Coop is book 22 in the Reed Security series, and it is suggested that they are read in order. CoopBecky is life. She's the sunshine that lights up my world. But for some reason, I just can't seem to fully commit. Everything in my head is screwing with me, and if I don't figure it out soon, I'll lose her. And to make matters worse, my sweet angel of a daughter has turned into a rebellious seventeen year old that is doing everything in her power to kill me. Something's gotta give or I'm going to lose everything I've fought for in my life. BeckyCoop has always been a mystery, but he was my mystery. Now, though, I can't take any more. I want him, but I want all of him. If he can't let me in, I can't stick around. I need the whole man, not just the pieces he's willing to give me. But even if I get him, can I hold onto him? He's the one thing I want most in this world, but I have a feeling that things aren't going to go my way. "Target acquired. Everyone in position."I tested the front door, checking to see if it was locked. It was. At least I knew she was trying to remain safe indoors."Copy that," Storm said. "Ready to storm this nice suburban house.""Yeah," Tacocheese grumbled. "I'm ready for jail.""Move out."I kicked at the door twice and then gave a final boot to the door and watched it swing wide open, banging against the wall. I saw the look of shock on Kayla's face as I moved into the living room and cleared the area. The asshole moved in front of her, trying to protect her. Wrong f^@king move."Down on your knees," I shouted, pointing my gun at him. I knew that Tony Tacos and Storm were clearing the rest of the house, so I kept my gun trained on this asshole. He slowly moved to his knees, but my girl stood tall, refusing to get down. Obviously, she knew who I was. She would recognize the gear anywhere. "Kayla, baby, get down. Just do as he says.""No," she said defiantly. I walked forward slowly and placed my boot right over the f^@ker's fingers, slowly lowering the weight of my body on top of his hand. He screamed in agony, but I remained staring at Kayla. "Still want to stay standing?" I asked her."You're being an a$$hole," she shouted."An a$$hole," I repeated, lifting my boot just enough to kick the f^@ker in the side. He tipped over, holding his side and gasping for air. Kayla stared at me incredulously."What are you doing? You're gonna get thrown in jail!""Kayla," the f^@ker whimpered. "Just do as he says."I waited for her to listen, but my defiant little girl just wouldn't do it. I quickly snatched him off the floor and held him against my body, my arm wrapped around his throat. Tony Tacos and Storm entered the room, both with wide eyes. "Oh shit," Tacos grumbled. "We're so going to jail.""Should I call Cap?" Storm asked."He would do the same f^@king thing if it was Caitlin," Tony answered."Just...don't kill him," Storm said, narrowing his eyes at me. I grinned maniacally. "I'll take that into consideration." I turned to the kid, whispering in his ear. "Have you ever felt the sting of a really sharp blade against your neck?" He shook his head wildly. "That's a shame. It's really a very...exciting feeling. Let me show you."I pulled out my knife and slid it ever so slowly against his neck, not actually putting him in any danger. I was quite good with a knife and there was no chance that I would accidentally nick him. "Doesn't it make you feel alive?"He shook his head slightly."Dad, would you stop f^@king with him?" Kayla said in exasperation."Dad? This is your dad?" the f^@ker shouted."Nice to meet you. You can call me Mr. Cooper."

This book was amazingly good. The first half was funny and heartwarming and absolutely hilarious at times. I just loved the camaraderie between the guys at Reed Security. The ribbing they give each other, the names they call each other and the inside jokes they all have. I love books like this, it makes you feel like you are watching an episode of friends in a way, like you are hanging out with a bunch of old friends that are just fun to be with.
This book though was not all fun and games, I think that is one think that Giulia Lagomarsino is really good at. She can inject hilarity into a book that has some great action, serious themes, steamy romance and even crazy psychotic things going on. This book had a bit of everything and not one part of it was any less for the addition of another. I loved it all.
I gave the last book, Rocco five stars and thought that one was fantastic but this one was even better. If I could give it more stars I would. It is funnier than ever how these big tough men who don’t want to get p*ssy whipped like their fallen comrades keep going down one after another. They tease each other about losing their man cards but each book has one more guy going down the same path.
This book is about Daniel “Coop” Cooper and Becky Harding who have been dating for a while. Becky used to work for Reed Security but recently quit and decided to get some space from being around Coop 24/7. They are still dating be she is starting to get fed up with the fact that the relationship isn’t moving forward.
Coop won’t open up and let her in. He was in an accident during his time in the military and was burned on his back and legs and part of his arm. He doesn’t take his clothes off when they are intimate at doesn’t want Becky to touch him, he doesn’t even look at her during the act. There are quite a few issues they have to work out within their relationship.
Coop also has a seventeen year old daughter, Kayla who is acting up. She grew up while they were on the run from a psychopath and they currently live on the Reed Security compound and stay in the panic room at night. Coop is still very paranoid even though Adams, the psycho they were running from is dead and gone. Kayla just wants to be a normal teenager and have friends and a boyfriend and hang out but instead Coop keeps her basically barricaded in the compound for her own safety. So she has been rebelling by sneaking out whenever she can.
There are quite a few different storylines in this book and all the feels from humor to heartbreak, from outrageous happiness to overwhelming guilt and more than one bloodbath in the mix so be prepared and there are a few tiggers as well so be warned. But it is quite a ride and I plan to go back and get to all the Reed Security books I haven’t read yet, beginning at book one since this is now one of my favorite series.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Becky's finally had enough of her on again off again love's phobia of commitment. To save her heart, she needs to quit her job at Reed Security, and walk away from them and from Coop. But it will be harder to do that than she might have realized, considering there's someone after her, after them, oh who knows who exactly.
Coop has spent his relationship with Becky pushing her away and pulling her closer, never letting Becky in, never giving her all of himself, and it's finally going to bite him in the butt because she's done. Will Coop ever take his head out of his ass and see just what he could have with Becky if he'd let her into his heart?!
Damn but Coop is a frustrating man! But I loved Becky and his story. It's got that push and pull I love when it's not too much, it's sexy, and the two make a great couple once they figure their shit out. The Reed Security team is such a fascinating, exciting series and Coop just makes it all the better.
Having read all the books to date, you can either read them alone or want to know more about each of the other characters and trust me you will want to. I started on the first in the series and I can't stop, I look forward to each of their stories and the future of Reed Security. The author draws you in from the start, you don't know what each book will entail but they all share the same feelings and/or thoughts we have with the connects we make in our lives. Through it all, no matter what you'll feel like you're a part of the book, you'll feel the same things or understand them. If you're anything like me, I have a little bit of all them in me. I truly suggest you read each one from the start of the series and the men and women within it. I started with Sinner and went on from there. You can't just read one and move on to another book, oh no, you need to read the next one and the one after that, so on as you find out all the little bits of each character you begin to see the whole story of the series and those behind it. Each character brings their own bit to and and you want to know more. Don't forget to read the series For the Love of a Good Woman with the other men involved in the series. I can't wait for the next book to come out. This is a series that's very intense you can relate to it at some point in your life, the trials and tribulations that they go through, is something either you or someone you know has. I've been totally pulled in by the author and you will be to. With Coop, it's always his daughter first and always will be. While the woman in his life takes time to get him warmed up, Becky is the perfect person to do that. They have their moments and their world gets shaken by things that happen but there is always a reason things happen. We learn from those reasons and either grow or let them take over our lives.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved everything g about this book. Becky is an awesome woman and very talented. Cool is a hot Alpha male with e.optional baggage. The two together are combustible. There are areas surrounding his daughter that they disagree on and Becky does help her sneak out of the bunker. The end is Rockland makes you heart happy after all the sadness.
Coop was a bit more serious side than the majority of other Reed Security stories, and I'm still really emotional to be honest. Coop has had some things happen to him, things beyond his control, but they shaped him in to a man with walls like no other. He has a thing going with Becky, who has recently left working for the company, because she really wants to move on with her life, and while they have some big chemistry, he's still not letting her in for anything. And finally, when he's starting to, she makes a decision that really has some big consequences. Man, I was legit crying by this point, and there was nothing that anyone could do to stop it, and Ms. Lagomarsino really staked my heart. I temporarily forgot how she could do that to me, and man, I'm tearing up all over again. It made for some big twists that not only had me dropping f-bombs, but again with those pesky tears. Y'all HAVE to hit those one click buttons, because you don't want miss out, but have some tissue handy! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.
This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.
The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.
You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.
I was actually really enjoying this book at the beginning and then it just took a couple of dark turns that I just was not on board with overall. But I'll give out spoilers on those items in a minute (like 5 paragraphs down). But first, some of the story info.
I liked reading how they got together and I enjoyed their journey at the beginning. The struggles he had from his injury and subsequent burns that held him back followed by her realization that she deserves better, was a great story. Her leaving him, so to speak, was the swift kick that he needed to realize he wanted to be with her fully. And the guys of course helped him realize that too.
I enjoyed watching him woo her by driving to her place at night and chatting with her over the phone while she was inside and he was in the car. And I enjoyed him just being there, even if he wasn't talking to her. It was his way of being close and trying to get to the next step.
And when he finally showed himself to her and let her see his scars, she didn't even look at them. She saw him for who he was and he realized that he was more than his scars. So it really was a great story for them in the beginning.
The daughter, Kayla, was definitely an interesting factor as well. Teenage rebellion at its peak, and honestly, I'm surprised it took so long for her to rebel. Dad was definitely overprotective and Becky was trying to learn her role as well. I have a feeling in the next book, or several books, her idea of a training center for women and girls will pan out with Caps blessing. So I do look forward to reading about how that comes about. Assuming it does, seeing as Coop said he would fund it himself if he had to.
I also enjoyed Delaney and her character and her support of Becky. It was her first friend outside of the Reed Security group. And I was glad Becky had her support throughout everything that happened.
Now for the stuff that I did not like and that brought the rating down for me.
1. The 17 year old daughter being raped was unnecessary for the storyline. She could have been attacked and beaten and still had the same outcome of dad's wrath without having to be raped in the book. Anyone hurting his daughter would have seen Coop's rage. And she could have still had the training center for women/girls idea too. She did attack the guys pretty well considering everything that was going on.
2. Coop treating Becky like absolute trash after helping the daughter escape was not cool either. And I'm glad Cap and everyone kicked his arse for it too! It was deserved! She never stopped loving him either. But did struggle with his change of heart (rightfully so). For Coop to decide he loves Becky again after she was attacked and almost died... I felt like she really forgave him too quickly considering how he treated her. 😔 He was seriously the worst guy ever. Threatening her and holding her by her throat and hitting her against the shelves? No, thank you. He needed more groveling to go to win her back. And yes, I get that he was by her side at night when she woke up, but he also left... One foot out the door as Becky pointed out. Sigh.
3. Delaney's death. She didn't need to die. I mean, I'm sure she needed to for Tony's story (the naming conventions on these books are quite ridiculous at this point... Names, nicknames, random names, blah. I can't keep up). But, I really appreciated her as a new character and friend to Becky when she was cast aside by Coop. Delaney had Becky's back the whole time. So for her to die so brutally and then for Becky not even be able to attend the funeral? Horrible aspect. I am expecting the take down of the psychopath to be in the next book. And I'm surprised the old grumpy neighbor didn't catch on to who was doing it. 🤔🤷🏼♀️
Those three things were just not what I expected for the series and i felt like they brought down the story.
Wow, that was freaking intense. I was expecting that. I couldn’t freaking put down the book for a single minute. I had to finish it because I was very invested with the story and whether Coop and Becky where going to make it in the end because at certain points I wasn’t sure after certain even occurred.
Review:
I know that this books were meant to be read in order, but I didn’t feel like I missed anything starting with this one despite it being book 22 in the series. I could surmise and refer what happened in previous books. Though I’m curious to go back and read the other stories in the series after reading this one.
Going into this I was looking for a groveling romance and from what the synopsis described that sounded like it had it. It had it twice in fact, though the second grovel got to me more than the second because that one was more intense. That was when the waterworks and the feels. It’s the feeling that I wanted to get, but I was expecting that there was going to be a second grovel. It was worth it in the end.
Before the second grovel though, I was a little uncertain how I was feeling of how the story progressed. Coop definitely needed to grovel early after he was just seemingly “using” her for sex and nothing more, and Becky wanted more and she called him out. Then he decided to show her he wanted more and groveled by giving her all of himself. I liked that and they connected in every way possible. They went at it like rabbits, and that became the focus of their relationship for awhile. It was almost too much and I was unsure about it.
Then the thing with Kayla (his daughter) happened, and I was shocked. I definitely wasn’t prepared for it. This when things went off course for me a little bit especially since that became the conflict between Becky and Coop. I really didn’t like that. I would have preferred something else. It was alot and it was brutal especially his reaction. It was understandable, but it was just a lot.
The second grovel got it back on track and gave me my feels. It was satisfying. It made the other stuff I was unsure of worth it in the end.
TW: rape, assault, violence

Coop and Becky's love story was amazing. A great addition to the series. It had so much. The emotions you felt them all. Love pain torture loss hate betrayal tears laughter etc. Wow!! The suspense and unexpected.
Decisions made leads to unexpected events. Coop's daughter Kayla abuse it was devastating I cried. Maggie being there for her shared with Kayla the torture she experienced how she survived. Cap telling Coop how Maggie put up a strong front but how he heard her pain every night her strength, fight and determination helped her move on.
Becky so lost from after a bad incident and Coop being an ass was heart breaking and top it off the tragedy that followed. I love Cap the way he takes charge always their for his team. Such a leader. Always there at the right time.
The Reed Team strong bond unbreakable. Still hilarious love them. This story touched me in so many ways. Cried a lot laughed too! How they are always there for each other. Have each others back. Great series Giuliani look forward to Tony.
Omg fuuccckkkk Coop. Wow what a fucking dick!!! I have never hated a character more than him. Becky deserves so much better than him. He is so hot and cold and his rage is out of control. He literally has no redeeming qualities. He left his woman and shit all over her and only wanted her back when she was fighting off the Grim Reaper. Then he pussied out and wouldn’t even stay in the hospital the first week?! Fuck him.
I loved Cap in this book. Man he’s really grown in this series. Becky- girl stood her ground and realized Coop was being a dick. I actually wished she wouldn’t forgive him in the end and I never do that no matter how much they suck. The whole plot with Kayla was just weird. This horrible thing happened and she is acting like the adult instead of Coop. Oh did I mention, I fucking hate Coop? Yeah the whole Kayla plot cemented that for me. He’s a worthless man
Oh my lord this was truly an amazing story. Coop and Becky finally start their relationship and at first it’s a struggle , because of what he went through. He wouldn’t let her touch him because of his ugly burn scars (from his time in the military) She finally breaks through to him to have something heart wrenching happen to someone and that’s it for them. It tears them apart. But something else happens and let’s just say you need to read this book. It was funny at times , and then so sad and emotional at most. I almost cried a few times. This was so well written I give kudos to Giulia for this and thank her for sharing this with us all.

Coop is a very emotional story. Coop and Becky are the main characters in this story. If you have read previous stories in the book you have read about Becky and Coop. Well this is their story. Its an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, cried and ahhh. I have to say this story has triggers. The last half of the book turns nail biting, crying scenes. My heart broke for Coop, his daughter Kayla, Becky and Tony Tacos. Overall a great addition to the series. Happy Reading 📚
Coop is my least favorite of all the Reed Security guys. His attitude is molded by his horrific life events and as bad as they are, it doesn't justify his treatment of the people in his life. Becky deserves everything good. She is amazing . I've never been more disappointed in Reed Security guys until this novel. TONS of potential triggers in a wide variety here so be aware going in.
This is a very emotional read. A great ugly cry book that will require a big box of tissue and probably ice cream or chocolate. Coop and Becky just can’t get on the same page and when they do something happens. This book has heartbreaking and heart wrenching moments and will have you screaming at the author “No! You can’t let that happen!” I absolutely loved this one!
I was really looking forward to this book. I wanted to know how the badass Becky found her man and fell hard. I was somewhat disappointed with the story.
There were times I loved Coop but at other times not so much but I didn’t really connect as much with Becky in this book despite loving her in all the other books.
Coop has been on the run with his daughter but now she is growing up. She is testing limits and whilst Coop is struggling to let her grow, Becky is there. He can’t let her all the way in but when he does, she ruins the trust. When she needs him though will he be there?
I was so disappointed with this book! I liked Becky but damn did she mess up! Then he returned it!!
This one ran the race of emotions. Laughter, drama, epic sadness and emotional torture. I laughed like an idiot. Cried like I was the one being hurt. Great read. Would've liked to see a more complete ending, but I know GL usually ends the books abruptly and they kind of continue on in the next.
I have never left a review up to this point. But this Reed Security had me emend to it I stayed up all night, half of it with tears running down my face. I loved this book
Coop & Becky sure go through a lot. This book is a roller coaster of good, bad & down right evil! But you'll be turning the pages as quickly as possible to find what happens next!
Coop and Becky have been dancing around each other since they met. Her can't get past his scares and she just wants him for the man he is. When the unthinkable happens not once but twice can their love bring them together? Or will their mistakes be too much?
I could not wait for this book! I thought it would be back to back fighting, but I never expected the amount of sadness and emotions. I seriously caught myself tearing up, so warning when reading this book have some tissues.
I've read all the Reed Security series books 1 - 21 and I have to say that I'm a Reed Security junkie!! LOL Just can't get enough of these men!! Every read just keeps getting better and better.
This book truly leaves the reader wanting NOTHING but more. It has joy, happiness, sadness, tragedy, angst, and it spoke to me on a raw and personal level.
