I may not be locked up on a slave ship anymore, but I still bear the scars. I miss my life on Earth, but I don’t know how I can go back after what was done to me. The Rutharians took everything, and now all I’m able to see are threats. One of my rescuers, Nion, wants to protect me, but I can’t let him get close. I won’t let myself be taken again.
When the Lunarians promise to take me home and wipe my memory of everything that’s happened, I couldn’t be happier … but the longer I stay with them, the more I discover the wonders of the universe, and the more I begin to fall for Nion. I never knew an alien warrior could be so gentle with me, and despite my trauma I want him to claim me.
While Nion is gentle with me, he’s still a dedicated warrior and he’s determined to avenge his murdered brother. No matter how close we seem, can I really be his priority when he’s spent years seeking his revenge? And do I have the strength to be a warrior’s mate? I just want to go home, but I need to decide if that home is on Earth … or with Nion.

The heroine:Alyse - a human female who was abducted from Earth and taken captive by the Rutharian king. Alyse first met the Rutharian king when she was six years old when she refused to go with him and He killed her parents. She comes from a wealthy family and became a doctor before the king returned to Earth and stole her away.
The Hero(es):Nion - A young Lunarian Warrior who made friends with Sawyer from the last book. He is determined to get revenge against the Rutharian who killed his brother. He is a great guy who takes care of his mother and treats human females as people when a lot of others see them as nothing more than wombs for their children.
The Story: Nion leads the raid on the Rutharian ship and saves Alyse from being raped yet again. When they get back to the Lunarian ship, Alyse refuses to be tested for pregnancy because she knows she can’t handle the results. Nion feels desire for Alyse but knows that a human female as beautiful as her would have her pick of wealthy Lunarians and noblemen. Nion is a lowly soldier from nowhere and has nothing of his own, so he knows if he falls for her, he will inevitably lose her.
The book was narrated by Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister in dual points of view and dual narration. I really like these two narrators. Sierra has a great voice for females and she does a low voice for the male characters that actually sounds male. Logan has a great deep voice which was perfect for Nion.
I liked both of these characters. Nion worries a bit about the fact that he is a poor soldier who doesn’t own any land and can’t provide for her like the wealthy elite of Lunaria, but he doesn’t sulk about it and it doesn’t go on and on. He wants Alyse and allows himself to go after what he wants. Alyse is a strong character who has a bit of PTSD but she bounces back from what happened to her fairly quickly. There is a big surprise later in the book which I couldn’t have guessed so that was nice. This was the best book of the series so far and I did purchase the next four.
This time we got the story of Nion who rescued Alyse from her captor and rapist, the king of their enemies. Soon after her rescue Alyse realizes that she is very draw to Nion. However Nion who has no status, no wealth and therefor couldn’t offer Alyse much, thinks he has to stay away from her because their relationship could never happen.
I liked the story of this, though it did had some flaws. Again the past of our heroine was devastating. However she is a strong character and found help and strength in Nion. I liked these two together.
I am so very curious about what happens after the end because there life will have many difficulties coming for them. I wish there would have been an Epiloge in the far future, so we would have gotten at least a hint at what their life looked like then.
Besides that I wish there would have been more danger. They always told how much bad consequences it will have that Nion killed their enemies king but not really any assault on him happens because of that.
Overall I liked this but it’s not my favorite. I am looking forward to the other books.
Love me some Nion! So glad that he got his own story - Highly recommend this story and series!
Written for mature readers only (18+ years old) due to subject matter that that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, adult intimate scenes and violence. This has elements of consensual physical acts AND non-consensual, deeply scaring acts. It also includes human trafficking, rape, assault, torture, extortion ... you name it, so it can tough subjects for people, myself included. Somehow I have found that just thought, fictional or not, someone can still have hope and get their happy ending despite the times of uncertainty we live in.
While this could be read in any order, I highly recommend it be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers and to prevent spoilers due to reoccurring characters and overall storyline arcs.
That being said, I am so happy that Nion got his own story. He has no real thoughts to having more than taking care of his mom as best he could when on planet and avenging the death of his brother. Zion had been following up after their military fights with their enemy, the Rutharians, and trying to determine who was the one that has slain him.
Then enter a human female, Alyss, into his life and he was ready to go from “no mate” to the “take me please” ... Unfortunately Alyss was only recently rescued from a Rutharian vessel and there is a reason their name is derived from “ruthless”. The male who was assaulting her was taken care by Nion. Now they just need to get her safely to their ship so she can heal.
Then one of the medics can check her out and make sure she is okay. Then they would all know then if she is with a cub/child after her ordeal. The Lunarians would still give their life for her safety, but that could better define what they could looking, as the Rutharians wouldn’t pass up trying to take her back. The level of violence would only increase if she pregnant. Then when the doc tries to do the test Alyss tells him ...
Sorry have to stop there so I don’t accidentally provide any spoilers, but the good news is that the story and series are all available through Kindle Unlimited. The best news is that the stories themselves, unlike my simple little review, all end in a human HEA and involve no cheating or cliffhangers.
Earth has become a world divided by class sectors. Human women have been abducted by aliens without earth knowing anything about it. Breeders are sought out across galaxies when Lunarians are looking to strengthen their numbers due to a decline in female mates. Now the Lunarians have seen exactly how human women have been treated by those who kidnapped them and seek to find them and give them a new home in the hopes they will all find the one. But there is danger not only from those of other planets but within their own walls.
I enjoyed the story and felt for the characters as you can see both sides of the coin. There is action, intrigue, pain, suffering, hope, politics and love to be found among the pages.
When a human is involved they will do anything to make them theirs. However, the chemistry explodes, making them confront there are feelings just waiting to be explored. As their connection simmers dangerously close to the surface, they must decide if it is worth the risks that come with uncovering their true desires.
A quick read to take you from reality for a few hours.
I love the world building, the writing is incredible. Two things the author missed the boat on, first no woman who’d been raped and dressed as a whore would be okay wearing harem pants and a bikini top. It bothered me in the other books that the women didn’t put their foot down and insist on shirts and pants. I thought that’d be fixed in this one but she still wore the awful outfits after saying she was uncomfortable in them. Does Leonix wear harem pants or dresses? Nope! Second, how the heck does a doctor not get a pregnancy scan after seeing so many rape victims? Keeping the two babies together means the one they want would be born too early and probably not survive. Made no sense, a raped woman wants to know so she can do something about it. That thing will have a terrible life, kids and people will hate it. Really too far on those things.
Nion, a Lunarian soldier from Nothing, goes on another rescue mission and this time he finds the woman, Alyse, and saves her from another rape from the Rutharian King and other soldiers finds 5 or 6 more women to take back to Lunaria. But they find a traitor in the midst of another rescue mission on an outpost before reaching Lunaria, where they find another female. The return home, but with a huge loss of soldiers from last mission set up by the traitor.
Nion and Alyse fall for each other as they travel back to Lunaria, meets Bria and Sawyer then Nion's mother. But they're not yet out of danger...
Again, well written and action packed worthy read, five cups of steaming java, ☕☕☕☕☕.
Saved By The Warrior Hero: Lunarian Warriors Book 3 By Roxie Ray Kindle unlimited purchase Human females have been abducted from Earth. Now it is the Lunarian's honor to rescue them from the Rutharians. Alyse has known aliens were real since her 6th birthday. Now twenty-two years later it has came full circle. Nion's mission is to save the human females that have been abducted from earth. But he has his own mission to kill the person that killed his brother. This series is great. Yes everthing fit together nicely but then again it is a fictional romance series and that is how its supposed to be. Nice and easy. Abducted by the Warrior Prince Rescued by the warrior Lord Saved By The Warrior Hero Her healing Warrior Her secret Champion Sep 19, 2020.
I love how one book feeds you just enough to make you crave the next one, and this one did not disappoint! I couldn't put it down! It was exciting right from the beginning, disturbing too, and emotionally addictive. I felt for Alyse and everything she went through, she was an easy character to empathise with. Her alien savior was also characterized well and was easy to like. The intrigue in the story was leaked a little at a time but contributed to how much I wanted to keep reading long past my bedtime. This one is a great story that I highly recommend and I'm looking forward to the next one already!
This series took a bit for me to warm up to, but I’m rather enjoying it. Nion isn’t a prince of a high house. He has no lands, no money, no title. But he has risen through the warrior ranks and is a trusted member of his group of soldiers. During the rescue of a human sex slave, he becomes attached to Alyse. He knows he can never have her, but he can’t stop thinking about her. Alyse comes to rely on Nion more and more and desires a future with him. But they need to both get past her brutal treatment by the Rutharians and Lunarian politics.
I would recommend this series to fans of PNR books with the caveat that the first book is the weakest of the series so far. Just keep pressing on!
This a excellent book, I love it. He didn’t had no home, no lands, but he has a big heart to give to his mate. Also he had his vengeance against the killer of his brother, and he brought back the hair back to his mom, so she could put it to rest on his brother tombstone. At the same time he win his mate heart and at the same time they found out who was the traitor. It was a excellent book to read I cannot wait for the 4th book. I’ll recommend this book for the adventure, the suspense to find the traitors in the troops. Thanks Roxie Ray.
Nion is my favourite hero in this series. The book could use some work, so many things glossed over or wrapped up unrealistically that it made it strange they were even included. This author seems to be focusing now on writing traumatized, abused and raped heroines but doesn't really want to delve into any of that. It is implied they are better people because of their ability to recover easily... I dunno. I think all the next ones are in the same boat and it's a little much when their trauma doesn't seem to play a big role. A few inconsistencies. But I loved the heros character so not a loss.
This third installment in the blockbuster tale of the Lunarian Warriors was filled with drama, intrigue and suspense surrounding the characters. We get to see previous characters from the first two books as well as being introduced to new ones. As before in the previous books this one lives up to the expectations of romance, adventure and fantastic journeys into outer space drama and suspense!
I gave in and read it and I’m so glad I did. This was an amazing ride from start to finish and I read it in one sitting way into the early hours. Nion is by far my favourite male lead so far in this series he’s absolutely adorable and Alyssa is such a strong woman and never gives up, loved both of them together. The best book in the series and best couple. Would of loved to of known how things turned out with the twins, This couple definitely deserve a sequel. 5 + stars from me
Rosie Ray has written another very good story with this book. It's sad that even Aliens have the same problems as we humans with traitors. I thought I had the traitor figured out but was proven wrong TWICE. Anyway everything worked out and there was a happy ending. Now on to the next book. I did hope that Nion would get a commission or raise in rank for all the good things he did.
DNF @ 66% I was reading their first sex scene and just kept putting the book down to see other things, that’s when I realised I just couldn’t bother. The H was hot and cold and that’s the worst type of men to me. The h was raped repeatedly by the alien who killed her family but after a week she was ready to get down and dirty with another alien! Yeah, I’m a little cynical towards “healthy” sex drive from a rape victim right after the trauma.

Rescued from the Rutharians by the Lunarians, all Alyse wants is a memory wipe and to go home. Until she's cleared to leave works, she works in the med bay. Nion isn't a noble just a grunt but he's drawn to her. Their relationship starts as a what happens in space stays in space deal but it's soon apparent to everyone they're mates. They battle political intrigue, interspecies differences and their own insecurities to find HEA.
Alyse and Nion were kinda a surprising. I mean I just expected Nion to take her as his mate and wife, but he took his job as warrior and lack of title seriously. I'm glad Alyse chose him so he would go ahead and be with her because they were perfect together.. Great story.
The book was just as great as all the previous ones and holds your attention from beginning to end. It's packed with adventure, action, drama, betrayal, love, and steamy hot romance with awesome characters? A must buy and so ready to read the next book in the series.
So happy for Nion to get a happy ending. I get the whole money, power, dominating men get the girl makes for a good read but it’s nice to see a hard working loyal man get the girl too! Nion is a great character and if he has nothing but love, loyalty and safety to offer then that would be enough for me too!
I am so glad Nion got a happily ever after. He seemed like a great guy in the previous books, so it is great to see him happy. I would have liked a bit more of the what's happening with the Lunarian women and some action with Idria, I'm hopeful that will come in future books as the overall story arc moves forward.
I really am enjoying this series so far. It’s fun & simple with a new couple every book in the overarching Aliens need human wombs saga. I mean I’ve read the same approximation of this plot & series before (Blue Planet Barbarians always comes to mind) but I am quite enjoying this one also. Nion has been my favorite so far.
This one was definitely an interesting one and I went into it blind. It was my favorite out of the series so far, but I made it through and I am happy I finished it. I like Nion so I am happy her got his HEA in the end. The beginning was a hard scene to get through so def check your TW
Alyse is abducted by the Rutharian king and raped repeatedly until the Lunarians boarded the ship and Nion killed the king. Nion is an honourable warrior and saves Alyse, cue the romantic music.
This is a great, if not brutal storyline. There’s aspects of this storyline that will have you on the edge of your seat. With characters that are likeable you will be wanting more. Great performance from both narrators. #audiobookobsessionreviewer
The flow was sometimes off. I thought subject matters were being held with care and truth. I had a few issues with a couple of things which I went over in my notes but overall a really good book for the series.
Again the series doesn’t lack anything. Excitement, enemy aliens, romance and rivalry. I enjoyed coming back to my old friends and made a few new ones too.
