Four children of King's borned from three different mother and a father who care less about them. Even from his grave the old King can only hurt them. This boxset is the King's children story of finding them self and their happiness.
In Tycoon, we have a second chance/arrange marriage romance. Veronica/Ronnie get smack hard on her face when she learned her fiancee made a deal with her father to marry n finally have a son, heir in change of an acre of land and her father's company. Because no man would ever want a simple jane if not for her father's money behind her.
Five years after, when daddy King death and the will was read, faith has wicked sense of humour for Veronica. Or should i say, her dad. For she n her sisters werent left anything in his will.
Force to bend to help her sisters, Veronica made a deal with her evil ex fiance. An arrange marriage. But not like last time. Now, she know better he is a liar and no way she would be vulnerable and love him.
The bodyguard bring the baby in the King family. Sabrina is the beuty blond cowboy princess who's known for her shallow mind in the hollywood. But when her father died, she left that life behind and come home. Atleast that what she presented to her sisters and the world. Beside no one would believe she have a real life stalker who scared her to death. Not even Garret, the town sherrif. Also the only man she ever have crush on.
The Bastard bring an enemy to lover romance between the ba*rd son and also the heir of King dynasty and the ice princess lawyer. His whole life Dylan only know hate from his parents. The way they treat each other, with his mom being one of his dad mistress, Dylan choose to served in military as soon as he can. He didnt realise he left behind three younger sister who adored n hero worship him. He wasnt even there to help when the will was read. But when he finally come home, one cold and super hot at the same time, lawyer betrayed him so bad, he almost missed the chance of love in the middle of the storm.
Cowboy is Bea's story. She is the black sheep in the family. Or so she was lead to believe her whole life by her father n step mom. While Ronnie, her older sister always there to safe her. Brin the youngest step sister who always more like enemy to her unperfectness. And Dylan the lost heir that just couldnt care less about them all these years. Bea is broken. She believe her life is and would be nothing but failure. Thats why she never put hope on her self. And would never have people have hope on her. Until one hot cowboy and their voyeur morning rendevouz.
In Bea and Cody end of story, i'll say also a happy ending for all King's children. After all the angst, that i find just mildly. All the steamy scenes. With the charachters chemistry, i give a whole 4.5 star for the boxset. Fun and easy to read.
Theres a bonus story of Jack and Natalie story. A novella that perfectly fit the amount of angst and steamy. This second chance novella make a fine bonus and perfect ending in the King world
I read this series because O'Keefe was supposed to write like Amy Harmon but I don't think she does. I was not overly thrilled about reading all four books but I made myself check them all out. The Tycoon and the Cowboy weren't bad books just not my taste.
The Tycoon is the story of the oldest King child and her fated fiancé Clayton. They were engaged five years before their marriage when Veronica or Ronnie as she's known finds out Clayton is being paid to marry her. Five years later he convinces Ronnie that he really loves her and wants her. The story is good. This is just after the monarch of the King family dies and leaves everything to Clayton.
Bodyguard is the story of Sabrina and Garrett. Brina as she's known is a Hollywood Starlite that has quit her show to come home and try something different. She's always been in love with Garrett and she tries hard to get his attention. Once she has it he accuses her of setting everything up so he has to guard her. She is upset and leaves only to be taken by her stalker and it's up to Garrett to get her back.
Bastard is the story of Dylan King. He was in the military for over ten years and he has just learned his sister Sabrina has been kidnapped and he's going home to save her. When he gets there he finds out that his sister has been rescued and that he is in line to inherit all the King money and Industry. He trades millions to have a chance with the lawyer, Maddy. Maddy talks Dylan into trading millions for a week with her. How lame. But the plot continues and he finds out she was paid to make him not inherit. They end up at the King Land and then disaster strikes. Dylan does everything to try and find Maddy in the storm of a decade. She just happens to be out in it trying to get a little girl to the hospital. Who goes out in the storm of a decade?
Cowboy is about the second King daughter. She is a little weird with her exhibition's nature but to each their own. Bea is on her own trying to find herself when she sees a cowboy she just has to show herself to. The cowboy turns out to be a rodeo star from her school, Cody. Cody and Bea continue their morning shows until Cody has to work in the mornings. They meet in Bea's place of work and Bea knows who he is but Cody doesn't know who she is. This only continues until you find out how broken Cody really is. But an old friend of Cody's comes through at the end and straightens out Cody and then Bea is prized for who she is.
Jack and Natalie's story is next and it's surprisingly good. Jack and Natalie are married young and her parents do everything they can to separate them. After being gone in school off and on for years Natalie comes home and wants Jack back. They have always been true to each other since they were each other's firsts. Jack is not convinced Natalie is going to stay around but he also doesn't admit at first that it was his way or the highway. Natalie finally gets Jack to give her a second chance.

Overall, this was a decent collection, with books 1 and 4.5 being my favorites. The stories flowed together as a whole saga remarkably well considering the multiple authors. I've rated and reviewed each story below.
1. The Tycoon - 5 Stars Far more enjoyable than I expected. The story was both heartbreaking and surprisingly gripping, and I had trouble putting it down.
2. The Bodyguard - 4 Stars I liked this one, especially getting to see Sabrina's vulnerability. Garrett is kind of a jerk, although he has his reasons. Decent story overall, though a few grammatical errors pulled me out of the story a bit.
3. The Bastard - 4 Stars The writing is good, but the romance is a bit off. Lots of lust, not much love, which is disappointing. I actually liked the MCs, but i just wish more time had been focused on fleshing out their relationship and less on the damn estate.
4. The Cowboy - 4 Stars I am in a weird place with this one. I certainly enjoyed it, but it was surprisingly hard to like Bea in the beginning. Cody, for all his jerkiness, was oddly much more likeable. Regardless, the fools were perfect for each other, which made for an enjoyable read.
4.5. One Last Chance - 5 Stars I was shocked at just how much I loved this one. The MCs and their history was well fleshed out. I could even feel their pain at times. Enjoyable read.
The Tycoon - 5 stars The Bodyguard - 2 stars The Bastard - 2.5 stars 1. I liked Maddy as a character until she was willing to sleep with Dylan to get a partnership in her firm. That she was willing to do so made no sense to me in the context of the story; she was so ashamed of sleeping with her law professor to get a good grade yet she was going to do exactly the same thing again. 2. The partners may not have offered her a bonus for getting Dylan to sign the papers but they did dangle a partnership in front of her and she jumped at the chance. The Cowboy - 2 stars One Last Chance - 3 stars I enjoyed this book but I found it confusing. Maybe it was because it was so short and things just weren't clearly explained. In the third chapter, Jack said to himself, "A year since I'd seen my wife. Six months before that. Two months before that. Five before that.", making it sound like Natalie had come back and left him multiple times. Yet, the story only addresses the one time that she left him to go to culinary school in Paris. All of the other times are ignored and never explained.

A separated set of siblings from a dysfunctional rich family. Two full sisters, one half sister & one half brother. Four different love stories + a bonus at the end from a non family member. We begin with Veronica's story the eldest sister, then Sabrina the youngest & then comes Dylan the brother & eldest of them all, Bea the middle sister comes last. I love each of their love stories & the flash backs to their pasts. I would have liked more "present" day stuff involving them all in each book than there was. Also as with a lot of books I dislike the big gaps at the end before the epilogues. I always want to experience those missing years of the characters stories. In this case to see the siblings bond with each other as well as the new spouses. I thought the bonus book was a lovely addition as through Bea & Cody the reader comes to know & love Jack & can't help but want to know his story & I was happy we got that even if it was more of a summary.
This is my first with these authors and overall I enjoyed them. My only suggestion is that if you are going to write a series with another author, maybe there should be some fact checking. I found errors in hair colour, eye colour, errors in character names and what was being worn. It just takes away from the books because then I’m going back to see if I originally read it wrong. Also, there were some minor spelling mistakes.
However, the stories were interesting enough that I would read from them again.
Do like it when a set of authors write a mini series around a family and put them together in a box set. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the books although my favourites were the first and last. Wasn’t sure about Beas story as she hadn’t come over as so sexual in the first three books. That said enjoyed them but would have liked a bit more information about certain events.
Four siblings that have had ups in downs in the family dynamic. When their father passed away he screwed the girls in their inheritance, but each of them have come together to help each other. Each finds happiness and love and they bring back their half brother to the family.
Four books with bonus material. I read this swipe back separately. It's still an awesome read. Arch book is filled with passion, dramatic, angsty and hopeful. The bonus material made me love it even more. This family and the people they love will draw you in completely.
This series has a little bit of everything and I loved it. The overall theme was carried out brilliantly by all the different authors, it felt like the same one wrote it. Complicated couples, family issues, hot chemistry, laugh out loud moments, truly a great series.
I enjoyed all 5 stories, the characters and the settings. What I didn't need was the extent of the graphic details of their sex. Especially the emphasis on wet wet wet. It got in the way of the story and was a consistent theme. Steamy romance? sure. Wet and drippy as a state of being? TMI
I loved all four books in this series the storyline flows easily. You won’t want to put the book down. Each of the books exposed the real life family experiences for each child born to rich parents whom don’t appreciate their children or show any respect for them or their feelings. Must read if you love HEA endings.
This series is amazing. It goes over all the siblings as well as Jack. The way the story is written is amazing Nothing is left on the back burner to simmer. The characters are very well developed and relatable. The storyline is very believable. I really enjoyed the whole set!
Another favorite series in a boxset!! What is not to love. I will say The first book Tycoon by Molly O'Keefe is what series me to read the series, but it was the "Bodyguard" that made me fall in love with the king Family. 3 different pulled together and created an incredible series. You have to read this!!
A really entertaining and enjoyable compilation box set. It introduces to all of the siblings, finding out more information about their family members in each story. Absolutely brilliant.
That series is definitely a reread keeper. I loved all the stories . There were a few editing mistakes. The emotional saga really made you reflect on alot of life ups and downs.
I enjoy these stories very much but there was grammar and spelling errors and extra words added where there shouldn't have been not sure who proofread these story they didn't do a great job. But all in all the stories where good.
This was a great series! I loved having all four siblings and extra material in one book! It was a great series and great way to learn about new authors to me!! Thank you
Oh wow this was a fantastic series that packs quite a wallop and keeps going and holy moly how and insynced each story was flowing seamlessly from one to the next.
Four books, three authors, and hours of reading! Couldn't put them down! The King family is really something! All wrapped up at the end and HEAS all around.
Book 1 - The Tycoon - 4 stars Book 2 - The Bodyguard - 4 stars Book 3 - The Bastard - 3 stars Book 4 - The Cowboy - 3 stars Book 4.5 - One Last Chance - 4 stars
I laughed, I smiled, I felt their pain, I felt their joy, I even cried when Cody reunited with Bonnie. Everything I wanted in the stories was there and more.
I had read Tycoon by M. O'Keefe as it's own book a long time ago. But I had never read the others in the series. There was so much going on, that at times I wanted to put it down and walk away, AND then I wanted to pick it right back up to see what twists and drama were coming next! I wasn't sure how it would work to have different authors write a series together. It was great! The characters and storylines played so well together that they didn't feel at all disjointed. Loved the bonus at the end, it explained so much about Jack who played an important role in Bea's story.
