wildness, don’t question anything too much.
A certain person gets a bit of a redemption arc at the end which I hated but hey ho, I get it. Certainly was not deserved after the whole attempted murder thing but who am I to complain?
Not one of Cassie Cole’s best but very enjoyable in its own right if you’re willing to look past our outlandish it can be.
Starts quite slow I felt, but builds to a really enjoyable read with some twists, and surprises that are well hidden . Characters are believable and the brothers are a mixed bag which in my mind adds to the enjoyment, their differences in character and outlooks is great to read.
It looks like Time was taken to research the plot especially the wildlife area. I recommend reading the book if you are a fan it’s worth it .
Obviously, this book is a bit of a parody. It plays off the Tiger King show on Netflix (which I have not watched yet) and it is decidedly raunchy.
There is a vet looking for a job and one comes up at the sketchiest zoo in America...Crazy Carl's. Crazy Carl is known for selling tiger cubs, awful enclosures, abuse, and generally being a nutcase.
Thinking that she is going there to possibly expose the poor living conditions, Rachel takes on the job in the remote backwoods of North Carolina. She is greeted by a monster truck, locked fences, and a lot of problems. But oh...there are benefits.
Namely, the three hunky brothers that inherited the zoo from their father, Crazy Carl, who recently died.
Rachel realizes quickly that things aren't as bad as they seemed from the start and that she can actually help these animals and help these brothers (in more ways than one!) As she helps them move forward, they give back to her in many ways.
This book is not just smut. It does have a charming and fun plot that kept me up well past my bedtime. I love redemption. I love bad people getting caught. And it is always good to see how people can have each others backs.
What I loved about this book is the vulnerability of all these guys. Jake, David, and Anthony all feel things very deeply. They may not communicate well but they eventually figure out how to talk about their past in a productive way. They all mess up in some way. They are family and they make each other mad. That's what siblings do and it was awesome to see people acting like real people in a book.
Rachel is also whip smart and so much fun. Once again, she screws up but she also knows how to apologize and admit mistakes. She grows along with her little harem and she learns so much.
But also, yeah this book is hot as fuck and it well worth the read if that is what you are going for. Sexy fun hunky men plus big cats and close quarters. Gimme gimme gimme.
3.5⭐️- Ok… I rounded my rating by up because even though I was certain this book was going to be cringey, it was only 5% of what I expected.
Honestly the amount of research the author had to do for this book, unless they moonlight as a zoo vet themselves, is insane! The first year of Covid I was obsessed with watching live & recordings of safari tours given by experts in their field being on sanctuary grounds in Africa…. I worked from home full time and had the streams as my background noise, for lack of a better description. That said, I’m confident I’m more educated on big cats (and African animals) than your average person. But some of the information that was given in this book was more than I knew! It was impressive!
I'm sorry but where is the romance build up, where is the tension? Where is the chemistry? It had a typical cliche grumpy brother, a nerdy one and a health obsessed one, not that I disliked their characters but they were just boring and one dimensional and they jump to hanky panky very early one without any context or build up??? Fmc is fine really, she has a vocation but she was also bland.
If you just want a thoughtless smutty RH in a different setting ( a zoo) then you might like it.
The writing was also not for me.

I very much enjoyed this book. The only reason I am not giving it the full 5 stars is because the ending with was a bit too cheesy even for me, and Bridget Bordeaux’s narration had some very noticeable less-than-stellar moments that affected my enjoyment of the story.
Her performance is far from the worst I have ever listened to, but it’s equally as far from being the best. Here’s hoping this is one of her early works when she was figuring things out, because she is a popular narrator in the RH genre and if this is the kind of quality I can expect from her with every book, I am in for some unfortunate times.
Another well written book by Cassie Cole. It was pretty funny the whole Tiger King part and that Crazy Carl is like him. All the guys are great. I did really like how smart Rachel is. Yes this book is scorching but it also has a great story. I think it also brings awareness to how bad small zoos are and need to be shut down. Rachel is a person who loves the animals the way they need to be treated and I am happy to know that the brothers listen to what she has to say on making them better and helping to find better homes for them.

Title: Tiger Queen Author: Cassie Cole Format: Audio Narrator: Bridget Bordeaux Genre: Romance, Reverse Harem, suspense Standalone: Yes Part of a Series: No POV: Rachel, David, Jake and Anthony Steam Level: Toasty 4/5
Tiger Queen, like Tiger King, was ridiculous but also fun. Definitely cashing in off the popularity of the TV show, Tiger Queen asks what is Joe Exotic was a girl and a vet trying to help the animals rather than profiting off of them. Both educational and entertaining, addressing Carol Baskins, the zoo owners grooming young girls for their service, and polygamy. I can't even put into words Tiger Queen.
I received this audiobook for free from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.
The title, cover and precis made me think that this was going to be some smutty take on Tiger King. I can see why that was used to potentially gain more readers after the show's popularity, but this was much more than seems. For a start, you get a real story with a solid plot and characters with depth. I enjoyed how everything developed and if anything would say the sex was the biggest let down. It was a bit rushed and not particularly exciting or hot for me, but I didn't care because I enjoyed the rest of the book.

… Ou deviendrai-je leur Tiger Queen préférée…?
Rachel was desperate to find a job but not just any old one she'd had her doctor of veterinarian medicine so she wanted to work with animals to keep them healthy not for a place where the poor animals were future hamburgers and fancy named steaks. Tomorrow she and her roommate were saying so long farewell avidazen to the city of Tallahassee. The problem now was to many people looking for the same almost non-existent positions. Her roommate Ashley seriously just throw her under the proverbial bus when she sent her resume to Crazy Carl's Zoo the video alone scream Ozzy's crazy train. But when they'd responded almost instantly what else could Rachel do. She was being emotional as she drove by Doak Campbell stadium the proud home of the Seminoles, Osceola, and of course Renegade the Appaloosa horse. However the thought of never seeing another home game just made her even sadder. Rachel wasn't sure what to expect when she arrived at Crazy Carl's but the man who greeted her wasn't the one in the video she'd watched. What she saw was so much worse then she'd had thought it would be so she did what any sane human would. She ran. The last thing Rachel anticipated was finding one of the guys outside her motel room. Yeah your right its bad, no it was so much worse David and his brother knew the zoo was a total nightmare. After calmly listening to David explain their future plans for the animals she decided to do the right thing. She spent the next day taking care of the animals trying to learn as much as she could about each one. He wanted to be anywhere but here Jake hadn't wanted to come back however he felt like he was taking a trip to the Shawshank. Rachel tried to understand the dynamics between the brothers which at the moment were not on good terms and they were totally dysfunctional. David the oldest Jake absolutely rocked the poor middle child syndrome and Anthony the baby of the family. The zoo was on its finally leg, they were strapped for cash, there to many animals to feed and some of them really needed biggest enclosures. Rachel had never considered herself to be an overachiever but wow how she found herself totally exceeding even her own expectations. However they seem to take two-steps forward before something happens and there back to square one. There's obviously someone is undermining all there efforts and the longer this goes the worse things could get.

TIGER QUEEN is a scorching reverse harem love story filled with humor, suspense, and excitement.
I really enjoyed this book, I enjoyed all the characters, and I really liked the plot of this book, I really like how the story ended and I thought this was a unique reverse harem.
DNF - quit at 47% I tried to give this a chance, forced myself to keep going, but just gave up in the end. The FMC jumps too quickly into sexual relations with 2 of the 3 brothers (the second day with the first brother), making this feel like it’s more about the sex (which was bland & boring writing if that’s what this is all about). On top of that there’s no mention of condoms or birth control before these sex scenes progress past point of no return. Do they not care? In real life, I would hope people are more responsible considering the risks of STD’s or pregnancy with strangers. The middle brother is a total douche, not even recognizing the animals welfare is on the line, which was a total negative for me. Just not a quality story with a believable plot for the RH as a whole. I’m just not sold on this, & all the hiccups to the story pulled me out.
At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
Another good read by Cassie Cole. I was wondering how it would play out with brothers sharing a girl, but it was done really well in that aspect. I liked how Rachel had just finished her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and was looking for a respectable place to work. Her roommate applied for Rachel to take the position at Crazy Carl's Zoo as a joke so she could get some inside information to shut down the zoo that had a bad reputation. When Rachel arrived things seemed dismal, so she ran, literally, away from the place. David found her an explained what was happening which changed her mind.
The story was done very well, although the sex scenes were few and far between. So if you were hoping for lots of erotic behavior, there was some, but not too much. Could have used more. But the twists towards the end kept things interesting in a different way. Worth the read for the story alone.
While the sex scenes in this book are hot and explicit, giving this book a rating of Manzano Pepper hot, the rest of the book hits me as a little lacking. Sadly this is the first book.of Cassie Cole's I can't give higher than a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I loved the idea and the intrigue of this book, a lot of it hit me as rushed and missing the mark. I love the idea, and would have probably loved this boom as much as normal if not for the last few chapters. If you want a book that leaves you horny, because lets face it Cassie know how to write a sex scene, then this is a great book for you. However if you are hoping for the hot and sexy scenes along with the great story, this is one book that missed the mark. If Cassie had not had the second one villain who it was and then magically make things resolved I think I could have enjoyed this book far more. But as is it is, I don't believe that the relationship that involves that second villain would be able to be realistic.
I hope this helps you find your next Tantalizing Tome!
I didn’t read this for awhile but was going through Cassie Cole withdrawal. Rachel is graduating from Florida State with her doctorate in veterinary medicine. She’s having trouble finding a job so her roommate pushes her to apply for a position at Crazy Carl’s Zoo. She reluctantly decides to take the job in order to make sure that the animals are being treated well. When she gets there, she learns that Crazy Carl has died, and the zoo is in the hands of his three sons. David is the oldest son who is good looking and owns gyms in Virginia. Jake has a chip on his shoulder but is also incredibly good-looking and Anthony is a computer programmer who is super sweet. This one was action packed as somebody is trying to shed a negative light on all the good they are doing at the zoo. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Throw in a unconventional relationship between them all and it is a super fast and exciting read.
Another excellent Cassie Cole reverse harem books, with bonus added info about big cats! Bought on Kindle and Audible, the narrators do a fab job - wish there was a bit more from the MCs points of view as it was overwhelmingly from Rachel's. Also, for a Cassie Cole book it took a fairly long time for any action to start, it was worth the wait, but having read a good many it confused me a bit.
Saw the twist at the end coming on the first page, though it was well written. The fact they allowed him to cut the ribbon... that just peed me right off. Not OK. Will understand if you read it lol!
I liked that the MCs, Jake, Anthony and David had their own personalities, yet worked well together. It was also nice to see the success of the zoo turned animal reserve, with some of the big cats staying on to the end.
For some reason I was sure this was a shifter romance, alas, it is not so. But, hey big cats, those are so, so awesome as well so not bad but the story itself is hmm, quite simplistic, and did not feel much reverse harem to me, more like hey a foursome happens, guess we stick to that now.
The ending also made me scoff, like uhmm okay you are just like hey no biggy that you like totally threatened to cut either my head or my hand off with a fucking saw, I totes forgive you even though there's no evidence you bettered yourself, like what?! That completely ruined the whole story for me, the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the big cats.
Tiger Queen by Cassie Cole is a reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Bridget Bordeaux.
This is the first book of Cassie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and just had to know how it was going to end. I loved that the book was steamy but also had a great story line with the Zoo.
Bridget did a great job on the narration. She really brought the story to life. I only noticed in the last couple chapters of the book that a few lines were repeated. But overall it was a great narration of the story.
I would highly recommend this book if you love reverse harem romances.
Absolutely fantastic steamy romance. I love the interaction between the brothers and Rachel. They made it easy to fall in love with them. They didn't make her feel uncomfortable. They got to know her and made sure she was comfortable and supported.
Rachel knows that they need her help with the animals. She tries to fight her attraction but finds herself enjoying letting go more. Rachel is fun and open minded. She never denied her needs and enjoys their sexual activities.
This story is sweet and so erotic. Rachel is an amazing vet that loves each one of her animal patients and working with big cats is her dream. She makes sure that the zoo is updated and working properly.
I feel like I read this book, with the same brothers in it, already except they had a ranch instead of a zoo and horses and cows instead of tigers and wolves, Wait I did read it! it was another Cassie Cole novel called Shared by the Cowboys and the similarities between the characters and the relationship development are carbon copies of one another. I like reading similar troupes but I didn't enjoy re-reading the same love story with a different backdrop. Maybe some people enjoy that but it just brought the whole experience down for me which is a shame because I loved the story itself it was exciting heartwarming fun but the characters fell flat because they were so predictable and their relationship felt rehearsed because I had already read it all in Shared by the Cowboys :(
Such a great story of a woman strong woman who's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in or anyone in her way. When Rachel graduates as a vet for zoo animals she is still without a job to go to which means moving back living with her parents but on the last night in their apartment her friend Ashley applies for a job for her as a joke at a zoo that's got awful reviews on how horrible the owner is to the animals. Then within minutes she get offered the job even without an interview she just ignores it but Ashley tell her she'll go past it on her way home do she should go in & take photos but says she'll think about it to shut her friend up. The next day her journey home takes her hours but she decides she will stop off to see the 'Crazy Carl's zoo' but when she gets there she is shocked to see it is exactly how she's seen it on videos but the 2 men she meets are not the weird guy, David introduces himself then shows her around during which she has been taking videos & photos then she shouts at them telling them how what they are doing is wrong &, illegal the way they are treating the animals quickly running & driving off as they chase her to the gate but she gets away driving until she sees a motel deciding to stay the night breaking up the long journey. Expecting room service she opens the door to find David the guy from the zoo he explains to her that it was their dad that owned the zoo & that they had just taken it over a few days ago as their dad had died & they are trying to put things right looking after the animals to go to other zoos so she agrees to taking the job so she starts to check all the animals as there is no record of their care & gets on well with David & Anthony but then a few days later Jake another brother turns up but is not happy they are sending the animals away & has an major attitude towards her going out of his way to not help with cleaning & looking after the animals. Everything seems to be coming together until bad reviews about how bad the zoo's treating the animals & putting photos of unclean food areas which everyone at the zoo know its not true, they even cause Mary Beth one of the 2 new employees of posting it. Then other posts are posted trying to sabotage their to re-home the animals. Eventually they find out who has been doing it & why but there are lots of twists that you don't see coming as well as Rachel getting together with the 3 hit Brothers unable to give in to the HOT sexual chemistry between them all. This is a great story that will keep you on your toes & unable to stop reading it desperate for more.

I almost quit this book because of Jake. -What a prick. It pisses me off when a girl goes after a guy who was an ass to her. What's wrong with you girl? don't make eye at him, kick him in the junk. sigh- At this point I have enough faith in Cassie Cole to lean back, let her take the wheel, and enjoy the ride. She does not disappoint. Although the ending was ludicrous, it didn't spoil anything. what a fun story with benefits. Oh, I also enjoyed the animals. I got a little misty thinking about saying goodbye to Big Cesar.
When Rebecca’s friend signed her up for the veterinarian job at Crazy Carl’s Zoo, she went as a joke and to get evidence against them. What she wasn’t expecting was the three Haines brothers. This fun and exciting story was full of interesting characters with a bit of danger, sex, socialmedia and family drama thrown in

I love the way Caddie Cole teaches you a little about the jobs or lives of her characters. Then she allows you to get to know the characters. I sometimes wish There was more about the relationship between the characters but sometimes it's not necessary. I enjoyed this alot. The three brothers are all pretty hot... I don't know why the Bonus chapter wasn't included... It actually makes the story finished... I liked it all.
Rachel is my favorite hands down. She was sassy and came in to make a change and she did, in more ways than one. Totally loved that they threw in References to the show “Tiger King”, cause that helped make the story more believable and pulled me in. Plus the three brothers? Oh yum and yes please! If you’re looking for a fun and delicious read, I totally recommend this book!
