Even better the second time around!!!

I haven’t Re-read these books since the first time I made my way through the KGU in timeline order (rather than order of publication). I was fortunate that Michael already had the first three books of Endgame written, so I was able to read almost all of it in order of occurrence within the universe, and that was exceptionally cool.

HOWEVER, as I now go back and re-read each individual series, I am stunned by the overwhelming amount of talent entailed within each of these individual authors.

When I read these for the first time, I was mainly interested in the overall development of the KGU universe, and, if I’m honest, I was a bit disappointed by both of these series when I first read them, because they didn’t do much to “advance” the overall storyline. What I missed at that time when I was OBSESSED with all things Bethany Ann and Hannah (and now can see quite clearly) was that these are impressive and well written works which stand on their own, in their own right, and are an incredible testament to some incredible writing talents.

If you are like I was and are making your way for the first time through this universe, don’t let the absence of either of the two preeminent heroines make you morose. Hylton and Sloan are adding a fabulous depth and complexity to the Age of Magic that cannot be overstated. In retrospect, in fact, I would go so far as to say that they outshine the mainline stories in this respect by far, since they AREN’T burdened with either Hannah or Ezekiel’s storylines.

If you are new to the KGU, or simply found this book by accident, take a chance and give it a whirl. I promise you, you’ll love it.

For MY part, I’m off to find more stuff from either Hylton, Sloan or both to read, because they are simply that good.

Take care, and may you daily find Joy in every moment.

Storm and Shades-Two Complete Series...

I chose this rating because it fits. I found that each if these series was absolutely astounding. The characters were totally believable, heroic, adventurous, strong- willed. They faced numerous obstacles, separately, as well as together at times. The series also, at various times had nearly everyone as a leader or tactician during engagement with the enemy. I also loved that the books complimented each other in regards to the plots and meshing of the characters. Thank you for a simply fascinating read. Hoping for more soon.

Two Series

I stated this thinking it was two books instead it was six. The stories intertwined and kept you reading.. The adventures and characters are spell binding. Are new adventures ahead?

Strong heroes and heroines for the win.

What a great read. Loved the strong characters, especially the female leads in their quest for justice. I would love to see where Abbey ends up next.

Two fantastic series

I have no favorites here, unlike other KEY books. However, I am still blown away by the talent MA brings together, by the fabulous ideas within.

May all their dreams come true....

New author for me

It was over way too soon . I got so involved with the characters that I was sad when it ended. Hoping they expand on this series.
