So, I’m going to preface my review by saying The Time Shared was a good book. I absolutely loved the storyline and everything about Yulianna and Sayi. These two had more in common than they care to like. Yuli and Sayi were both deserted by their significant others without any real explanation. They end up meeting by happenstance after a mix-up with their condo and, almost immediately, begin a vacation fling. Yuli and Sayi couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They were so giddy and in lust, I could hardly stand it. These two had some serious chemistry. Sayi was only too happy help Yuli with her, ahem (clears throat) problem. Yuli and Sayi initially hook-up just for the sex but, feelings unexpectedly found their way in. Yuli and Sayi decide to turn their vacy fling into real relationship but, not everyone is thrilled. Their age difference being the number one issue. Sayi is 45 and Yuli is 29. I have to say, when I found out there was a 16 year age gap between Yuli and Sayi, I was a little put off. But, the more I got into the book, I fell in love with the characters and the age difference didn’t really matter. The ending was everything. It gave me all the TVOne Saturday night black movie feels. I really enjoyed this couple and I can’t wait to read more about them in the next book. Now, with all of that being said, the writing was atrocious. The entire book was grammatically incorrect. There were certain words and phrases the author used in the incorrect context and some sentences just didn’t make any sense. For example, instead of saying “I didn’t get my period last week” she wrote “Last week, I hadn’t come on my period.” That sentence made my head hurt. This book was riddle with sentences like that and tons of other grammatical errors. The Time Shared was a good book but, it could’ve been a great book had it not been for the writing. Which, is why I gave it 3.75 stars instead of 5-stars. It’s disheartening when bad writing ruins a good book.

The Time Shared was a really good book. It could've been a great book if the writing had been better. The writing was absolutely horrible and the amount of errors were a huge distraction. But, I loved the characters and I loved the storyline. I thought I'd have a problem with the age gap but, Yuli and Sayi were so likable, their ages became a non-factor. I really enjoyed The Time Shared. I could've easily given it 5 stars but, this author needs to work on her writing. It needs some serious fine tuning. If you can get past all of the errors and the bad writing, it's an enjoyable book.

After six years of dating, Yuli is finally ready to say “I do” only to be left at the alter because her fiancé took the cowardly way out saying “I don’t”! And his reason?!?!!?!!! Chyyyyyy you gotta read it to believe it because if you got trash pee, just say that!!! 🙄😒

After twenty years of marriage Sayi came home to packed bags and a wife demanding a divorce with little to no explanation! And if sleeping with the enemy was a person it would definitely be her 🍑!! It’s clear she went to pick up steak for dinner and left with audacity instead because ma’am!!!! The nerve!!! And then to kick up dust towards the end!!! We got a two for one special with this broad!

Needless to say these both Yuli and Sayi were broken hearted and wallowing in depression! Thanks to their friends and siblings, these two cross paths on a trip to Orlando after their condo was double booked!

Coincidentally, they’re all from the same town and know of Sayi and Yuli’s detailed heartbreak! Looking to throw caution to the wind and get over their ex’s these two embark on an experience that they won’t soon forget!

This was an age gap + forced proximity done right and I loved everything about this book!! Sayi and Yuli gave me all the feels and I was especially rooting for Sayi at the end! The vibes were vibing and the seggs was good and freaky like only Endiya can deliver!

Idk what took me so long to scratch this one off my TBR but I’m glad TikTok plus my book besties gave me the push I needed!

The Time Shared (Kennedy Sisters #1) by Endiya Carter is about radio host and Savannah State assistant volleyball coach Yulianna Kennedy and Chief Fireman Sayi Mathis. Yulianna is a jilted bride, E.J is trash for not calling off the wedding! Sayi wife divorces him after 20 years, after the divorce she is moving real shies to! Yuli and Sayi meet while on vacation when there condo is double booked. Boy did they enjoy their vacation together 😏 Sayi and Yuli are hot! They go together, age gap be damned! Skylar, Sayi’s eldest daughter is a great daughter, very mature, honest and always has her dad’s best interest in mind. The Kennedy sisters cray but they ride for each other. I really enjoyed this story! Dr. Jordan Kennedy is next and I can’t wait to see how that story unfolds.

The whole book was funny, a little up and down on the writing at times but I enjoyed how freaky Sayi + Yuli were as well as their instant connection and attraction.

I liked that it was an age gap romance of two lovers trying to find themselves after two relationships gone awry and the supporting family members were a definite highlight.

I absolutely HATED the 85% mark though because the drama was extra as hell for no reason but it did bring up the important conversation about women’s bodies and their choices. I’ll continue with the series just because I liked how grown the romance was and how Black it was but imma need the next book to come correct with the dreaded third act drama cuz it dropped my whole personal rating of this novel down a couple of stars.

Ngl the third act break up in this pissed me the heck off. Not only that but I am not a fan of public declarations of remorse/love/please take me back

It’s so cringe and lazy. Like I want to cover my face and close my ears kind of cringe lol. I don’t find it romantic at all. So, the end of this book kinda didn’t work for me at all.

Technically this is a 2 ⭐️ read for me but, I have a soft spot for Ms Author Ma’am cause she did me good w that book ‘Intrigued by Danger’
It’s currently living rent free in my head 🤤

Cute…

This was a cute romance about finding love after going through betrayal. Yuli was left at the altar and left to figure out the reason publicly and Sayi’s 20-year marriage comes to an end for reasons his wife can’t articulate. The two are forced on group vacations separately by their loved ones when a booking glitch lands both their vacation parties on the same holiday chalet. Sparks fly between Yuli and Sayi despite their age gap but lurking in the wings are their exes complicating things.

This was an enjoyable read. It was emotional and raw and real as you can expect from this author, but it was also a lot of fun and banter and super sexy. I personally was mad at Sayi’s decision-making near the end, but I understood where it came from. Really enjoyed this and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Oowwee Yuli and Sayi were spicy together! I like how real things were between them and not just a easy fairytale. I really enjoyed this story because it jumps right into pulling you in and ends with you wanting more. Good read!

Very cute!

Loved Sayi & Yuliana’s story and their courtship. I thought the supporting characters were also a great part of the story without taking it over.

Yuliana Kennedy and Sayi Mathis have one thing in common. They were both deserted by their significant others without an explanation. A room mixup on a trip to Orlando leads to them meeting, occupying the same condo and engaging in a heated love affair.

Sayi Mathis bulldozed his way into my number one book bae spot. Whew! I need him in real life. His intensity, dominance and protective nature had me excited. Add in his sensuality and sensitivity and chills were running down my spine. I liked Yuri as well. Even After enduring setbacks and heartache, she still remained true to herself and persevered. What impressed me the most was her independence and ability to pave her own path. With a family full of doctors, she became a radio personality and a volleyball coach; that took guts in my opinion.

Yuri and Sayi together are relationship goals. The moment they laid eyes on each other, you just know they belonged together. They had fun, communicated well, and brought out the best in one another. Plus, the clutching my pearls sex had me taking some serious notes. Their ability to be open to new love while working through their pain was refreshing.

The Kennedy sisters, along with their aunt were freaking hilarious and devilishly scandalous. I loved their strong friendship and the way they go hard for each other. Their antics had me cackling throughout the book. Also, an unexpected treat in this story was Sayi’s daughter Skylar. She was very mature and seemed genuinely invested in her fathers happiness. I loved their relationship.

Endiya Carter is quickly becoming one of my go to authors for a quick bomb ass story. She draws me in with her hilarious characters and exciting storylines. I am engaged from beginning to end. She knows exactly what I need and never fails to deliver. This story DID NO WRONG in my eyes. I cannot wait to meet up with the other Kennedy sisters in the rest of the series.

I’m going to read book 2 because I love this author. HOWEVER, the ending of this book ruined my opinion of it.
Everything was going great between them and then 💥 the moment he wants to profess his love for her, his ex wife shows up and proposes to him and he accepts!!! His excuse is having been raised in a 2 parent household but sir, your daughters are practically grown and have been raised. I am all for including the children but they should not be the deciding factor in who you’re going to spend your life with whether they support the relationship or not.
20 years or not, this woman left you and got with a guy she knew you had beef with and then wanted you back after realizing she made a mistake.
What really made this entire thing worse is the conversation he had with her father, adamant about him being a man and Yuli being his and him not going back to his ex. I already felt like that conversation was so rude and disrespectful towards her father, even if I did support their relationship. I felt his language towards her father was ugly and he did not have to let her dad hear her say what she said on the phone. Then, all of that just to take his ex wife back. Even Ashley tried to tell him the same thing and he straight blessed her soul for overstepping.
In the end he was just as embarrassing as Eli. Yuli was right! You give a second chance and you gon eventually have to give a third. I woulda took them pills, let him watch me, blessed his indecisive soul and told him to go back to where he came from.
Then you have to laugh because he didn’t even make the decision to go back to Yuli, his ex wife packed her bags AGAIN and left him 😂😂😂😂

What an amazing story that was! For Yuli and Sayi to go through traumatic breakups as they did, and still were able to find love in their hearts was so beautiful! Upon first meeting, you saw how Sayi could command his audience and is used to taking and being in control. Yuli, still shaken from her embarrasment, followed his lead as he drew her to him. Although they hooked up pretty quickly, you could feel that they had genuine feelings for each other. I love Skylar, and how hard she rode for her dad, and his happiness. I was so angry at Sayi, for falling for that nonsense from Tessa. He should have known better! But, he came back and got his girl like a "G"! Confessing his raw feelings and emotions on the radio, for all to hear was just everything! Can't wait to hear more from this couple, and Jordan in the next book. Great job!!

Yuli & Sayi relationship just seemed to blossom when the two weren’t looking for it. After both going through a heart break it was clear that both of them needed some time to them self but that wasn’t the case to their family and friends which by the way were hilarious! They ride hard for they family no doubt lol. But Sayi & Yuli were instantly drawn to each other and he wasted no time turning my girl Yuli! Saying she never had a orgasm. Babyygirrlll! Sayi said sit down and spread them legs! WHAT!😂. He was so dominate and I was 1,000% here for it. I was happy that Yuli didn’t let their age gap get in the way of her finding love or if not then having a good time. Sayi did disappoint me towards then end, but he made up for it. I enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read about the other sisters

Y’all, this book was so good!!!! I had all the feels, like I was squealing! I absolutely loved this story and everything about Yulianna and Sayi!! 🥰🙌🏾My heart broke for both characters; both were in long term relationships that just ended abruptly with no explanation. What was supposed to be a getaway with their respective families ended up with these two love birds connecting with each other. Yuli and Sayi could not keep their hands off each other. They were so giddy and excited, I couldn’t stand it lol. No seriously, this was a really good book.. there wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. Well maybe, Tessa, because home girl had lost her last mind trying to mess up the love between these two. 🤣The ending was everything, the author did a great job showing Sayi’s vulnerability—he was pouring his heart out to Yuli. Definitely the feel good story that I didn’t know I needed. Great job!

What was the reason!

This was going to be a 4 star read but then at 80% characters started doing things for the plot and manufactured tension and I lost my mind trying to figure out why would someone that moved/talked like them would do such a thing... and truly there is no other reason than "the story needs some tension before the end so let's make this happen"

There were no crumbs through out the book to lead us to whatever happened at 80% like the person before 80% was not the same as the person on page 169... and the reason they gave was never implied or hinted at before... all their character traits went out the window for a couple of pages of "conflict" 😩

Omg what a great book. I shouldn’t be surprised, Endiya is new on the scene but her books are fire!!! She hasn’t let me down yet. This book could have been a movie. The storyline had everything!!! Yuli and Sayi both were on the rebound from long term relationships. It feels like it was lust at first sight. I love that they both upgraded and got the HEA we all dream of. I loved the Kennedy women, the sisters and Auntie were hilarious!!! We all need family that goes that hard for us. I can’t wait to read more about this family and catch up with Yuli & Sayi! Another five star read!!!

Awesome
Second chance at happiness

Sayi wife left him after 20 years because he worked so much Instead of telling the truth you want some one else just happened to be an enemy.
I'm tell you what happened Old boy from his past wasn't what his ex wife realized a little bit to late to apologize now you let him go so he could find what actually needed ...

Yuli got left at the altar because her ex was because Egale like she said we could have talked about it But he should have been snooping ok But good he messed up because she found what she needed

All because of a mixed up Condo change both there lives..
When your not looking for love is when you find you Both found love unconditionally

My favorite was his daughter Skylar she was had her dad back ok She knew what her mom was doing and didn't feel it at all she was happy as soon as she found out that he was dating Yuli

She right though now my mom not happy with her choice but you needs to be happy 😊🤗

I recommend this Author and book

📖 Summary:
YuliKen gets left at the altar so she is embarrassed because almost the whole city knows she takes a vacation with her sisters and Aunt to Orland, Fl where a hotel mix up introduces her to an older Gentleman Sayi Mathis who has been recently divorced from a 20 year marriage. When he meets Yurli he doesn’t think this young girl will change him…

💖Characters:
He was tucking me in. He tucked me in. Oh my God. Oh my God.

Yuliana was my girl she didn’t take any shit but still was shy and understood her emotions.

“Ah, look. It’s our baby girl now.”

Sayi was everything and more okay! He kept his cool unless he needed you to know he wasn’t with the shits. Daddy in every sense of the word LOL.

💭My thoughts:
The age gap love story hit and did not disappoint. The writing errors throughout the book did annoy me and had me feeling like I was tripping. The communication between everyone in the story was entertaining not too much filler words and just enough description to get the point across.

❤️Crush❤️

I’m not gonna lie I was so mad at Sayi at first when he went back to that familiar situation but chile I tell you when he saw he couldn’t do it and went for what he knew!! On that talk show dedicating those songs!! When he texted her and said “I’m just throwing caution to the mf’n wind. I hope you catch this shit”!! Let’s just say I was right back team Sayi!! First read by this author and definitely won’t be the last. Remind me of the the song by Yuna ft. Usher...Crush. I feel a little rush. I think I've got a little crush on you. I hope it's not too much. But babe when I'm with you, I hear it...My heart singing. La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la-la. La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la-la!!

Love is in the air!

I enjoyed Yuli and Sayi's story. It started as a mishap that bloomed into a happily ever after. Both of them deserve an everlasting love after their exes left in such dramatic ways. Sayi ex left and started a romance with his enemy. Yuli ex left on their wedding day without any explanation. Both exes needed to learn how to communicate their issues effectively. Yuli and Sayi heartbreaks turned into everlasting love. The age difference was not an issue with Yuli and she fell in love with Sayi regardless of it.

This is another great by Ms. Carter, I have enjoyed every book I have read by her so far. I am glad that this is just the first novel in this series. I am looking forward to the other sisters' story and an update on Yuli and Sayi's growing family.

Sayi said “oh lemme prove that YOU weren’t the problem!” Turned her lil ass OWT and they was nastyyyy!! The way Skylar was a rider for her daddy, whew! I loved her! Serenity needs to grow up, she only 16 so she might need some time. Them ex’s…🙄🙄 Tessa was wrong as hell but glad she came to her senses and Elijah…oh i was ready for him to get beat ass and them sisters/auntie delivered! 🤣🤣🤣 The spice was spicin! And the way Sayi groveled for that second chance and EVERYBODY stood beside him!?!! That ending….Chefs kiss!😙🤌🏾💋

An age gap romance with the FMC being younger. Sayi and Yuli meet when they are assigned to the same cabin for a weekend in florida. Both are coming off of tragic break ups. Yuli left at the alter and Sayi divorced after a 20 year marriage. They was fucking fucking and I liked that, what I did not like is Yuli’s lack of experience- it was cringy at times. Not surprised that she got pregnant, she removed the condom at one point… why include it if it’s not gonna help. Sayi almost went back to his ex wife and that pissed me off. I loved how the whole family did not play about Yuli. They stood on big bidness.

Yuli and Sayi

Man this story definitely had me crossing my legs baby because those sex scenes was crazy. I loved the passion plus the connection between Yuli and Sayi. Even though their sex scenes was hot but they way they connected on another was crazy as well. This is definitely age ain't nothing but a number because these two are definitely couple goals. I also liked that Skylar already loved Yuli and stood up for their relationship. Sometimes we miss what is right in front of us because we are too focused on the past. I really loved this!!!

AGE AIN'T NOTHING BUT A NUMBER

I loved Yuli and Sayi's story. They were both trying to get over heartbreak after so many years of marriage and a relationship. A family getaway turns into a chance encounter that sets the tone for whirlwind sexcapades and budding feelings. Their family and friends were comical in this book but it showed just how much they cared for Yuli and Sayi's feelings being hurt again. They were truly meant to be and it didn't matter who approved or not. The heart wants what the heart wants.
