Get a proof reader

The stories were enjoyable but the number of missing words and misspellings made me want to just find the end already. These would improve greatly with the services of a proof reader. I doubt I will read anymore by this author.

I have read all the stories, except the one using references to Poe's the Raven, before. However, KL is my favorite author, so I enjoy reading her books 📚 over and over.

Serpent.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A wonderfully exciting medieval  action/adventure and romance.

Penelope is William de Wolfe's youngest daughter.  She has always been spoiled, and is used to getting her own way. That has generally been doing all the things her brothers did, including training to be a Knight.  When her father tells her she must marry a man picked out for her by King Edward all her protests are in vain. The whole family undertake the very dangerous journey to Wales.

Bhrodi de Shera  is a Welsh prince.  His castle is on the island of Anglesey.  He has his own reasons for accepting the daughter of Edward's most powerful and famous Knight.

Bhrodri is known as the Serpent, but there is more than one serpent guarding his castle. The one that lives in the marshes is terrifyingly believable  Some of his own vassals are very unhappy about his choice of bride.

This book grabs you on the first page and doesn't let go. The historic detail of the battles and treating the wounded is fascinating. The family dynamics draw you in until you are crying or laughing with them.  We meet old friends from other books. So many heroes in one place. Our heroine is just as strong as any of the men, although she soon discovers there are some benefits to being a woman when the right man is around. There is also a sexy love story in here as well.

I can't get enough of books like this , but I  know where to find them.

Lady of The Moon.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Samarra le Brecque is mercenary known as the Lady of the Moon.  Daughter and sister to pirates she lives by the blade,  and is very good with it.  She has been hired to abduct a Knight and deliver him to his bride.

Rhodes de Leybourne is a fierce and formidable Knight.  His father has been trying to force him to marry for years.  He is just as determined that he will not marry the woman he is betrothed to.

Our heroine is brave,  strong and for a mercenary,  honourable.  She will have no trouble with a single Knight.

Our hero loves his father,  but cannot do as he demands.

This is wonderful fun.  Full of adventure and realistic historical lifestyle.

It is the start of a new series from an author that I automatically buy.  Even without reading the blurb. I know I'm going to get a great read.  I have not been disappointed yet.

I loved it.

Tender is the Knight.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After the death of his father in battle,  Sir Dennis d'Vant has had enough.  Years of fighting with their neighbours just results in so many deaths,  it's time to try something else.  Our hero could have even more trouble on his hands than he's bargained for with this mad idea.

Lady Ryan de Bretagne is impulsive and headstrong. When she decides what to do, nothing and no-one will stop her,  not even her weak lungs.

This is an action packed story filled with unusual characters and surprising outcomes. Royal connections and family secrets can cause the desire for revenge.

A very exciting medieval romance.

I loved it.

Deep into Darkness.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a spooky tale set in two different times.  First a present day American ghost hunter is exploring Scotland's ghostly legends.  Then back in time to our medieval heroine finding shelter from the storm for herself and her husband while he is sick.

She will discover the truth behind what will become legend.

All of us who have ever watched horror films will be screaming at our heroine "don't go down there !!".

An unusual story from this author but just as much fun and well written as all her work.

The last story in this fabulous collection.

All great fun.

5 STARS

A wonderful well written Medieval Romance Bundle full knights, war horses, magnificent castles, & some eye catching awesome swords. Of course, it tells of fierce fantastic creatures, Kings of old, & legendary Knights.

In these many tales women that are known beauties, women warriors, to humble & plain are thrown into power plays they often knew nothing about. Furthermore, they were told, not asked, because their wants didn't matter in that time period.

However, in most of our medieval romance fare love & friendship did blossom.

I read historical romance novels for a reason which is not because the first and last chapter is set in the present day!
Serpent **** I said it before: I read historical romance novels for a reason ...
Lady of the Moon ***
Tender is the Knight *** (3½ stars) It seemed almost like a farce to me at a certain point 😃
Deep Into Darkness ** (2½ stars) I said it before: I read historical romance novels for a reason ...

By the way, ‘and then some’ is used often by Kathryn Le Veque. I wonder if was a popular expression ...

I’ve been longing to read a book by this author for a while but I’ve never got around to it until. This is a brilliant introduction to Katherine’s writing and talent. I thoroughly enjoyed all 4 of the stories in this collection. The Serpent is my favourite but all 4 stories have strong male and female characters. Each one is interesting with an intriguing plot and often surprising outcomes. Exciting stuff!

Thoughts: Most of these were excellent. Takes awhile to get through at over 900 pages, but it's worth it. Some really good medieval romances in here, one or two that sort of fizzled but they're brief. Recommended
