2-2.5 ⭐️⭐️
I went with the hope that the book was going to be sweet, angsty and really steamy ( since the name itself says it ) about a hot firemen but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The story itself was okay and totally predictable.
It’s about a girl who moves to a new town running away from her ex. Then she meets the firefighter Gabe who is instantly drawn to her and wants her to be his forever. Since her track record has been awful when it came to men, she was a little skittish since Gabe had player written all over him.
Eventually he melts her down and shows her that he’s all in and is a decent guy. There’s little drama which involves her ex but is dealt with real quick.
Things that I liked
1. The hero Gabe was sweet and caring and very patient.
2. The sex scenes were steamy.
3. The writing was good with a lot more potential.
Things that ruined it for me were
1. The heroine was really indecisive which got a bit annoying. One minute she wants to slow things down and the next minute she’s in love.
2. Her pushing him away got a bit boring and repetitive.
3. I couldn’t seem to see the connection or chemistry between the two.
Only reason I finished this was because it was like a hundred pages. The story had a lot potential and hopefully the series gets better with the next book.

I liked the H a lot. Sweet but bossy, all-in, alpha hotness. The story was well written though it could have used one more look by a proofreader. What I didn’t like was the h. She was so wishy-washy and back and forth. The way she acted toward the H and all her reservations about men had me thinking she had some horrific backstory that would explain her serious issues toward the H who was nothing but sweet and patient with her. Not saying a stalker isn’t serious but it just didn’t work for me. I just didn’t connect with her at all. But I did enjoy the read.

This is a funny book, I've never seen a man work that hard to get a woman but I will say Gabe give it his all, Riley was very flustered on how Gave is. She doesn't know how to receive his attentions but that nagging feeling, her attraction made up her mind about Gabe, anyone reading this book will have some laughs for sure💫🔥💫🔥

I love this author her books are always great fun and steamy as hell to read. This book was a quick read with some angst and lots of love Gabe was just all things gorgeous and Riley was very courageous.

Awesome story
I loved this story. L. Nicole has a wonderful way of bringing characters to life and putting them together. Gabe and Riley are a perfect example of this. They found a beautiful happy ever after ending

It's a quick read about a firefighter named Gabe and a dispatcher named Riley. From the moment Gabe saw her, he wanted her. However, Riley had moved to this town to get away from a crazy ex and wasn't very trusting. Gabe isn't about to let that stop him and finally wins her trust and she realizes he has her back and proves he is her forever guy. But Riley has some secrets.
There is a couple twists to the story that you'll have to read to find out.
It's a sweet story and as long as you're not looking for lots of steam, you're good.
This is a new author for me and it was just ok.

Holy smokes! This is a great, quick read with a super hot, super caring, super sweet fireman, Gabe and the perfectly adorable Riley. There’s a great bit of suspense wrapped up in the story and definitely a lot of steam! I was hooked from the start!

Due to a crazy ex, Riley is very leary when she meets Gabe and he voices his interest in her. Despite her reservations, he doesn't give up and eventually wins her trust. When her ex follows her and causes problems, Gabe had Riley's back and proves he's her forever.
