Much, much shorter than the first book... matter of fact this book and the next book should have been one book. It's still the telling of his rise to power and his little Red Romina is playing him.
The question still is the same.... will they kill each other or will they rule together?? Can't wait to find out.

Holy Cliffhanger

Roque is hot on the trail of his Romina.
She's still angry with him, although her heart still craves him.
Things are very explosive in this second book of the series.
There's a huge surprise ending.
Looking forward to the conclusion in "Redemption."

After losing Romina, Roque decides to do right by the only girl who has stood by his side, Chloe. The one he rescued from an horrific future is all he needs. He decides that if happiness isn't in his future, it damn well will be in hers. In such a short time he has become quite protective of Chloe, but now that she's going away for school, Roque is out of control with worry. Chloe is leaving, but his heart was gone long before her. Romina left with that. Unbeknownst to Roque, Romina is out for revenge. She may still love him but she doesn't like him very much. (understatement of the year) Roque finds himself racing the clock to find Romina and salvage what is left of his heart.
They are playing dangerous games, cat & mouse as well as hide & seek. As long as Chloe is safe from the danger they're caught up in, Roque sleeps well. Chloe being close to Roque is danger enough without the added worry of college life, boys and rival mobsters.
Between worrying about Chloe and finding Romina, Roque is at his wits' end. Roque is powerful, untouchable, but trying to keep them safe is something he never anticipated and if he fails, his thirst for revenge would rain down across oceans.
ROQUE'S STORY IS COMPLETELY ADDICTIVE ! HEART, HUMOR AND REVENGE !
The love/hate thing they have going on is intense but also sad. And past mistakes dragged into an already uncertain future are not helping. I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK THREE ! ! !

This is such an exhilarating series! What a love/hate relationship these two have going. Roque is wanting his "Blue/Little Red" back. It's become an obsession. Romina feels like everything they had started to build was a trick and lie. He betrayed her and she feels like a fool. The back and forth, the other families having a price on Romina's head, and Chloe. I feel like Chloe is the cheerleader rooting for both sides and somewhere on the way, she's going to come into her own, and those that think they have her cornered are going to wind up in trouble. I can't rave about this book enough.

The chase is on!

Roque and Romina have a love/hate relationship. There is this gravitational pull that neither of them can deny or ignore. They each have had the ability to kill each other as rival Mafia families, but neither can do it. They fight their connection individuality and when they get together, it's explosive! Chloe is becoming her own woman throughout the battle of Roque and Romina and I think she's going to be a force to be reckoned with! I highly recommend!

Roque and Romina's story continues and i can not put this book down as it is a real page turner and so addictive. Roque and Romina's chemistry and connection is still as hot as ever but will they ever get there happy ending. There are twists and turns in this book that have you turning the pages to see what will happen next. OMG i need the next book NOW to find out what happens to them. Jax Hart is an amazing author and writer and i definitely recommend that you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.

Jax Hart is back with Roque and Romina in part 2 of this romeo and juliet-esq trilogy. Although a much shorter read than part 1 it still packs a punch to the emotional feels. The feisty Romina is still out for revenge though at the same time getting a glimpse of normality, but with Roque always on the hunt for her it never lasts long. Roque always is a step behind when it comes to finding Romina even when he finally has her in his sights she slips away back into the night. I love the way this story is portrayed through journals and glimpses of the past whilst colliding into the present with Chloe joining Romina and Roque's story. cant wait for part 3!

I love Jax's work but this one fell short for me. It's the second book in this series and as good as it was, I felt it was rushed and way too short of a book. I felt it was missing something and left me wanting more, literally. It ends on a cliffhanger so beware before you read it.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Thin line between predator/prey... The chase continues - although who is the predator and who is the prey is unclear which makes Roque and Romina so perfect for each other. As always, this author makes the reader feel the emotions: the anger, the frustration, the elemental need for one another. This book provided the perfect segue to what promises to be an exciting conclusion, and one I am anxiously awaiting!

Wow! This series is outstanding and addicting!! Jax has a brilliant way of writing and shaping each character in all his stories and you can’t help getting caught up and falling in love with each. Their imperfections are what make them so perfect. The plot is captivating filled with so many emotions, that makes it hard to put down. It’s a definite must read and I highly recommend it.

Roque and Romina story continues in Requiem. Their journey is volatile, hostile, heated, tempting, difficult and in it's own way very sexy. They haunt each other in the most excitingly dangerous ways and can't seem to get their fill when they're together. I can't wait to see what's in store for them next.

Second book of The Salvatore Syndicate

Wow! Romina isn’t messing around. This girl is my superhero. Falling in love with Roque I can understand, however her and Roque have this love-hate relationship that is enthralling and toxic. Very sensual. This book flew by too fast and I cannot wait for book 3. Attention-getter. I love the line, the hunted became the huntress. Boom! Drop the mic the show is over because seeing Romina and her struggles make her realistic.

In this second book the hunt continues.
Romina is still one step ahead of Roque, who seems to always stays one step away from reaching her.
Roque turns to his adoptive daughter Chloe, who is the one who encourages him the most to try to win back Romina. And in the end Chloe meets Romina briefly.
Romina and Roque have a 🔥🔥🔥moment in Spain, but their paths separate again until Romina almost blows him off with a bomb after seeing Roque with another woman.
I can’t wait to read the end of this twisted but very passionate story.

“Her lips might be pressed to yours but it’s mine you crave,” she taunts. Damn her. She’s right. I might have had my wife’s lips pressed to mine, but it was hers I’d kill for. That’s us. Her and I. One big ball of fire. How can we love one another without third degree burns?

“I’m going to destroy you like I always said I would. Right after I make that black heart of yours beat only for me. You’ll only look at me like that. Want. Breathe. Live. All for me. Then I’m going to burn your empire to the ground and end your reign.”

“Do you remember… how I moaned it in your ear when you were inside me. Can you still feel the tip of my tongue against your skin, feel my breaths against you neck as you drove into me?” “Romina.” His voice is strained. “Pretty soon, it’ll be another man feeling and hearing all those things. I’m not going to let the ghost of who I thought you were dominate me anymore.” “ROMINA!” This time my name is a roar. “If you let anyone else touch you… I’ll kill you both.” My lips turn into a wry smile. “Ah, but you’ve already killed me before.”“And in the end, I couldn’t, and you now know why. There was a thread sewing our souls together, even back then. I felt it. You felt it.” “The only thing I felt was the burn in my throat and the panic when I couldn’t breathe.”“Liar. You felt me stealing your soul and getting mine in return.”

“You better get her under control, or I will. What did you do to piss her off this time?” “I almost fell for someone else.” “Luce?” Yep. I need to get to Romina before Chloe gets caught in this stupid love war we have going on. If Chloe gets hurt, I’ll never forgive Romina no matter how much I loved her once and probably still do.

Requiem..... but not of a dream

REQUIEM is the second book in The Salvatore Syndicate series and continues the story of Roque. Only this time it is with Chloe but not to be left out Romina comes back around and is out for blood.
This second book is a novella that also ends in a cliffhanger. This book almost felt like a bridge to the next book as it was somewhat rushed and also disjointed. The book continues the dark, suspense, action and drama filled story-line. After I liked the first book, Roque, I am not as enamored with Requiem. But I will be reading the next book in this series to see what happens next to Roque and Romina.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Requiem is the second book in The Salvatore Syndicate Series by Jax Hart. This book is an interesting take on love. It is not your typical HEA romance. Requiem is an intriguing Cat-and Mouse game, where the roles switch from time to time. Roque and Romina have a very unorthodox relationship that kept me riveted in the story. Chloe becomes more of a fixture in the book. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the next installment. Kudos to Jax Hart!

Was alittle disappointed that it was so short Im not that fast of a reader but this was over in 3hrs.
Love Romina and Roque and this book showed more into the developments of the past years between them as the last book was Roque telling Chloe about their love from Rominas own diaries.
This book sees Chloe now at collage so its only a short time since the last book yet you get more insight into how much Romina wants her revenge and Roques chase to finally catch his red/blue girl.
Really hope they can get a happy ending so much wasted time these two have gone through.

I am simply dying here! The ending of this book had me swiping at my kindle like a mad woman just hoping for more. What? This can't be it right now! Then I cursed out Jax Hart! Now I cannot wait until the next book! I just love the insanely twisted love story of Roque and Romina. They are both crazy. When together or apart, they burn for each other. It is very intense. Please hurry up with the next book!

Requiem by Jax Hart is the second book in the Salvatore Syndicate Series and picks up where the first book, Roque, left off. It continues the story of Roque and Romina who are now separated. Chloe is still the at the forefront of Roque's protection. This fast paced book has a plot with revenge, heartbreak, and danger. The book ends in a cliffhanger and the story continues in the next book entitled Redemption.

Too Short!

This was too short and it had sh!try editing! Too many grammatical errors. I felt this was just published to put something out. It's not the usual quality by Jax. I am very disappointed by this. It ends in a crappy cliffie. I dont think I will get the next book. If you can't publish something of substance and quality, then get out of the game or try harder. It was not worth the money.

I loved Roque and i was waiting with bated breath for Requiem to find out what was going to happen between Romina and him, of course she was still evading him and baiting him too, now i have to wait until Redemption to see if they get together and be a happy family with Chloe or whether they kill each other. I'm hoping for the happy family.

i really want to bang their heads together
What an exciting game of cat and mouse.
There is a fine line between love and hate. But when you desperately want to hate and all you can feel is love, you know you are in trouble.
What an exciting read I am super excited for the third book
I am loving the softer side to Roque, and think Chloe is just perfect

Book two did not disappoint! I have been so in love with this story and to finally get to read book two was awesome.

Roque and Romina did not disappoint. All their passion and desire are in full force. Their ability to seek each other out through everything they have been through is outstanding.

Jax did an amazing job in his book and if you haven't read the series yet, I highly suggest it. These two are one of my favorite couples I have read.
