I have read every book in this series and I feel the author(s) are coming right off the rails and into the weeds. The last couple of books have me thinking about making an excel spreadsheet so I can track the endless names and myriad of generations. It is boring!! I miss the earlier books where we could concentrate on the characters (meeting Walt), the story line with Lily, etc. There is a disconnect with the present characters and I miss them. I think this is the end of the line for me. This will be my Ghost of a Memory.
I've read all of the series so far and enjoyed them even though the storyline is the same throughout with little additions BUT this is one book too many!
The plot evolves around some pointless characters that have never made a previous appearance, it was hard to follow at times though the denouement does make it all clear.
I got to the stage that I was hoping the main characters wouldn't survive!
Then it transpired that we now have to expect a baby (not unsurprisingly); this may save the series but I'm not sure I'm bothered anymore.
I've read all the books and this one was a big disappointment. I like the books better when Walt was a ghost. I had trouble finishing it and it will probably be my last one. Hope I can find another author who will write a "ghost" story like she did in the beginning
I've read every book in the haunting Danielle series and enjoyed every one of them. This one however had me so confused with the characters that I completely lost track of who is who. Too many Bo's and Earl's introduced to quickly. Hopefully book 28 will be back to the normal style
This one was a Rollercoaster and all sorts of crazy and yet so interesting all at once. And all I can say now after the way this one ended gave me all the feels ans excitement for the future for Danielle and Walt 😉 if you've read this one, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about and I'm super excited for their now future!! 😍
Was not my favorite of the series! I have loved this series but it feels like she is running out of things to write and stories are getting harder to follow.
Author: Bobbi Holmes aka Anna J. McIntyre Narrator: Romy Nordlinger
This is book #25 in the series and it’s the first I’ve given a 5 star rating to in the series. The writing and narration were both superb!
I love these books the way I love binge watching certain tv shows. The main secondary characters are sometimes a big part and sometimes stay in the background. But, the two main people (Walt & Danielle) are always front and center.
I don’t consider this one a cozy mystery - it is more of just a mystery book and parts are chilling.
Danielle: A medium that can see & communicate with ghosts. She is a cheerful woman with a heart of gold and a penchant for putting her nose into dangerous life-threatening situations. She’s part detective, part therapist, part law breaker, and part caretaker.
Walt: Her ghost turned real husband who is full of quirky but loveable traits.
Other mediums: Chris, Heather, Evan Chris: A gorgeous billionaire philanthropist, part crime solver, part do-gooder Heather: A newly minted medium with wit and the ability to come up with ways to save everyone Evan: The police chief’s youngest son
Ghosts: Marie and Eva are the main 2 ghosts. Secondary ghosts: Dolly, Wilbur, Beau, Earl
Danielle’s best friend is Lily. Lily is married to a writer named Ian, and they have a child together named Connor
Cops: Police Chief Edward Macdonald, Sgt. Joe Morelli (dating Ian’s sister Kelly), and officer Brian Henderson Nosy Neighbor: Pearl Huckabee Waitress at Lucy’s diner: Carla (part gossip, part crime solver) Good friend: Adam Nichol’s (Marie’s grandson) and his girlfriend Melanie (Danielle’s cousin)
Wow! Danielle in danger again and this time we almost lose Walt. Beau Stewart wants to run for senate and keep his fortune. His family fortune is based on property his great grandfather stole from Wilber Porter. Then he and his son, Ambrose, killed Wilbur. They were actually serial killers, killing their wives, a brother, a future daughter in law and a husband to name but a few. Beau Stewart finally buys the property from Edgar Barr, his uncle, and he and his son Brad go about clearing up all the old skeletons. The basis for all the panic stemmed from Walt's novel, Moon Runners. Beau thought that the current Walt had a diary from the former Walt that contained info on the murder of Charlene, the half black, finance of Beau Jr. Ghosts abound in this novel as all the ghosts of the skeletons were still on the property not realizing they were dead. Danielle fixed that after they barely averted death.

There are no complaints from me about this book! I loved it like I love them all. Having just finished reading the previous book, where a film crew was planning on making Walt's book into a movie, this one followed right along in a natural way. The mystery once again involves Walt's book. Walt insists that his book is fiction but the events actually happened in his first life. Since no one alive could possibly know what happened, several different factions decide that Walt Marlowe, the first, must have left a diary that Walt Marlowe, the second, used to write his book. For various reasons the two factions each search for the non-existent diary. One group will stop at nothing to get it! The story was great. The mystery right-on. All ends tied up neatly.
I can't wait to read the next book- although I will be running out of them soon.
Danielle and Walt were able to take a vacation, but, as usual, there was trouble waiting for them at home. Someone broke into their house looking for Walt's diary that they think he used to write his book; however, Walt didn't keep a diary. At about the same time another random ghost showed up on the beach. His cowering in the nursery closet because he thinks Lily is a witch with a demon called Alexa, that turns on and off the lights and plays lullabies, is funny, esp. when Marie shows up and he thinks she's Alexa. The usual gang of friends is in this 25th book of the series, which continues to be fast entertaining cozy mystery reading.

This is a page turner times a million! Never start a Haunting Danielle ghostly mystery before bedtime! I've become so addicted to this series and its characters! I'm really happy Max, the cat, had a bigger role in the story line!! The story line I'm this mystery was fantastic! Loved all the twists and turns! Of course, I love all the ghostly characters! This is a fabulous, entertaining, and enjoyable series. Just don't start it before bedtime!!😁😁😁😁
With as many books as there are, the stories don't get old and the characters are just as memorable as ever. Two things I wish for: 1. Betty White's family receives the money that Beau's ancestors should have paid Wilbur. 2. That they are kinder to Pearl. Giving her food at Christmas shouldn't be a one-time event. Although it was Nicholas Bari's doing. I can see why they can invite her to their gatherings where they are discussing paranormal events, but there are other ways of being a good neighbor.
New form of family tradition. Each generation at least one family member kills another family member or their girl friend/spouse...mostly on the male side. It may take years but the book store owner as Wilber's last living relative should have the rights to the land he never officially sold. Glad Charlebe's relatives finally found out what happened to her and found closure.
This was a great read and seriously dangerous one for Walt & Danielle. If there are serious sick killers around, they always find their way to Marlow house. I couldn't put it down, lost sleep..lol. I highly recommend this book and series. I purchased the Audible book with the the Kindle addition, which allowed me to drive out of town and not stop the book. Excellent narration.
This book is brilliant. A long held family secret leads to Walt and Danielle being injured. What is the connection between Walt previous life and the sauce senator buying old family property outside of Fredrickport? The people around them attempt to find out, but will they arrive in time? A must read for lovers of the supernatural world.
This one just wasn't for me. It should have been. A medium who is married to a ghost(?). This should have been a slam dunk but I really didn't like this one. So much so that I removed any books by this author from my library wish lists. I only finished it because it was a short audio when listened at 2x speed. LOL
I love this series, I love the character growth, and I hate the continued villain. Why can't there just be a new ghost without someone having to kill someone simply for wealth or greed. At this point, that plot is a little played out. I'm still going to finish this series, but I can see it coming to an end.
I could not put the book down once I started reading. Before I start reading I make sure I have blocked out time in my schedule. Now I have to wait for the next book which I have already pre ordered.
As always the Haunting Danielle series is a page turned waiting for more. Every book is like catching up with a good friend or family member. You want to hear more. Absolutely one of my favorite authors of all time.
OMG.....I was up till 2am wanting to finish the book. Which I did!!! This was great.....lots of but who’s and why’s. I absolutely love the writing.....💜 Now I have to wait for the next book to come out. Happy Reading :)
The first half of the book was a little slow paced, but it was well worth it because the last half of the book started to pick up. Then, wham! Could not put it down. What a mystery! Very different.
Yet again this series has held me spell bound until the end. I love love love this series. The stories pull you in, and won't let you go until you breathlessly finish the book. I can't wait for the next one to come out.
