Felicity is perfect for me in every way except for one: She’s my best friend’s little sister. As in forbidden. As in off-limits. As in not a damn option. Problem is, the more we try to stay away from each other... ...the more fate pushes us back together. There’s only so many times we can resist. And as soon as her sweet lips touch mine, I know nothing’s ever going to be the same again.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Felicity wants to organise a birthday party for her brother Cash but that means inviting his best friend and her lifelong crush Holt. She thought she was over him but one look and she’s that schoolgirl again and she pines while he ignores her. But fate seems to be stepping in when she’s bumping into him all over the place. Could he ever see her as more than his friends sister?
Holt hasn’t seen Felicity for sixteen years and even then she was beautiful but she’s his best friends little sister he knows she is off limits. But when they keep crossing paths he can’t hide how he feels for her any longer. Will Felicity give him the chance to make up for those years he ignored her or did he miss his chance?
Always a joy to read, cute happy ever after feel good book. Totally safe. 3.7*
What do you do when the crush you had as a teen is still there more than 15 years later? That's what Felicity and Holt have to sort out. I like this quick, easy read that has a very happy ending.
HOLT is the fifth book in the Big Hot Alphas series and boy is he a big, hot and very sexy alpha. Holt is thirty-three years old and lives in the same town he grew up in. He flips houses for a living doing all the work himself. He likes what he does as it gives him satisfaction in seeing his work transform a house. The only thing that he does not have is a wife and family. One day he receives a text from a number he does not recognize and when he reads it he is surprised but very pleasantly. Felicity is thirty years old lives in the same town she grew up in. She is Cash's younger sister, his story is in a previous book in the series. Cash is coming home for a visit with his wife Dani and their five year old son Jasper. As it is Cash's birthday Felicity decides to throw him a party and gets in touch with all of his old friends. One of those old friends is Holt. Holt has had a crush on Felicity since her first laid eyes on her when she and Cash moved to town. But when he and Cash became friends the "bro-code" could not be broken and she was off limits in all ways. What he did not realize was that Felicity had a major crush on him also. But as he never paid her any attention, basically ignoring her completely, Felicity always thought that he did not like her. When Cash shows up to the party he is early as Felicity had texted the wrong time. But he quickly pitches in helping set things up at her parents house while she gets to admire him. The party is a success and Cash gets a really big present from Dani, something that will be with them for the rest of their lives. Holt leaves without saying goodbye to Felicity so she is left with the same impression, that he does not like her. A few days later when Cash, Dani and Jasper have left Felicity is grocery shopping when she turns the corner on an aisle and there stands Holt. Their eyes meet and the exchange a few words and a laugh but he quickly leaves her standing there. For him the bro-code is still in effect not matter how much he wants her. But a couple of day later an another encounter in the grocery store has a few truths coming out. Felicity proposes they be friends which Holt agrees to and they set-up a dinner for the next night, as friends of course. A couple of nights after their "friends" dinner Felicity is awoken in the middle of the night by a sound. It turns out her bathroom is flooding by a broken pipe to the toilet and the water valve will not move to shut off. Who does she phone but of course Holt. He comes to her rescue and once they have things cleaned up the bro-code is about to be as demolished as some walls with a sledgehammer.
This is a sweet, fun and dirty sexy story in all the best ways. Holt and Felicity are perfect together and even though sixteen years has passed since they saw each other their love for each other instantly ignites again. Holt realizes that the "bro-code" that has kept him away from Felicity has really kept him away from the woman that he loves and Colt will have to deal with it, as he is getting Felicity and keeping her. Felicity ends up getting what she always wanted for so long - Holt, a beautiful house and a family on the way.

HOLT is the fifth installment in Kate Hunt’s Big Hot Alphas series chronicling the romantic journey of Felicity and Holt. Readers met them in the previous installment, CASH as secondary characters. Felicity is Cash’s younger sister and Holt is his best friend in San Diego. Holt was smitten with her for years but did not act on it as he thought it was forbidden since she was his best friend’s sister. Felicity has been attracted to Holt for some time and finally manipulates it so they ore in each other’s orbit more frequently. Not wanting to spoil it for you, I won’t elaborate more on their journey but encourage you to read this book.
Once again, Ms. Hunt does a swell job with her BBW and hot alpha male romance. The lead characters are multi-dimensional. The dialog, both conversational and internal monologues, is entertaining and allows readers to understand their emotions. Ms. Hunt’s skill with painting vivid scenes rounds out her skill with literary devices as she pulls the reader into this romantic tale. Way to go, Ms. Hunt.
First things first; I really like the cover of this book! Holt is book five in the ‘‘big hot alphas’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Holt gets invited to a party for his best friend, he never expects to fall for Felicity. Felicity has had a crush on her older brothers best friend for years. Now reunited, will they take the leap? The chemistry between Holt and Felicity is clear to see and I liked them together. I thought that they made a cute couple. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
I absolutely loved Holt, book 5 in the Big Hot Alphas series by Kate Hunt. Holt is happy flipping houses but he knows something is missing. He wants a family of his own. He is surprised when he gets a message from Felicity, his best friend's younger sister. He has crushed on her since they were kids but he knew he needed to abide by the bro code rule. Felicity always assumed Holt didn't like her and she has no idea of his feelings until keep running into each other. Maybe fate is trying to tell the something! Great story.
I think I'm in love with Holt! Lol The description of Holt made me want a man, like RIGHT NOW!!! I am really enjoying this series! I just hate that each book is really short! I loved the chemistry between Holt and Felicity and I was glad that Felicity's toilet pipe burst!!! I hate to say that, but sometimes we block our own blessings. I do believe that everyone who reads this book will enjoy it! I definitely recommend it to everyone!
Brothers best friend romance. Quick Read. Short, sweet with some sexy. It has a HEA. The read itself was a slow burn because nothing really happened until the end, but it was something that was a long time coming. It was a chemistry that once ignited it burnt hot. I received a free copy via booksprout and am leaving an honest review.
Felicity has no idea what she did to Holt. He avoids her and tries to keep his distance. When she confronts him she doesn't expect his response. Can she have what she's always wanted with the man she's always wanted? She just has to get Holt to get over his aversion to ber.
This one is about Holt and Felicity. She is the best friend of his younger sister and Cash's sister. Dual point of view in the first person. Short and sweet and sexy read. Author delivers once again. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love best friend's little sister stories. But I really hate when they deprive each other rather than just talk to the big brother! Other than that personal irritation, this was a fun lunch time read.
Love these short stories. It was nice reading about how Holt and Flea liked each other in high school but for the bro code, Holt didn't act. As adults, the meshed well together. Another good story :)
I wondered how long Bolt thought he could stay away from Felicity. He has loved her for so long but stayed away because she is his best friend's little sister. When her bathroom sprung a leak and Felicity had to call Holt over I knew it was a rap.
The 5th book is Holt and Felicity story. It was so good. Loved the back and forth. Its super sweet they've longed for each other since high school. Holt always wanted to honor the bro code with Cash. Felicity wants more. Will it finally happen after hanging out?
Holt & felicity story was short and sweet and to the point in the best way. I am so glad that they finally admitted that they both had feelings for each other.
I liked this short story. It was entertaining and I enjoyed it. I do wish they had figured out that the bro-code wasn't important a lot sooner, but oh well! The characters were likable.

And as soon as her sweet lips touch mine, I know nothing’s ever going to be the same again. **** Holt annoyed me with how he treated Felicity so hot and then cold. I was way happier when he finally explained why he acted that way to Felicity. I liked Felicity knowing what she wanted and being brave enough to confront Holt. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

Holt was Felicity's brother's best friend. They had feelings for each other since they met when he was a senior in high school. Years had passed before they were in the presence of one another. Their feelings remained the same, but Holt couldn't help thinking she was off-limits. Felicity felt as though she was in a tug of war when it came to Holt, displaying his feelings for her. What happens when Cash finds out his sister and best friend have feelings for each other? Will Holt dismiss the bro-code and give in to his desires? I enjoyed reading about Holt, who was a thoughtful and gorgeous man that just so happen to be good with his hands. This story's flow was nice and calm. I recommend this book for some light reading.

Remodeled Home for Life! This was a sweet short story about Holt and his best friends little sister, Felicity. He has always had a crush on her but there is a bro code that he must adhere to and that is to not mess with a BFF’s sister. Well Felicity is all grown up now and she invites Holt to a birthday bash for her brother Cash who is coming back home to visit with his wife, Dani and son, Jasper. Holt agrees to go and arrives early and loves what he sees now. They decide to be friends because of the bro code, but can they last as friends and what surprises are in there for Cash? This was a cute story and now I’m waiting to see who else is on the list to have their happy ending. Will Leah, Felicity’s friend have a happy ending?

Holt has had feelings for Felicity, his best friend’s sister, since high school. But that unwritten “bro code” dictates that one doesn’t mess with a friend’s sibling no matter what! Years later, reconnecting again, Holt is still trying to follow that unwritten off-limits rule, even though Felicity is ignoring her attraction to him as well! Will anything push those two to talk to each other? Will anyone make the first move? Or will they walk away in complete frustration and never give their love a chance?
Holt is a great guy, and Felicity is just what he has always wanted. Would Cash really be angry if they finally decide to start something special between them? Good story line and good characters make this a fun, quick read. (It took the reader less time to read their story than it took them to say hello again! Communication is definitely the answer!)
4/5 stars Felicity is throwing her brother a birthday party she decides to invite all of his friends and Holt is one of them. They both have secretly crashed on each other for years but because of the bro code Holt never acted on it. He sort of runs hot and cold with Felicity until she finally confronts him and asks him what his problem is with her, he tells her he doesn’t have one, he actually likes her. They decide they’re going to be friends and then their relationship progresses from there. I like that Felicity was brave and confronted Holt I kind a wish he had not worried so much about the bro code and he was a little more committed to Felicity, they tell her brother he’s OK with it and everybody is happy and they have a cute happy ending with an epilogue.
You know, I just don’t understand some guys. If you’re interested in a girl, why don’t you just try. Well Holt here waits over a decade but still not pursuing Felicity because he’s friends with her brother. Crazy. With equal frustration, Felicity shares some of the blame for not speaking up. If you want to know how and if these two ever connect, then you’re just going to have to read this book. Short and sweet read.

This book follows on from the last with cash's sister felicity. A school crush on her brother's best friend Holt gets reignited when she throws a birthday bash for her brother. A few chance meetings and the pair decided to throw caution to the wind and finally give into their feelings, no matter the cost. Very quick read.

The "Bro Code"....how many relationships have been passed over because of it? Add Holt and Felicity to that list. Holt knew the first time he met Felicity that she was the one he wanted. Because of the code he ignored her instead. When they reunite years later, he still wants her but will not break the code. The only thing about denying one's feelings is that they will build up until they burst like a pipe in the bathroom.....
