That’s what they whisper as I pass their cells.
Ha. Guess what bastardos? I’m Rosalie Oscura, champion underground cage-fighter and freaking Alpha Werewolf from the infamous Oscura Clan. My family wrote the book on criminal organisations and I’ll be ruling this place by the time the next moon rises.
Papà always said my hot head would land me in here one day. The supernatural prison they call Darkmore Penitentiary. Where they send the cruellest, most dangerous Fae in Solaria. Like me apparently.
I’ve always had a thing for Alpha males, but the ones in here don’t have a thing for me. Especially after what I did to them…
I accidentally insulted a ruthless Lion Shifter and riled up his army of cutthroat followers.
I may have enraged the sinful Incubus who’s been condemned to isolation for committing an unspeakable crime.
Despite my better judgement, I taunted the sinister Vampire guard who has a dark vendetta against me.
And I kinda deceived the black-hearted Werewolf who rules over my sworn enemies. Though I blame fate for that one – bitch never was on my side.
I don’t know why I’m surprised, I always did have a knack for getting into trouble.

Alpha Wolf Status Abuse (It’s calling being a leader, idiotas)
Hijacking a Pegasus and riding him through a rainbow on private property (Totally his idea)
Coercing two members of law enforcement to dance naked on the top of their vehicle for seven hours (What’s not hilarious about that?)
Bank Robbery (All that gold was getting lonely stuck in that vault)
Murdering a security guard (Alright I regret that one, but it was a total accident)
So maybe I deserve to be in prison, but do you want to know a secret?
I planned to get sent to Darkmore Penitentiary.
I’ve come to break out the most notorious criminal in Solaria.
The trouble is, I need the help of the four Alpha males to get out of here. And they happen to hate each other almost as much as they hate me.
But I always did love a challenge.
How hard could it be to make them accept me as their leader?
This is an RH set in the world of Solaria after the events of Zodiac Academy and Dark Fae and contains some character crossover but can be read as a standalone series without having read the other books.

This book was so much ridiculous fun!
It's five years after whatever is going to end up happening in ZA and Rosalie Oscura gets herself thrown in to Darkmore Penitentiary on purpose to fulfill a promise to someone she made when she was a girl, My Queen is now a badass Alpha moon wolf and she struts into the cruelest prison in Solaria like she owns the place bc she is that kind of bad bitch. She immediately starts racking up love interests and enemies and crazy twisted sister shenanigans ensue.
List of New Boyfriends:
*Ethan Shadowbrook- Alpha Wolf of rival gang the Lunar Brotherhood. Super hot, kind of a jerk but also kind of a simp. We like him. 💙
*Roary Knight- Lion Shifter and leader of the Shades gang. Is Rosalies childhood love and ally, super sweet and noble. We like him too. 💙

❗️❗️I recommend reading the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac series before reading this one to have the background stories about the characters.
The alpha wolf hates her but can’t live without her, the vampire despises her but craves her in equal measure, the lion would do anything to protect her, and the incubus would give anything and everything to fuck her.
This book happens 10 years after the end of the Ruthless Boys series, and 5 years after the end of the Zodiac Academy series. After Roary got caught and thrown in jail because he stayed behind to help Rosalie during a theft, Rosalie made a vow to find a way to get him out of Darkmore Penitentiary. That is why she accepted a job to break Sin Wilder out of Darkmore. Her plan is simple: stealing some money, letting herself get caught and thrown into Darkmore, finding Roary and Sin, and escaping together.
The prison setting creates an interesting power dynamic between the main gangs, since they are separated in different blocs, but still have time together in common areas of the prison. The fact that they have moments in the week when they can use their magic and their order form allowed the author to still incorporate a lot of magic into the plot, and some good old fighting too since the inmates were allowed to fight each other during those moments.
Rosalie is a strong, determined, and very badass Alpha wolf. She rules the Oscura pack with her cousin Dante, and now that she is stuck in Darkmore, she will make sure to become one of the top dogs in the place. She is a fighter with a dark past, who doesn’t know how to back down, and I love her resiliency and how driven she is. What she wants, she gets. No matter what it takes. We can also see a more vulnerable side of her through a few flashbacks, and I liked that she has this side to her, even though she hides it well. It makes her more relatable and likable.
After the events that happened in the 4th book of the Ruthless Boys series, I was starved for more Roary, and I almost squealed out loud when he made his first appearance in this book. He is one of the Kings of Darkmore, leader of the Shades and while he shows a tough exterior to everyone in the prison, it was so sweet to see him reunite with “his little pup” and share some time with her. They know they can trust each other no matter what because of their shared past, and having true friends in prison is nearly impossible so it was good for them to have each other to rely on and also to get some comfort and love.
I already liked Ethan from what little I saw in the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac series, so I was happy to know that he was part of this series too. I am not sure yet that I like what he’s become in Darkmore. I miss his flirty and goofier side from the RB series, but at the same time, it makes sense that he’s tougher and colder now. I still like him a lot, and we’ll see how his character progresses in the rest of the series.
Even though the Oscura and Lunar kind of made peace in the Ruthless Boys series, in Darkmore the war between both gangs is still effective. They are not openly attacking each other, except when provoked, but they despise each other, and once you swear allegiance to one group, you can’t be seen with the other. I am curious to see how that will play out too, since Rosalie and Ethan are secretly involved together… It will either turn out to be a disaster like it was for Ryder in RB, or it will create a huge werewolf pack in the prison if they combine both packs.
Sin is the wild card of the whole prison. He is an incubus with two elements, making him the most powerful fae there, and the most unhinged too. He gives off crazy vibes big time, but he did make me laugh many times, and his insta-love with Rosalie was funny because it just fits with the over-the-top intensity he shows in everything he does (I am usually really annoyed with anything that resembles insta-love, but this one worked out well for me).
Cain is a vampire, and he is the top guardian of Darkmore. He dislikes Rosalie instantly, partly because she is an inmate, but mostly because of her attitude, but despite that, he can’t help feeling attracted to her and craving her blood… And you can bet that Rosalie will use this to her advantage any chance she gets. There is potential for a good redemption arc in the next books, and I can’t wait to see how things will play out between Rosalie and him.
This is a fast-paced, entertaining, and addictive read, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! I waited for a while before starting this book because I knew the series was not completed yet, but after rereading the Ruthless Boys series, I just couldn’t wait to get more of Rosalie, Ethan, and Roary.

Because there was a simple equation involved in claiming a hold over someone. First, you exposed their deepest desire. Second, you made sure you held it in your fist and used it to lure them closer, promising it, maybe even giving it up from time to time, while never relinquishing control of it. Because all the time you maintained your hold over it, you maintained your hold over them.

This is my second series in the Solaria universe and Supernatural Prison for Dark Fae takes place years after Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac.
In this new series, we follow Rosalie, Dante's baby cousin, all grown up and sent to Darkmore Penitentiary where all the big bads end up. But here's the thing, Rosalie might have fucked up but she did want to end up here. Her plan? Breaking out a crazy incubus and her childhood crush.
Now, let me just say that I find the blurb a wee bit misleading and if I hadn't already been crazy in love with the universe, I might have thought twice about reading it. Because here's the thing: if Susanne and Caroline are talented as fuck, what they manage extremely well are somewhat equal and balanced relationships. If one character hates another, be sure that the other will be polite enough to return the favor. And in Darkmore Penitentiary, none but one of Rosalie's potential mates could eventually enjoy seeing her dead. And then again, it would probably drive him insane in a few seconds -not that he would ever admit it.
The Lion would never hurt her. The Incubus is too deranged to think with anything else but his dick. The Wolf hates her but would burn the world for her. The Vampire... well the vampire is a serious problem and a psychotic motherfucker. Who knew the biggest threat would come from an officer and not an inmate?
What can I say, I just love how all of their relationships work. It was the case with Elise and her boys but Rosalie made it even more obvious with her True Alpha status. The constant fight for dominance with the men make it both healthy and utterly unhealthy; lust, love and hate have never been this blurred, we don't end with the dom/sub scenario that often feels forced.
I love it. I think you got my point.
But Darkmore Penitentiary was also a perfect mix of action, comedy, angst and sexual tension. We got enough hints from crossover characters to make me squeal and a huge bomb dropped by Ethan sent me spiraling. Hypothesis stack up not only about Supernatural Prison for Dark Fae but also for Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac and enough to overload my brain.
I love these characters, I love the writing, I love the universe, I love how each plot slowly weaves its web and I love how we are fare too engrossed to notice it before it's too late.
It's official, I eat, breathe and sleep Solaria.

Okay, I wasn't expect to enjoy this one to be completely honest. I wasn't a fan of Rosalie in Ruthless Boys but I'm actually slightly in love with her in this series.
I love that we're in a completely new setting within the world and I love the 'prison break' vibes.

One of my favorite series in the Solaria world.
Think Prison Break but smutty fantasy romance. That sounds like everything I didn't know I needed honestly.

- Sin Wilder is a porn star name. Think about it.
- Rosalie can run me over with a truck, a car, a motorcycle, and a tricycle and I would change her wheels for her and pay for it. With tip. And anything else she asked honestly.

It was a job getting that ARC too, I commented on the Facebook post requesting one the MOMENT IT WAS POSTED and I was still 82nd out of I think 100 ARCs...
3.5 stars, rounded up.
Rosalie is a great heroine. She's a dominant, highly sexualised, vicious take-no-prisoners werewolf, who allows herself to be imprisoned because she has a plan to break out a fellow prisoner for money. Also on the inside are her childhood crush, fated mate, and a sadistic prison guard.
This book is part of the authors' hugely sprawling, extended Fae universe. Sometimes that made it kind of confusing, because it's set a decade after the main series Zodiac Academy and it was hard working out how old each character was in relation to the other. Like, Rosalie says she's slept with two of the Celestial Heirs and I eventually realised she's only a year younger than them (I think) but I hope she hasn't slept with them AFTER they meet the twins, because Max is Geraldine's and Caleb and Darius are Tory's, so that would just give me anxiety... but anyway. Back to the book.
It lost a star and a half because in comparison to the heroine, the heroes were a little meh. They just couldn't really seem to keep up with her. It's a very long book, which bogs the tension down, and they seemed to pop in and out of the narrative a little bit.
Astoundingly, the authors are releasing another full-length book next month - a quarantine bully reverse hareme romance - which I look forward to! They must not sleep, I'm SO impressed.

Rosalie Oscura is a werewolf-a moon wolf who is the member of the Oscura family, who run a gang in Alestria, a city in Solaria. Rosalie has a plan to get into Darkmore penitentiary, the most notorious prison in Solaria for two reasons: to free a dangerous inmate who she has been paid to get out of there and to help the man she has loved since she was 14 escape, Rorary Night, who got arrested and ended up in Darkmore pernitentiary so that she could be safe after a heist that went wrong. She ends up in there sooner than she expected after accidently killing a guard in self defense while robbing a bank with her cousin Dante Oscura. Rosalie, who is very much a alpha female soon becomes attracted to four alpha males: commanding officer Mason Cain who's a vampire, Roary Night a lion shifter and the man she is still in love with after ten years, Sin Wilder an incubus who is the dangerous inmate she has been paid to get out of Darkmore penitentiary and Ethan Shadowbrook, a werewolf who is the leader of her family's rival gang The lunar brotherhood and therefore her mortal enemy but he is also the person she accidently mates with. I really enjoyed this book. Rosalie is not just a alpha female she is also a alpha wolf and you can see what a strong person she is, despite the scars literally and figuratively she has from her past.

She is strong, witty, and focused; a leader; knows what she wants, knows her worth; completely owns her past-present-and future; vulnerable when she needs to be; and superhuman yet utterly Fae.
One of my favourite things in this universe is seeing Rosa in all these stages between the ages of 13, 15, 19, and 26.
Though her cockiness was a bit uncalled-for in places, this is only book 1, so we have potential for character development.👸🏻
🪞Sin is the most delicious brand of crazy. The narration for his character does him so well. I was in love with him since his 1st chapter. He's an acquired taste, and his character is so unique. I do see him getting more in his own skin in future books.🪞
🐺Ethan's chemistry with Rosalie is top-notch. He has his own dilemmas and internal struggles, but even without what's going on between him and Rosa, he is such a gentleman meets asshole alpha in the best way possible. 🐺
🦁Roary and I had a journey, and the background I got on him in Ruthless Boys was so helpful in understanding him. He didn't sound in my head like the voice of his narrator, but I mean that narrator can only do so many impressions with the characters in this book.
Roary was the dutiful guardian friend in shining armour who we all know wants to be more but won't allow himself.🦁

Solaria universe connections: Zodiac Academy v Ruthless Boys v Darkmore Penitentiary
The timeline takes a bit of figuring out, but we kinda settled on DP being set 5 years after the last book of ZA (once I finish ZA, I'll come back for an update, but it feels like 7-10 years after The Awakening).
I find it super talented how Caroline and Susanne can create characters in the same universe who are so strikingly similar and different simultaneously. And the way they connect things with all the Easter eggs is like waking up on Christmas morning.
However, this drove me CRAZY. There was much foreshadowing but also so many confusing things that I was seriously asking myself what the hell was going on.
I had notes all over ranging from "WHAT?" "When did this happen?" "What happened?" to "WT actual F?"

I’m really excited to see where this story is headed. While I’m not a fan of reverse harem I do love anything these authors write. I’m here for the vibes. And I’m hardcore vibing with this book. I do like this series more than Ruthless Boys so far though, but I guess we’ll see how the other books progress!

Once again, Caroline and Susanne's books are amazingly addicting and I ended up reading this book in a single sitting! It was everything I wanted and more.
Rosalie is such a badass and omg I love Roary so much!! Also, redemption for Ethan? Was not expecting to kinda like him after Ruthless boys of the Zodiac but here we are ! And Cain... don't even get me started on him gosh
Also, that cliffhanger ending got me wanting to start the second book right away :D

I immediately loved this first book in the Darkmore Penitentiary series! The plot is so entertaining and so are all of the characters!
Rosalie has always been a BAD bish even when she has appeared in the previous spin-off books but this book definitely confirmed it!
I love all of the guys/love interests but Sin cracks me up with how unhinged and crazy he is. I also am REALLY intrigued by Cain, I can’t wait to learn more about him and his past, I have a feeling there’s some hidden trauma we don’t know about yet.

In this one I have to give a super giant honourable mention to Jake Bordeaux for the audiobook. Mainly Sin chapters. All his chapters were so funny and well written, but thanks to Jake I could really feel Sin’s insanity. 🍋
I fell in love with Ethan already in RB and to have him finally have his own chapters it is truly a pleasure. 🐺
Roary is sweet and a little too hard on himself, can’t wait for him to accept his own feelings. 🦁

This was just so much fun. I forgot how much I loved this universe. Even though I only got through three books of ZA, I loved the Ruthless Boys series and I have a feeling this series is gonna be the same.
This series takes place 10 years after Ruthless Boys (5 after ZA) and is about Rosalie, a moon wolf shifter (we don’t really know what all that means yet). I personally don’t think you have to read ZA, but it helps to know the world, but you do have to read ruthless boys. I think most of these characters are in that series.
Rosalie is just one unapologetic badass alpha FMC. She loves herself some alpha men, and because of that she knows what assholes they can be and just shrugs off their attitude. It’s great and so much fun to read. She holds her own and then some. I always feel when a FMC can match the Alpha male, it makes it much more entertaining.
These are just crazy fun books and I’m so here for it. So moving on to the next right away.

It's truly crazy how 2 ladies speak to my inner book muse, how they can throw me into a world and have me begging for more.
Rosalie is a badass FMC who has a mission one she will achieve no matter the cost. There are twists and turns that will have you begging and pleading for answers. There are 4 MMC that oooze character but Caroline and Susanne dont limit us to these characters alone, they allow us to be reeled into characters you can cringe at laugh at and want to cuddle with like there your best friend (cough, cough Pudding anyone)

I can't believe I was sitting on this book for months!!!
The story is about Rosalie, an alpha wolf shifter, who willingly gets caught and thrown into Darkmore Penitentiary, because she's paid to help break someone out. She soon finds Roary, a lion shifter who was her childhood crush. He was jailed 10 years ago, because he decided to save her life instead of his own after doing a "job". The penitentiary is filled with all kinds of criminals and she meets Ethan, the alpha from a rival wolf group; Cain, the vampire prison guard with a stick up his butt and Sin, the incubus she's paid to break out who has a few loose screws! The book follows her attempts at trying to find an escape plan along with her relationship with the men and everyone in the prison.
Rosalie is a bad-ass heroine! And the guys definitely DID NOT disappoint! This book has everything and it kept me entertained from start to finish! There were some hilarious moments in this book that got me cracking out loud! There's a scene where Sin tries to get Ethan to smuggle a rare plant up his butt to evade the guards. While Ethan kicked him away, Sin kept coming back to get him to roll over and take it in saying, "It will only need a push with my pinky" and they suddenly get noticed by a *shocked* deer shifter who was grazing nearby! I couldn't stop laughing at the image I conjured in my head after reading that! That being said, Sin is crazy!! You can never expect what he'll say next! And don't get me started on inmate, Plunger, who's fascinated with his butt. 😂😂I'm just super pissed with Cain! The way this book ended..ughhh teared me up!
This one's literally got so many tropes, the enemies to lovers, childhood crush, wolf mates, etc. Eventhough, it was long, I loved every minute of it! If you want to read something that will keep you hooked, check this one out! Definitely one of the best books I've read this year!!!💯

I think it helps that I had such a back list of books at my fingertips so I didn't have to wait (thanks Meg for the audios lollll) and I have ALWAYS been such a sucker for series that have multiple series from the same world with reoccurring characters.
This series in particular appealed to me after reading huge and dire battle scenes in ZA8 and even the several long big-scale conflicts that were in RB. Rosalie's goal is to break a few someones out of Darkmore. They are contained to Darkmore. Shady shit that hardly anyone knows about mayyyy be going on in the Psych Ward of Darkmore but again, we're still all just locked away in an underground prison.
I wasn't sure what to think about Rosalie after reading about her as a minor character in ZA but getting to know her better during RB helped me come to like her a lot. She's so strong and badass and if anyone is going to figure out how to truly break out of that place, it's going to be her. While we've only really scratched the surface of the men in this series, I'm already so interested to learn more about each of them. As of right now I think Ethan and Roary call to me the most but that might also be because we've seen more of them, previously. WE SHALL SEE.

I was going to wait to start these until I’d finished the zodiac academy series but I was craving the way these sisters write paranormal RH a la dark fae etc. (I miss Gabriel nox every day of my life) and I’m tired of getting gut punched by ZA

I love anything written in this world. The vibes were exactly what I’d expect from a series written by the twisted sisters. The writing and the plot isn’t outstanding, but the characters, the banter, and the spice is 10/10

Ethan Shadowbrook
How much more praise can I give Caroline and Susanne. Every book is more exciting. So Darkmore is a spinoff from Dark Fae we see Rosalie who is the FMC in this book and we are not disappointed either. We get another strong female lead who is kick ass with such an amazing sense of humor in her and she had some dark past. Rosa quickly became one of my all time favorite character. She is Dante's cousin so we also get a cross over from him in the book.
Because this is a spinoff series who else is joining the book Roary that is right guys Leon's older brother and also I am so glad as I liked him in Dark Fae series. He is our Lion shifter and I am loving that Rosa has him as a friend. We also get to see Leon in the book.
Then we have Ethan Shadowbrook who is in the Lunar Brotherhood and where have we heard this before with Ryder my absolute favorite character from Dark Fae. Ethan is also a wolf shifter and he is such an a** but also so sweet if that makes sense ha ha ha. But he is one of my favroties as well.
Then we have Sin Wilder who is a incubus who is a tall order of delicious and so funny and crazy.
Then we have Officer Cain who I like and who is Rosa's C.O. he has some dark past as well and let just say he is delicious as well.
In this book you have so much humor, steamy scenes, passionate moments, as well as touching and sweet moments....and another cliffhanger but the read is worth it. Once again I applaud these Authors for as fast as they write they never rush a story and that is what captivates me they make you feel as you are in the book experiencing everything with the characters.

Holy smokes!! This book just got me into the paranormal world vibes alright. I have not read any of the other books in the series, which I know I should have read Ruthless Boys and Zodiac Academy before this one, but wow!! I’m simply stunned by how amazing Caroline and Susanne are as authors!!
I was a bit confused in the beginning and didn’t really think I’d get into this type of book, not man was I wrong!!
There are werewolves, vampires, lions, alphas, mating, the works in my opinion. This all takes place in an underground prison in Solaria. What more can I ask for!?!
Well, there is romance, lust, a mysterious beast that roams at night, and a prison break in the horizon.
Rosalie is the main character and her men that will go to the depths of the world for her are Roary, Ethan, Sin, and Cain ( He just doesn’t know it yet)!
In their classic style, the book will end on a cliffhanger - so beware and be warned!
I seriously can’t believe I have not read the other series in their order of release, so after this one I’m going to go back in time and read their other two series that are a precursor to this one!

By the stars, I ADORE Rosalie. I went from “who’s this?!” in Zodiac Academic to liking her a lot in Ruthless Boys to frigging adoring her here. Not only is amazing to be back to Solaria, but to have a FMC like Rosa is something I might not be entirely deserving.
And the boys 😱 Cain’s first chapter was him pretty much just being an aßß and there I was thinking, “You’re awful. I want to keep you forever.” Roary is my little lion 🦁 and I’ve been loving his character since I met him way back when in RB. Same with Ethan (will she ever tell him who did her tattoo?!). Although that pup got me all worked up with that gäng bs 😤 haven’t you learn anything with Ryder & Dante?!?? Lastly, Sin 👀 YOU’RE CRAZY and very much ours. No giving you back 😏
True to its namesake, this series takes place exclusively inside Darkmore Penitentiary. Now, I know this is not something everybody likes but I have a huge soft spot for all things prison and dungeons. So, no surprise there… I’m like a fish in the water, enjoying every page of this 😎 Adult. 5 stars ⭐️
