Soy un bombero y nada me asusta. Estoy acostumbrado al peligro y a
tomar riesgos.
¿A quién estoy engañando? Las relaciones y el acercamiento a las mujeres es algo que me asusta mucho.
Hay algo en la chica del apartamento vecino que está cambiando eso,
sin embargo. Me siento atraído por ella. La quiero, pero no el
compromiso.
Así que cuando quema una pizza es una oportunidad para conocerla

Sí, hay momentos poco creíbles pero de todos modos es una historia muy linda y los personajes son agradables.
No tengo mucho más que decir, se deja disfrutar y el 'pero' de que me gustaría que hubiera sido más largo.

This was an ok book. It was short, sweet and a quick read. Definitely a novella or closer to a short story. Great for a quick read or just for something light to read that won't take too much time. It was good and written well. Enjoy

Es una historia corta (tiene menos de 50 páginas), por lo que es un insta-love; y a pesar de que no es mi género favorito, no estuvo mal.
La historia se centra en Cooper, un bombero que no quiere comprometerse, y su vecina Lucy, una profesora de primaria. Ambos sienten atracción por el otro y comparten una noche juntos con la condición, puesta por parte de Cooper, de que sea cosa de una sola vez; pero ambos quedan con ganas de más.
📌 Es una historia muy corta y probablemente olvidable, pero está bien escrita; la recomiendo si no tienes mucho tiempo, pero tienes ganas de leer algo.

Lucy is an elementary school teacher and lives next door to hunky, Cooper a firefighter. Coop has been jonesing after Lucy since she moved in. The minute he gets home he watches her come and go even scoping out her name at the mailboxes. Not a creeper though, wow!
Although, don’t think that the creeping is exclusive to Coop. Nope, not even a little. Lucy keeps tabs on his player's scorecard, she also knows that last weekend he brought home, two hits, and quits.
After, the burnt pizza at her home, things sizzle at his, although he makes it clear he doesn’t do relationships. But when he wakes she is the one who has ducked out quiet as a mouse. That is usually his role, now it’s on him not sure how he feels, hum. She says okay to the one and done. So, she didn’t ghost him. See how well that works for them. When she slips and tells him, it makes him even more intrigued by her.

Cooper is used to having one night stands. He claims he doesn’t want a relationship. Lucy is his neighbor who he’s very much attracted to. Cooper barged into Lucy’s place, thinking it was on fire after seeing smoke. They decide to go to his place and instantly become intimate. He’s honest with her about what he can give her, but how will he take it when she accepts? He’s the one used to being in control.
I really enjoyed their story. The characters were appealing and meshed well together. I recommend for a quick and entertaining read.

Loved it!
I love short stories and always look for new authors to read. I'm super happy that I read this book! I enjoyed the storyline and I like how this author writes. Both main characters (Cooper and Lucy) were great but I totally loved Lucy for standing her ground and refusing to be used! Can't wait for more books!

The first book in the Big Hot Heroes series a well written short story. This is firefighter Cooper who is trying to overcome a tragedy that happened and Lucy a school teacher's story. These two will have their ups and downs before they get their happy ending. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A great book/story
Love how Lucy and Cooper met, living next door to each other. He "rescued" her from a fire in her apartment, which ended up being burned pizza. He only wanted a one night stand. She understood but for some reason it didn't end up that way. Read this story, it's good. Written by Cindy :)

I didn't expect a lot going in due to the length of it. There were a few inconsistencies in the writing and the lack of story depth made it a little confusing/unclear leading to many "did you really just say/think that?" moments. Not my thing but a super quick, lighter steam story if you don't have much time.

I really enjoyed this quickie, but then who doesn't enjoy a quickie? The character development is excellent which really drives the story. There's some hot spices in the bedroom. And the editing is clean which added to the smooth writing style is very entertaining. The dialogue is skipped over a lot and then filled in after the fact, but for this story, it works.

This was a real and sweet short read. It was believable and really nice to see how honesty, caring, commitment and love could humble people who thought they were non believers or would never find love but turns out to be my favorite, A Happily Ever After. I'd recommend the book. Happy Reading!!!

First let me say I am new to this author. I enjoyed reading this book. Lucy Caldwell is a third grade teacher. She has the hots for her neighbor. Cooper Nelson is a firefighter. The author has given us characters we can care about. Cooper, a firefighter, has been lusting for Lucy, a teacher, from afar, until he sees smoke coming from her apartment. Then his only thought is to keep her safe.

A quick and steamy read. The story is fast paced. The characters are great together and have great chemistry. This is the first book it this new series. Looking forward to see what will come next.

A nice short story.
It's a good short story for those who enjoy a quick read.
I loved both the storyline and the characters.
However, for me personally, I just wish there had been a bit more meat on the bone.

Very short book- had good concept of the twist and reasoning but not long enough for characters to really fall for each other that way. One sex scene and it wasn’t too exciting. Had good potential but too short to make it good good. Was just ok 30 min read.
