This collection of books by Alexa Verde is a sweet mix of stories that will warm your heart and show how second chances are possible.

The first book in the set is Hold Me from the Chapel Cove series. It’s a sweet story of two people who loved each other and find love again after years apart with hurt hearts. I loved this book. First, because the setting is in my beautiful state of Oregon. Then second, because it lets us see there is forgiveness and acceptance even when we think there’s no hope.

The second book in this collection is Season of Joy. It is part of a collection of sweet books. Alexa Verde has written the main character in this story with issues that touch me deeply. The struggles she went through with her weight and feelings of worth are so proviolent this day and age. I believe many women, and maybe men could identify. I know I can identify with this character.

The third book in this collection is a new one. Not Your Cinderella Type.
We all wear masks of one kind or another. We often hid behind personalities that might not be our true self, behind looks that might not really be what we’re comfortable in, and jobs that we feel pressured into. It’s all around us.
I loved this book, not only because it was written by one of my favorite authors, Alexa Verde, but because it gave hope and a bit of “happy-ever-after.” I’m a romantic at heart and this book hit the mark for me. It was also just a delight to read during this crazy time in my life.
Throughout this book, the author wove sweet messages of finding acceptance for who we are, just the way we are.
Add this collection of books to your list of sweet books to read! I highly recommend it.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loved these stories!!In Hold Me, we get Roman and Aileen's story. I wanted to read their story as soon as I met Roman in the earlier Chapel Cove books, and was not disappointed!!! I love the way they worked through their past, and that Aileen learned she really could depend on God and trust Him to work things out for her. Also, that she knew Roman would be there for her, no matter what, too.

In Second Chance at Love, we meet Joy, Dylan, and his sons, Travis and Junior. Joy has loved Dylan for years, and he'd always looked at her as a friend. A very good friend, but still a friend. When they meet again after four years, Joy is still in love with him, and Dylan has strong feelings for her. They can't move closer until they both realize that they won't leave each other. That they love each other enough to adapt to each other, and God has their best interests at heart, and can work when we give Him the room to do so!

In Not Your Cinderella Type, we meet Rodrigo and Allie. They first met much younger, and dated at 15. Then, they were split apart by an unfeeling adult. Both had to find their way back to God, and then they could find each other, when they realized they were both worth loving, and God had not abandoned them. Great reads!!!

I received a complimentary copy of this set, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.

Season of Joy
I really liked this best friends turned more romance. The accident prone nature really kept me on my toes. I really hated having to put this book down. The characters were so endearing and engaging! It was great to see some past characters too. It was a very thorough romance that had so much more than I expected. Very introspective.

Hold Me
I love how all of these books overlap - incredible the coordination between the authors. I’m so super excited to reach Roman’s story!! It was a wonderful read. My favorite so far. A lovely single mom second chance.

Not Your Cinderella Type
A sweet fairy tale retelling. A Christian high school sweethearts romance. A lovely novella to cuddle up under the blankets with.

The real Allie, unmasked

Yes,the third story is one of my favorites that I’ll probably read again someday. What powerful reminders that we need to be who God made us to be, and not what other people think we should be. We need to be confident in the Lord and not worrying about how we are criticized by others. I’ll be reading that one again for sure. I had already read the other two stories. Very well done!

Wonderful collection. Warning! After reading these stories, you will want to dive into all the series you have glimpsed here. 😊 My favorites are the Cowboy Crossing stories and Rios Azules ones. These stories are all about second chances and allowing God to heal and guide you. I absolutely love reading Alexa Verde’s books.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

A set of stories with amazing characters. They are full of hope, forgiveness, faith, struggles, and a second chance at love. Letting God be in control instead of always doing it all ourselves. Alexa takes you on an amazing journey in each story. I highly recommend this set all all of her books.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher and this is my honest opinion.

Good stories

I think I enjoyed Season of Joy the most.
Not your cinderella was an interesting twist on the fairy tale. perhaps later the author will fluff out the conclusion so that it isn't so abrupt.

Never Give Up

I enjoyed reading your three stories. The storylines were fast-moving and the characters were great. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Sometimes you have to keep on keeping on.

Great Story!

The characters were wonderful. Allie is so loving and compassionate. I’m glad she was able to be bold again. I loved the connection with Scarlett and hope she gets her happily ever after too.

One thing I like about Alexa Verde's books is that she groups them into sets at reasonable prices, which we readers can really appreciate. I read these at different times but was enthralled with all of them.

Predictable

Writing was ok. Not much depth to it, but there usually isn't in this kind of story. Way too predictable.
