Blake Karrington

Blake Karrington is more than an author. He’s a storyteller who places his readers in action-filled moments. It’s in these creative spaces that readers are allowed to get to know his complex characters as if they’re really alive.

Most of Blake’s titles are in the South in urban settings that are often overlooked by the mainstream. But through Blake’s eyes, readers quickly learn that places like Charlotte, NC can be as gritty as they come. It’s in these streets of this oft overlooked world where Blake portrays murderers and thieves alike as believable characters. Without judgement, he weaves humanizing backstories that serve up compelling reasons for why a drug dealer might choose a life of crime.

Readers of speak of the roller coaster ride of emotions that ensues from feeling anger at empathetic characters who always seem to do the wrong thing at the right to keep the story moving forward.

In terms of setting,Blake’s stories introduce his readers to spaces they may or may not be used to - streetscapes with unkept, cracked sidewalks where poverty prevails, times are depressed and people are broke and desperate. In Blake storytelling space, morality is so curved that rooting for bad guys to get away with murder can sometimes seem like the right thing for the reader to do - even when it’s not.

Readers who connect with Blake find him to be relatable. Likening him to a bad-boy gone good, they see a storyteller who writes as if he’s lived in world’s he generously shares, readily conveying his message that humanity is everywhere, especially in the unlikely, mean streets of cities like Charlotte.

There's definitely action...although... once again I had to give a few side eyes 👀. C'mon now, the Russian gangsta that had 20M in diamonds stolen from him & was always a step ahead of everyone trying to retrieve them got "paranoid"... But the biggest 👀 on that, he didn't come loaded with backup to get them back 🤔if you got it like that you coming with straight heat for 20M, jus saying. Overall a cool read, first book was a lot better.

The Hell You Go Thru!

Trust and Gutter are back trying to get their women and get Fashkon those damn diamonds! Angela slides back on the screen to prove her love but Gutta is questioning that love, meanwhile Wanda also proving her love to Hutta. When lefty try’s to get to Trust by asking Boomer questions he went to the wrong person and his card is up. Life is crazy as Trust rushes to get Faith and Erica away from the psycho but when Trust is caught up in the bars he still will not give up! Zoe is down and out when he is caught up! Erica is soo broken! Trust and Gutta loved Zoe!
The diamonds are being passed around and through it all Trust will make a final attempt to get his woman, face Fashkon and there goes Gutta messing up and being greedy!
Fashkon in the end just wants blood, just when who will he gets? Faith and Erica pray for a rescue but the consequences of a happiness forever will be big!

The Finale

This was definitely just as fast paced as part 1 if not more. In this part you definitely needed Faith and Trust to get thru what the crew went thru. Everyone needed to play a part and honestly they were all played to a tee. I love the bond the girls built because if either were going thru it alone it would have been ten times harder to survive. This is the true definition of riding for your man because Erica, Faith and even Angie really rode out. I was wondering what part Angie played in this cause baby I had my doubts about her. I also loved Boom because he was always there in the clutch with his lady as well. Gutta always got something going so I guess him and Angela are alike that is why they work so well. I would have liked for Wanda to get what was coming to her for what she did but hey I guess they had more pressing matters. Always lived this author so I will be reading more from his catalog!!!

The Diamond Rush ends...

Wow! This series was very entertaining. It kept me glued to the pages wondering what was going to happen next. The twists, turns & surprises made me want to keep reading until the very end. Those Diamonds we're much more deadly than they were worth, literally! Thank God the Diamond Rush ended. I felt like I was living in Philly!

I hated Angela the most, at first, but she turned out to be ride or die after all. Trust & Faith’s love was so rare. I loved them. Trust is definitely bae 😍. Gutta hot-headed ass got on my nerves A LOT but he proved himself in the end. Now that damn Fashkon was more powerful than them all, however, he didn't stand much of a chance against Trust & the crew. He thought he was so much smarter, Lol. I felt so bad for Erica. My heart hurted for her.

Whew, what a ride! So much gunplay, violence + love & hatred. I really enjoyed this series. Make sure to check it out!

Great read

This was a great story, but it had nothing to do with Trust and Faith. The title should have been the diamond rush. I struggled with wanting to give 1 star and 5 stars. One only because how pissed I was with the Characters sometimes. But ik that wouldn't have been fair to the author. The only few things i didn't like is that the whole book the team took loses until the very end, and in a way they still took loses. Also i don't understand how Angela and Gutta got a happy ending but Erica and Zoe suffered. Shoot even Amy. Faith wasn't even really apart of the story but she was naive as hell. Smh overall this was very different and full of action, which it took me a minute to finish the story, because I had to take breathers before moving to the next parts.

Page Turner

I've never read a book by this author that I didn't like and he didn't disappoint me with this one either. This story was exciting from beginning to end. We had bankrobbers, drug dealers, russians, stolen diamonds, Feds, etc. This is not your typical Kingpin/thug love story. It's unpredictable and will have you sucked in and unable to put it down til it's finished. The characters are so likeable, you'll be rooting for them. My favorites were Trust, Amy, Zoe and Erica. Gutta and Angela were kind of grimy in the beginning and I really didn't think too much about Faith. I enjoyed this read. It's a page turner.

Very good.

This two book saga was good and action packed. Faith and Trust loved each other. Faith was a die hard and came through for everyone in the end. She saved the day. When Trust returned, it was all over. Anaheim was the evil Russian who just wanted his diamonds. Angela, the FBI agent fell for Bitter
and they appear to be working out. I wish the Russian lady hadn't killed Erica's love. Wanda was definitely a woman scorned. I wish Trust entire crew could have been exonerated and everything out on the Russian. The author did a good job.

Action

This second installment was none stop action. When I say them Russians wasn't playing. No baby Fashion wanted his Diamonds. Trust and Gutta caught a break or so they thought. Angela and Wanda both tried to prove their love to Gutta. Trust tried his hardest to get back to Faith and make sure Erica was straight. Though everyone else was good I felt Erica got the short end of the stick because her and her man was loyal riders.

A Good Time Was Had !!

Once again we are in the thick of things, and boy is this a ride! The action picks up right where it leaves off. The writer is bringing so much fire, you can actually feel the heat. This is such a classic heist, car chases, shootouts and murder story you are going to enjoy it till the last word is read!

Gutta and Angela

This book should be renamed Gutta and Angela. This book was so good I couldn’t put it down. I hate that Amy and Zoe died, and Gutta I didn’t like him at first but then he became my favorite. I didn’t get to much into Faith, we got nothing from her. Angela I really liked her even though she started off grimy. Those Russian were like roaches. Good book

Stellar Author

I don't leave a lot of reviews because I don't have a computer and it's difficult to type on this tablet, but I had to leave one on this series. I am speechless how good this series is and how good an author Blake Karrington is.

Along with this series give some his other books a try, and you won't be disappointed.

Sincerely,

Sandra

This one got too crazy!

This book got to be too much! I was so tired of Trust and Gutta having to deal with that crazy Fashkon! He was so crazy and kept coming! The last part about them being on the run was crazy. I was just ready for the madness to end! Glad it didn't continue into book #3!

Diamonds

This was a good one, turned out to be a real thriller. All that chaos over diamonds. It was interesting how the Russians were able to locate everyone when the FBI couldn't.

A waste of time

The book was long and redundant. It was entirely too much fluff. The author was all
over the place with the book. The title doesn't fit the book at all. Faith had a minimal role and not sure why the book was named after her at all.

definitely worth the purchase

This book kept me on edge and makes me wish there was a part 3 because I’m still wanting to know if faith and Erica both had a healthy baby and if faith ever rekindled her relationship with her family

Part 2 of this story started to get unrealistic. This is my first time reading any of this author’s books. Will definitely check out his other novels.
